[Q] Screen Shutting off after the samsung logo - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 General

Hey Guys,
Am not sure if someone has already posted it here but i have a wierd problem with galaxy y phone. The phone after switching on loads up the galaxy y logo then the samsung screen logo (both of them are visible clearly on the screen) and immediately after that shuts off. The screen goes blank but after few seconds when i tap on the screen i can hear the lock screen beeps. Does anyone have an idea what might be the problem?
Thanks

Thanks guys, The reason i have not done it is i am trying to figure out how to copy out some data before i reset the phone. If i try connecting it to keis it dosent show up anything because i guess the screen is locked and until i unlock it kies would not connect. Any other workaround for this?

Desire HD wont turn on?

Hey guys,
Was just looking through the market and saw an animations app, so i downloaded it, installed as normal, accepted the superuser request and chose what animation i wanted, (I chose blur if it makes any difference). It then requested a reboot, so i rebooted, but now nothing happens to my phone, It is just like the phone is powered off, nothing comes up on the screen. Ive tried booting normally and booting into recovery but nothing
Any ideas?
I'm using Leedroid ROM and Kernel, both on the latest versions.
Thanks in advance.
What happend if you plug in the power cable? Isn't booting into recovery?

Take the battery out again, put it back and then hold volume down & power button. You can also connect the charger to be sure that this is not caused by low battery level. If it still stays off, you should send it to HTC.

Yep still nothing happens, send it to HTC even though it is rooted?
You have no other choice. Software mods do not void warranty, so it should be ok.

I'm having the same problem now... wilky let me know if you get it working or if HTC gets it fixed without a hassle, because mines rooted .
Hi
I have the same problem. When I put the Battery and plug in the chagher the red led start to flash.
After 1 minute stops.
If someone can help us we will be very happy!!!!!!

Got the same problem after starting to format my sdcard with cwm. Just nothing happens anymore, but when i connect my dhd to my computer its indicated as device "qhsusb_dload", but i cant access it with adb or anything. Tried to foce install htc-drivers, but didnt help. Gonna take it to a local o2 store and check if there can be anything done bout it.
when i drained my battery fully to the point that it turns itself off, when i plugged it in it sort of looped into boot, but after i remove the charger and plugged it again, the red light turned on and i just left if for ten minutes, then pressed the power button then i turned on as normal.
i'm thinking it might be because the battery is just too drained at one point.

I have same problem.
Its just happened NOW. What the hell ? What we can do to fix this ?
Guys
I had the same problem.
I charged aways the phone by the USB on my PC.
But this is a problem.
Try to charge for an Hour or two your usb original charger your phone.
My problem was that the battery was so empty that the PC USB coudn't had the power to charge it. The Original Charger CAN.
So dont wait more and put it and Charge.
Tell me if this was the resolution.
Bye bye

Check whether the download mode appears(press vol down+home+power button)....if it appears then you still have a chance to recover your phone back.

i wasn't flashing anything...just using it normally and then tried to lock the screen but instead of locking the phone switched off....that's why am not sure whether the phone's really bricked or there's some other problem
well...it seems that your batery is empty. try to turn it on with charger plugged in.
i think it's battery problem.
try this :
remove the battery from your phone
wait for atleast 40 sec
insert it
connect your phone to charger
wait till the charging icon appears
switch it on

[Q] Galaxy Note II will not turn on! What to do?

I have a Galaxy Note II with a striaghttalk SIM in it, and i was just browsing the web, put it back in my pocket, and when i tried to turn it on, it wouldnt turn on.
I tried replacing the battery, doing a hard reset, charging it, connecting it to a computer, but it wont even show the start up screen.
I bought this seven months ago from Newegg, but I rooted it so I probably dont have the warranty. Does anyone know how long/much it would take to fix this? Also, has anyone had similar problems?
Thanks in advance

[Q]Unable to boot into Download or recovery mode

I was using my Galaxy S2(SGH-T-989) normally today and it suddenly crashed when I opened my tether app. Now all it does is reboot constantly unless I remove its power source/battery. Sometimes the Samsung logo pops up but the screen just stays black and the phone constantly vibrates like its turning on. I tried to boot into both download mode and recovery mode withe every possible key combination and it does not work.
I also tried removing the battery and let it sit a while without power and then put the battery back in. As soon as i put the battery in it starts up in the loop again.
running Clockwork recovery mod and cyanogen
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I haven't tried that yet since I dont have access to a wall charger but I do have access to a usb cable and it does the same thing like the battery. I will try tonight.
Edit:
same thing with a wall charger. It just vibrates like it starts up and sometimes a samsung logo will appear but it then boots up again and again.
Wrong forum, belongs here. I've asked mods to move your thread, sit tight until they do.

Sounds like a sticky power button, do a search on this forum section for that and you will find a possible workaround for it.
