Linuxforandroid's Ubuntu Installer on Kindle Fire - Kindle Fire Android Development

I don't think this has been covered yet on this forum. I apologize if I've just missed an existing thread or am posting in the wrong sub-forum.
Anyways, I just found out about Linuxforandroid's Ubuntu Installer app in the app market and got the light 5.0 version up and running on my KF this morning. I'm running someone's CM9 beta rom (can't remember which one exactly, but will add details later)
Has anybody else played around with it yet?
My KF doesn't have a sd-ext partition any more because it got wiped out when I accidentally did a full wipe in TWRP, so I get a few errors when I launch the VNC-android session and programs don't appear to launch when I click on them, but it works and is friggin' sweet.
Search for Ubuntu Installer on Android market to find the app I'm talking about. It's a simple guide that provides links to the relevant archives on Sourceforge. I'd post a link, but am too new here to do it yet...
note: I'm not affiliated with the dev of this, but appreciate his contributions to the Android world.

[Q] How can I install themes?

Hi all - first and foremost sorry if this is the wrong section.
I've been looking at all these crazy themes and was wondering how I could exactly go about installing them. There are instructions everywhere of different methods and none of them seem to work for me because most of the instructions are incomplete. Can someone PLEASE point me to a up-to-date guide on how I can install these mods? If there isn't, is there anyone that's kind enough to post a guide in this thread? Thanks!
Here's my build information:

-Gee.
There's you problem....you need a custom rom ...wont work on stock roms
No way anyone will post a guide...everything is on the forums
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
You need to flash a custom kernel, which supports clockworkmod. Than you can flash a team via recovery. The easiest way is however to just install one of the customroms that have built in themesupport like miui or cm7.

[APP] Superuser 2.3.6.1

Hello. I'm sorry to make this new threat, but after it is resolved it can be deleted.
So the problem is with the .zip file to be flashed to install the latest version of SU. The problem is the MD5 doesn't match with the one from the file. You can verify it. It is only the one for - Eclair/Froyo. I couldn't post there since I don't have enough posts.
By the way there were people complaining that the app FC. Maybe this is the cause?!
Please if someone can verify and reupload. Thanks

Why not just install the app from the market? I did.
Well I read that there might be some corruption or it won't be able to update properly. I also saw that there is an apk in the market which claims to eliminate this problem, but I wouldn't want to risk it that way.
Thanks for you reply.
just did it today . v2362 go to settings tab look down and click on should do te tips... had also the zip file but not use it... no need as i have launch the update market. and i m running GB

Why does it seem so hard to read a single thread that explains the features? Why does this seem to allude people?
Read the change log thread!

Hi all,
So I am having the same issue here. I did read the previous post, and read the changelog and watched the video. That said, the ROM I am using is an unofficial ROM for the Samsung Tab 2.7. I suspect that therein lies the issue.
If however, I am missing something simple, any advice you can give would be much appriciated.

I have searched the internet fort an answer but couldnt find anything about it. Can someone explain tot me what it is and what it does? What does the "pss: 92M / 250M" stand for?

YT9216c rooting help? !Reward!

hey everybody i recently got my hands on an android head unit from amazon
i have atatched some pictures of the devises "specs"
im really looking for help to root the head unit.
i have seen plenty of forums taking me to a russian forum where i think i found out i can root without flashing however all of there links are not good for the downloads
i would like to root the device without flashing if possible however if i have too i will.
i have seen lots of other people posting firmwares that are pre rooted , however they all seem to have different software from mine for example mine is yt9216c_AHD_00005_V004_20200804 but the firmwares i have found are yt9218 etc.. are these safe to flash i take it this means they will have a different version of android or does it mean something else?
if anyone can help me root this device i will happily pay a reward!
