Very thin. No reduction in touchscreen sensitivity.
Clear and remains visible under daylight.
Has a texture on its surface that I really like.
Tough, So far no scratches.
Whats in Box:
3 BasalGuardz Premium Quality Screen Protectors - Anti-Glare/Matte

Are these comparable to the PowerSupport screen protectors for Apple products?
Starting to get tired of the Zagg's tackiness.
They are pretty darn cheap for a 3 pack I might just order one.

Ya I had iPhone 3gs pretty close to power support. Before this I had zagg just terrible quality and fitting on top wasn't that great and orange peel. Glad I find out this sp

Does the protector go edge to edge and stick well to the rounded edges? Any pics?

Ya fits perfect. But my camera is on repair when it comes I'll get the pictures.

just ordered one off ebay i messed up my ZAGG and im so pissed.. i contacted them if they could give me replacement sice i bought like 5 of these for me and my friends. Hopefully this one is good

Just bought the pack of three off amazon, $8.49. Had some leftover amazon credit and used it anyway.
I'll update on the quality/comparison to power support.

Just got mine in today. Gonna install them later when I can steam the bathroom, but doing a preliminary fit, they cover the screen perfectly.
Edit: After install the bottom edge does not want to stay down. Not much of a problem for me as I have a case on the way.
It does add a rainbow effect to the screen that is most prominent on whites or brighter colors. Don't know if it'll go away with time, but I am willing to live with it for now because the feel is way better than the Zagg.
It is definitely easier to slide my finger around. Does not attract much fingerprints and the anti-glare works well enough for me.
Overall, I'm happy with it. Mostly because of the price and improved feel over the Zagg. I'll have to do some long-term testing regarding the rainbow effect and if I can put up with it.

Just got mine and put one on. Fit is better than most, but the blasted curved edges do cause the top and bottom to lip up. I have an otterbox commuter so i don't even see the bottom just a little lipping at the top. Overall besides that, the cutouts are exact, the camera is perfectly cut and the earpiece looks good too. The anti glare effect is not for everyone, but i do appreciate it although it causes graininess. Barely any grease gets on this guy which is amazing. 8/10 for these protectors.
As compared to powersupport: take it like this... unless powersupport themselves makes protectors for the nexus, these are a clear runnerup to them.
One thing that is EXREMELY frustrating is that they used the system of two tabs on one edge to apply the protector, and they made the two tabs at the bottom of the protector, allowing for zero focal point to pivot the protector. Really wish they put them at the top. I still managed a perfect fit though

I just received mine. Here was my application method:
- Wipe with Windex electronics wipe
- Wipe with included microfiber cloth
- Spray with air duster can
- Peel off first layer and apply tape to the adjacent corner
- Position and press down with included card or plastic squeegee
- Peel off last layer and smooth out with microfiber and card
I LOVE the texture. Swyping is much easier. The matte finish is nice and goes well with my Qubits case. It does however make the screen look a bit grainy. Not so noticeable on dark colors, but when looking at lighter screens (i.e. Message app) it's noticeable.

I agree with the swiping, this matte finish has literately no friction that glass or plastic would have on your fingers, whether their dry, wet, or greasy. Antiglare films are one reason why my Temple Run session was extremely high on the iPod, lol.

Can anyone with this screen protector post some pics or video? Thanks.

+1 ^
I think im going to pull the trigger on these been looking into matte protectors an the reviews for these seem to be better than the rest, wouldn't mind seeing a video or a few pictures before i purchase but im getting real tired of the verizon protector i have

I've said it before in a different thread that the display quality of these devices are absolutely amazing, it would be a pity to ruin that with a screen protector. There isn't a true perfect screen protector, but the two I'd recommend is either XO or martin fields. The basal is cheap, but martin fields is also dry and super clear. However, it is a oil magnet just like the XO.

I'll take some pictures tomorrow when I get to the office. I just put a new one on tonight and it came out very nice.

By reading these comments, wouldn't this screen protector be the same quality as the one Verizon sells? I used to have the Verizon one but I stepped away because of the grainy look on white screens (difficult to read sometimes).

Here are a couple of pics.

Thanks for the pics, they look very good to me, im sold about to jump on amazon and order right now.

Skinomi is like InvisibleShield and require a wet application? I want a normal shield protector that just a stick on. Is Realook a wet application too?

My experience was just the opposite. My InvisibleShield kept peeling but my dry install screen protector was near perfect. I had the iPhone 3GS before the Atrix so I had a Power Support screen protector.
I just placed an order for Realook. I'll report in when I get it!
From the description, it is very similar to the Martin Fields protector which is slightly thick but strong and difficult to scratch.
I purchase this one early before the Realook was being sold:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PDHS9Y
It also has good reviews from other Android phones and it comes in 3 pcs/pkg. I'll compare it to the Martin Fields.
i just bought skinomi ones for like 16$ :x
I think the Realook screens are some of the best out there. The surface feel of it is very good albeit not as slick as those anti-glare ones. They aren't the most anti-finger goo, but they're not any worse than any other screen. When the phone is off, and you look at the screen in just the right light and angle (usually 45deg oblique under a fluorescent bulb) you see a very obvious rainbow effect. Not very desirable, but is not visible at any other time so it's okay.
The protection is adequate (never really tested but it works for me). The fit is excellent. Its the regular stick on kind. No touch sensitivity impedance. I've been waiting for the realook one for the Atrix for a while now. Don't understand why it's so hard to just cut plastic sheets...
Best part is that they're not stupidly priced. $10 for 2. Good value.
My room mate got the otterbox case and it came with a screen protector also. I think its one of the best screens I've seen. It seems to be very very anti-finger goo. Gonna look into it.
So I got my Realook cover today so here is a short review:
The packaging came quite professionally and included the standard stuff you would expect from a premium screen protector: microfiber cloth, alcohol wipe for cleaning, and some applicator to aid in putting it on. Each protector was individually wrapped. So good so far.
Now the bad. Both protectors I received were slightly warped; this means that the protector is not very thick. When applied, the warp goes away and does not affect the adhesiveness. What really annoyed me was that they decided to cut out a hole for the front camera; that in itself is not bad, but they decided to cut a U-shape out to the edge of the phone instead of just a circle. This, to me, is laziness or cost-cutting. This cut leaves a part of my screen unprotected. The second issue is that the part around the speaker hole are slightly bent and bubbled, making the protector not stick perfectly on the screen.
See my attached photo for these two issues.
Overall, I would give this protector a 7/10. The protector also shows a rainbow hue when seen from an angle. This doesn't bother me too much, especially when the screen is on, but I expected more. All in all, for $11 bucks for 2, it's not a bad bang for the buck but I'll probably try a SGP. Does anyone have a reveiw for the SGP? Does it cover the camera hole?
the Skinomi has the same outline for the camera.. I think it's standard for our phone..

Trust me when I say cutting the U instead of the circle is better. With the circle, if they just punch it out, it warps the material between the speaker and the camera, and leaves a bubble. iPhone 4 screen protectors are bad for this. The AT&T official screen protectors do this too, and it works fine.
I will be putting mine and the gf's on tonight..

SGP Review by Supish
Well its a dry apply screen protector so it is a little by harder to apply than wet applications. However, it is very smooth, almost no resistance and comparable to the naked screen (almost). Absolutely no yellowing as well and still no scratches so far. Good angle visability and not more of a lint/oil magnet than the naked screen. The one I got was advertised as ultra oleophobic meaning it resists oils, I guess it works.
SGP Oleophobic Screen Protector Review by cheetah2k
I've just received the SGP Oleophobic screen protector. It took me a whole 2 minutes to install and is totally bubble free. You get 2 protectors in each packet, plus bubble removal card, cleaning cloth and 4 dust removal stickers.
Definitely the most complete screen protector on the market.
And it works!!! Awesome i give it 10/10
Skinomi Review by djkinetic:
i use the skinomi screen protectors and they are great in my experience, at the time i ordered it it was the only one available, it is a wet apply, put it on align it, and let it dry and its nearly invisible no bubbles, the material is polyurethane, and supposedly has a uv coating to prevent yellowing, it feels smooth when using the touch screen even tho the texture seems rubbery, its weird cuz u can definately tell its a different texture but ur finger still glides over the touch screen like nothin is there. Only downside is that if u knick the protector it doesnt self repair, for example if u press hard on the film with a fingernail it will leave an imprint that doesnt go away. However they do offer lifetime replacements, overall id recommend it.
Ghost Armor Review by cegna09
Used them on my Aria, and now my Atrix. They are awesome if only for the warranty alone. Great coverage of the phone, great protection, awesome at hiding finger grease on the screen. And if you ever need it replaced they send a new one no questions asked, just mail the old one back to them. Had it on my Aria for 6 months without problems, then switched phones.
EMPIRE Screen Protector Review by vin791
bought the empire screen protector from amazon for $4 (free 2 day shipping w/ amazon student) and it rocks. there's a ~.5mm border on the sides and ~1mm border on the top, doesn't both me though and its super clear. i got it perfectly aligned on the 2nd lay down with no bubbles or dust (make sure you wipe it down really good with the cloth they send). its easier when you start from the top of the phone instead of the bottom. i oull the whole sticky side protector off, align the top and kind of guide it straight towards the bottom. the card they send removes any bubbles that are there at first. no worries. as long as you cleaned the surface well and theres no dust, you shouldn't have bubbles when you're done. great and inexpensive product (compared to competitors)
InvisibleSHIELD Maximum Coverage Review by kmiller8:
Immediately after I applied the skin, I could tell instantly I would love it, mainly because of the texture/feel of the plastic "skin" applied to the phone. It added a nice rubbery feel to it while at the same time not making it any harder (maybe even a little easier) to use the OSK and Swype. You can see in the album on pics 2 and 5 where I had a bit of trouble applying, but those could have been easily avoided, had I taken just a few more minutes to make the skin more even throughout the phone. However the edges of the cover are a HUGE lint magnet especially in pockets but I think (hope) that this is just because it was recently applied. Also, it still fits perfectly in the Standard and Car Dock In the pictures it appears as if there are little bubbles throughout the skin, this is not visible under normal lighting, but the flash of the camera seems to have over exaggerated it.
EDIT: After a few weeks with the protector, I ended up removing the part covering the glass, The atrix just looks SOOO much better without a skin protector on the front, but I did keep the ones on the side and back because it adds a much needed grip to the back of the phone.
Fin
I hope this helps someone decide whether or not to get one of these skins, and personally I like the fact that it appears as if it is just the bare phone, but there is a nice layer of protection throughout the phone, however others will equally enjoy a nice OtterBox Defender or Incipio Feather case (two previous options).
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask, or if you have any suggestions to be added to the first post (kit recommendations, personal reviews) reply below!

do you know of any ways to reduce the lint problem? i was thinking of trying to do something along the edges to remove some of the adhesive
Man, i like invisibleshield but i HATE the yellowing that is guaranteed to happen, and even the peeling of the corners that happens VERY often. makes me rage
Yellowing, corner adhesion, edge lint, and texture = no way Invisibleshield is going on my phone. I used it on my Fuze and it was awful.
Is there any other kind of "full body" clear protector that is better?

Whats the texture of the phantomskin? like is it smooth like the regular phone or more "rubbery" like the Zagg shields.
Also, they're the same price $25 before shipping, but i do like how phantomskinz has a matte version avialable

Also my buddy tried to use the hard end of a capacitive stylus on it and messed it all up... Can you elaboate? Like yellowing? Lint magnent? Angle viewability? Scratch resistant etc etc.
So from this thread and other similar to it:
I should go with either Best skin ever or Phantom Skinz. Question for those that are using the Phantom Skin, did you get the clear or matt finish? What's the difference?

Belkin Matte Anti-Glare Screen Overlay

I just installed Belkin Matte screen overlay on both of my Xoom's. I paid $25 for a two pack at Target. I am extremely impressed with the product. Eliminated smudges with only a moderate loss in light transmission. I installed using the water spray method. To keep from water damage. I wrapped the periphery of each Xoom with paper towels. I sprayed the sticky side of the overlay with water and carefully layed it down over the screen. Using a credit card wrapped in a few layers of paper towels I started from the center and worked my way out to the sides.
http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=546374
any actual pics?
Same here.. I got the Motorola BT keyboard on clearance for $48, and got the Belkin matte screen 2 pack also
I'm liking it a lot so far, was VERY easy to put on and looks great. It still smudges a little but not nearly as much.
i would also love to see pics... especially how the screen is looking with matte screen protector. the ones i used were terrible.

I tried taking some pics, but you really couldn't see anything.
I've used these type of protectors before. The first coouple days, you feel good about protecting your device, but the lackluster feel and reduced screen look will make you claw it off soon. I have been using my X and XOOM for a long time with no screen protectors with no probem. Motorola has a great build quality with the Corning Gorilla Glass, and it is rather resillient.
P.S. I do keep my xoom in the folio case, and am well pleased with the protection.
I'm glad I saw this thread. I got these for Christmas and kind of f'ed up on the first one, but the second one seemed like it was actually too big slightly, so I exchanged them at Target today and tried the water spray method which worked like a charm. There does seem to be a little moisture in some areas but it has been slowly going away since I reinstalled the new covers a couple hours ago. I personally think the screen looks much better with a matte cover on it (and most screens in general look better with matte covers). On all white backgrounds you can kind of see a prism effect, but I think the contrast is actually better, and pls there are no more fingerprints or any glare. It makes for much better viewing in bright areas too, gonna try it outside soon - without a cover you can't even see the screen unless you're in the shade when outdoors. I think this is the way that LCD displays were meant to be seen, LCD TVs always have a matte screen, and laptop LCDs with a matte finish are always more expensive than glossy. Anyway...I love it.

Screen Protector Recommendations

Hey folks,
I'm wondering if anybody has any good recommendations for a screen protector. Normally I hate them but if possible I'd like one that's not really visible and won't collect dust.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Your best bet is with XOskins. I've tried both dry and wet app, and for clarity you should go for XOskins. I've heard very little about martin fields, but it's $20 for 1 and it's a dry app, so it'll be smooth unlike the XO. The only thing about XO is the rubbery feeling, however it is a great product and you should definitely go with it.
I personally have tried a handful of screen protectors, so I'll write up a quick review on all of them and try to help you out.
Clear screen protector from Verizon: around $15 for 3 dry applications. Does not fit up to the edges and has a rainbow effect at certain angles. Would not recommend.
SGP flex: around $15 wet application. Does fit up to the edges, but like other wet applications, still feels rubbery and has some minimal orange peelish effect. If you don't mind the feel/look, it will protect well. I personally do not like the feel/look of wet applications.
SGP oleophobic: around $15 for 2 dry applications. Does not fit up to the edges, but feels really nice and repels oil well. If you don't mind not having full coverage around the edges, I would recommend this.
Martin Fields: around $15 for 1 dry application. Does fit up to the edges, but because of our curved display, the bottom and lower side portions of the screen protector lift minimally. Also, does seem to be a fingerprint magnet. If you like dry applications with full coverage and don't mind small lifting at the bottom and lower sides, this works well. I'm personally using this since I like dry applications and it covers everything except the earpiece. It also comes with a small circle protector for the rear camera which is kinda cool.
ARM Station: free (?) I went to their site and emailed them asking for a sample and they sent 2 samples over to me for free. They're in China, so it took a little over a week. This fits pretty much to the edge, but slightly less than the Martin Fields, which is nice because the edges don't lift. They are thin, so I don't know how much protection these will offer and there is the rainbow effect like the clear Verizon protectors. If you don't mind those things and like the full coverage of the screen, these are really nice. Just don't know how much longer they will be sending out "free" samples.
Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. One more question, which ones are least visible? In other words, which one will help my screen look like I don't have a screen protector? I'm super OCD and that bothers me lol.

There are 2 things that make you aware of having a screen protector - the clarity and the fit.
Oleophobic is pretty clear but it's not edge to edge, so you could obviously tell there's a protector sitting on top of your screen because of the margin around it.
XO is just as clear BUT it's wet application so it means the texture is slightly rubbery. No orange peel though, unlike Zagg.
Will the martin fields cover enough so that the cases can "lip" over it? I remember the sgp had considerable gap on the edges and thought that no case would cover those. I have the diztronic v3 case if that matters.
I've tried almost all these screen protector and for $7.99 you can get basalguardz screen protector and there is 3 in the package. Can't go wrong

Looking for a Screen Protector

I'm trying to buy a screen protector preferably with a matte finish. I like the fact that its a smooth finish allowing for easy gliding with your fingers. I also looked up crystal clear ones but I do not know how they feel to the touch. Also I'm trying to look for ones with good cutouts (NOT like this: http://www.amazon.com/Fosmon-Anti-G...8-6&keywords=galaxy+s3+screen+protector+matte). Can anyone give me some input or links on amazon?
Have you looked into the Spigen SGP Flex HD screen protectors?

It's wet application, so I don't know how comfortable you feel about installing them.

Do your fingers glide across it easily or does it kinda stick? I've put invisible shields on my phones before and I hate that its sticky (even when I first applied it) and the orange peel/yellowing effect
From what I know, the Flex HD is pretty smooth to the touch and you won't have to worry about any orange peel/yellowing effect because it's a high quality product.

I've been looking @ this:

Trying to look for the cheapest option available and this seems to have good cutouts. Any other suggestions?

not sure about the matte finish or the glide for you, but i can tell you i've had 3 screen protectors on my galaxy s3.
first there was the ZAGG. expensive, full body, etc. the screen protector was decent enough, very plyable and stretchy. uses that press and peel install method. cutouts for the phone suck though. they are cut-downs, not cut outs. more area is exposed than needed. i never did like the feel of it either once it was on. that and the store guy goofed the install, so...tore that off.
then there was the protector that came with Incipio case i bought. way different material. stiff and rigid, a harder plastic feel than the soft plyable ZAGG. i think this is that "crystal" type protector. but the cutouts were worse on this than the ZAGG. even more area exposed because of big cut downs on the top and bottom (lots of area exposed up top basically stretching end to end) i did install it though, and i liked the feel and glide more than the ZAGG. it seems more "slippery". unfortunately the top two corners never took (they are awfully pointy due to the big exposure up top). they seemed to be bent up in the packaging. and so that screen protector also came off (i do like the incipio case though).
now i'm onto the Skinomi. came with a skin. the cut outs are actual cut outs. no cut downs, no extra exposure. install was a little harder due to alignment, i swear i think they cut it small. i did get everything to line up eventually though. old school install with the spray bottle. material of the Skinomi is probably more ZAGG than Incipio-like, but it's not quite as plyable as the ZAGG. I do actually like the feel on my finger with the Skinomi. It's not the same feel as the Incipio though, it has a little more "sticky" to it than the hard protector did. pretty pleased with it tho, and it's working thus far.... :good:
anyway, if that helps, cool. if not, thanks for the vent.
Moshi is nice and anti glare... It does cover edge to edge but the blue trim covers up the blue pebble finish. I have the sgp nano optics on the way...

I picked up the Flex HD and installation went smooth. Only thing I didn't like was the spray bottle included which sucked. After installation, the screen is smooth as silk, very little "tug" or any of that yellowing effect. Best part is, it comes with 2:good:

Anyone plan to sell their second piece of their flex hd? =)
I saw in a review video from a guy who posted it on this forums said it had a rubber feel to it. I'm a swype user and I hate when my finger gets stuck because of that rubber feeling. When I felt matte for the first time, it glided so easily that I would never have problems swyping.

I was never a fan of Zagg products, until I had the HD screen protector installed on my S3. Perfectly clear, and its 100x smoother than regular Invisishield products. Id recommend it to anyone.
so I've had a chance to try a few different screen protectors already and I've found that the edge of the S3 display has a slight curve making it difficult for screen protectors to stay down.
the edges on 3 different sp's have done this. I've tried a full screen and then a few that were smaller than the display and still have issues.
The issue is that thick screen protectors just lift up off the curved display over time..
It sounds like wet SP installs are going good though?

I snagged the Incipio Sicrylic (sp?) off ebay. It's the soft rubber case with the two pieces. A snug rubber piece, and an outer "shell" that snaps onto the rubber case. Works really well actually. My daily case at the moment (better than the vent samsung with coin holder, and a straight skin from skinomi - i have the carbon skin)
I could post a link, but I'm a newb and so that's not allowed. I'll try to take a picture or sometghing and update this or my earlier post. Spent all this money on acc's...might as well share with folks so they don't have to repeat my mistakes....
and to the other poster who mentioned wet installs going well - i'll have to agree. vs the peel install on zagg, and the rgular install on the incipio crystal, i've ben happiest with my work and the protector after the wet install on the skinomi.

I am on my second flex hd and I am taking it off. It's been a week and the "rainbow-like" specks or clouds are appearing. It could be the adhesive that's turning into like colorful sandy appearance. Kinda annoying.
I ordered the Spectre but I am not gonna see it any sooner.
I've used dry application protectors on my other phones but its not going to work with the curved glass of GS3. Good luck.
Im using the Zagg HD, its smooth and installation went smooth.

I'm seriously considering ordering one of the Spectre screen protectors. My only concern is the it will affect what cases I can use.
