I have created a basic deodexed and debloated release. It
is in my other thread, however i will provide the links here as
well. I will keep this live through the whole process due to it's
simplicity and it being completely stock internally.

These Must be installed over top of another EC09 Build. Included in the packages are

Build 0.1
ADW Launcher
init.d scripting
sysctl sctipting
Further debloating
Trailblazers everything mod package
build.prop tweeks
ICS Roboto font package
GPS lock fix
Notes: Build 0.1 is very basic. I have removed further bloat, as well as installed all of TrailBlazers mods. I have also installed basic init.d and sysctl scripts to help speed things up and manage the memory a little bit better. Along with these, i also modified the build.prop. Like i said this is still very basic. It is very fast and very stable, Great battery life and no force closes.

Oh I was just wondering on your methods.. no worries on credit. I just feel helpless since PC is packed. I'm about a week out.

Any update?

working on fixing a themeing issue.. the .9 images in the framework are causing issues..
My time is limited, so i'll hope to have more of an update some time later today/tomorrow.. i have a Cisco CCNA networking final this morning at 9 so i'll try an get working after that.

Hey pattielipp, couple questions for ya. I'm still on Miunia. Mainly because it has the accurate battery mod, and the ticker mod where the buttons are removed and only the clock shows in the ticker screen. There aren't any screenshots on the EC09 builds...does yours include these mods, and if not, is there a way right now to get them on EC09?
I would just put EC09 on my phone, but don't want to go through the headache of going back to EC07 if those mods aren't available. Thx.

i am working on some stuff now. If you run Trailblazers mods it will install everything..
I am trying to work out some kinks.
I currently have all of the mods on my current build and have Ciscogees ICS theme going on, however there are bits and pieces i do not like so i am modifying it now..
Hang in there and i will have someting up hopefully by the end of the week if not sooner.

My phone has been testing some things out. I am hoping to have at least a beta posted tonight i have the kernel recovery and system image on my phone now so i just need to upload it.
Trying to post pictures up now

Any chance you could throw this up on a media fire link?

Once i pull the image from my phone and load it up, yes i will.

Thank you! My girlfriends phone is running slower than death so I told her i'd flash it for her.

Is it running stock ec09?

Yes it is, I checked.

Links are up

I'm slightly confused, the instructions for hemidall reference a complete package to flash but you posted the individual files for the package and the actual package link that appears to be an all in one is broken. How exactly do I flash this?

Looks nice,...
Wouldn't more efficient for everyone that creating CyanogenMod 5 ports to the GSM Hero to team together instead of creating five billion versions of the same thing?
Good work,
It's something I'm trying to do at the moment. Can you share the vendor tree that you used?
I'm trying to modify darchstars CDMA one and still trying to work out how it all fits together.

Just fork Darchstar's CDMA Hero Cyanogen github.
EDIT: I've just created a GSM Hero Cyanogen fork: link.
I don't mind of working together as I won't try to fix common bugs like bluetooth during calls.
Also note that I didn't make a fork of Darchstar's repository, in fact I learned today it exists. Instead I wrote some and modified some of the files needed for the compiling process. My goal as of now is to make a separate section at Cyanogen's sources specifically for the Hero.
So if you're interested, I can upload my work to the github.
I would be interested in your files. It all helps in the learning process.
Good work again

I'm using your OS atm very nice and smooth, my mate is using the cyanogen for the nexus 1.
Few bugs I have found:
-Google voice search doesnt seem to work I just get a force close message.
-The animated wallpapers dont seem to work.
Also is their a way of linking my contacts into facebook? cant work it out.
Apart from this all seems to be working so far I'll keep you updated but good job!
Thanks for the feedback! In the next version there will be updated kernel and I hope most stuff will work. As for the live wallpapers -- I did not enable them in the quest for lighter system But I will do so as it seems that with proper kernel our heroes can handle with that
Aaaah, can't wait till tuesday, I will pick he server with the least workload and give it a whole day of compiling

Any theme for this fabulous rom ???? I love black bar notification,
Bump for the new version ;P
Verification failed while flashing:
E:Corrupt file: system/media/audio/ringtones/LoveFlute.ogg
Link is up again, hope there won't be any problems now
I get the same error now, only on another file (system/xbin/irssi)
Everything is working now. Great rom so far, linpack score is a bit dissapointing though. With overclock it's an average of 2.9.
Forgot to enable JIT, linpack scores of 4.7 now!

pls help with patched rosie

I tried to patch Rosie.apk from stock froyo rom to allow drag screens (like in modaco custom rom):
{

}
So i deodexed it, decompiled, made changes, compiled, signed, zipaligned and replaced my Rosie.apk in stock rooted froyo ROM. But then Sense didn't boot up. Where can be a problem? Maybe it don't work because i'm using deodexed Rosie.apk on odexed ROM? (as stock rom is odexed). Can pls someone with deodexed rom try this patched rosie?
Edit: I did it! Tested and working on stock rooted froyo rom (odexed), download:
i did that too but didn't work...i even tried paul's patched rosie but don't boot...i think it's cause of odexed rom and deodex system app
It's working now.

I have modded framework-res.apk too and it's working well. It's not odexed, so there was no problem with this. I decompiled it, added supercircle battery mod files, compiled, signed, zipaligned and then i flashed it via update.zip.
What was odd was that I pushed the original back on and that didn't work either (unless I named the backup wrong but I doubt that). I never signed it, but, I never used to on eclair either. Maybe I was just being stupid, I'll try again.
hey man why do you have commands for deleting the dalvic cache and cache in update-script???
i edited it and just left the command to copy rosie into system and it worked just fine
thanks anyway for the patched apk
sorry what do you mean by dragging scenes?........................sudeki300
Okay, I pull framework-res.apk, rm'd it, pushed it back. Now it won't work (keeps restarting, launcher fails). I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong. I played around like this on eclair fine.
not scenes....screens!!!!
let's say you want to make your very left screen as the default one (meddle) you pinch in regularly to bring the screen preview , press and hold on the rom you want and drag it whereever you want to be

ok calm down as the first poster said it was scenes i thought that was what we was talking about...................sudeki300

THANKS again to the creator
ranwej
no worries lambro have a good night...................sudeki300
Wipe dalvik cache is there for deodexed rosie.apk, which i tried before. As now is odexed, that command is useles and i will remove it. But it isn't doing any problems either with that command.
problems now but why delete my cache....it may affect other apps....dunno though!!!
anw good find
@ranwej
Would kindly tell me what are the changes you did to code
I want to do the same to a newer version.... appreciate it
Sorry i deleted that project since i don't have HTC phone anymore.. As i remember... you need to add 2 lines of code to one file in decompiled app .
Try to deodex and decompile my patched file and original one from proper firmware version... then compare folders with some compare program (i'm using BEYOND COMPARE - very good one) and you will see that difference...

Hello Guys!
This is my Custom ROM for the Galaxy Tab!
Its based on the european Firmware JME but i did the following changes:
- System and Framework completely deodexed
- System and Framework completely zipaligned
- Added Root and BusyBox
- LauncherPro as default Launcher
- build.prop Tweaks
- App Widget Picker
- Removed Maps and gMail (u can reinstall from market) more space on /system for the extra Apps
Thanks to this, you have now much more RAM available, and it runs pretty fast!
u can find the update in the attached files section
UPDATES:
1.1 - CAMERA FINALLY FIXED
1.0.1 - fixed missing camera app
1.0 - Release
Coming in further Releases (my plan ) when my bootloader gets unlocked:
- overclocking
- kernel optimisations
- custom theme
- EXT4
- Gingerbread???
apply the update by putting the files in the folder "updateX.X" (X.X stands for the version number and u need to create it) and then run the script via terminal emulator or adb shell (sh /sdcard/update/xxx_update.sh) xxx is replaced by version or update name
Currently known Bugs:
- camera app is missing but u can use camera apps from android market - fixed in newest release
THIS DOESN'T CONTAIN THE SIGNED BOOTLOADERS, just like Rotohammer's releases
it only contains a signed zImage but, as u know, u can revert this
Install with Heimdall or Odin, recommended from a JMx Firmware (JJx and JKx havnt been tested yet but u can try)
I'll update this rom, whenever there are bugs, stability issues and wishes from you!
|Download (Heimdall)|
Great. Downloading now. Will flash tomorrow.
Sounds great. But why add the signed zimage at all. Is there a way to load this without the zimage?
Can you install it with ODIN ?
Do you need a full wipe ?

i dont know exactly, but i think u need the newer kernel for JMx Releases! But u can try to flash only the factoryfs.rfs file inside the 7z archive, but i dont guarantee that it will work!

great. heimdall is up. i picked the zimage but for what button / option do i select for the .rfs file?
in other words, is this right?
[edit] never-mind. figured it out by following steps on here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=878686
problem now is there isnt any arabic support in this rom. may hold back on flashing it.
Sod Odin and Haimdall. Any chance of an update.zip for flashing in recovery, given that we now have a usable, stable recovery (chainfire's).

2 ways to do this:
-Add things needed by following instructions in an documentation. (I couldn't find one)
or
-adding my mods to valid KG3-APM files (I couldn't find one)
If you find a mod that has APM AND is for KG3 or an documentation, I could take a look.

Just remember that at this time you cannot smali --> baksmali framework.odex. That will make stock browser lag ( loses hw acceleration )
APM can be done by calling com/android/internal/app/ShutdownThread;->reboot from android.policy
See here

After trying to add this to my mod for a couple of hours I surrender now, I followed the guide step by step,(Well I had some problems with de/o dex-whatever-ing that android.policy file) but menu is still the same! If anyone has the time to add APM, he can.

Can't do upgrade at this time to VR 2.3 to check Does this mod work on VillainROM 2.3?
S-MOD should work on every rom that is based on STOCK KG3, but you may lose some features of that rom.
What do you mean loosing some features?...
If the ROM developer added as an example custom animations or a battery mod you may loose these things cause their files are going to be replaced by S-MOD Files which may not have these "things"

I added "acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=691200 acpuclock.force_turbo=1" to the startup.txt - you can try and see the result.

fail to get 3g to work
Stay away from this
I wouldnt install this
Dev never puts instructions, never supports his rom. Doent even put a link on here to download it.
Then when you get it installed, it doent work.
I would stay away from this. Dont support Devs that do these things
bad links
I know this is an old thread but is there any way I could get this rom on a mirror link that is working, the main link on the tread just keeps sending me to livid download manager, the same as the blogspot posts do. I don't want a new download manager I just want the rom.

For future references.
I will re-upload all the packages and try to maintain the download links, for future people like you, cause alot of these kind of sites have shutdown already

Thanks. I like my little TP but it kinda bites too. I wish there were some devs still trying to get it to nand. And I wish I had some more skills at this, I would try to keep the project alive.
