Can I get more info, like which rom did you flash, and how did you root your phone, what process did you take? Did you do wipes prior to flashing. Thanks, will try to help you out.

Go back into recovery and flash your backup or use Odin to flash a stock rom, your just in a bootloop. You mustve flashed a bad download.

Seanster_GBaxe EX v1.4.1:Taste of ICS is the rom... pretty much used odin to install cwm base recovery 5.0.2.6 I dont think i wipe prior to flashing. Once I installed the rom it booted fine but everything was slow and my phone kept getting errors, so then i went back in cwm and wiped all the data, now when i try to install the rom again it just takes like 5 seconds to install, i reboot the phone but it keeps going into a loop.... at this point i am pretty lost. I am new to this stuff... :/

How do i download this rom/kernel/mod........
Oh thats right its in the wrong section ah thats it no wonder i couldnt figure it out (sarcasm)

On a more helpful note just wipe and reflash another rom or a backup if you have it, if that fails odin to the stock rooted rom.

I did that and still in a bootloop

Did you goninto recovery and wipe cache dalvik and permissions. Or even better just factory reset after installing stock rom. Odin to stock doesnt faxtory reset your phone. Old files could still be lingering in there.

i did that and the same thing is happening, this blows

Try redownloading the rom, then in recovery make sure you are A. Wipe Factory Data Reset, B. Wipe Cache, C. Advanced Menu Wipe Dalvik D. Advanced Menu Wipe Battery Stats, E. Mounts/Storage Format Cache, System, Boot, Emmc, Then flash the Rom.

Silly question but are you installing 1.4 before flashing 1.4.1? Cause I think that ROM needs the 1.4 full flashed prior to flashing 1.4.1.

can you give me a link to a stock ROM? the one i am using is SGH-T989-Stock-UVKID
so then I do what you just told me
A. Wipe Factory Data Reset, B. Wipe Cache, C. Advanced Menu Wipe Dalvik D. Advanced Menu Wipe Battery Stats, E. Mounts/Storage Format Cache, System, Boot, Emmc,
Then flash the Rom - Go into Odin and Select the file(click pda), then click start - correct?

Follow this to get to stock. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1462870
if phone isnt stock and you still have files there then do factory reset from phone or stock recovery.

[Q] Launcher issue with King-Shooter rom

Im running this version found here

rls-2.3-ODEXED
First off I love this ROM great work and kudos tot he devs. Although recently as last night my launcher will not load for some reason. I have completely powered off the phone and rebooted, but when the phone reboots you can see the notification bar and my wallpaper but that's it, the device is completely unresponsive. Calls come in but no way to answer them Any ideas?
Have you tried wiping cache and dalvik cache?

Boot into recovery and select wipe. That's assuming you're using Amon Ra recovery. If you're using CWM for some reason then boot into recovery and then select wipe then wipe cache, then go back, then go into advanced and wipe dalvik.

Im running Amon Ra and i just completed those steps and rebooted, still same issue.
The only change that was made to the system was I uninstalled Slacker Radio last evening.
What launcher are you using ? Sorry for the long wait. I can't believe nobody else has tried to help you. If that didn't help then my next suggestion would be to just backup everything with the app of your choice then re-flash the rom. I like to try to fix the problem before I just re-flash though, just in case it happens again then you know how to fix it.

T989Kang ROM wont boot

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786202
when trying to install the rom from that thread i get stuck at the boot animation even though i followed all the necessary instructions. what do?
Wipe cache and dalvik cache. When it boots go back to recovery and go advance > fix permission.

i did that and it hasnt worked. i dont know whats causing it since i followed everything OP said to do

Mine too... bricked!
hey, i don't know if this will help with your rom, but i will tell you something that helped me.
i was having the same problem trying to install cm9. this is what to do. don't wipe with recovery.
use darkside super wipe. i run it twice. then flash rom. while still in recover flash darkside cache wipe, not super wipe!!
for some reason when i wiped with the tools inside recovery i would get bootloop. can't lie don't know why but i did this and it woked.
hope this helps..

Have you tried.
Downloading rom again?
Are you doing a full wipe before installing?
Trying a Cache wipe using the darkside flash?
What recovery are you using?
Are you flashing anything with it, a kernel? or a mod?

Random Boot Loops?

I've had my phone for quite some time now and i've done a lot of flashing and stuff until recently i encountered a problem so i did a complete wipe and went back to stock (Stock Modem, ROM, etc). It's been working fine for about a day or so and now all of a sudden i had a random Boot Loop.No biggie. Went into CMW (After i went stock i re-rooted my phone) and wiped the Cache. Working fine again booted up normally.. Then about 15 minutes later it does it again! Why is this?Permanent fix please ?
Ok.The fix i had earlier was working fine for quite some times and I had to do a cache wipe every now and then since it was just drop into a Boot Loop randomly. But now(Today) I had to do a cache wipe AND Darkside Cache wipe at least 7 times(4 times within about 2 hours).A permanent fix for this? Will i have to use Odin to do another Stock fix and then re-root?
Use darkside cache wipe instead. It's in the dev section.

I suggest you use ODIN and flash to stock and start over on a clean slate. After that, simply root and go about your normal flashing.

Ok i flashed to stock with the Manuel I found in the SGH-T989 Development page(Once again) And i STILL receive boot loops..

problems flashing roms, big problems.

I don't know what caused it... but no matter what rom I flash it seems that it always gets through the bootup screens and then gets stuck on the samsung screen, and won't load into a custom rom. It seems like something happened to my system and I have tried everything and nothing it working. I can only run with the stock rom it came with and thats it.
I have no clue whats going on. When I flash from ROM to ROM I take these steps.
1- put rom on SD card
2- nandroid
3- factory wipe from recovery
4- wipe cache
5- wipe dalvik
6- flash rom
7- flash gapps (if on AOSP based)
8- reboot.
I have went back to stock via odin, then reflashed via odin, repushed the recovery, basically started from scratch and nothing is letting me install a new rom. Wasn't really having any problems until today... any ideas? :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
edit- I was thinking, I did ALOT of debloating at the beginning using the aroma debloater, and did some minor debloating myself.. I wouldn't think this would have anything to do with a new rom because when I wipe everything it does a fresh install of everything... So I am stuck.

Yes. Although if you're updating a rom i.e. cm or aokp a cache/dalvik cache wipe will do (unless stated otherwise).

see my main thing was everyone was talking about how if I was going from a modded stock rom to a modded stock rom there would not need anything except cache wipes... and i still get hung..:/
I recommended backing up all of your data, do a factory reset, then go back to stock with an Odin package from development. From there you can root or whatever you please.

[Q] Doing something wrong trying to flash JB

I've installed ROMs before so I'm not a complete noob, but I'm clearly doing something wrong and would like some help.
I've tried installing 3 different JB ROMs (Kobridge tweaked FL04, Jellyverse0.3, JB Black Bean) and everytime I boot up into the Sprint animation and it hangs every single time at the big 4G. I'm coming from BluKuban which I return to every time after flashing EL29 direct boot through pc Odin.
This is what I've been doing:
Installed EL29 direct boot or EL26 stock
cleared cache, davlik and run Format_All_X2
Installed JB modem
installed ROM
run Format All X2 again
A couple of files might be different depending on the ROM instructions, but that's what I've been doing.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Don't flash format all zip after flashing rom zip.
You are wiping system right after flashing rom so there is no system and thus you don't boot.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Thanks for the suggestion, but format_all_x2.zip just wipes data, cache and dalvik, doesn't it? I use it all the time when reflashing Ruj's BluKuban.

Its not a suggestion. Its your FIX. It wipes system. I hope you are not confusing format all x2 zip with modified_format all zip. The modified zip wipes only the caches.
As such there is NO need to wipe after flashing the ROM..
Are you following the directions on the OP of each ROM?
If not... do it, that is how you fix your problem.

Yes I am, unless I'm misunderstanding something. That list is what seemed to be in common to all three.
