no its the same as dungs version 1.2 and dung has updated to 1.4
with all the things that needed fixed

No guys, its not the same!
Its a supersmall version!I have about 180mb free Ram! I added the percent battery... And removed many apps!
Its based on his rom, but not exactly the same!

What's not ok? that this man spent his time to bring you another themed gingerbread sense rom. if you dont like it then dont download it. But he shouldn't be critisized. there are like three original gingerbread roms everything else floating around is either an imitation with a theme or some apps taken out, but its all the same. the three originals are NexusHD2 gingerbread, MIUI, and CM7 and the rest are imitatations besides some that are built from source like hyperdroid and UD 3.3 but its still a remake of CM7. nothings really new so be kind to each other. some people can get dis couraged and they can be the next one with a major breakthrough. Just some thoughts from a fellow xda member.

I dont think so. Everybody here tweaks the roms a little bit. We add this and remove that.. I would not call me a Dev just by deleting a lot off stuff. But thats my opinion, you just go ahead, and soon we will be flooded with this "Devs"

If you don't mind it up here then everyone, please drop the subject and keep the thread on topic.

this surely cant be for real take a few apps out and release a rom of someone ellses work what is xda turning into we need more people who no how to port roms over not guys who use other guys work and remove a few things and claim to be a chef it is waisting everyones time how is someone who has no experience in putting a rom together supposed to give suppoert and fixes for the rom use the other guys hard work lol well they may not mind but have a think about what other people would think and think how hard and long people spend to try and find solutions for the problems and the hours and hours of modding things to actualy fix them then someone comes allong and uses them takes them for granted and claims to be a chef or a dev when they really wouldnt have a clue how and what to fix let allone how to even port a rom if everyone who has removed a few apps out of a rom thought of releasing one there would be pages and pages of roms on xda from people that wouldnt even have a clue how to fix issues and all the other things that go along with having a rom.XDA is slowly turning to crap with all this crap people only reading the last posts because they dont want to search people releasing roms that dont have a clue what they are doing or getting themselfs into no posts getting rid of by modderators from all the crap

Why did you removed it? can you please bring it back or post it as installation?

- I have a white space in the HTC Music where the timeline is. So above the play button. This has to be black (image?) i believe.
- The weather isn't working 'My Location: no weather info available' (maybe a setting?) I have gps fix etc.

Added the HtcBrowser.apk in the 2.Poste under Downloads:

Put it on sdcard and try to install, or move the .apk to system/apps and reboot after!

our devices has 512 mb ram (desire Z) but Desire HD has 700+ ram .Thats why ı am asking for swap partition

Quite frankly it would shock me GREATLY if it A wasnt already and B couldn't be more

Have been running it for almost half a day now. Not bad, definitely the best 3.5 rom for the DZ, dont really know about other devices. But sure it has been the smoothest for me.
But of course it still isnt perfect. It be nice if it could be even less laggy. But i havent even setup swap yet on this rom. Even with 500 facebook contacts syncing rom is still decent.
Battery life...I flashed this rom at around 6:00pm at 81%. now after moderate use like setting accounts, and 1 or 2 texts im at 44%. Its definately better than RCMIX.
But coming from Galnet MIUI, battery could still improve.
But I do realize this is Sense. Hopefully the PVT Team puts more work into this so it can be a great daily rom for all.

Your hope is flawed.
DZ HBOOT is only intended for ROM partitions (to make it possible to install Sense ROMs), but not for RAM extension. We only have 512 Mb RAM on board and nothing we can do with that. SWAP is helpful, but decreases sdcard's life.
Unfortunately, HTC Desire Z/T-mobile G2 was built for earlier SENSE ROM - v.2, but surely not for Sense 3.0/3.5. It is developers' afford (thanks them all a lot) to make it possible that our device can run SENSE 3.0/3.5 due to some RAM tweaks + in some cases active SWAP.

Now that's how you do an OP. I'll probably give this a whirl as a change of pace here in the next few days. It certainly looks less absurdly garish than the latest mEDroId eyesore. Thanks for including all the helpful links for tweaking. It is much appreciated to have all the working modifications collected in one place.

It does give you 'real' ram but 'virtual' one. Which means for example, you kill apps and it shows the amount of ram left, after swap there will be no change in that amount but instead you can better "performance", so this is what I mean.

So, it takes the 256mb swap on my sdcard and uses that space as "extra" ram, am I correct?

SD is being loaded as an emmc partition, by the looks of things.
Example:
There is no unmount option. Plus, our phone's don't have that much internal memory. That's the size of my SD-card.
My gallery won't see pics, and TiBu won't recognize the license on my SD card.
Other than that, this baby is great! Smooth and beautiful. Very fluid and detailed animations/transitions.
Edit: Also, YouTube and a couple other Market Apps can't be downloaded, for example, Audio Manager Pro. It says "Device Not Supported."

The OP says that there are mods in the second post. I don't see them; are they hidden somewhere?

Thanks, that helps. But I have one more question. There are a LOT of mods in that thread. How do I know which ones I can or should use for this particular ROM? For example, there are app drawer mods for 1.0 & then several pages later their is the same mod for 1.1. Which one to use?

The only issue I'm having ... well not issue but part of my O.C.D. ... The MMS size limit is maxed out at 300k .. Verizon allows me to send a file up to 1mb .. any way we can change this? MMS works great, very fast in fact.. just wondering if we VZW users can get a bump on the size limit?

Woke up this morning and my softkeys are not lighting up.. not sure what happened.. but they are gone!! I flashed the main rom and patch last night.. nothing else has been flashed..

[ROM] SHPONGLE v3.7 - "You think you can handle it?" [31.08.2012]

FIRST THING TO DO AFTER SETTING UP AN INTERNET CONNECTION / THINGS THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
Go to SuperSU app (located in your app drawer) and when the prompt for update appears, press INSTALL button! This is imperative for root because without this update you will face difficulties on giving root to apps such as Root Explorer. This will install a new list of Su Binaries.
AFTER INSTALLING THE UPDATE - RESTART YOUR PHONE!!!
If you have problems with getting the keyboard to appear, don't panic. Do this: Go to sms - new - in the message spot (or contacts) press and hold until the menu appears - press Input method and then select Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard.
I suggest you restart at least once, after you've finished setting up your new rom - it will improve overall speed (don't know why, it just does)
For a faster and long-lasting rom, it is IMPERATIVE TO DELETE the following folders from your SDCARD (not only for my rom - it is a general thing):
/data
/.Trash
/Android
/Lost.DIR
Because I have changed the theme, to get rid of those gingerbread status bar notifications line, go to SETTINGS - ADVANCED SETTINGS - INTERFACE - NOTIFICATION POWER WIDGET - Select "Hide indicator" and "Hide Scrollbar". (or you can set the color of the indicatior to something invisible).
Prologue:
I am so happy with what this project become. At first it was a rom with a theme and a few things but now it has its own personality, it is no longer a based rom, it is a hard worked rom from a hard working guy. I have spent several hours and days from my own time to make this stable, faster, stronger and in the same time adding stuff to reach look and feeling of an ICS rom.
Now that JellyBean (Android 4.1) is out (in a small manner), adding elements to this rom to reach look of JB is imperative (although it is pretty much the same as ICS in terms of graphics - changes are internally in JB).
This ROM has helped me in understanding and learning some things about Android internal's stuff. I am more than welcome to learn even more and I know that I am by far to be called a developer, mostly you can call me a modder or some sort. However, doing this sort of work will continue to consolidate my knowledge and hopefully someday I will build my own rom.
Let's talk about kernel - because here I spent almost 60% of the time:
Kernel is FLYKERNEL - This Kernel came somewhat stock because out there you can find many tweaks available to improve it even more than it is.. (tested). So I started to first read a lot of documentations from various sources and understand how everything works. First I've made horrible mistakes with internal task killer (who have installed beast v1, beast v2 knows what I'm talking about), then I started to retweak it, and then again. So here I was on my chair, flashing test builds on my hero like a crazy person.
After internal task killer was fixed with lower values, I started to implement tweaks one at a time (implement - build - flash - redo). It was not an easy task because it takes alot of time to flash a build, test it, retweak, reflash and retest.
After all of this, I have cherry-picked tweaks from this kernel and set the internal task killer to work best for our small amount of ram.
I hope all of you can appreciate this work as much as I do and hope you have a nice stay on this thread.
So why did you changed the name?
Well, today I've worked almost 12 hours on the rom and in all this time I've listened to Shpongle (youtube it) and I've said to myself, why not changing the name since almost everything works so different right now? If you don't like it, I don't care !

@ras_mastav, have you've tried this? It has huge memory tweak within init.rc and init.goldfish.rc.
You will get ridiculous free ram and it moves fast! Faster than Decked_X I must say. And the main reason for not choosing Decked_X is because the .apks we're not compatible with some mods! I needed a pure CM 7 rom!

I don't like the stock Gallery app - Just install Quickpick. It's way better!
2. A2SD - I thought this was broken but since I don't have SD card partition (because you don't really need it unless you install hundred of apps) it was not tested. Will try to add it in the next release.

How's the speed compared to other roms?
Check the OP for original ICS bootanimation. It is a flashable zip!

The rom is fast, as fast as other GB roms, can't really tell if there is a difference (might be placebo effect)
Edit: Need to test it more I think, but it's blazing fast and I'm gonna stick with this rom as I love the ICS feel. ty

It should be faster than any other GB rom that hasn't memory tweaks.
The 6 levels of memory are as follows:
2048, 3584, 19200, 23040, 24320, 32000
I didn't even overclocked the cpu at max, it is stock (576 i guess) and it moves very fast and smooth. If I overclock, I think it will fly as hell!

I don't think it's a good idea.
On currently settings it's workin smooth. When you try to change something in memory pages for more restrictive autokiller you can lost a good working multitasking. For example your sms app will be still rebooting, browser will be closed at every time when you answer the phone. I don't see a sense.
But you can try if for yourself of course.

I introduce to you my new rom based on HTC ONE V (RUU 2.22 Europe) with some stuff from HTC Desire X (RUU 1.18). This rom have many tweeks that you will not find them in any SENSE LITE rom (e.g. 5, 7 or 9 desktops, live wallpapers from personalize settings). This rom is very fast, beauty and stable.

Great news. Will be tested

Some slight lag at first (as expected to me right after a fresh flash of a rom) but after I use it more and more it's quite smooth. I have 2D instead of 3D with 5 homescreens, and practically nothing installed except Twitter. Pretty much at this rate the only Sense 4.x rom I can see myself using as a daily driver instead of just messing around with. All that's left is to see what my battery life is at in about 9-11 hours when I plug my phone in for bed.

wifi not working

Its really nice, but somehow my wifi wont work. It dont want to connect to my network. When i reboot, it will connect once, but without access to internet. when i disable it and enable again, its not connecting.

Hello, I flashed this ROM but it gives me error after sometime when phone boot "sdcard unexpectedly removed" this is really weird to me.

Playing around with the ROM and this program https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=panorama.activity does not work for me. The screen is blank and I have attached a logcat as well for you.

I have been using this ROM for a day now
Besides the camera program issue, I haven't found any other issues. I run my ROMS a little different.
First on ICS/JB ROMS I run the swap file in /cache instead of the sdcard and also I change the minfree (I run a script to do it) to 1536,3072,4096,21000,23000,25000, which for me seems to give good results.
Also the wifi calling app (VisionWifiCalling_v3.1_Android4.0.x.zip) works for me as well.
I am using the 3.0.63 advanced sense kernel r2, and was wondering what others are using and how well it is working for them.

I'm downloading this ROM, and I'll post the results later. Is the camera fully functional?

Very aggressive OOM killer is bad idea for low memory devices.
Version 1.1.1 is up.

One small little thing I noticed is say if I turned on my phone, and the first app I opened was the Play store, every other app I open after that shows, well the best way to put it is kind of a screenshot like thingy of the first app you opened, if that makes sense, and hopefully if it does others know what I'm meaning. xD

This is happening when you install rom with fast rotation selected (this is experimental mod).

Yes it is aggressive, but I have never had issues and for me I get the performance I desire.

Version 1.1.2 is up.
There will be no more updates for a while. The Next step is MIUI v5.
I must share with you guys with my older roms - MIUI v3 and MIUI v4, but first I must translate installers .

Thanks, this (at least to me) does seem like the best 4.0.3 Sense ROM, using it as a DD (or is it dd).
I do have 1 question: Advantages between the different kernels (as the other Sense ROMS seem to all use the .50 kernel - unless you manually flash a new one)?

This is tuff question, everyone should test this kernels and choice favorite one. I prefer Faka 3.0.72 kernel or Advanced sense kernel r2. They have really good performance and runs very smooth (I like SIO scheduler and smartassv2 governor).
Others roms using .50 kernels, maybe because kernels .60+ have system write mounting bug. In this rom I applied workaround for this bug.
