Imoseyon_leanKernel_v1.3.0gnexus
FEATURES
Patched to latest in Linux 3.0.x branch: 3.0.14, which was released 12/21/11 (lots of new/updated kernel code).
All unnecessary kernel components removed to make kernel lean and fast!
OC to 1.35Ghz (Michael Huang, optimized by me). Boot speed is maxed at 1.2ghz within kernel (in addition to ramdisk) for stability.
GPU overclock (Michael Huang).
User voltage control (Michael Huang, fixed and enhanced by me).
InteractiveX V2 (screen-off hotplug of cpu1) added. Select it using setcpu if you want to use it.
Ramdisk tweaks (sysctl, vm, filesystem speed, etc.)
SWAP & zram (next generation compcache) support. Run "zram enable" in terminal.
init.d support in ramdisk.
Hotplug governor optimized for stability.
cpufreq backport from Linux 3.2-rc7
rcu code backport from Linux 3.2-rc7
other linux 3.2 backports: dm, futex, etc.
Undervolted by default (1.35ghz/1325, 1.2ghz/1300, 920mhz/1250, 700mhz/1150, 350mhz/950)
CHANGELOG
v1.0.0 - Initial release
v1.0.1 - Fixed power off charging (only upgrade if you care about that).
v1.1.0 - rcu code updated to linux 3.2-rc7, boot speed max forced to 1.2ghz within kernel (stability), hotplug governor should be more stable now, zram enabled including custom enable script (run "zram enable" in terminal), small bug fixed in voltage control code.
v1.2.0 - interactiveX V2 with hotplug support, user undervolting works now, and all speeds undervolted by default (clear setcpu settings before flashing), ALSA SoC driver updated to 3.2-rc7
v1.2.1 - reverted a dep voltage change I made in 1.2.0. Only update if you're experiencing stability issues in 1.2.0 (if your coming directly from a version prior to 1.2.0 make sure you clear custom voltage settings)
v1.3.0 - re-wrote a lot of my user undervolting code (fixed some bugs and probably introduced others - haha)
updated dm and futex code to linux 3.2, gpu undervolt at top speed
some code cleanup. (clear setcpu settings before flashing).
Oh one more thing: undervolting 1.35ghz and higher is not reliable yet and is not recommended.

Looks cool might try it iut

Thanks buddy a wait your feedback
I want work on cdma now....

Post on Rootzwiki please plenty of testers there

I'm digging it....very nice work, lots of options to play with, only addition for me would be to change the color of the soft touch keys. Other than that very fast and stable thus far

I was browsing GSM forums the other day. I seen this rom and I'm like "damn why can't we have this rom"..... and now we do I will be testing this out no doubt

Thanks all i wait your feedback

I like it too. Nice toggles lol

Hey I tried this rom and sorry but its not working right. It installed and everything. But on the start up screen, it tells me to pick a language and tells me to hold on while my phone is being activated and when its finished and I hit next, it force closes the setup wizard and brings me back to the select a language screen and it just force closes everytime I try to get past the "activation finished" screen. I did the trick to get past the activation screen and I got to the actual rom and its really sweet. I love the animated pull down. I went into accounts to setup my gmail but gmail wasn't in the options of accounts. Gmail app was on the phone but when i clicked on it, force close. I flashed a G apps zip file that I had on my internal memory but same issues. Trust me, no rom I tried so far had me liking it from the start. I hope you can look into this soon and fix it quick :/
Any others users experienced this?
And yea I did a full wipe and everything
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk

AMAZING
IMO THIS ROM ROCKS! Next to Gummy 0.6.6 - theya re by far the two best on the forums. Hopefully KANG CM9 Project will take off - IMO CM9 for the daily driver once the bugged are worked out.
VERY NICE ROM - HAS EVERYTHING THE OTHERS ARE MISSING.
Please continue porting this to CDMA.

Did you get your Gmail account to sync?

Try downloading the rom file again and flash it again, wipe everything and see what happens, iv had it happen in the past but not with this one. It work flawlessly

Thanks I've gotten it to work. On Rootzwiki it was happening to everyone and someone said to flash the aokp gapps or Gummy gapps and everything worked fine after that so anyone who has that issue should do that.

Cool....that was actually my next question...and if u were using rom manager to wipe n flash but you got it, hope u like it I know I do

Yea its a pretty sweet rom. Im really liking it. Every time I tried a new rom I'd always end up going back to aokp but I don't know if that's the case this time lol

Hey if you don't mind a little feedback......maybe wanna make it for us to be able to move around the navigation buttons. Like to switch them around. I'm not used to the search button being the first button on the navigation bar. Also it might just be me but when when you enable the search button, the search button seems to be a little more spaced out from the rest. And one last little input, maybe make it so we can have the navigation bar any color we want. A lot of roms have this and I kinda got used to it lol but yea other than the two small features this rom is awesome lol

Is this something new for this rom or did I never notice but the 5 apps set right below the line on bottom, you can scroll left and right for more pages? Think that makes sense?

Thanks all for feedback....today fix a setupwizard bug

Its Nova Launcher. You can set it on/off, put up to 7 icons on the dock, put infinite scroll for the dock, put a number of docks (I forgot the number of docks it will let you scroll by), and other options. Nova launcher is a pretty sweet launcher

Tips
recommended (but not needed) - format your sdcard with a sdcard formatter, like this one: http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/sd/download/index.html
To boot on CWM, turn the phone on, let the power button pressed for 10s, choose "Boot AD SD", CWM will start
It's recommended to wipe data and cache using CWM
The boot should take approximately 1min
Space available for EU_LEO 200mb+
Don't choose reboot, choose shutdown. (some users will have high battery drain using reboot, i don't have it. the choice is yours)
no more robot voice, reboot/shutdown after the first boot.
CAUTION: when restoring with CWM do NOT restore system or boot, just restore data and/or cache. If you restore system and boot you're are reverting to the previous version (rom and kernel). Go into advance restore - pick your restore point - choose data. If you want to restore extra user Apps i recommend using mybackup or titanium backup
If you have app2sd backup it as well.

I tried setCPU. Never tried from Ud menu.
But why do you need 1536? IMO only putting extra stress to your phone and don't think you will gain nothing important... Build is super fast on default CPU frequency.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How do I do a full wipe on my phone before flashing?
A. When you boot into recovery, select the option "factory wipe" and confirm it. This will ensure you perform a "FULL WIPE" prior to flashing.
Q. WAAAAH! My MMS is blurry!!! How do I fix this???
A. Send pictures via email, use a 3rd party mms app from market OR flash the CM7 mms app posted by esincho HERE. READ HIS POST!
Q. I keep getting an error when trying to use Wifi-Calling. WTF?
A. You HAVE to use one of the new SIM cards provided by T-mobile AKA the one included with your SGSII. If you are, run fix permissions in recovery.
Q. I installed the Swype Beta and it keeps FC. What gives???
A. You did one of the following - Flashed over a previously installed version of Juggernaut or another rom that had stock swype installed OR restored swype using Titanium backup. That's why a FULL WIPE was recommended. Good job on not following directions.
Q. I just got the update notification from T-mobile. How do I get rid of this???
A. Two ways - download bloat freezer or Titanium Backup Pro from market and freeze "device management" OR use Root Explorer and navigate to /system/app and delete wssyncmldm.apk and wssyncmlnps.apk.
Q. Does this rom include the new baseband/modem???
A. NO. If you want the new baseband/modem, use my guide HERE to flash it through Odin.

Bug When Using Arabic Language ONLY
- Upon reboot MMS will FC when you try to open it. The fix is to change to ANY language, open it then switch back to Arabic. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using a 3rd party MMS app from the market or flashing the CM7 MMS app listed in FAQ above.

I'm only gonna say this once. Do not kang our ****. If you do, we WILL know. Instead of being lazy and uncreative, try doing your own **** for change. Try reading and learning how it works instead of just waiting for us to do it so you can copy and paste. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

Launchers
Just because we included a specific launcher in our ROM does not mean you have to use it. In fact I encourage you to try a different launcher other than the stock TouchWiz one. Here are just a few alternatives. Don't limit yourself ಠ_ಠ
Launcher Pro
ADW Launcher
GO Launcher
TouchWiz 4.5 (modded TW4 launcher)
Launcher2 (stock Gingerbread)
Oh snap
Great to have you guys aboard.
One question, does the kernel support init.d.
I lied, second question... is there a problem with samsung's kernel source?

What about delete cache, wipe data/factory reset, dalvik and format system? Is that not required coming from EB ROM? Thanks in advance. Just want to clear it up for myself and others.

You do not have to. However, if you run into any FC issues you should start over. You should not be getting any FCs related to the ROM itself.

There is no kernel bundled with the ROM YET. The reason is that we're missing a proper updater-binary (I believe) to flash it. I've tried flashing the kernel from CWM and I had no luck so far.
What is the difference between our tw launcher and the tw 4.5 launcher you added?

PLEASE tell me this ROM has the stock Android lock screen?
I cannot stand the Samsung lock screen and I'd like to avoid using WidgetLocker since it always seems to screw up the music when listening to Spotify.
Just downloaded.. Installed booting up now =]! Gonna wait 10 minutes.. Ill be back!
Also I have no light on the soft keys.

Will take some screenshots shortly and yeah, wifi needs fixed but it is not that easy.... we are trying to fix it for over a month now. Hopefully, after Lloir gets his phone, wifi will be fixed.

Why do you want it on Android 4.0.3? It is 4.0.4 as a base, same as CM9. In theory it should work in 4.0.3 but we will need a CM9 based on that android version and I doubt I will ever do it. It works flawlessly as it is.

I don't have contacts on sim, so can you do the following:
Go to "People" (it's right next to the dialer icon) When the "add google account" appears press "Not now" - Press on Import/Export contacts and choose "Import from SIM Card".

So can I run it on 4.0.3? If not, can someone tell me on how to upgrade to 4.0.4?

Thanks a bunch. Quick question - does this support Titanium-KISS kernel? It is the fastest and most stable kernel for me.
Thanks

Dude, when you flash the ROM it'll update to 4.0.4 by itself.....
First come smiles. Then come lies. Last is gunfire.

Why Pure Stock versions are not rooted?
1. The title says it all...PURE!
2. There are users that may not want to root their device
3. It's easy enough to do it yourself. Read next question !!!

What were you thinking when making OVERDRIVE ROM?
3 words... Simplicity, Stability, Performance
What about rom customisations... are there any?
1. I think "Minimal" gives you the answer
2. Don't ask me to add this and that
3. In time I will add more things IF I find them useful or like them myself
4. I won't provide any theming concerning this rom
5. My free time after the birth of my 3rd child is extremely limited !!!

Now that your first boot is complete follow exactly what I say:
1. Settings>XPOSED FRAMEWORK>Installer: install framework and ignore the yellow warning
2. Reboot into recovery and flash the attachment made by osm0sis from this link

This time we go to enable all modules (again ignore the yellow warning)

OVERDRIVE gps.conf edit for non-European Users
a. Go to system/etc/gps.conf
b. First line and replace "europe" with the continent you live in as listed below...DON'T USE COUNTRY NAMES
"africa"
"asia"
"north-america"
"south-america"
"oceania"
c. Save file, reboot and that's about it!
d. At first run, have data enabled in order for a-gps servers to update. You need to be in open air with your gps on
How did you make these roms?
1. Using Google's Official Factory Image link
2. Cooked with dsixda's Android Kitchen link
3. All versions are zipaligned and properly signed
Will I be able to update in the feature?
1. The only version that can receive OTA updates is the odexed version
2. If you have rooted it, you simply loose root and need to re-root after upgrading
3. All other versions must first be updated by me manually and then published here

due to limited time, I will upload them tonight! I know it's fustrating when a thread does not have screens, sorry for that. Anyway, rom is constantly under development. Probably I will update again this weekend (minor things)!
Hello! On the batery side, how this ROM, goes?
screens uploaded as you asked! :good: More will come soon!
EDIT: Because updates will come regularly, I will create a pic folder on the web soon to show all mods and theming parts. I don't want to load first post with tones of screenshots. Will add folder during the weekend along with a new update to be flashed without reset.
Surely it is OVERDRIVEN loving the stock with boosted performance. Cant find volume rocker wake..Haven't flashed the quick settings mod yet..is it the reason?

that probably happened because while on recovery you flashed rom and "quick settings mod" one after the other. You need to first flash rom, reboot and do the setup wizard, then reboot into recovery and flash the "quick settings mod". Read instructions CAREFULLY!

hi all!
custom kernels uses various interfaces to manage some settings, like GPU oc, smartdimmer, backlight values etc, so, i've dicided to make a little app to set these values without use annoying commands through Terminal Emulator every time i need
This app was specificaly made for International One X ( Endeavor_u) BUT some settings should work without problems on other devices ( do this at your own risk )
Features:
ViewPager: you can simply swipe between settings and set the values you want
SlidingMenu by jfeinstein10 (https://github.com/jfeinstein10/SlidingMenu)
some AOKP utilities for bash commands (https://github.com/aokp)
when you close/kill the app no background service will be active! ( less resource usage )
init.d scripts to set the values on boot! no startup services from the app
all the values you set will be saved
an alertDialog tells you to uncheck and recheck the "set on boot" option, if you have changed some values and the "set on boot" option was already enabled
you can use it with your preferred kernel now
Create/load/erase Profiles!
last but not least: Open Source!! :good:
CPU Settings:
- set Max frequency
- set Min frequency
- set Governor
- Governors fine tuning
- set I/O Scheduler
- set Values on device boot ( init.d script)
- Enable Smartdimmer
- change smartdimmer aggressiveness
GPU Settings:
- set Max frequency
- set Min frequency
- set the values on boot ( init.d script)
MISC settings:
- set button backlight brightness ( from 0 to 255)
- enable/disable sweep2wake
- s2w direction
- s2w min distance
- completely disable button backlight
- set values on boot ( init.d script)

Explanation and little how to:
unless you hit the checkbox "set on boot" the values are applied until you reboot the device
if you have enabled the "set on boot" option, after the reboot, if you open the app, you will see the checkbox already checked ( Beware: when you re-open the app after reboot, on the spinners you will see the default values, not the values you have selected before, but, don't panic! the values you have set before reboot are stored in the init.d script( fixed in V1.1) )
if you disable the "set on boot" option, the init.d script will be destroied, so , no bloatware on your device
the app creates the script only when you check the checkboxes

applicable values:
From the new V1.2 all kernel are compatible, this because the app reads available frequencies and available governors directly from system files!
NOTE: if you are experiencing crashes on SENSE roms, before shouting "it's not working", please do the following:
- be sure that you are using a custom kernel that supports UV ( NCX, XM)
- uninstall the old version and install the new one
however, if the app crashes and you have already done the steps above, please post the LOGCAT! so i can check what is causing the issue!

Great app man!!
All other apps which allowed to change GPU settings were paid.
Sent from my HTC ViperX
thanks guys!
:good:
i think that if we need to make a donation, we will make this for our awesome kernel developers, that implements these amazing features
at the moment the available frequencies for GPU max are only 3 because i don't know if we can set any value or we have various steps as for CPU frequencies
( if you have used trickstermod you have noticed that the GPU oc slider has the value steps of "1" )
hey, Thank a Lot for this awesome app !!
Just wanted to report that with this app, the governor "PMC" in Xmister kernel doesn't show up! it's weird because with other apps like Trickster and SetCpu, PMC governor is here..
Thanks anyway for your hard work

That's because I've added the governors manually on the governor spinner
The app doesn't grab the governors directly from the system, it reads the strings.xml inside the app
This is the first version so, in next updates I will try to add the feature to read the values directly from system files but first I want to include sharedpreferences, so, when you choose a value in spinners, this will be saved and restored when you reopen the app

Okay and I think it will be better to work with init.d scripts, the app creates a script for the settings that should be applied on boot, because when I installed it and set some parameters, I rebooted into recovery and wiped cache and dalvik just to see if settings stick after reboot or not, and when the phone booted, the settings were not there, they don't stick

Yep, at the moment, on the app, the values does not stick but if you check the set on boot option then you go in
/system/etc/init.d
You will find scripts called:
99bootgpu
98bootcpu
97bootlight
With the strings to apply values on boot
What I'm trying to do is to save the values you set on the spinners and automatically set these when you open the app
Inviato dal mio HTC One X con Tapatalk 2
ok, i got sharedpreferences working, so , expect an update today
sharedpreferences, will save the value you have selected in the spinners and restore it when you reboot the phone, so , you will have, the init.d script that sets the values at boot and sharedpreferences that sets ONLY the spinner value without apply it because it's already applied by the init.d script , anyway, you can look at which value your cpu/gpu is working
Switches will remain off, this is because, if you want to change the frequency, you can simply set the value and turn the switch on.
Great app mate, thank you! Would be great if you can implement readahead settings.

i'm implementing features slowly because i want a really rock stable app, so expect new features in next update! :good:
meanwhile, i've updated the app! now it reads frequencies and governors directly from system files ( /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/..)and hopefully should be compatible with ALL KERNELS!
Re: [APP][ROOT][4.1+] Custom Settings V1.2.0|set CPU/GPU and more! | ALL kernels!
Absolute awsome work mate cheers pal
Skydragon team chef
it look interesting... he can replace all kernel manager like Trickster MOD or FauxClock for free ? that's it ?
With attractive design UI ?
another great work Cesco,thanks: D: D: Cool:

Switches are made only to set values and as I told before, they will turn back off when you close the app but the values will be applied and saved, so don't worry
These switches works like buttons, I've used these only because I like it more than normal buttons
