Good find. I already have a 32gb card but I may pick one of these up. I have a bad feeling that my card is going bad :/

Cheaper on amazon!

Awesome if you have Amazon Prime!
The one with the adapter is like $1 more.

Actually the one in OP is class 4 whereas the one on amazon is class 1? I believe.. its not marked so I'm assuming that's what it is.
In that, the OP is a far better deal.

Nice. I got a 32gb refurb off of Taday's Steal for $20. So far so good.

Patriot Memory seems to be hit or miss, but most class 10's seem to be like that.
Check newegg for the reviews.
Amazon has it for 31.
Or with adapter for 33.
Woops, guess I can't post links, but it's easily enough searched for.

It's because you are a newbie (like me). After 8-10 posts you may post links.

Just thought I would let everyone know that the hit or miss 32GB Patriot class 10 is back on sale with a MIR of 20 dollars making the total to 25+taxes. From the SOUND of it, they might have shaped back up and reduced failure rates on these cards.
It's on newegg, would post a link, but obviously can't.

I just bought and received a Samsung 32gb Class 10 SDHC card that tested at the correct speeds for $51.00 on amazon.
You can get burned really easily buying dirt cheap SD cards off of Ebay and Amazon. As the old saying goes, "If it sounds too good to be true; it normally is." There are tons of counterfeit and fake cards on those sites.

I hate to say it but the same Samsung card is selling for 35+tax+ship on frys right now til thursday.

Any good sources for a 32GB micro SD?

We are less than two weeks from Samsung Focus's (Foci) being available in the US. Does anybody have any leads to reputable retailers for class 6 32GB micro SD's?
No Ebay fakes like we have several threads for in here, but the genuine deal, preferably the Samsung variant, but leads to other reputable makers would be welcome as well.
Very interesting quote from MS about why they did not want microSD's used in their WP7 phones and why the Samsung Focus is the only model to have a user upgradeable microSD. This may be a bit of fear mongering but it points out what we already know. Buy a reputable class 6 card and test it before you put it in your phone.
“In most cases, users will have issues,” . “Most cards are of poor quality, and there’s no way we can control that or recommend a certain type of card. If you happen to get a good card, with the right performance and IO characteristics, it will work reliably. But even a bad card will appear to work at first, and the device will boot.”
A bad card will apparently result in “horrible, unreliable performance, slow app boot times and performance, lock-ups, and random reboots.”
When asked by Paul Thurrot how the Samsung Focus gets way with expandable storage, Microsoft claimed this was a feature requested and supported by the carrier, in this case AT&T.

I would guess that it is fake. Just run the checker on it when it arrives and complain to eBay when it is fake. I would not buy 32GB from eBay right now, but that is just me.

I ended up getting the 16GB Class 6 from NewEgg for $49. Cost was my discriminator. I could not bring myself to spend half the price of the phone on memory. I am going with the 16GB until the 32 or even 64 is available at under a hundred bucks and class 6.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...16GB_microsdhc_class_6-_-20-211-379-_-Product
Never buy an SD card off ebay. The sellers re label cards to misrepresent size and almost always misrepresent the class of the card. They even display the correct size in a pc or phone, but when you try to write data past a certain point, they error out.
Always purchase SD cards though a reputable dealer.
I figured the re-usability was worth the extra cost. My current 16GB SD card has been used in 3 phones now, so I figure if I spend a little extra on a nice 32GB it will last me a while.

Nov 16th? Are you waiting for the Dell? Is that the latest date for that model. 1 Week for me to the 8th.
Oh and MS only requires a class 2 minimum. You will see all sorts of speculation about what difference the class makes to the card. Most speculation seems to be that the higher classes are more important on the smaller storage sizes, but I have not seen that personally.
The only empirical proof I have is there was a huge difference going from a 2GB class 2 to a 8GB class 4 in my Fuze. I am looking forward to checking out my 16GB class 6. Similar to going from dial up to high speed, I simply could not stomach risking going to a 32GB class 2 on the off chance it really does feel slower.

As I already have the 32gb class 2 i'm not risking more money as such, if it turns out to be rubbish I'll probably sell it with the HD2 once I'm happy with the Dell.

Lexar 16 gig Class 10

So I just ordered a Lexar 16 gig Class 10 SDHC off of Ebay. It cost 20.50 with free shipping and handling. It had some pretty okay specs listed. Has anyone every tried this brand of sd card? I figured for the price it can't be that bad

Haven't heard anything really negative about Lexar, so hopefully it's good.
But you have to be careful with those cards off of ebay, you can often get fakes. Make sure you check it right when you get it (use something like what's discussed here: How to spot a fake SDHC card... I believe there are also apps in the market).
Again, hopefully it'll be all good, but if there's any trouble, hopefully you can report it to ebay and get a refund.
Thanks bud! Will do! I heard of fake items like SD cards and batteries on there but the seller seemed pretty authentic. Worse comes to worse I'll return it

Thanks for the link, definetly good info. I'll be checking my card tonight.
Finally came in today at about noon. So far so good. Seems snappy. I'm going to run a speed test and post the results
So it is a legitimate learn card? I got 16gb class 4 thinking it'd be fast enough but it's not. Time to upgrade again

I am looking into one of the class 10 as well, currently on a 16gb class 4, and i cant tell a speed difference from the Class 8 i had in previously, i think its worth the investment, just makes things like the gallery and titanium run faster

I found this samsung 32g micro sd card high speed class10 waterproof and shockproof!

Generally, Samsung cards are of very high quality. Not sure if you've ever used one but they are very reliable and are made to work. The class you pay for is the class you get.
There are other reputable card manufacturers of course, but with the widespread availability of them now, there is a much higher risk of a fake or being duped with a low class one.
As far as I know, rip off samsungs are rare if even in existence. I could be wrong.
As someone said Samsung makes good quality card, and this one is Class 10 so its speedier. I don't understand the shock/water resistent bit. Isn't flash memory shock resistent by nature?

I own this card and it is specifically rated for 1080p vid plaback and top transfer rates. You have to look beyond that someone stammped "Class 10" on thier card. If you don't believe me, buy a Wintech card and tell me how its treating you when your data is just gone one day and the card cannot be reformatted.
I payed $50 for this card and it is worth every penny.

Got my card in the mail today. What kind of speed test results do you get (using SD Tools)? I'm showing 5.1MB/s write and 8MB/s read. I also don't see any "card info" when in SD Tools. Was hoping I could see manufacturing information and a serial to prove this isn't a fake Samsung...
Real-world writing yields about 10MB/s write.
I always thought Micro SD cards were faster... then I remembered that just full-sized SD and CF are even remotely fast!

Fantastic find, I'd buy it if I didn't already have a 16 GB SD card...
Got my card today I am really happy that I bought this. It came unopened with it's original samsung packaging. Comparing with the one I bought from amazon... check the pics below.
Mistaken entry.
Ordered mine about 4/5 days ago and received it today. Although I had a 16GB (not from Samsung) and didn't use all of it up, I still went ahead and got this. Can't go wrong with it, glad I got it.
I got 10.22MB/s writing and 32.16 MB/s reading using the SD Card Tester app.
Transferring music over seems to be a lot slower than it was using my 2gb card though. Is there a preferred way of introducing a new sd card to the android operating system?

SanDisk 64GB Ultra microSDXC 95MB/s

what do you guys think about this Sandisk with a 95MB/s speed:
http://www.adorama.com/IDSIUMS64GB.html
is it overkill? can the S3 even handle this card? i'll be using the camera a lot, if it makes a difference, as it's my only camera. i'll also be moving music in and out frequently.
i've seen it sell for much more on other sites, so i thought that $99 price isn't too bad. i live near the store also, so i could go pick it up today.
do you guys think it's worth it? thanks!

Yah I think that's wrong. Looks like the adapter is rated for 95MB/s.
Even though it says "microSDXC" that's a regular sized SD card in the photo, it looks shopped.
The correct card/option should be SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSDXC Card Class 10 UHS-1 Plus Adapter $59.95
It's a 64GB Class 10. I may just walk over to the store and get it. $99 seems reasonable for it right? I don't think I can wait 2-5 weeks for the Amazon deal.

They charged me wayyy too much for shipping last time I bought from them. It was something like $10 and the envelope with my sd card in it (from USPS) said in the corner the cost was less than $2.
On the plus side, though, the shipped me a class 4 card when the description said class 2.

I bought that exact card from Amazon for my SGS3, the phone can handle it just fine. Just make sure you reformat it as FAT32 or it will be useless in recovery if you're using CWM. Once reformatted CWM recovery can see it just fine.

Micro SD choices

OK I'm in the hunt for a 32GB class 10 SD card. I have been reading a lot about one called Komputerbay. Seems as though it may be made by Samsung or for Samsung. All the reviews that I have found seem to be pretty consistent, however, these reviews are like any other review, you just read them. No response from people in real time. I want to direct my question to those that I can trust and have direct contact with in real time. Does anyone have any info on this product? Or have any suggestions, or recommendations? 16 or 32GB not really a concern. Main concern is speed class 6 or 10, who has the true tested speed? TIA for all who help.
EDIT
I have also found one called 3C Pro, any info here too? thanx
Komputerbay is nothing to do with Samsung.
It's a SD card adapter see here
You can see the speed test here for the class 10
Not a very smart idea to use a class 10 on the OG evo. Its meant to only be compatible with cards up to class 4.
