leave all that...unless you either s-off or unlock your bootloader you cant go ahead rooting ur phone..follow the below method which i find is easiest::::
#1 unlock ur bootloader using htcdev method(www.htcdev.com) (remember this will void ur warranty).plz do watever is mentioned step by step on the site....
#2 after u unlock bootloader u will still have s-on but ur device is now rootable...
#3 root ur device using unlockroot one click tool (www.unlockroot.com) and u will have root access superuser installed..congrats u r now rooted
#4 installing clockworkmod recovery on your phone via fastboot method (plz dont use rom manager to install cwm recovery as it just provides a temp recovery)..just do it via fastboot method (scan xda forum on how to do it via fastboot)....done ...u r ready to flash a custom rom...
#5 download any custom rom for wildfire (ex:cyanogenmod 7.1.0.1 buzz)and place it on sd card...turn off ur phone and reboot into bootloader and select recover,,ur device will now boot into recovery..then select install zip from sd option and choose the rom file...congrats ull now boot into a custom rom...(dont forget to backup ur existing rom )..hope it does the job for u....

try installing cwm recovery again using fastboot method..just do as is say
#1make a folder in "c:\" and name it fastboot.
#2copy the files recovery.img(download recovery from http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager ), adb.exe and fastboot.exe and AdbWinApi.dll (the later 3 u can copy from sdk platform tools and tools respectively as when unlocking bootloader u used them) and paste these files in the folder "fastboot" u created.
#3 turn off ur mobile and reboot into bootloader (volume down+power) go into fastboot menu and plug ur mobile to pc
#4 open command prompt and type cmd (start>run>cmd)then just type what i say step by step and pushing enter after every line
cd c:\fastboot
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-buzz.img
now ur done .pull out usb plug and reboot again into bootloader and select recovery.now it will take u to clockworkmod recovery...
hope this was useful....

Hi,
On temp directory at C drive, to find folder that RUU extracted in it, please search these text : "adb.exe" or "rom.zip"
Temp Directory Is not C:\Temp ! For example It is on "C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Local\Temp" for WIN7 or VISTA. And for WIN XP It is "C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Local Settings\Temp"
Find It ?
I did find the rom.zip. Does your first version on page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1550397 work or is this V2 better?

It would also be nice if the OP had mentioned that this is for Marvel, not MarvelC. There will be some frustrated noobs trying to figure out why this doesn't work. Hopefully they don't mess up and flash a Marvel recovery on their MarvelC phone.

More on the You-Tube rooting video....
Here's the process written down from the video together with a bit more info for newbies and a couple of fixes to make clear what is being done. After months of trying to root with many methods, this one finally worked and it's logical.

How to Root Android for the HTC Wildfire S
Date: 2012-0620
This process was originally published on YouTube at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqCk2NiHTTg&feature=player_embedded#!
and this You Tube link is also posted on XDA Developers at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1616326
Before rooting the phone, the boot loader must be unlocked and this is done using the HTCDEV website at: htcdev.com. Select Unlock Bootloader and follow the steps provided on the HTC site.
Now on to root the unlocked phone...
The process is basically in 3 steps:
1. Preparing the computer setup.
2. Flashing a ClockworkMod recovery image on the phone.
3. Creating a SD Card with the rooting files (as a zip package) and booting into the recovery partition.
At this time, a Windows PC is needed because you need the phone to register on HTC Sync which is currently Windows only.
1. Preparations:
a. Make sure the HTC Sync is working and that you can connect the phone so that HTC Sync registers its presence. That way, you know that the Windows terminal can communicate with the phone.
b. Download the following file:
fastboot.zip from: http://www.mediafire.com/?50baad8rykng2j0
Credit for this file is given on the YouTube site.
c) Unzip fastboot.zip to create a new folder called "Recovery" which has the following 4 files:
i. AdbWinApi.dll (extension)
ii. fastboot (executable)
iii. install_recovery (batch file) and
iv. recovery (image file)
2. Flashing the recovery file:
a) Power the phone up into the boot loader screen by pressing Volume Down and Power on buttons together. (If you are new to this, you have to power down the phone, then remove and replace the battery before rebooting).
b) Open a windows terminal, navigate to the "Recovery" folder and execute the following command:
<fastboot flash recovery recovery.img>
You should see the terminal report: "writing recovery……OKAY". The process will install the recovery.img file into the recovery partition, so make sure the name is correct.
Reboot the phone.
3. Rooting the phone:
For this section, you need the root.zip file which can be downloaded from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=672519&d=1312...
Add this file to a micro-SD card. Power down the phone and add the SD card.
Boot the phone into boot loader mode using the volume down and power buttons.
Select recovery so that you boot the phone into CWM recovery. Then select "install zip from SD Card"
From the presented options, "Choose zip from SD Card"
Press the power button, then choose zip to apply…
Locate "root.zip" and confirm install with "Yes - install root.zip"
When the file has been read, reboot and check the phone to find the "SuperUser" app installed.
A final check is to download an app that needs superuser access to operate correctly (e.g. "Got Root?").
You're done )
I know a lot of people they root her/his WFS with help from this video.
On a dutch Android Forum the most people that ask how to root, i always tell look as this video and you're done....
Great that the video now on XDA :good:

Regarding to rooting

hi All,
i new user of android os i was used and make lot of roms of Windows mobile. i m new with android i broth htc wildfire to online and they are send i think rooted phone becoz my hboot loader showing following
BUZZ PUT SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.01.1002
MICROP-0622
RADIO-3.35.20.10
but when i install root checker software on mobile it find result this phone has not rooted properly.if it 's not then how to root this hboot version?
so i need help to flashing my phone with other custom rom.
First if all, wrong section.........use the Q and A section for questions
Second....your phone is just S-OFF(Security OFF),you will need to root your phone and install a custom recovery before you can flash roms
Firstly Welcome to our small(i feel its gettin' smaller everyday, nice to see new member  )community, but pay attention to this:
Wildfire Android Development-Threads for ROMs,MODs,PORTs,something that you made, something that you are developing and need some help, and some other things like guides for rooting etc.
Wildfire Q&A-Pretty self-explanatory,just questions and answers.
Your thread is for the Q&A section obviously, but on the question:
Your phone is S=OFF'ed ,which means unlocked bootloader. Now you should just install custom recovery (if it isnt installed yet, you should check it by getting into the bootloader and selectig recovery, use vol up&down + power button to select.)
For more information i suggest you to read the whole index thread:here.Everything is explained very well , just read carefully

the members of this community was not given proper step by step instructions. android rooting i think lite hard. how many percentage to brick the device ? or is it safe?
Great, my phone is now S-OFF, meaning with a completely unlocked bootloader.
1] so i need to root it?
now i have to do this method first ?
◄●Instructions●►
Make sure you downloaded Unrevoked3 for your OS.
If you're on Windows, make sure you "uninstall HTC Sync or any other program that might talk to the phone over USB (doubletwist, etc). They will cause problems" (Unrevoked.com).
Plug your phone into your computer with USB.
Drag down from the notification bar on your phone and select "Charge Only" and "Remember this"
Make sure your phone has USB Debugging turned on by going to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development and checking USB debugging.
Run the Reflash application that you downloaded.
Unrevoked will run its processes. Follow the few instructions it gives and thats it!
2] Then second is this?
Via PC49IMG.zip Process (Needs S-OFF) - Download anyone of the PC49IMG ZIP file of the recovery you wish to install, place on your SDcard, and reboot into HBoot Mode (Power Off, then Vol Down + Power Simultaneously). It will detect the file, and ask to install. Simply select Yes. If you wish to install another version which isn't present below, simply get the IMG file of the recovery version you wish to install, and replace in an existing ZIP. (Without Unzipping)
or 2] will first and 1] will second?
You need not use Unrevoked. Since your device is already S-OFF, you will just have to install a custom Recovery. There are 4 methods outlined in my guide here:

How to Install a new Clockworkmod Recovery Image?
There are 4 basic ways:
1) Via Terminal Emulator (Needs S-OFF) - Guide Here. If you get an error "flash_image: Not Found", follow Steps 1-5 from Here, then, back to the original (first) link. Pushing of flash_image is a 1 time process. You need not repeat it everytime.
2) Via Fastboot (Needs AlphaRev / Revolutionary S-OFF or HTC DEV Unlocked Bootloader) - Guide Here. Refer the part called "To install Clockworkmod after Revolutionary"
3) Via PC49IMG.zip Process (Needs S-OFF) - Download anyone of the PC49IMG ZIP file of the recovery you wish to install, place on your SDcard, and reboot into HBoot Mode (Power Off, then Vol Down + Power Simultaneously). It will detect the file, and ask to install. Simply select Yes. If you wish to install another version which isn't present below, simply get the IMG file of the recovery version you wish to install, and replace in an existing ZIP. (Without Unzipping)
4) Via Unrevoked (No Pre-Requisites. Works on S-ON / S-OFF devices) - Guide Here

Personally, I go with the Fastboot technique since I feel its the easiest of them all. But you can also use the PC49IMG method if you don't have ready access to a PC.
Once CWM is installed, follow this guide to install Custom ROMS (Part 3 onwards)

A video is already available link is in 1st point.
Code:
[B][SIZE="3"]Warning Rooting Voids warranty. I would in any means not be responsible for dead devices, bricked SD cards or any other activity that leads to damage of your device. If you know the risks still want to continue then go ahead.[/SIZE][/B]
First we would like to load scatter file for our device. Process in the video link in 1st point.
Disconnect the phone's battery (if any) [ IN CASE OF XOLO HIVE JUST SWITCH OFF THE DEVICE THEN WAIT FOR 30 seconds and connect the device ] and then press volume up button and connect it with PC it will connect device in preloader mode.
1) We would like to have a backup of our UNROOTED stock ROM. Download MTK Droid Tools (Google it) and then use this method to backup your UNROOTED stock ROM. It is basically Read Back method from SP Flash tool Follow this video tutorial : How to backup unrooted stock ROM
Warning : Please do not continue this tutorial if your device has fake information or any kind of restriction or ubifs file system or you'll brick the device. You have been warned.
This is a text guide for the video :
2) After backup extract the firmware you created using MTK Droid Tools. Process given in video.
3)Now when you get boot.img for your device you're good to go
4) Open MTK Droid tools with administrative privileges and make sure your phone is connected and then migrate to root, backup, recovery tab and click the option to choose boot.img from and locate your stock boot image and make a CWM recovery from it.
5) Wait for process to complete and then check recovery folder inside MTK Droid tools folder. There you'll find two files
Code:
[COLOR="Red"][B]XXXX_bootpatched.img & XXXX_recovery.img[/B][/COLOR]
6) Now open SP flash tool and load the MTKXXXX_Android_scatter_txt and untick every option except for boot.img and recovery.img. Then click on both tabs and locate the modified images created by MTK Droid tools which can be found in recovery folder itself if you haven't moved them.
7) Make sure your phone isn't connected at this time and then hit download button in SP Flash Tool and then with phone's battery removed with volume up button pressed connect it to PC and then flash process will begin. After completion you'll see a green circle at that point disconnect your phone and switch it on. Don't disturb the phone until flashing completes and you see a green circle.
Congratulations! You have CWM Recovery for your device without ROOT!
ROOTING
1) Now download this zip file and flash it via CWM Recovery. SuperSU.zip and reboot.
Congo many will get root access now but not Xolo HIVE You do need to flash this zip. Users that don't get root after flashing supersu zip can also continue further.
2) Download Vroot from here and install it.
3) Connect your phone with USB Debugging on and wait till it detects your device.
4) Now click root button and voila you're rooted!
Now reboot and you'll see the superuser app Now you'll have two Superuser apps (NOT XOLO HIVE USERS) SuperSU from flash and Superuser from Vroot. Not to worry just open SuperSU and it will automatically ask to remove the other Superuser app choose that and reboot and you're done
Luckily those who don't want or find complication in SP Tool Read back method, just download the stock ROM for your device and extract boot.img from it and then follow same steps from 4th step at the beginning from where to create CWM for your device.
I suggest use androidxda.com for most stock ROM's.
Xolo HIVE 8x-1000 users don't Panic I have your CWM and Boot image ready Just download from here : Xolo HIVE Recovery.img
Xolo HIVE Boot Patched.img.
KINDLY DON'T MIRROR MY FILES. IF YOU WANT TO SHARE GIVE THIS LINK TO PEOPLE.
Xolo HIVE users I saved your work upto step 5 from step 6 ,i.e, flashing you need to do manually
I know it's a long and complicated process but it is only method working until a new exploit is available to root the impossible mtk devices.
Conisder me a donation if you can as it will help me to make more guides and apps
If you cant donate hit thanks :good:
That won't cost you!
EDIT : I am adding Xolo MT6592 scatter file too in case you can't generate it. Remember to load scatter file uncheck all options leaving boot.img and recovery.img then flash the boot and recovery I provided ONLY XOLO HIVE USERS

Hello all XDA Members and others who are viewing this thread.
I finally found a way to root the IMPOSSIBLE TO ROOT MediaTek devices!
I personally used it on Xolo HIVE 8x-1000 MT6592M with 2 Gb RAM 1.4 Ghz Octa Core Processor MT6592M.
Devices that won't be rootable by apps like Kingo Root, Vroot(for a certain time), Framaroot, towelroot etc can be rooted and have CWM .

bro i want to ask you about the scatter file, because you have not provided that and it is most useful. i have a xolo hive 8x 1000 and when i am trying to generate scatter file then this error comes. and i have read that this can brick the phone. And the person in the video you suggested in step 1 also said in his video not to proceed if any error comes. so please help.
Scatter file can be easily made :?
You just have to click block path tab it won't brick :/
Also I have provided Xolo HIVE recovery and bootpatched file! Just download this and flash it via SP Flash Tool! You can create scatter yourself! Watch the video!
Connect your phone with USB Debugging on and connect to PC and let mtk droid tools read it.When it does then you click on blocks map tab!

Flashing cwm recovery via sp flashtool doesn't makes you rooted. It just replaces stock recovery

I certainly have helped rooting Xolo 8x-1100 and 8x-1200 to a member.
You need PC for flashing boot.img and recovery.img, Sorry my friend: (
Or try rooting via towelroot first then tell me if you succeed.
Also download your stock ROM from here and send me the recovery.img from it follow this link and download : Xolo Play 8x-1100 stock rom

Hi there, let's go step by step without "shortcuts" that are typically working on PC/WIn.
1. Unlock bootloader of your phone at HTCdev[dot]com [replace 'dot' with . - sorry for confusion I haven't earned reputation to post external links yet]. All necessary tools (fastboot) will be provided to download during process as well as necessary instructions. You need Windows/Linux or OS X computer to complete this step.
2. Download custom recovery .img file and save it to same directory you have fastboot files (e.g. from step 1) on you computer
3. Start phone in fastboot mode (mind fast boot option in Power settings must be unchecked if you using VolDown [-] start option (not necessary if you use adb reboot bootloader). Battery must be charged over 10% (I suggest 30% to stay secure); connect to computer (phone shall display Fastboot USB)
4. Navigate command/terminal window on your computer to location of recovery image file from step 2 (fastboot files must be there or have a correct path specified).
5. On computer terminal window run command: fastboot flash recovery filename_of_recovery.img . Red section must be exact custom recovery file name.
6. You'll get some communication in terminal. If completed OK will be among them, if failure, there will be FAIL with description of reason (e.g. low_power). If only "waitng for device" dislays, check connection with phone.
7. Navigate phone to HBOOT, then select recovery. If recovery don't start, check step 1 and restart from step 3. If only icon with red ! appears, it means you have stock recovery installed. Please verify from step 1.
8. Once custom recovery is installed and working, use it to flash SuperSU or any other superuser app (must be flashable .zip to be applied). Install just 1 root application, to avoid problems. At this point, you may consider flashing busybox also if you plan extensive file modification, but it's not necessary for root. For any sake, clear cache befor restart.
9. Restart the phone - you shall view SuperSU application or any other superuses app you've flashed i step 8.
Hope now works.

Thanks for your answer, I have to say I properly unlocked the phone so I do not think there is a way I messed up with this step as when I start bootloader it clearly shows on the top of the screen ''UNLOCKED".
When I flashed recovery on my phone I had no errors prompted or any message of failure. The process went well until a success notification.
Now when I start my phone into bootloader I repeat, I clearly see that recovery has been installed but when I attempt to start it then I'll be almost instantly brought back to the bootloader screen... now I started to wonder if... if an update of android could cause this kind of issue? The point is my phone is using android 4.4.4 and not the factory version 4.4.2. I remember having updated my android version which was perhaps a mistake as this phone is not very old and I was planning to root it in the next days... Now I'm not expert just try to figure it out.
I tried different system to auto root via different apps, some using the PC some using directly the phone, I never get any success...

Ok, please try twrp from Original Android Development tread (it works for me, mind, I'd question it's stability) or Philz recovery (sorry, I found only Chinese, but it's for verivication only: h...ps://drive.google.com/file/d/0BygOvRquk4z8S05kRC1XMXdSbXM/view?usp=sharing - please adjust tt in address - rookie rules).
I'd suggest test running from Fastboot: fastboot boot custom_recovery.img - replace with actual file name from directory you're running terminal.
This shall verify if it's problem with recovery file or any remaining protection...
