Xtremeguard Full Body Protection - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Hey guys, if you guys are looking for a cheap full body film protection like zagg check out xtremeguard its $5 on amazon + free shipping no tax (gotta love amazon).
I've been through a couple of these full body protections on various devices: zagg, bodyguardz, skinomi, and xtremeguard. They are all virtually the same, the rubbery kind. I actually just order these and should be on its way soon. From what I remember it's not orange peel.. it only gets that "peel" look when you squeegy too hard or stretch the film.
I assume it won't be as nice as ghost armor, but it's only $5 compares to $30 + tax... and honestly, my phone is white and I prefer the clear look.. and i bet many others would too.
If you don't like the rubber feel screen protector, feel free to leave that off and apply your preferred protection (magnum)

you said its not as nice as the GA, but my question to you is that does it stick well like GA? im thinking of trying out your product since im using a white SG2 as well but can you give us your user input after using it? is it like a smooth surface or carbon like GA?
thanks,

It's the same as the other products i mentioned... Like zagg. it's a smooth surface... Not carbon because well it's not carbon designed. Not sure how else to describe it, if you seen or used zagg before then yeah.
Adhesion sticks well. I haven't received it yet for the gs2 but if it's like how it was for other devices. It's a good cheap product. Other users have mentioned it somewhere

I used it as a screen protector, it sucked because it didn't feel like the same as the screen.

It does add a tiny bit of a rubbery feel but I've had no issues at all typing / using the touchscreen. I've had mine on here over a month and it still looks new. The only issue is with the textured battery door. The skin leaves little bubbles because of it. I left it on just for the added protection. I'm also using a tpu case and feel safer having an extra barrier between it and the phone ( dust particles can scratch up a phone pretty bad when they get between the skin and the phone) .

Wow this thing isn't bad at all, xtremeguard really did well on this one.
each film provided goes all the way to the edges.. The screen i actually had to trim a part or two because i wasn't able to place it on perfectly but no big deal at all. the rubbery feel on the screen isn't bad at all. It actually feels better than the cheap plain screen protectors that leaves you grease smudges. This actually prevents that quite a bit. i have the white gs2 so mine sticks on my back really well.
Complaint is that it left the top corners pretty exposed. But i just cut a couple strips from the left over film and placed them on.
I'll add some pictures.. If it is even visible lol
The film thickness isn't bad, it makes the screen about the same height as the surrounding bezel.
I have yet to put on my flex d3o case but i know that'll give the fit problems... Probably have to get a tpu case
When i say trim... It's like a very very small like .5mm strip. I assume it's a perfect fit on the screen thus if you can't put it on perfectly expect some lifts

ebay currently has it for $2.49 shipped. i bought just the screen protector a while ago, and i wasn't too fond of that wet install, but did manage to stick it on. the fitment is kinda poor, although i did trim a little bit of here and there, but it still didn't quite fit perfect. i emailed the vendor and they sent me a new one pretty fast, but i didn't bother to try it again. i bought two cheap ones from amazon recently and the fitment was a little bit smaller than the screen, but at least it wouldn't bubble up with my d30 case on

wow nice find, but yeah wet installs are a pain in the butt! But if done correctly, it ends up pretty nice.
I can guess why the fitment might be off and people should take note especially for the screen... they made the screen a very tight fit and when peeling off the film make sure not to stretch it! once it's stretched, it doesn't go back to its original form right away.
tips on wet install:
-bowl of your solution (soap plus water) better than using a spray
-don't use too much solution, just enough so you can easily take on and off the film, but not to the point where its all slippery
-steamy room (keeps dust down)
-alcohol wipes, don't bother drying
-for screen avoid the bubbles! like most protectors the bubbles will go away, but for this material... when it goes away it, it creates that orange peel effect in that small area.. otherwise its a smooth surface.
-do not squeegee too hard, this causes it to stretch.. use the cloth to soak up the water being squeezed out. I've heard people use the squeegee and the cloth together... haven't done it myself.
-wait until one film fully stays down before applying the next piece... total of 6 easy pieces.
If you don't like the screen protector.. I know there are quite a few who doesn't like the invisible armor rubber feel, you can just use another screen protector
HOWEVER, i recommend using the full body part though. It's really good stuff for those who don't want to put out money for zagg or ghost armor. $2.50 you can't go wrong with that lol.
@mmakoto, you should try out the full body part, I've used this material for every phone i have and it prevents it from the minimal scratches you get from hard cases.. leaving the phone on the table or hard surfaces... keys, low drops.. you get the gist.. It keeps the phone having that smooth slick feel once removed. Oh and it's thinner than zagg. It usually keeps my resale value for the phone high.. like $50 over the average.. thats some good ROI.
D3O FLEX fitment: the flex is a bit looser than the 2 tone ones.. i have both but i doubt the 2 tone one would do well with this.. don't want to risk it
It is able to conform around the phone with the protection on nicely.. If you know about the d3o case... it covers right above the bezel area.. so my screen which had minimal amount of screen protector resting on the bottom right bezel area is barely being lifted (this is user application fault) I can press the screen back down easily.. i will have to trim that area just a tad.
NOTE: the other parts of the screen that i was able to perfectly apply my screen protector (not on the bezel) it fits wonderfully.
TL;DR: Cheap alternative to full body protection (ZAGG). Use a different screen protector if you don't like the rubber feel (not that rubbery though). D3O flex case fits well over it. TPU would probably be a better choice (more room for error)
EDIT no pictures yet... I don't have another camera.. gonna have to wait for the lady to come back from cheating on me in vegas (jk).

I installed this last night. I only did the edges and the battery door since I don't use a screen protector anyway. The back door looks like it has a lot of porosity right now and not sure if that'll go away. The edges work well though I didn't place them that great. It works though. I bought an extra set too. Really cheap!
I may end up doing ghost armor in the near future as this was most to see how I like this style.

Thinking of getting one, for the ones that still have it on how it holding?

Like most full body ones. it gets old and discolored. It held on really well but it started making my white phone look dirty so i just switch it out. It's cheap so i don't mind. Just make sure the corners are down well. I kept taking mine in and out of my case and it started to make the corners peel.

XtremeGuard screen protector

I've used many different kinds of screen protectors in the past, and this time I tried XtremeGuard which I found on eBay. The cost was only $2.50 shipped. I must say hands down, this is the best screen protector I have used.
Other kinds I've used in the past were a thin hard plastic, kind of like a clear overhead sheet, but thinner and sticky on one side. These were not good IMO, because they make the touchscreens less sensitive and since they were hard, the edges would start to peel first and it would be all downhill from there.
The XtremeGuard is a more stretchy film material, kind of like 3M clear bra, or the kind you would find on a car. Its got a nice grippy rubber feel to it, which I actually like. Its "softer" so it sticks better to the screen.
I used a mild soapy water solution to put it on, and at first was kind of concerned with my results. Some areas were cloudy, there were some visible bubbles and when the screen was on it looked all rainbow cuz of the water trapped inside. After a couple days though, all the moisture evaporated, the cloudiness cleared up and all the bubbles were gone. I was left with a perfectly crystal clear screen that adhered all the way around, even on the edges. You would not be able to tell there was a screen protector on here (I have the OEM HTC silicone skin that covers the edges as well so you can't see the edge of the screen protector). The touchscreen works perfectly, and the screen protector does not interfere at all.
The screen protector was the exact size of the screen, perfect cut. Which is good, but makes it challenging to install, if you're off by a tiny bit, the screen protector will stick off the screen and that will be prone to peeling up later on. So take your time during the install to ensure its on there straight and perfectly. I started from the top where the speaker is and lined it up around those lines, and used a credit card to press it down and get as many bubbles out as I could. If this is your first time installing a screen protector, I would suggest getting 2-3 to make sure you get it right. At only $2.50ea, you really can't go wrong here. I'm 100% satisfied.
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-XtremeGUARD...ewItem&pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item35a9e73eed
I would also like to note that I do not work for, or am in any way affiliated with XtremeGuard at all. I simply tried their product, and I liked it, so I'm leaving my feedback here.
I have tried it, but it is like a mm to long on top to bottom. And it was like 2mm to short in width.
That was my experience. Could be wrong for everyone.
I like mine, it fits perfectly. Doesn't stick over the edge and covers the whole thing. Mine was a perfect fit, not too long or short on any sides.
I'll try to get some pics up later when I get the chance
Man, I want to order it so bad, but with Otterbox covers around the corner, I think its a little waste of money.. :S
Any tackiness or stickiness with this protector? I'm currently using Phatom Skinz and love it, but I'm always looking around for something that may potentially be even better...especially with a price like this. How about orange peel?
thanks,
Alan
There is a very slight tackiness with this screen protector, but I actually like it. It gives a good feel when typing. It might interfere with pong or some other games where you need to move your finger really fast, but that doesn't really apply to me.
No orange peel, or any peeling at all for that matter.
The cloudiness really bugs me. The Zagg I had did not cloud like this one does.
The item from ebay is too pricier. This site offers products with much lower price and free shipping world wide. The 3 packed screen protector is much cheaper than 1 packed from ebay.
http://www.geartaker.com/product/3x...opers&utm_medium=minqing&utm_campaign=FA0070B
this 3 packed protector was once sold at $0.01 during its 2nd super deal.
Hey guys, I recently bought one of these off Amazon when I ordered my Otterbox case, it was only $2 so I figured I had nothing to lose. Here's my take on it.

Best Screen Protectors for MT4G

So what do people recommend as the best screen protectors to choose from for the MT4G?
I know everyone has their own opinions on them, but I'm hoping people can post their pros/cons and we can help us all narrow down the choice to a few.
Thanks!
the phantom skinz screen protector! pros: clear, nice feel, covers the whole front. cons: none if installed correctly.
I like the Reallook one. Clear, durable and feels like the glass.
I had the realook and phantom skinz. I settled on phantom skinz. I have the full body matte, plus clear phantom skinz. (Don't install the matte screen protector from PS).
Realook is very good with clear BUT the only thing that sucks is that you get ALOT of oils/fingerprints, etc on it. Easy install and easy clean with soap/water.
Phantom skinz gets oil on the screen too, but not as much. Screen surface is alittle "gummy". (Orange peel is very little to non existant). Watch out as the adhesive backing will attract lint (during installation) and you WILL not be able to get that off. PS also has lifetime warranty = unlimited screen protector replacements. (got the whole kit for $12 during 50% off cyber monday).
Don't bother getting invisible shield, they suck and give you orange peel, and it's thick.
@Jaylito,
Did you notice any kind of cloudiness after you cleaned your screen with alchol/towel? (assuming you've cleaned your screen with alcohol/water) For some reason, mine clouded up on the top.
yeah I have. I guess it's normal tho. goes away if u keep rubbing the screen back & fourth with ur thumb. guess since the material... if it gets wet, it'll cloud a bit cause the moisture seeps thru the inside but it'll dry out bro.
guess I have to do more rubbing then cause it's still cloudy...
oh well....
I tried PhantomSkinz and that was a pain to put on (w/ water and soap), Realook was easy and it didn't peel at the edges.
Zagg Invisishield. Lifetime Warranty.
realook, hands down.
pros: crystal clear, feels like the glass itself, easy to clean, easy to apply, easy to reapply.
cons: a little expensive ($10 for 2, but its totally worth it)

Weird... for me, PS was MUCH EASIER than realook.
PS allows movement up/down/left/right with ease, and then you just squeeze out water.
For realook, it sucked to align the edges cause you can't move the film once you've "stickered" it on. Then you have to peel it back off and realign, causing lint (in my case) to adhere, and then I have to clean it again.
For me the realook was the best by far. I tried a couple of the wet app kind like invisishield and clear freak on the 4 mt4gs that I had and the realook was the best. I agree its a pain to put on, especially if you have animals because of dust and hair, but if you apply it in the bathroom after letting it steam up from the shower, I've found I can get it on without too much dust or hair falling on the screen. Also, get some extra scotch tape and place it on the front of the realook screen to keep your fingers off the adhesive side while applying it. Another nice thing is that each protector comes with two dots to apply to the camera lens in the back.
The only bad thing is that I think the realook attracts fingerprint grease worse than the wet app kind.
I have a zagg on my nexus s mostly because its all that's out right now and will put a realook on as soon as they are available.

The Boxwave screen protectores look pretty good too, though I've never tried one myself.
Ghost Armor. Just added it today on my 4G n its cut to fit perfectly, including the sensors n camera. FEELS like the real glass n doesn't take away from the display like the ones Tmo sales. Avoid those *****es like the plague.
I used Zagg for my Nexus S.
I get generic ones from a guy named lcd-protectors on ebay, 5 for $3.50. They're the stiff kind with two protective layers that you peel off, one before you apply and one after. I'm too cheap to pay more.
i just ordered a full body cover kit from stealthguards.com
choosing the clear type and none of the colored ones, it was $2.85 (full body protection, just pay shipping)
$2.85 sure beats dishing out $25 for zagg which is the same crap.
What do you need a screen protector for? I haven't used a screen protector since I bought the G1 at launch, and I've never had a screen scratch. Keys in my pockets, etc. Never been a problem. These screens are incredibly scratch resistant.
I love these screen protectors that I bought on Amazon. Perfect on the first try with no bubbles! Check it out here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004E49TEG/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1294786757&sr=8-1:
BoxWare screen protector is well IDK how to rate it as it is just regular. What I did not like about it was it does "NOT" fully cover the screen as you have little gap very small which bugs me as I am neat. The feeling right now is artificial as I can tell it is there maybe cuz its still new as I applied it just 2hours ago. So lets wait and see how it turns out in long run.
I grabbed a Reallook screen protector off of amazon:
Pros: The feel and clarity are great
Cons: The cut. It has a cutout for the FFC and leaves a fair bit of space on all sides (as a result it's easy to get on) but it's really short on all sides in my opinion.

SGP Review by Supish
Well its a dry apply screen protector so it is a little by harder to apply than wet applications. However, it is very smooth, almost no resistance and comparable to the naked screen (almost). Absolutely no yellowing as well and still no scratches so far. Good angle visability and not more of a lint/oil magnet than the naked screen. The one I got was advertised as ultra oleophobic meaning it resists oils, I guess it works.
SGP Oleophobic Screen Protector Review by cheetah2k
I've just received the SGP Oleophobic screen protector. It took me a whole 2 minutes to install and is totally bubble free. You get 2 protectors in each packet, plus bubble removal card, cleaning cloth and 4 dust removal stickers.
Definitely the most complete screen protector on the market.
And it works!!! Awesome i give it 10/10
Skinomi Review by djkinetic:
i use the skinomi screen protectors and they are great in my experience, at the time i ordered it it was the only one available, it is a wet apply, put it on align it, and let it dry and its nearly invisible no bubbles, the material is polyurethane, and supposedly has a uv coating to prevent yellowing, it feels smooth when using the touch screen even tho the texture seems rubbery, its weird cuz u can definately tell its a different texture but ur finger still glides over the touch screen like nothin is there. Only downside is that if u knick the protector it doesnt self repair, for example if u press hard on the film with a fingernail it will leave an imprint that doesnt go away. However they do offer lifetime replacements, overall id recommend it.
Ghost Armor Review by cegna09
Used them on my Aria, and now my Atrix. They are awesome if only for the warranty alone. Great coverage of the phone, great protection, awesome at hiding finger grease on the screen. And if you ever need it replaced they send a new one no questions asked, just mail the old one back to them. Had it on my Aria for 6 months without problems, then switched phones.
EMPIRE Screen Protector Review by vin791
bought the empire screen protector from amazon for $4 (free 2 day shipping w/ amazon student) and it rocks. there's a ~.5mm border on the sides and ~1mm border on the top, doesn't both me though and its super clear. i got it perfectly aligned on the 2nd lay down with no bubbles or dust (make sure you wipe it down really good with the cloth they send). its easier when you start from the top of the phone instead of the bottom. i oull the whole sticky side protector off, align the top and kind of guide it straight towards the bottom. the card they send removes any bubbles that are there at first. no worries. as long as you cleaned the surface well and theres no dust, you shouldn't have bubbles when you're done. great and inexpensive product (compared to competitors)
InvisibleSHIELD Maximum Coverage Review by kmiller8:
Immediately after I applied the skin, I could tell instantly I would love it, mainly because of the texture/feel of the plastic "skin" applied to the phone. It added a nice rubbery feel to it while at the same time not making it any harder (maybe even a little easier) to use the OSK and Swype. You can see in the album on pics 2 and 5 where I had a bit of trouble applying, but those could have been easily avoided, had I taken just a few more minutes to make the skin more even throughout the phone. However the edges of the cover are a HUGE lint magnet especially in pockets but I think (hope) that this is just because it was recently applied. Also, it still fits perfectly in the Standard and Car Dock In the pictures it appears as if there are little bubbles throughout the skin, this is not visible under normal lighting, but the flash of the camera seems to have over exaggerated it.
EDIT: After a few weeks with the protector, I ended up removing the part covering the glass, The atrix just looks SOOO much better without a skin protector on the front, but I did keep the ones on the side and back because it adds a much needed grip to the back of the phone.
Fin
I hope this helps someone decide whether or not to get one of these skins, and personally I like the fact that it appears as if it is just the bare phone, but there is a nice layer of protection throughout the phone, however others will equally enjoy a nice OtterBox Defender or Incipio Feather case (two previous options).
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask, or if you have any suggestions to be added to the first post (kit recommendations, personal reviews) reply below!

do you know of any ways to reduce the lint problem? i was thinking of trying to do something along the edges to remove some of the adhesive
Man, i like invisibleshield but i HATE the yellowing that is guaranteed to happen, and even the peeling of the corners that happens VERY often. makes me rage
Yellowing, corner adhesion, edge lint, and texture = no way Invisibleshield is going on my phone. I used it on my Fuze and it was awful.
Is there any other kind of "full body" clear protector that is better?

Whats the texture of the phantomskin? like is it smooth like the regular phone or more "rubbery" like the Zagg shields.
Also, they're the same price $25 before shipping, but i do like how phantomskinz has a matte version avialable
EDIT: nevermind, apparently you get two kits for $25. i might just try out a set.

Yea I have the skinomi screen protector on the atrix as well, and the first day I nicked it with my fingertip and its still there. Also my buddy tried to use the hard end of a capacitive stylus on it and messed it all up... I just ordered a protector from phantom skinz because I only had one on my captivate the whole time Ive had it (since launch) and it still looks brand new. Feels just like skinomi but repairs itself, and you get two for $9.99...

Can you elaboate? Like yellowing? Lint magnent? Angle viewability? Scratch resistant etc etc.
So from this thread and other similar to it:
I should go with either Best skin ever or Phantom Skinz. Question for those that are using the Phantom Skin, did you get the clear or matt finish? What's the difference?

Well its a dry apply screen protector so it is a little by harder to apply than wet applications. However, it is very smooth, almost no resistance and comparable to the naked screen (almost). Absolutely no yellowing as well and still no scratches so far. Good angle visability and not more of a lint/oil magnet than the naked screen. The one I got was advertised as ultra oleophobic meaning it resists oils, I guess it works.

Updated first post with your review. Thank you for that.
I was going to try a Phantom Skinz, but ended up sticking with no screen protector whatsoever

Looking for a Screen Protector

I'm trying to buy a screen protector preferably with a matte finish. I like the fact that its a smooth finish allowing for easy gliding with your fingers. I also looked up crystal clear ones but I do not know how they feel to the touch. Also I'm trying to look for ones with good cutouts (NOT like this: http://www.amazon.com/Fosmon-Anti-G...8-6&keywords=galaxy+s3+screen+protector+matte). Can anyone give me some input or links on amazon?
Have you looked into the Spigen SGP Flex HD screen protectors?

It's wet application, so I don't know how comfortable you feel about installing them.

Do your fingers glide across it easily or does it kinda stick? I've put invisible shields on my phones before and I hate that its sticky (even when I first applied it) and the orange peel/yellowing effect
From what I know, the Flex HD is pretty smooth to the touch and you won't have to worry about any orange peel/yellowing effect because it's a high quality product.

I've been looking @ this:

Trying to look for the cheapest option available and this seems to have good cutouts. Any other suggestions?

not sure about the matte finish or the glide for you, but i can tell you i've had 3 screen protectors on my galaxy s3.
first there was the ZAGG. expensive, full body, etc. the screen protector was decent enough, very plyable and stretchy. uses that press and peel install method. cutouts for the phone suck though. they are cut-downs, not cut outs. more area is exposed than needed. i never did like the feel of it either once it was on. that and the store guy goofed the install, so...tore that off.
then there was the protector that came with Incipio case i bought. way different material. stiff and rigid, a harder plastic feel than the soft plyable ZAGG. i think this is that "crystal" type protector. but the cutouts were worse on this than the ZAGG. even more area exposed because of big cut downs on the top and bottom (lots of area exposed up top basically stretching end to end) i did install it though, and i liked the feel and glide more than the ZAGG. it seems more "slippery". unfortunately the top two corners never took (they are awfully pointy due to the big exposure up top). they seemed to be bent up in the packaging. and so that screen protector also came off (i do like the incipio case though).
now i'm onto the Skinomi. came with a skin. the cut outs are actual cut outs. no cut downs, no extra exposure. install was a little harder due to alignment, i swear i think they cut it small. i did get everything to line up eventually though. old school install with the spray bottle. material of the Skinomi is probably more ZAGG than Incipio-like, but it's not quite as plyable as the ZAGG. I do actually like the feel on my finger with the Skinomi. It's not the same feel as the Incipio though, it has a little more "sticky" to it than the hard protector did. pretty pleased with it tho, and it's working thus far.... :good:
anyway, if that helps, cool. if not, thanks for the vent.
Moshi is nice and anti glare... It does cover edge to edge but the blue trim covers up the blue pebble finish. I have the sgp nano optics on the way...

I picked up the Flex HD and installation went smooth. Only thing I didn't like was the spray bottle included which sucked. After installation, the screen is smooth as silk, very little "tug" or any of that yellowing effect. Best part is, it comes with 2:good:

Anyone plan to sell their second piece of their flex hd? =)
I saw in a review video from a guy who posted it on this forums said it had a rubber feel to it. I'm a swype user and I hate when my finger gets stuck because of that rubber feeling. When I felt matte for the first time, it glided so easily that I would never have problems swyping.

I was never a fan of Zagg products, until I had the HD screen protector installed on my S3. Perfectly clear, and its 100x smoother than regular Invisishield products. Id recommend it to anyone.
so I've had a chance to try a few different screen protectors already and I've found that the edge of the S3 display has a slight curve making it difficult for screen protectors to stay down.
the edges on 3 different sp's have done this. I've tried a full screen and then a few that were smaller than the display and still have issues.
The issue is that thick screen protectors just lift up off the curved display over time..
It sounds like wet SP installs are going good though?

I snagged the Incipio Sicrylic (sp?) off ebay. It's the soft rubber case with the two pieces. A snug rubber piece, and an outer "shell" that snaps onto the rubber case. Works really well actually. My daily case at the moment (better than the vent samsung with coin holder, and a straight skin from skinomi - i have the carbon skin)
I could post a link, but I'm a newb and so that's not allowed. I'll try to take a picture or sometghing and update this or my earlier post. Spent all this money on acc's...might as well share with folks so they don't have to repeat my mistakes....
and to the other poster who mentioned wet installs going well - i'll have to agree. vs the peel install on zagg, and the rgular install on the incipio crystal, i've ben happiest with my work and the protector after the wet install on the skinomi.

I am on my second flex hd and I am taking it off. It's been a week and the "rainbow-like" specks or clouds are appearing. It could be the adhesive that's turning into like colorful sandy appearance. Kinda annoying.
I ordered the Spectre but I am not gonna see it any sooner.
I've used dry application protectors on my other phones but its not going to work with the curved glass of GS3. Good luck.
Im using the Zagg HD, its smooth and installation went smooth.

I'm seriously considering ordering one of the Spectre screen protectors. My only concern is the it will affect what cases I can use.

Invisible Defender Wrap around screen protector - Quick Review

I found this Screen protector on Amazon and what caught my eye is that it wraps around the side of the phone onto the back. at 2 for $15 CDN it was worth trying.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06ZZ5Q95L/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Application:
It was a little rough, the first one had too much adhesive. While trying to take off the 1st part, the Adhesive side, it actually peeled the 2nd part, the screen protector side off. It took a lot of force to get the Adhesive side off the screen protector itself, that i ended up ruining it. However the 2nd sheet was much easier to peel apart. The Adhesive layer comes off in 3 parts. the Screen and one for each side. Lining it up was fairly easy using the speaker, sensors and camera at the top. Once it was on properly, the sides wrapped around to the back of the phone. It's easier to smooth out the bubbles before putting the sides down.
Looks:
It looks really clear but when at an angle with a light there is an orange peel effect but this may have been from over zealous rubbing to get the bubbles out. Regardless I am quite pleased at how good it looks over other film screen protectors I've used in the past with other phones.
In a Case:
I'm using a a Spigen Tough Armor Case
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06XP4FP8N/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The screen protector has a very small clearance at all corners, when applied properly the corner of the case won't touch it nor lift it. Since it wraps around it will not lift it from the sides either, or at least shouldn't. I haven't been able to put it though any long term tests but then again i don't plan on taking the case off any more than i really have to.
Now what you all came for, pictures!

I was about to order the white dome but the review about the prominent lip tuned me to iqshields full body since I will have the phone naked in a holster. I was thinking about the liquid shields next but maybe I'll try this one the next go around if iqshields doesn't work out. Thanks for the find!
I do not see how that wrap around will work. There will be air pocket around the seem .

I just installed one on mine and I dont think you will find a better one than this at this point in time. Its is case friendly with the 3 cases I have tried at this point. UAG, Spigen Liquid Armour, and a Ringke case, the corners are just to the point where they dont touch the case corners. The only potential area of issue for me is after putting on the screen protector (which for me went flawless after watching the youtube install video) was the area around the Power, Volume and Bixby buttons. After putting the case on it wants to "bubble" a bit in those areas. But once I rolled my finger over the edge, pulling back the case slightly it laid the protector back down. its only been a couple hours but so far so good and Im way happier with this $12 purchase over the 45 whitestone dome that seems to be hit or miss.
Photos were taken with the Spigen Liquid Armour case on. Also taken with my tablet so quality on a couple of them are crappy but you should get a good idea,

Just imagine starting off at the edge of your phone to getting started and rolling the phone up like playdoh or a joint smoothing along as you go...to easy!
Thinking about ordering a set of these up. I don't like the orange peel look and the top does not look too case friendly. Does the orange peel smooth out over time or is it permanent?
Personally my opinion of this screen protector as I just purchased and returned it to amazon:
-it messes white whites on your screen. They dont look good anymore after I applied the protector.
-While it does wrap around the sides, when you put on the case it still lifts up the corners and creates little air pockets on the sides of the screen
- Extremely orange peel look on this screen protector.
I purchased the IQ shield case friendly updated version and the image quality is WAY better than this ringke one. Using the IQshield I can actually say for certain it feels like there isnt a screen protector on, with my eyes and my fingers. The ringke you can immediately with just your eyes tell there is something off due to what it does with white balance.
My advice is, dont buy the ringke, there are better ones out there.

if it's lined up properly there is a tiny gap between the screen and the case, so it shouldn't lift. I only had it for a few day and it's getting less and less but i don't think it'll go away completely since i was a little over zealous trying But when i'm using it, it's barly noticable if at all. It's only when a light shines on the screen.
It's not for everyone but i feel it does a good enough job for a lot of people to be happy with. The fact that it wraps around is it's main selling point as it will completely protect the edge screen and the case won't lift it up IF applied properly
I applied one to my S8+ this morning. I think it's great for what it is. It's not glass, but it's smooth and feels like nothing is there. There's an ever so slight orange peel look, but I only notice it when looking at the phone from an angle in light, and it doesn't look like I'll have any lifting from my Ringke case. Overall I'm very pleased with it.
Why not try the BestSkinsEver protectors ? I actually have the edge-to-edge one installed w/ a Ringke Slim case and it is not lifting at all. I thought it would, but actually, it isn't. Now, I would like to use my Spigen Slim Armor case but when I put the phone in there, the corners started to lift up. My BSE case-friendly protectors came in but I will probably wait to install it at a later date.
This is the real deal. Hella nice! Works with my rhinoshield as well
Only issue I've found so far is that the side flaps distort the button mechanics. Takes more force to unlock phone and volume up/down
They'll break in tho. Love the combo
