Download the file and put it into these locations using a root explorer.
For Stock : /data/local
For Custom : /system/media

wow the first & the best. I'm using it.

does it work on most custom roms ?

Use this with a rom/kernel that supports boot animations. Change file name to bootanimation.zip if needed.
Very cool. It's not going to pull me away from the "Haters Gonna Hate" boot animation, but it's definitely easier on the eyes that the ICS animation that has been in Calk's 2.0 and 2.5 recently.
This might be the best layover project ever.
Clean! I like it. Thanks for sharing.
is this a flashable zip??? or can u make this into one
Looks nice.

Do you have a link for that animation . TIA
EDIT: nevermind found it
Very nice. Does it take up the whole screen?
Very nice!

How could you make this usable on stock roms with stock kernels?
Use a different kernel. The kernel has to support bootanimations otherwise you're stuck using those dang .qmg boot images.

Yea I figured. Thanks.

Is this the blue "S"? You can use it on stock repacked kernel. I have it on Chris's EL13 kernel

New CM10 Boot Animation!!

Hey everyone!! Flashing this will give you the new CM10 boot animation! I'm sure noobnl will put it It very soon. This has been tested on Cm10 Nightly build 08242012. It should work on every other build too. I dont see why not. Just not sure about TouchWiz Roms.But until then here it is!! I really didn't do much I just packed it into a flashable zip!! So all credit is to CM and the people who made the boot animation. If it works on other ROM's then let me know!!
A thanks would be appreciated

looks great...do you happen to have the source files without the Cyanogen wording in it? I really like the spinning ring look but i'm not on CM

Just extract the zip I provided and then in /system/media/ open the zip and edit the .jpg files and paint the cyanogemod part black? That's all I can think of. But will take some time to do. There is plenty of jpegs

Very nice! but i'm looking for a center-clock and circle battery only, is it possible for u to make a mod just for that?
I need Circle battery only. Can you separate this mod into 3 parts.
20120918 and I got stuck in a boot loop, any reason why that'd be? Or is this only for 20120912?

Simple Bootanimation for Optimus G

I used to think I want some bootanimations not only simple but nice, so I tried to make ones.
Of course... how you feels about these animations may differ between people, but I did my best, so I wish someone who thinks this is nice can apply this usefully.
It's quite short animations but it takes almost 6 hours cause I didn't buy Photoshop.... :silly:
so I draw this with MsPrint, and some fundamental utilities :crying:
bootanimation.zip (letter 'G' appears, then keeps glowing)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
shutdownanimation_rev.zip (letter 'G' turns brighter, then shatters into pieces)
(hmm... gif animations are playing so slow in my computer... if you are, too, remember that animation goes faster than you see above.)
In Korean JB rom, it's easy to change boot/shutdown animations : just paste these animation zip files to directory '/system/media/'.
But I don't exactly know about other roms, so you might have to convert these files to other format, or even decompile some apps.
I don't mind whether you use images inside these animations, but please tell me after using them : as I mentioned, they're 6-hour-images :cyclops:
__________________________________
2013. 1. 30. : I improved some brightness problem on the first uploaded file(shutdownanimation.zip), and it is uploaded now(shutdownanimation_rev.zip). When you apply this shutdown animation, please rename "shutdownanimation_rev.zip" to "shutdownanimation.zip"
It looks like .gif animation I uploaded don't work properly on xda app... just stopped images are shown. If you want to see animated preview, please view this post on PC.
