[Q] Weird thing happening with some apps on 4.0.2 for me - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I noticed with some apps that I download on 4.0.2 I get this popping up:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I know its a 4.0.2 issue because I was on a 4.0.3 rom before with the nexus and the apps in question never happened before, and then went to stock 4.0.2. I also have a captivate that has a 4.0.3 rom on it and the actual app opens perfectly.
So is this happening to anybody else or know how to fix it?

Uncheck force gpu rendering in development settings.

Thanks! I completely forgot that I had that on. That did the trick. If you dont mind me asking, what is it about gpu rendering that makes some apps go like that?

I think it's because the apps doesn't support GPU rendering i believe. Not sure about that though (i'm no developer).

MikG latest build - "device not compatible with this item" error in market

Title says it all, but just to be clear:
I'm using the latest MikG build and it is running great. But when I go into the market, most if the apps that I have installed do not show, and when I search for apps I know are installed (like google maps or Facebook) I get a message at the top that says "this item is not compatible with your device".
I did try to search using the app, but it doesn't seem to work very well.
I have cleared market data both in the applications settings and in titanium.
Any ideas?

Have u changed your pixel density? that can cause market errors identical to this.
oh... yes i have.... and
WTF? I mean, pixel density and the market is blocking me? COME ON.
Is there no way around this foolishness?
I also ran into the same problem yesterday. I haven't touched pixel density. Went to go grab Google Earth off the market and got the same error. Running MikG 2.57.

Not sure if there's a workaround.....I agree it seems crazy. Maybe flashing the old market would work.....I don't seem to remember this nonsense with the older market.

myAT&T app not compatible on GN?

Android market doesn't even show that there is myAT&T app .. and market through web browser says app is not compatible with GN.
Anybody having the same issue or is it just my GN? I am on 4.0.1 stock.
Yep same issue too I was trying to find it the other day it doesn't show up in my market searches either.

Same here, I think it's because they don't like people using non-AT&T phones so they block any of their programs.

It worked on my N1. How do I extract the apk? (I'm rooted).
I'll post it here for your guys..
so I extracted the apk and installed it in my GN...
It doesn't work - you can log in, but as soon as you try to do something, a blank dialog opens. When you click ok, it brings you back to the login screen...

Cuz the app is not compatible with Android 4.0 yet.

Its nothing to do with att blocking, it is not compatible with ICS yet and lots of apps like HBO also don't show up on market.
I believe we should start seeing more ICS compatible apps in the coming months.

Green colored video on Skype with AOKP-build-31 ROM

This is the problem with skype that I am having. The video looks "green". Same thing with both FFC and rear camera. Normal camera app works fine.
I called myself from my Dinc2 to my Transformer prime... The video in the small box on my phone looks fine. But the video from my Dinc2's camera as displayed on my tablet is all green! Same thing if I used my laptop with my phone, too...
Anyone else having this problem? For the record, I observed this problem without AND with the Camera/Camcorder patch...
To specify the ROM I am on:
> AOKP_vivow_build-31
> Kernel 2.6.35.14-cyanogenmod-ge9c716f [email protected] ...
> Android 4.0.4
Screenshot Detailing my current ROM/kernel/build/etc. configuration
Kindly help a sad, sad Panda!!
Thanks!
Anyone please answer

Yup had same prob. Searched all over to no avail. Hangouts work just fine on +.

Same problem here too, running Aeroevan's CM9. It seems to be a problem with ICS updates in general across multiple HTC, and even some non-HTC devices. OTA updates aren't spared either.
Apparently Skype is working with Qualcomm to get the issue fixed, and will have an update pushed out using the "when it's done" approach. Until then, I guess we're just going to have to mess about with Google+ Hangouts, OoVoO, and others.

Wensite stock browser crash - Any ideas?

Hi guys,
I'd really appreciate if anyone on stock 4.2 could check if they can load this website on their stock browser. I notice many of the news articles on this site cause my browser to close. It's the mani newspaper in Ireland, so it should be compliant. I'm wondering is it just my phone though? Maybe it needs a wipe? Any ideas? I've looked at the logcat files but cannot figure it out.

Any feedback appreciated. Thanks
works fine for me, no crashing - went through few articles on the site - completely stock 4.2.2 on UK 3 Network and using stock browser

Thanks for checking this! I appreciate it. This is exactly what I wanted to know. I guess something (an app maybe) on my phone is causing the crash. I'm stock on 4.2.2. Build JDQ39 on O2 Ireland.

From phone to media player

Alright, long time epic 4g touch user, and a while back i reported one lost and got another. I found it yesterday and have decided to basically turn it into a media player. So I need to know if it is safe to uninstall some of the stock applications baked blackbean. I want to remove telephone, messaging, stock browser, 4g settings, and possibly a other things. Does anyone have insight as to whether or not this will cause instability?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
All of the apps mentioned will cause massive force closes if deleted, basically rendering it unusable.

I will be releasing an update to the rom here soon with a script to disable the radio so you can just remove whatever regular apps that you don't want. But I agree, if you start removing the core system apps, it's going to cause a lot of problems. It has incredible battery life. Monitor the thread and we'll see how it goes.

He was asking about Baked Black Bean (AOSP)
Well, that answers my question. I'll disable their auto runs, and hide them in nova launcher. And I'll look at that rom, because if it's as good as you say it might be my new daily driver.
