Apple Wireless Keyboard with Samsung Note Problem - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Accessories

Hey all! First post, long time xda fan.
I recently got my Samsung Note, and decided to try the apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard that i already had.
I Can get it paired just find, but I cannot get it to actually connect.
I tried it with other devices to confirm that the keyboard works, and it does.
I tried various apps and tutorials for other android devices, including the similar Galaxy Tab, and have had no luck.
When i tell the Note to connect, it says connecting, flashes a sentence of text to quick to read, and then goes back to "Paired".
Any help with this issue would be great, thanks.

It's the kernel issue...Some kernel works, some don't =)

Works fine here with Franco Kernel #7 (and 6) and also CF Root. (LB1, LA4 too).

wow! Thanks for this. Now I know how will I pair my Apple BT keyboard. I also read somewhere that the kingdroid rom can also pair easily with Apple BT KB. But I want to retain my Rocket Rom so I'm looking for other option. Again, Thanks for this

Just flash another kernel that is compatible with the keyboard. You don't have to flash another ROM to do so.

This is the closest so far. Also visit the QandA section to have your questions answered by the fine pros here
I think someone said that bluetooth doesn't work at all... or something along those lines.
I really want the wii mote working, you know... kick stand + wii mote, you are going to look so rad!
Only thing it needs more is 3d glasses.
i think i have it working. i just got bt profiles online for it. so let me check something and we should be able to use bt for wiimote

Awesome. Keep me posted bud!
I tried using the Froyo ROM with the "Wiimote Controller" app, the Bluetooth repeatedly failed to initialize. I believe it is more a problem with the ROM than anything. Maybe it would be possible to carry over a Bluetooth profile from a Nexus One and use the 2.1 firmware? Just a guess, but I honestly have no idea. I figure something like the WiFi tendering work-around.

Thanks for testing.
I really look forward to this working. The EVO / Kickstand NES/SNES emulator and the wiimote will make a killer combination.
Using Avalaunch's Deodexed ROM (Reported 100% Bluetooth functions) the same issue keeps coming up. I don't think even a vanilla ROM would fix the issue, but I could be wrong. I really wish I had the know how to fix this problem myself.

Sixaxis Controller Now Working!

I'm not a ROM developer so sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there any way to port kernels from another device? Or at least, the bluetooth stack? My friend has the Epic 4G Touch (Sprint version of our phone) and he has both MHL and a AOSP bluetooth stack on a Touchwiz ROM, which is what I want! I want to hook up my phone to my TV through HDMI for emulators, but none of the ROMS that we have so far are compatible with Sixaxis Controller or Wiimote Controller. Currently we can't have both:
Use MIUI or CyanogenMod 7 and Sixaxis works, but no MHL
Stock rom, MHL works, no Sixaxis
For what it's worth, this is the kernel he has flashed - http://androidforums.com/epic-4g-to...6ghz-oc-quadrant-4000-acs-pre-rooted-cwm.html
EDIT:
Update!
I just checked the market and it looks like the developer of the Sixaxis Controller has updated his app (yesterday in fact) so that it works with the Galaxy S II now. In celebration, here's a video of our little device playing some N64 with a Dualshock 3 - http://youtu.be/KOwQ9lqwgFQ
Subscribing to this thread for sure!
this is old news!!! its been working ever since we got cm7. i posted about this weeks ago and i already have it working with my ps 3 controller
But what the OP is saying is that with the new update to the SixAxis controller app you can use it with the stock ROM, which is the only rom that supports the MHL adapter streaming to your TV.
With CM7 you could use the Six Axis but weren't able to mirror the game you were playing on the TV.

To add to this, SixAxis controller has worked for AOSP roms (including, but not limited to CM roms) since the beginning of time. CM roms incorporated the correct BT stacks needed for SixAxis to work properly. Stock roms, for the most part, did not. I'm guessing the dev was somehow able to bypass the need for those specific BT stacks. I wonder how far the compatibility spectrum goes, now? 2.3?
i assume pairing the Sixaxis controller with BT is required?

Yea, that's not the point though. It finally works on the STOCK rom, so now you have HDMI out capabilities as well. CM7 and/or MIUI doesn't have MHL capabilities.

Yep that's correct. When you run the app, it will show your phone's bluetooth MAC address. You then plug the dualshock 3 to your computer and run a pairing app that will let you change the MAC address that the controller is paired to.

I think I read somewhere that at least Froyo is required, but don't quote me on that. I know the app works on my HD2 when it was at 2.3.2, so it goes back that far at least.

Does anyone know if this will work with beastmod 4.0?
Also anyone using an aftermarket ps3 controller or does it have to be original?
Can anyone chime in?

The app will work on all Roms that our device supports (Beastmod, Domination,CM 7,etc) but not sure if it will work with third party controllers. In theory it should though!
So I got it working, but i'm running into a problem. For n64 emulator the right analog stick it keeps triggering c-right while still working as a right analog stick. I've tried tweaking the keymapping but obviously i'm doing something wrong. Any ideas??

i have seen videos of this app working correctly on t-mobile samsung galaxy s2... mine is the white one. not that it matters... when i run it it says failed to configure bluetooth... then 2nd attempt says cant bind pipe for device... what do i do to make this work...
just emailed the developer because my friend has the same phone and it works fine on his... the only difference is the color of our devise... he has black and i have white... but the dev said that it is a known bug and he will be releasing an updated version in a couple of days... so if you have a t-mobile galaxy s2 and it is giving you these errors,.... just wait a few days because a fix is on the way as per the dev. hope this helps someone because there was nothing else on the internet about my issue.... all were reported to be working fine... and mine was not...

Umm.. always had sixaxis compatibility? Twas 1 of the reasons I got the GS2, that n my foldable BT keyboard xD..
Worked on GB wit no issues, n usin it since I first installed ICS... donno where u got ur info but its incorrect, as for MHL, can't verify, don't got the cable, can't buy here yet n never looked at importing. But to say Sixaxis don't work on stock is a load of bull, either that or my ps3 controller is magic xD which would suck, gotta get a new 1, right anolog is startin to go loose, n I donno where to buy another "magic" controller that obviously shouldn't work in the first place as per your statement.

Galaxy S3 and Torque App.

Hey guys I have been having an issue with my S3 running custom rom, Torque app and ELM327 Bluetooth
*First off, my Nexus 7 running Paranoid Android 3.15 is perfect.
I can connect to bluetooth but Torque app does not recognize the device
1) S3 running Task650 Rom doesn't work,
2) I factory reset S3 back to stock running 4.1.2 and WORKS PERFECT.(no root access)
3) Because I dislike touchwiz I decided to run PA 3.15 same as tablet but the same issue.
Is it the phone or custom rom or app?
The app does have one setting for customer rom but doesn't seem to do the trick.
Torque>setting>general preferences>force bluetooth connection type>
3 options: 1) off (default) 2)Force Encrypted Connections 3)Forced Unencrypted Connections
*force bluetooth connection type description
Leave this set to "off" unless you are running a Custom Rom(CM/AOKP/ETC) and are hacing connection problems - it is a workaround for buggy android bluetooth driver and custom rom.
I need your help please.
Contact the developer of the app and let him know of your issue. It's your best bet besides going back to touchwiz.

Sorry, I didn't have a keyboard to type with last night so I just copied/pasted the link that I thought would help.
Yeah, AOKP has never worked for me. Some AOSP ROM's work and some don't.
LiquidSmooth was working for me (and is one of my two fave ROM's) for awhile.
But I'm now having trouble getting my cheapo bluetooth ODB sensor to talk. I'm not sure if it's the ROM or the device.
But none worked without some sort of shutdown bug. Which can sometimes be worked around using options in Torque Pro.
Weird thing is, Torque non-Pro always works great.

What was your solution?
I am also looking for a car based rom but don't want to pay to get timur's
I bought into the timurs but when I tried to go back to stock - I cleared the rom and wiped the tablet to go to stock- I wiped everything and bricked the tablet. My computer didnt recognize the tablet in bootloader or twrp mode...Oh well. I am waiting for my other tablet to arrive to see if I can finally do it. As far as the question"...to timur or not to timur?" I couldn't tell you but the biggest complaint that I see while using the experimentalx is the recognition of the dac Which in my application makes the world of difference since everything is going to go through the dac - as far as audio. Another cool feature is its ability to recognize the reverse input through my camera. It switches to your backup camera app once the kernel detects power on the camera. Again, I have yet to test ANY of it out. Sorry I couldnt help anymore. it really all depends on what features you are looking for. Just as a comparision, I am gonna run the following: dac, 2 hubs, fm, back up cam, extra usb extension, flash drive for music, flash drive for video, and mic. Still trying to see if I can find a usb fan that is controllable via an app If it plugged into one of the hubs. Good luck...let me know what works for you.
Let's hope someone could share the Timur Kernel.
He said with his words that it is completely legit to share his source and kernel. He was just not willing to do it.
As the nexus is getting old. People who would like to donate has already done.
BTW, can you please share if you can get OTG & Charge to work together under elementalX without having to re-plug the mini-usb everytime?
Thanks.

I do need the gps, a lot might install it later and make a TWRP image of it later for certain occasions
very excited to see MM available on the heavily neglected $1000 tab
does it have the same multi window style that the p900 had' drag from top corners to make floating window and swipe from side for tray?
I really don't like the new multi window style on the Note 5 / newer, seems inferior

Hi, yesterday I tried your ROM and it's very nice !
Unfortunately, I enconter some bugs: GPS and Camera has you know but also bluetooth not working properly and Samsung Account not working.
Now I restored to the original one because I need the external keyboard.
Let's hopes you can clear out in the next build this bugs.
Just my feedback to help you.

Back up your previous rom and files onto an external micro sd? That's what I've done. I'm curious enough to try this on my trusty P900 and see what happens. I do hope bluetooth works for my well-used logitech keyboard. If not, it might be a short-lived experiment. But I have to encourage *anyone* who would venture out to aid this great piece of hardware with an update.
So... as soon as the download finishes.... (hopefully) I'll be back!
Installed this. **WOW**
Yes, Bluetooth works. I'm typing on my Logitech Keyboard via this rom right now.
Yes, soundcamp works a charm on this.
Yes, the touchwiz is nifty.
Yes, I rooted it with SuperSU v2.79 zip file (flashed from TWRP).
No camera? I've used mine maybe three times -- none of which led to good pictures -- since I owned this tablet. (Warning: if you open the camera app, it kinda locks up the tablet.)
No GPS? I have a phone.
Please... keep developing this! I am adopting it as my go-to rom for the present and likely for quite a while. Now... back to soundcamp! Oh, by the way... on a tablet soundcamp gives you *two* keyboards on one screen.
Thanks for making this ROM.
Can anyone post some screenshots?
I added photos in op
Gps fixed. I'm stuck with camera. I wanted to make rom without any modifications in framework. Now i'm with camera and externaldisplay. I think it's the same issue something there. If I cant solve it soon, so i will have to upload rom without camera.
Anyway I'm really happy with this rom, it's much faster and responsive than 5.0.2 stock or mm from tab s.
Installed but does not boot. Stuck on Samsung logo.
Any ideas? Thanks

Or you didnt wipe data partition.
Eager to get the GPS - working version... but hey, until then... here's a couple snaps. My desktop. And Soundcamp's two keyboards on the Pro 12's screen. Second (Samsung) desktop wallpaper. And rom info from setup.
