[Q] Colored Notification Icons - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I was wondering if there was a way to get colored notification icons like the one's in Calkulin's. It's pretty neat in my opinion. Unfortunately I don't know how to do anything like look through .apk files or develop anything like that.. But I am most certainly willing to learn. Anyway, thanks!
Currently running UnNamed rom.

Evo icons

Okay, this may or may not be in the correct forum, but it's a question. I think the icons are horribly ugly, especially the camera. I know it's not quite rooted yet and it's not super high up on everyone's list, but would anyone be able to help me out with getting better looking stock Android 2.1 icons on there or maybe make an icon pack that replaces the ones on there with 2.1 stock icons? Thanks in advance.

BetterCut?
I tried Better Cut with mine and the stock 2.0 icon pack. The icons are low res and look kind of bad on the large Evo screen.
With the size of the Evo screen you will really want to get More Icons. Trust me on this, it is perfect for this phone.
I've never heard of BetterCut, but it seems like it won't work. My girlfriend has a Nexus and those icons are very classy and would work very well with the Evo, I think. And I just want to replace them completely, not have extra.

[Q] Changing Notification Bar Icons

Basically, I've been using AuraxTSense for a long time now, and once Neo started to implement the Transparent Theme, so I've been sticking with older versions just because I'm not happy with the Transparent Theme. I've now bit the bullet and updated to the latest version, but now there's something I want.
Android Stock has some nice icons, and I'm really not keen on the HTC Notification Bar Icons, I want the icons from stock (like Neo has done in the past, and continues to do) but I have no idea how to do it. I've opened up the framework-res.apk with winzip, browsed in there, found different images etc in there, but I don't know which ones to change.
I hope someone understands what I'm saying!

[Q] Desire Z/HD-Style "3G" and "1X" Images?

Hey! Just flashed back to SkyRaider after giving the Desire Z ROM a go, and one little thing I really liked about it was the icon for 3G and 1X in the notification bar. Any way to put that into a standard Sense rom? Thanks!
The icons should be in framework-res.apk like they are in everything else.
I'll take a look and see what i can do.
EDIT: These particular icons are hiding in com.htc.resources.apk
This is my first MetaMorph theme, but it looks like it should work. Use at your own risk though. If anyone more experienced would like to tell me if this is right or not, I'd appreciate it.
anyone have a screenshot of what they look like
They're actually the stock Android icons. I don't know why, but HTC decided to stop using their custom ones.

Haha so they are! Can't believe I didn't notice that before.

[Request] Modded Framework/UI for Litening

Since i dont have the slightest idea how to do this myself...
Is there anyone that would consider slightly changing the Litening 1.0 framework/UI for me?
I like the rom, it works very nicely, just a few things id really like to change with its look.
I really have trouble with reading menus (the ones that appear when phone is doing something or when you press long to get menu for copy, paste, move...) when the text below them is seen through, id also love to have the notification panel that you pull down without the logo in a simple black non-translucent color.
So if you could make version with the menus and those windows non-transparent, make the notification panel also a simple non-transparent black without the logo and if its not too hard maby add the overscoll glow... i know its a long shot asking this just for me, but id be so happy if this could be done and i bet some other users might also like such a mod...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101879
here it is
I know of that one, but all the menus are still transparent, as well as the notification area (it doesnt have the logo which is nice, but its transparent instead). I really cant use transparent windows as it literally makes my head hurt. Thats the thing i need the most, solid menus/windows/notification area like all the other roms have. The circular battery icon from litening id miss if i used that mod, i really like that circular battery icon. So basically just need to get rid of transparency, the rest is pretty much gravy in litening... the overscroll glow would be a nice bonus, but not nearly as important to me.
I know this is a bit off topic now, but is there any way i could get the power savings widget like it was on the Galaxy S (think it used to be called power control and it had just wifi, bluetooth, gps, sync and brightness) with either blue or green lights? Could i get the one from Galaxy S somewhere that would work or has this already been made somewhere maby?
Or another way would be if someone would deodex the stock framework from KE7 for me so it would work in Litening 1.0... or teach me how to do that myself...
That would replace the menus and notification area with the stock one and leave the system menu and battery icon intact right?
Anyone willing to deodex it for me or at least tell me how to do it myself?
What do you want done? Just a black notification pulldown with no transparency? If so, if you upload your SystemUI.apk from your system/app folder I will do it for you.
EDIT: Or don't bother, I see you've just gone offline. If you want it done in the future, send me a PM.
PM sent. 10char.

Notification Bar Color changer

If anyone wants to try this, It might be a great app for the users that have a hard time seeing the grey on black that the present notification bar is displayed on the stock jelly bean ROM. I have tried a bunch of apps that change the bar's colors and some are really vivid, but are not able to display active things that pop in the bar like weather beetle, screebl icon, etc. It should be possible even without root, because the apps that are already available, can work on non rooted phones. All I want to do is change the color. That ought to be a piece of cake for someone familiar with the inner workings of the jelly bean ROM! If root is required, then so be it! either way would really rock!
I hope someone will jump on this and make it an aroma with color options when flashing....Just change the color!
Thanke!
Like the idea, but to get better help with this you're better off putting it in themes and apps section.

Thanks! I didn't know where the post would be most effective. Maybe a mod could move it there, rather than me double posting.
Thanks!
Hope there is someone that can do it for us!
Aloha!
I let them no, hope someone helps you out.
The Themes and Apps section is really for releases, mods and apks (once you boil it down). This is more of a request type thing. Maybe I can put it in Q&A?
Thoughts?

Also you can check out the general Android Themes section too. IIRC in the old days, we used to use Metamorph and ZipThemer and you could use the correct xmls and they would replace your pre-existing files in the Framework-res.apk and make a redo.zip (only ZipThemer did this) that you could flash. But like I said that was in the old days before we ever had a systemUI.
I wasn't too sure but thought metamorph was his best bet. I've personally never used it... Q&A is good though, I think.
