[Q]help - overclock - wifi doesnt work

I have rooted my DHD with the [ROM] Android Revolution HD 3.1

It works fine.
Then, experimentally I try to overclock my DHD with the instruction from this website:

My DHD can be overclocked max. to 1,228 Ghz, but the wifi doesn't work
even after step 21 (and also factory reset), what should I do now?
Have I bricked my DHD (wifi)?

Bricking your DHD is something else...
Ok...wifi works when you do not overclock? Have you tried to reboot your DHD and see if that helps? Or, did you try alternate programs to OC your cpu?

Yes, it works fine, when I don't overclock it. Even after I installed the [ROM] Android Revolution HD 3.1.

Need Help! How to Open SWAP?

I Know G1 can have some kernel to support SWAP Partition. To our Desire, for large games, ram runs out.
I have looked for a Desire kernel to get SWAP, plz Help...

Get the sources of the kernel & compile it whit swap support.
But believe, you don't need it for Desire.

[Q] App2SD Kernel for stock note 2

Does any developer know of a way to substitute the stock kernel in a note 2 with one that allows the app2sd init,d script.
my note 2 is rooted and has CWM but other than that no other changes. i am a very heavy user of apps due to the field that i work in, and 16gb internal mem is not good enough, i have a 64gb class 10 sd card fully working, but very underused.

Yes but not recommended.. Not very stable

Hey, I'm using MIUI 4.12.5 Android 4.4.4 based on CM. Is it ok if I flash Next kernel, and should I repack it or smth like this? Or just download and flash?
And which one should I dl for best battery life ? And what the differens between OC and not OC?

To be safe... Repack.. Non OC.. OC mostly for games

Bro i`m using EP 7.9 CpuQuiet version but it seems slow motion not working. But it's working perfect in IntelliPlug 10.5

Stuck at bootlogo after flashing nextcpu kernel
I flashed the kernel as per the instructions. But after flashing it, the phone got stuck in airplane mode, tried flashing stock kernel and then the phone wont even boot up. even Nandroid backup is not working!! Help please... I need to pull out my data out of the storage but the cwm 'mount usb storage' is not working, as well as philz. Tried flashing twrp, but the touch is not working. I am totally trapped out please help. The hboot got upgraded from 1.36 to 1.72 maybe thats the culprit.

I found the fix !!
I had a nandroid backup stored in my pc (made 3 months ago). I extracted the boot.img and flashed it via fastboot and then cleared the cache.

Sorry for the super noob question but I'm just helping a friend. Can this be flashed on aicp ol directly? Can't understand what is going on with the repacks etc with this phone.

Not compatible with lollipop I guess.. No device anymore. Repack needed because of ramdisk. Init file needed to boot up phone

[Q] Kernel with binfmt_misc_kernel and 3G/1G vm split

Hello All,
My goal is to run a windows x86 executable on my Sony Z1. As far as I know I need a kernel with support for binfmt_misc_kernel module and 3G/1G vm split. Then it would be possible to run wine under qemu user mode or exagear on near native speed.
Since I'm a rookie (not even!) in kernel development or compiling I'd like to ask you if you know a way to help me? Anybody knows of any available rom compiled with those options? Or how would I find this out? As far as I can tell the CM11 does not run exagear because of the lacking binfmt_misc_kernel module...

Maybe @jerpelea can point a word or two out on this? Ask him - he is with Sony since a couple of months ago and a skilled guy when it comes to advanced Android / Linux hacking.

Ok cool I will PM @jerpelea. A while ago I also asked @DooMLoRD about this, he answered that most kernels already have the 3G/1G vm split options. No word about the binfmt_misc_kernel module though.
