New Xperia S firmware 6.0.A.3.67 - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

I've just got my S from Taiwan for about 3 hrs ago
Very happy with it. Mine is white.
PCC informed me that there is a newer software version and I update it.
But after downloaded the firmware, in the installation phase, it shown a message (please check the screenshot):

Did anyone got this firmware and this message?

No problem here. I upgraded mine successfully in less than 5 minutes under Parallels Desktop (VM environment). No noticable change, but all bundled software that I uninstalled (like McAfee) appear again. I have to manually uninstall them again.

Update error

Hi All,
I've done numerous updates on my BA lately, but this last time the update hung during the radio portion. Now, the unit is stuck in it's update mode (You know... blank screen except for saying USB or SERIAL at the top, and a version number atthe bottom), and every time I try to do an update of any kind it hangs giving error number 120 which apparently indicates that I'm attempting to install an update that doesn't match the country (and I assume language) of the unit.
Anyone seen this before? Anyone know how to get around it? I've tried using every update I can find, including those that have installed properly in the past. HELP!!!
Thanks! )

AT&T Software Update Actually Worked??

I saw a post over at Tilt Mobility ( http://tiltmobility.com/omg-my-phone-almost-updated-itself/ ) about someone running the AT&T Software Update from \settings\system\ and it actually ran. His Pure (Touch Diamond 2) didn't successfully complete, but when I ran it on mine I got the notification about the update just like he did, but about 2 minutes later I got a System Notification, "Device management task completed," but nothing else, no "here's what was updated," no soft-reset request, etc. Anyone else see this in the last couple of days/know what the update was?
I got the same messages when I tried it. However, I assumed it didn't work since there was no confirmation. I downloaded both updates and applied them individually. I am guessing based on the fact that no indication of it already being applied was given and it said it was successful that the initial attempt through the normal software did not work.

[Q] Is there a new update?

Hi all. At 4:20 AM PDT (the notification sys 8:20AM for some reason) this morning (June 12) my Note 4 buzzed and woke up and let me know there was a software update available. Any idea what this is?
I didn't install the small security update last month yet, is this just that update trying to be more forceful (the notification will not go away)? Or is it a new update?
Try it, and let us know what it is !
I didn't install last month's security update myself for the fear of losing that slim chance of an unlocked bootloader and root..lol
I haven't received a notification about an update this month..would you happen to have a description of the update?
Well, the notification wasn't going away and I accidentally hit continue and it rebooted and installed whatever it was.
Took it's sweet time installing and then optimizing apps, and as far as I'm aware nothing changed. Same baseband, same kernel, same build number (LMY47X.N910AUCU2DOI3) according to About Device.
Also my phone is starting to show me the same annoying screen that started appearing when the security update came out saying to connect to wifi to download another update (whatever update was installed today, it downloaded itself via mobile, not wifi).
So I am rather confused as to what the 'update' I installed was.

How to stop OTA updates and upgrades?

I have, apparently, one of those sw3's that will not accept the MM OTA so that the watch will work after is successfully installs. I am having to reinstall the LCA43 ROM in order to get the watch to work. While I would like to have MM, I can't seem to find the right ROM to install and XC is no help in either the software repair or update. The issue is when MM is on the watch, it continually stops at the 4 dots or symbols and never goes any further. I am using Ubuntu to connect to the watch for repair.
Is there a way to stop the OTA updates while still being connected to the phone via BT? I was happy to get this watch going again, but was disappointed this morning when it tried to boot in MM without me installing it.
Edit: This may be resolved. I installed a different ROM yesterday, 5.1.1.2, and it did not automatically try to upgrade last night so I may be good to go.

Almost every app crashes every 5 seconds

Hi everyone,
Yesterday night my battery unexpectedly drained out (maybe automatic update but cant be sure).
Since then, all of my apps, especially sense home and Chrome, keep crashing ("Unforunatley, <app> has stopped" message) .
steps I've tried:
- Resetting the device
- Disabling all but the essential processes
- Running on safe mode
- Factory Reset (Twice!)
- Wiping cash
- Using RUU EXE (obviously didnt fit my device as its all US RUUs in HTC.com)
Also, after wiping the device, im getting the Software Update prompt for Sense & a patch (fixes a bug in prep for the new software version 4.28.401.3) but both fail during installation.
Even in the rare occasion where i can move on to the 4.28.401.3 installation, the device reaches 25% and then gets to the red exclamation mark (followed by a hard reboot).
Device specs & info:
HTC M9 (unbranded) bought in the middle east
Android version 6.0
Sense Ver 7.0
Software ver : 3.35.401.32
Baseband : U11440792_97
S-On, locked, didnt change anything in that area.
Please help, I have resorted to using an old iphone I had lying around in the house, it doesnt get much worse than that :crying:a
Please read the ReadMe thread and try the correct RUU for your phone. You might want to take a look at the FAQ and get some information about the dead nand issue, as well, since you might be suffering from it.
However, it's impossible that your phone offers you an update to 4.28.401.3 if you're really running 3.35.401.32, at the moment, since OTAs are incremental and you would need to update to 4.14.401.7, first.
