Haven't posted many reviews this month, so I thought this was a good chance to post a giveaway for you all - I'm giving away 4 SGP Ultra Optics screenshields and 4 different cases. There will be 4 winners total, each getting a case and a screen shield pack.

And I guess I should have known that by this thread's title that he was a troll, but I fell for it. Sucks seeing trolls avoid being banned on a site such as this. Wow, you really shouldn't make fun of people for grammar or spelling. English might not be their first language.
Unfortunately there are people out there that are so miserable and desperate in their own lives that they enjoy negative attention. After reading a few of his posts it would appear that his XDA posts are the most complex and meaningful conversations he has in the day. It would appear that the number of responses, good or bad, is how he measures his self worth. Hopefully he can mature and grow as a person. Hopefully he can find it much more rewarding to justify his existence with the number of people he helps, rather than the number he annoys.

Just going to lay down a few rules. pretty simple to follow an understand.
General section: talk bout stuff that doesn't belong in the other sessions.
Questions & answers: just like the name says, the place to ask questions, not development.
Accessories: post stuff or products about the phone, like cases, batteries, new sd cards. That stuff.
Development: this will be strict. Only roms/mods/kernels. system dumps, updates anything involving the upgrading the internals of the phone, shall go there. If not it will be moved but think twice though.
Theme&apps: any themes for roms or launchers go here. New apps of any kind go here also.
Please follow these rules too.
1.no flaming of any kind will be tolerated
2. Keep in mind when posting, search first, it might already be there.
3.respect other members.

Hello, I've been in this site for many years, and I just have to say that it is very great!
So many ROMs and themes, ahhh.
This place is basically the best place for all Android talk!
I love this forum so much, you don't even know!
Ever since I joined with my HTC Desire, I followed ROMs and themes,
Then I got an HTC HD2, and it was very good!!
And I also got a Samsung Galaxy Note, and it was amazing!!
ALL THE ROMS!!
And when I got an HTC One X, this place fixed all the problems,
like that pesky menu button!
I also got a Nexus 7 tablet,
And I just love love loved AOSP ROMS!!!!!! So amazinggggg ahhh!
Then I tried Nokia Lumia,
ANd even for that here was a forum!!!
I just cannot believe how amazing you all are!!
And when I got Samsung Galaxy Note 2,
Even then you give besty ROMS and themes and tweaks!!1
ROOT FOR THE WIN YOU GUYS!!
So since you are like a family to me, I decided to make a tribute video for you all,
Because I love you so much

That was me trying to be speedy; if you look closely, the number that follows the "?p" is the same on both links. I tried to link a different post but forgot that you need the post ID to be modified, not the post count. Fixed in my post above. Oops!

Can you clarify what happened?
The posts linked above talk about there isn't a need for android dev. vs original android dev., which I understand... but what is the status of Catalclysm? Is it not being worked on anymore?

Alas, Cataclysm has "died" before in the days of the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4. Atl4ntis disappeared for a year or more then and reappeared magically for the N5 and gained a large number of users. However, if he can't hack the stress, it was hardly fair to build up an even larger keen collection of users on FOUR different devices. I'm bitterly disappointed, but sadly not surprised. At least he gave his reasons on Pushbullet.
This is a sad day...... for me and the rest of Cataclysm users.

Thanks for that link. But after reading most of the discussion, I think I need a drink (it must be 5:00 somewhere). It turned into a toxic lovefest/hatefest pretty quickly.

Thanks. I think I see his point about fairness, but man, does he have to be so nasty about it? Seems like he didn't really need to insult anyone, except maybe the XDA mods that he felt were unfair to him. But perhaps he feels it's a race thing (who knows, perhaps it is).
Anyway, it's too bad they couldn't solve the problems without going ballistic. Hope it turns out to do something positive.
This is all just sad...

When I read that post of Alex Cruz and the words he is using, I think there is jealousy involved. Why moderators wanted to move a thread is not clear to me.

Yes, and there is a fact. His method 'cata-mod' is and was very original. So I am confused too, and do not understand the moderators concerned. Especially because a thread with discussions about the 'why' is also closed.
This is not a simple 'not following the rules question'. Apparently we are dispirited to talk further.
I'm very sorry for Atl4ntis and Cataclysm.
He's been a very kind guy, always keen to answer help and fix bugs,
His ROM has been the best I've ever seen so far: a lot a customization, great features, great stability. A great balance.
I hope he will eventually be back, but he will be always remembered as one of the best guys and modder here!
