Htc_ime mod - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Was wondering if anybody has a ICS themed HTC_IME MOD keyboard that will work with any of the latest ICS leaks?

Don't work(((

I also tried the existing zip file (htc_ime_jonasl_hires22_27.zip) on TF101 ICS but it does not work.
Any suggestions on how to get HTC IME for ICS?
I really love the ability to long press to get symbols, digits etc.

Anyone?

i'm on Calk's fc24 rom right now and the htc keyboard works for me

You'll need to go into preferences and turn off predictions. it's a known issue with ICS.

I kind of want the prediction... it defeats the point of wanting the T9 keyboard if prediction is disabled.

[APP] Ice Cream Sandwich Dialer [Themed Contacts & Phone]

Well, I tried to come as close as possible to the ICS dialer and this is what I came up with.
Themed contacts.apk and phone.apk
I tested it on stock deodexed no-CIQ ROM, but it should work on any deodexed ROM, but make a backup first!
Flash in recovery.
thx for this ill give it a try, looks very good.

Yea unfortunately it doesn't work w/ Calk's ROM, it just removes both apps , tried both flashing it and manually pushing it via Root Explorer....
I tried pushing these with rootexplorer. After pushing, they don't show up in the app drawer and I got FC with the contact storage and messaging after that. I tried pushing my backed up phone app and contact app and they both were still missing. Only after pushing the other ICS contact apk was I able to get both my phone and contacts back. Something is wrong with both of your APKs. I'm running stock deodexed no-ciq

Looks like the ICS keyboard is ready for downloading and installing.
Just install like a normal apk. Then go to settings < language and keyboard < and check ice cream sandwich keyboard. Then long press any text field and press input method and press on ice cream sandwich keyboard.

Lol, he/she was probably overly excited about the ICS keyboard that he/she didn't care what forum he/she was getting into.
So far I'm liking it, I never used the gingerbread keyboard though. I just stuck to the froyo keyboard.
I actually really like it on my Nexus. Its the first stock keyboard I didn't immediately ditch. I think the spell correct and word prediction works really well. Still using it on that phone. Gonna check it out. Thanks

smooth, just like the GB without the force closes. thanks for this. I would like to see it themed darker like the GB kb but Im happy with it.
Loving this thus far.
Probably the best android keyboard I've used.
actually getting the same FC as the Gb keyboard. if you type to fast it seems it causes it to force close.
I wonder if this is just a themed GB kb.....

I used to get the fc with the gingerbread keyboard and I wasn't themed.
Probably some Samsung app causing the issue.
Just had my first fcs with the ics keyboard as I'm typing this.
Edit: try removing the Samsung keyboard.
"AxT9IME.apk" not having the issue after i removed it

I didnt have haptic at first either. It's because it's set to 0ms by default in the advanced settings. go in there and change it to something higher and it will work(I have mine at 35ms which is the default for thumb keyboard)
Has anyone noticed it wont capitalize i to "I" automatically? it will if it's at the start of the sentence obviously but in the middle it's leaving it lower case for me.

However, you get some force closes on Android process. Unfortunately, its sporadic so I'm not sure what I am doing thats causing it.

I can confirm that I get some forced closes and lost the scrollable (sideways) drop down menu thing (whatever you call it). Otherwise, it works alright i guess. I'd rather have a bonafide ICS theme for Unnamed, but until then this combo will have to do.

I got some f/c on it as well. Kept getting one on every reboot until I flashed aio mod. Problem after that it felt like everything kinda of slowed down a little....never happened o. Prior releases.

I'm testing the EL13 version and it's working great. Patience lol.
again, just copy the images into the ROM you want to flash using 7zip and you can flash the theme of choice on the most updated version of your ROM the moment it drops. Just takes a little dragging and dropping of images into the apk's and frameworks. I have been running ICS on Calk's newest ROM's the moment they drop.

Just a modified launcher. I included the link zip because normally flashing is easier to replace a system app, the plain apk because tw JB ROMs don't have cwm.
It's just whether you prefer to mobile odin a kernel or push the apk and set permissions and all that. TBH, I didn't test to see if you could just install the apk over the existing, but sometimes it doesn't work with system apps

Probably because there is no deodexed version of fl04. Like I said mainly for jelly verse people cuz that's who was asking for it, and that s based off deodexed fk23.
Just tried making one for fl04 and for some reason it wouldn't re-odex because adb remount isn't working.

[Q] Possible to install AOSP Messaging app on TouchWiz ROM?

Hi all,
After trying out CM10.1, I've found it to be a little too unstable at this early stage and have flashed back to Wanamlite. I can live with TouchWiz for now, but the one app on TouchWiz I really can't stand is the Messaging/SMS app.
Is it possible to flash an AOSP/vanilla version of the Android messaging app onto my phone?
Would it need to replace the TouchWiz one, or would it work side-by-side with it?
Where could I get an up to date AOSP SMS app?
Any help would be great!

Thanks mate I saw that - but seems to have a few bugs at present. Was wondering if it was possible to get the app another way.
Its possible. It replaces the tw version. There is one in themes/apps section for the sprint s3. You have to push the file to system/app. Rename it and set perm.

Works a treat. A little bit different to the steps they advised though; putting mms.apk in the system/app folder with the correct permissions wouldn't work - I could put it in there, but the application wouldn't actually load when rebooted.
I then tried installing it as an APK, but no go; Android said there was another system app installed. So I moved secmms up one level, rebooted into recovery, fixed permissions, and now it's fine.
