Digital clock WIDGET out of sync on wakeup - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Hello,
every time I go to wake up my phone in the morning I see the digital clock widget out of sync with the system clock (the one visible in the top right corner) which is correct (I leave the phone in airplane mode during the night).
I've also tried to change the digital clock widget with another one from the Market but the problem is still the same: it doesn't update the time.
The only way to update the time on the widget is to connect to the Internet.
Why the widget stops "running" when the Internet connection is missing? At least this is my impression.

It's a known issue that the stock clock widget would go out of sync upon waking-up..I've experienced that on my Mini, Ace &W..you'd need a third party widget from the market or google play that really syncs the clock accurately..you may want to try "bobclock", "beautiful widgets" or anything similar..the stock version just doesn't work..

Thanks a lot!
I will try beautiful widget!

By the way, it worked!!!
Thanks!

No I mean the stock one. The one that comes bundled with the phone, when you power on the device for the first time. It's not like that one...

But this one is my stock one
Can you make a snapshot of your widget, so we can compare them?

Yes, can you suggest me how to do? Is there a built-in screenshot function already?

I reply to this thread from my mobile (Sent from my GT-I8150 using Tapatalk 2) where I cannot see your signature. Now I reply from my PC where I can see your signature. Do you have GT-I8150, or not? If you have HTC, it doesn't make any sense that you post your question in the "Samsung Galaxy W I8150 > Galaxy W I8150 General" forum. Because your problem is not our problem. We haven't your widgets, you haven't our widgets, and I don't know if your HTC has a built-in screenshot function as our SGW.

Hey hey, be calm. I own a Desire S, yes, but I am posting in the right section because I'm talking about my father's phone, which is a Samsung Galaxy W.
Don't care of my signature.
As regard how to make screenshots: ops... It's like my Desire S
I tought it was a cooked ROM feature (Endymion)
Here we go for the SGW screenshots:
Actually you are right, I forgot the stock digital clock aspect, but I also had the same problem using the other one on the right with the black background.
Anyway the Beautiful Widgets one is great.

Ok, so next be more accurate please, because when you ask: "every time I go to wake up my phone in the morning I see the digital clock widget out of sync with the system clock" and when you have in your signature HTC Desire S, no one can guess that you actually ask about your father SGW...
But anyway, why have your father problem with the digital clock widget out of sync with the system clock and I haven't? What ROM version does he have? I have version 2.3.6 with built date 5.1.2012.

No, dark colors actually use less battery. And I think that on the s-amoled screen true black basically means that part of the screen is using no power at all.

[Q] Clock Widget - Bug - Daylight Saving Time

Mates,
I´m facing an issue with the clock widget, can you help me on that?
Here in Brazil were under the daylight saving time. There is: here we are GMT-3, however, as per the saving time, we will be for the next months GMT-2.
I´ve configured the device, automaticaly, to be GMT-2. The calender time is ok and perfect with that. Also, that "desk clock" app and my alarms are working fine. Notwithstanding, the clock that appears at the bottom of the screen (aside to the battery icon) is quite fine too.
However, the widget clock keeps showing GMT-3. There is: all my device is working fine with GMT-2 (saving time), but the clock widget do not adapt itself as GMT-3 (saving time).
Do you guys have any idea on that?
Regards!
If you haven't yet switched the daylight saving time, then the main clock will show the correct time, and will automatically change when your clocks change.
If that makes sense.
hey mate, thanks for the reply.
However it does not makes sense.
All settings are ok, but the widget just don't sync with the settings of the phone. Everything is synced with GMT-2, but the widget keeps showing GMT-3...
Same problem
Hi, hmoroni
I live in Brazil and found the same issue... HTCSupport doesn't know anything about this bug. Have you found any solution?

it makes perfect sence, maybe you should read it again..... he said, if you have daylight saving enabled on your device, the device knows you are in brazil and in daylight saving time, your timezone is GMT +3 whether or not you are in daylight saving time, your timezone dosent shift you know lol
Basically, wait till its DST.
Cheers from my DHD.

Having the same issue here. Using HTC Desire (LeeDroid Build).
=/ Seem a bug with information of Sense Widget. In summer time, Android says GMT -200 in normal days is -300.
Yeah,
Android OS shows the correct time (GMT -2 because of summer/saving time), The main problem is with HTC clock widget and HTC Clock App (in World Clock mode).

Yes. Seems a problems with Reference of Clock+Location. Because it detects our main cities with GMT -3, but is GMT -2 in Summer Timer. =/
Any suggestion? I'm thinking contact HTC for this issue... what you think?

[APP][DEV] Notification Shortcuts v0.1 (update)

Hi all,
I just wanted to show my first android app I developed. It is a bit similar as notification toggle, but I just developed it to learn java/android.
You can set 3 different settings as notification toggles (wifi, screen rotation, bluetooth), seems unnecessary for cm9/7
You can set any app as a shortcut
always-on-top accessibility service
notification panel folds when shortcut is selected
Please tell me want you think of it, i only tested it on cm10.

I have got a freeze with but perhaps, it's because I have been too fast in pushing the toggles... By cons, it will be good that the launching of applications closes the panel of notification in same time.
Nice app bro. It works well on Team NYX RC5. Tested with Wifi and Bluetooth. If you implement GPS toggle, Flashlight and Sound toggle, it will be a very good app.
Keep up the good work.

Nice work mate! I've been looking for this since I had JKay on a Samsung ROM, but I would never go back to Samsung from CM9
Is there any way to hide the blank notification icon in the status bar? I assume this is inherent to the way the shortcuts are loaded as a notification.
Also, how's it going with the auto-close drawer update?
Great
This is great. Thank you.:good:

that's finished already, but need to make some more changes, for making it more memory efficient.
But i thought nobody was really interested
it is not possible to hide it, i might change it to a logo. It is also not possible to make 2g/3g or GPS switch due to android policy (even with root). Only a shortcut is possible to the settings page
For info:
This application works on Jelly Bean for bluetooth (on/off), it works too for Wi-Fi (on/off)!
Think you can add other as standby Toggle for example?
up
updated version:
Notification panel folds after app selection
Accessibility service added for always-on-top
A slightly better layout of the notification shortcuts
the accessibility service should be enabled if you want the notification shortcuts to be always-on-top of the notification panel.
see first post for apk
Great app

When you add the widget there are many options, just go to background colour, and where it says "Alpha" set it all they way up to the right to transparent.

[APP] Standby Touch - simple app for a simple job

Warning! This has been developed and tested on Galaxy Nexus. It should work fine on One X, but have a backup, just in case something goes wrong (can't imagine what)
Today I got a little bit bored and decide to make this simple app. As the name says, it allows to put the phone in Standby (Lock) with the touch of app's icon. I know that there are many many apps that do this, but maybe in the future I could add other options to it. So far it seems to work fine, I tested it with Jellbro latest nightly and works like a charm. Maybe I am too lazy, but because my phone is on the desk most of the day, I find it not very convenient to press the Power button...

Changelog for version 1.4:
1.4
- added Tasks feature
- on some ROM versions the screen my try to turn itself on again after lock, the app will double check and try to lock it again. Please provide feedback if it still does not work.
- minor graphic tweaks
You can find it on Google Play at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alinberce.standbytouch
Feel free to give me suggestions . Also a high rating on Google Play would help. Thanks.
Nice simple little app.
A suggestion-
Could you add per day schedule?
Ie. If I wanted to turn WiFi off when I know I'm at work but not on weekend.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Thank you for trying the app. The suggestion is great and I've noted it down. I will try to implement it in the next version.
I am using the app and haven't got any "wake screen" events. So hopefully works as expected.
I was thinking of a feature:
1. set an interval in seconds, let's say 60
2. set in the app, Enable touch screen to wake
3. in you press the screen on this interval, the phone awakes.
This of course with the cost of battery life....
What do you say, is is useful or not ?
I've just released a new version in the market. Unfortunatelly it does not have new features as I've been really busy in the last few months but includes two important things:
- there is no more white screen + app's icon when pressing the app's icon, just before the screen shuts down
- I added compatibility with JB 4.2
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alinberce.standbytouch
thank you! that is what iam searching for! :good:

I noticed 2 bugs on my htc x one. Later I will provide pictures in right thread
Sent from HOX with ARHD 14.2
Hi guys,
I have released a new version of the app. I have removed the Tasks feature as it wasn't too helpful and added Sleep Mode. So basically, the Sleep Mode shows for a brief moment (the time you set in Settings) 2 icons which allows you to switch off Sound/Wi-Fi/Data.
Here is how it works:
1. Go to Settings -> Zzzzzz Mode -> Set the interval in hours when you want the icons to be displayed. Set the milliseconds to be displayed and check the toggles you want to disable
2. Next time you press the StandBy icon you will see 2 icons on the screen. The moon icon puts the phone to standby and toggles off the checked things from settings. The sun icon, simply turns them on again and closes, without going into standby.
Any feedback is gladly received.
