Important notes:
1. If you want to say "Thanks!"
There are many ways to show your support to the developer. You can:
Press the "Thanks" button.
Hit the donation button and "buy me a beer".
Share your opinion about my work and write some feedback in respective thread.
Advertise my work to your friends.
Rate my thread with 5 stars.
Every way of support is highly appreciated, but it's not expected!
2. Sharing policy
This forum is about sharing. If you want to use any part of my work, please feel free to do it but remember about some simple rules:
Inform me about using my work by sending me a message. You don’t need my permission, just inform me.
Include link to my thread from where you took particular files.
Give proper credits for what you used.
When it comes to using my ROM as a base you are free to do it only if I don't have "Stock ROMs" thread available for particular device. If such thread exists, you are
obligated to take ROMs from there instead. These threads with "Stock ROMs" are usually updated within 24 hours from the moment when I release my custom ROM.
Sharing is one thing, but please respect some areas of my work like:
ROM name - "Android Revolution HD", "Android Revolution", "Revo HD", "AR HD" etc.
Graphics used in my threads, especially head-banners designed exclusivity for me.
Other parts of my work that are not supposed to be used by others without proper permission.
Please let me keep my threads design unique. I’m sure you can do something even better yourself!
3. Support
If you have any issues or questions, please feel free to post them in the respective thread. Due to my commitments in real life I can't answer every PM, tweet or facebook post.
If you want to get the fastest and the best answer - ask the question in the thread. Every month I need to remove about 1.000 new messages from my XDA inbox. I’m sure it’s better if I spend this time cooking new ROMs.
4. Signature banners for users
Due to the increasing number of users flashing my ROMs we introduced some time ago 3 special groups of members.
Android Revolution HD Recognized User – every user might get this rank with proper banner by being active in my thread (or threads).
Helping users to solve problems, answering questions or preparing threads with add-ons for Android Revolution HD are the most common ways to gain this rank. Just be active and we’ll contact you!
Android Revolution HD Advanced User – every user might get this rank with proper banner by doing some amazing modification, application, theme etc. for Android Revolution HD.
Creating simple bootanimation might not be enough, but you never know! Having Recognized User status before is not needed!
Android Revolution HD Supporter – every user who shared some server space with us (with proper bandwidth) will get this banner. Please keep in mind we can't use DropBox shared folders.
What we can use is minimum 20 GB of space and 10 Mbit upload speed. If you want to donate some server space to us, please contact me via private message.
Apart of those special banners, every user might use one of our amazing user banners collected in this thread.
Finally, thanks for using my work! I hope you will enjoy Android Revolution HD!

Q 2: My Premium Navigation doesn't work correctly. What should I do?
A: Your Premium Navigation may not work correctly for many reasons. Most of them are not ROM related. You can try the following things:
- reinstall your Locations under "Settings" ---> "Locations"
- remove /sdcard/.data/navigator/Data/Temporary from your SD card
- re-download Google Maps from the Android Market
- clear data from Google Maps in system software management
Q 3: When recording HD video, the playback of the clip keeps freezing. How to fix it?
A: This is probably SD card problem. Format your SD card (FAT32 recommended) to gain silky smooth playback.

Q 4: After I reboot my device, mp3 ring-tone is back to default. What should I do?
A: Go to Ringtones > Menu > More Ringtones > Create new ringtone > Select the one you want (Thanks to kill4l)
Q 5: Is there any alternative for SetCPU? I think it slows downy my phone.
A: You can application called No-frills. Remember to check "Allow on boot" option.

Q 6: After flashing Android Revolution HD my SD card is being mounted as ready only. What should I do?
A: Connect your SD card to your PC and do defragmentation process. If you still have some problems with SD card, please read this.
Mac users can use the repair function of the MacOS disk utility to solve the read only problem (Thanks to Calimero1205).
Q 7: My CPU load is all the time nearly 100% and in most part it's used by system. What is the reason of that high CPU usage and how can I fix it?
A: Delete your htcsense.com account. It takes A LOT of your battery and CPU usage.

Q 8: Do I need to wipe data partition when upgrading from old version of Android Revolution HD?
A: I always recommend wiping data partition but it's absolutely necessary only if I mention that in the changelog. But normally you can live without it.
Wipe data partition if you experience any issues.
Q 9: I have some strange issues with my ROM that nobody reported before. What should I do in first place?
A: In first place you should check, if the MD5 Checksum is correct. Then flash ROM again and see if the issue is gone. A lot of strange issues can be solved this way.

Q 10: I had SetCPU installed on Android Revolution HD, then I flashed new version of AR HD and SetCPU doesn't work any more. How to fix it?
A: Please reinstall SetCPU.

A: Please check your MMS settings or mobile data connection APN settings.

Q 12: My phone got random freezes or reboots. How can I fix it?
A: Every CPU is different. It seems that your CPU doesn't like OC or UV (undervolt). Set your CPU to default 1GHz.
If it doesn't help, then you need to flash default kernel from the second post.
Q 13: When I listen to music from HTC stock player it accidentally pauses for short time and then keep playing.
A: Turn OFF fastboot in settings.

Q 14: My GPS signal is very weak or GPS is not working at all. How can I fix it?
A: There are some solutions:
1. You can download and install FasterFix to improve your signal strength.
2. You can download and install GPS Status & Toolbox to manage your GPS settings.
3. Turn off "Fast boot" under "Settings" ---> "Power" and reboot your phone.
4. Read this, this, this & this
5. [Trick] Speed Up Satelite Fix for GPS on Android
Q 15: My clock/weather widget doesn't show my location. How can I fix it?
A: Please clear data from Google Maps, Clock Widget, Weather, HTC weather sync provider and Weather Provider.

Q 16: My Quadrant score is not as high as on different ROM. What does it mean?
A: It means absolutely nothing. Benchmarks on Android System are more or less lottery and they are not showing the real system performance.
There are many settings that can force Quadrant to show more then 3000 points but it's faked performance, that actually can slow down your phone in some circumstances.
What I always emphasize is a real performance, the one you can feel under your fingers. Remember that I/O has some limit and surpassing it shows just a numbers without true ratio.
Also keep in mind that Quadrant has support for Android Gingerbread only in version 1.1.7 and higher.
Q 17: I have com.htc.bgc process force close few times a day. How can I fix it?
A: It's because you have removed HtcTwitter.apk (HTC Twitter application). Please restore it.

Q 18: My screen-lock sound and keypad sound while dialing numbers is very low. How can I fix it?
A: Download "Quick Settings" application from Android Market and check system volume slider.
Q 19: When I open up the call screen (where I see the recent calls and callers), the calls won't appear in the list. What to do?
A: Probably you are using 3rd party launcher. Remove the dialer shortcut and re-add it.

Q 20: My Wi-Fi doesn't reconnect automatically after boot. How to fix it?
A: Disable fastboot in settings or check this solution.

Mods, Add-Ons and additional Links for ARHD on HTC One X
Before I start we need to thank Jotha for all the time and effort he gave to the ARHD team before taking on his role as a moderator. It's because of him that this post exists, not because of me.
I will maintain the official Mod-, Theme, Add-on-List in this post.
If you have made something interesting for all users, inform me via PM with a link (to the OP, not a simple download link, I want to read abit before I test it/include it), not here on thread.
If you want to hint me to smth that you haven't made yourself, I will only include it if I can assure that the OP is fine with that inclusion.
If you find a dead link or if you think you should be credited for something published here, please inform me via PM, not here on thread.
I try to include only mods and animations that either the ARHD-Team or I tested or for which there are positive reviews on XDA.
Mods that are tested by the Team or me are marked with an asterisk *.
Sometimes however I may link to an untested or beta-version. I'll mark such a mod however.
Mods that are installed by flashing in recovery are marked with a F.
For all other links the installation method is described in the linked post or in description here.
Important:
Flashing some mods may partially or completely erase other mods that you have already flashed. This is because they may include the same files with different modifications and overwrite each other. In some cases you can avoid that by flashing in a different order, sometimes you cannot avoid it and you only can have one of them.
Please do not post any complaints like: This-or-that mod deleted my xyz-mod
Do not flash mods in same run as ROM. Let ROM always boot once completely after flashing before applying any mods.
Most mods cannot be deinstalled without reflashing ROM. So always make a nandroid-backup before flashing unknown mods. In case of emergency you can revert to the state before.
Every problem with some mod/Add-On should be discussed on the corresponding thread, not on ARHD-Thread. An exception are mods that are provided by mike1986 in his OP.
As there is may be more than one ROM-version on this thread at a given time, the mods and add-ons are ordered corresponding to the ROM they are made for.
Do NOT flash a mod that is not made for your ROM version. It will not work or may even render your phone unstartable.

Performance Tweaks for Android Revolution HD
Android Revolution HD EXT4 Tweaks v.0.1 * F -First HTC One X working data_writeback journalism for /system, /data and /cache partitions. This mod will turn ON data_writeback for all 3 partitions - system, data and cache. This will drastically improve I/O performance (mostly on write operations) at the expense of file system integrity in certain situations, like unexpected system shutdown. The risk is not extreme, but still bigger then regular. Use this to improve your system performance, but you flash it at your own risk!
Android Revolution HD GPU Rendering v.0.1 * F - Force GPU rendering on 2D operations. This mod is working similar to "Render GUI with GPU" option in Development Settings. Flashing this will force whole system to use GPU rendering (instead of CPU) for all kind of 2D/3D operations. This might improve 2D operations performance, but keep in mind that some apps are not working correctly with GPU rendering. After using this mod you no longer need to tick "Render GUI with GPU" in settings. Even if un-ticked it will be still working. Flash it at your own risk!

Yeah me too
Supplier date still 5th April

PS: He is collecting for 2 devices. One for him and one for me

Now I'm sure that when I get my One X, I can immediately flash ARHD
Btw, SD Card speed tweaks? Did you forget to update that? or did you actually made some tweaks to the internal memory?

Very nice =)

Awesome, now the seemingly long wait for the phone to arrive. Counting down to the 11th April for mine (estimated)
Glad Mike is supporting this device

Haha nice, rom before the actual device

the best
thanks!

Loved your roms on my DHD, I know this will continue the trend of your roms and be a great success as well

Great to see that the custom ROM from my favorite Developer is ready.
And I always like to read "improved version of stock ROM - no visual changes"
But you make it even harder to wait for the Device.
Of course I support your HTC One X found!

08/Jun r4 WIP pre-release - MoDaCo Custom ROM for GSM Hero 2.1

All credit goes to Paul over at Modaco "not me lol i just copy and paste it all lol"
I'm pleased to present a WIP (work in progress) pre-release of my next Android 2.1 based MoDaCo Custom ROM for the GSM HTC Hero! READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know.
This is a sneak preview of the base that i'll be using for the full MCR release... to give you all a chance to play, tweak, test, comment etc. etc.
About MoDaCo Custom ROMs
MoDaCo Custom ROMs are based on official ROMs - either shipping or leaked. A MCR release is designed to feel as far as possible like a stock ROM, with optimisations, tweaks and complimentary additions that enhance the user experience. The aim of a MCR is to be ultra reliable for use on an everyday device.
Requirements
In order to use this ROM on your device, you must have a custom recovery image installed. You can read more about how to install a CRI on your device in this topic.
Features Included
•Based on the Chungwa 2.1 release
•Rooted with Superuser 2.1 by ChainsDD
•Built with the latest version of MCR build process which reduces the size and boosts the speed of the ROM

•Added HTC_IME from Legend
•Added APN database to enable auto-configuration of Euro APNs
•Added Click-Drag rearrange to Rosie / Sense
•Added Voice Dialer
•Added Voice Search with optional standard android keyboard
•Updated Google Maps
•Optional dropbear (SSH server, username 'root, port 2222, password displayed in 'About' screen)
•Optional A2SD and A2SD+ (old style) via the online kitchen
•Optional baked in Wavesecure via the online kitchen (installed to system partition for maximum security)
•Optional WiFi Status indicator
•Removed Chinese content (will be available as an optional kitchen component)
•Completely de-odexed for optimal customisability
To install this ROM:
•Ensure you have a custom recovery image installed (see 'requirements' above)
•Download the zip file of your choice from the links below (or the online kitchen) and copy to your SD card
•Restart your device in recovery mode (power on with the home button pressed)
•PERFORM A NANDROID BACKUP FROM THE MENU
•Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to your memory card
Note: As this is a non-odexed build, the first boot will take a while. After you have completed your initial setup, I recommend rebooting to allow the cachedalvikcache script to free up space on /data.
Upgrading
No wipe is explicitly required in order to use this ROM, however if you do encounter issues of any kind, it is recommended that you wipe your device and reproduce the issue before raising it here.

Will we be able to to replace the kernel with an OC one in the final version, like we can on other roms?
I'm having issues such as my device hangs/freezes during use. Then after awaile it reboots. Does anyone have a similar problem?

Had a couple of force closes after installing my apps like swype ,so would advise against installing this until paul releases the new version

Installing / First Install of 1.2+ Guide:
1) Flash RecoveryMod.zip (credit to Klothius), you won't be able to install other custom ROMs than mine (unless they use the same MTD config as I do) until you revert the RecoveryMod!
2) Reboot into recovery again, format system, data & cache in the partitions menu
3) Flash the ROM
( 4) If you get a force-close after booting, flash the fix below.)
Updating the ROM guide:
1) Just flash the ROM
( 2) If you get a force-close after booting, flash the fix below.)
Why is the RecoveryMod necessary?
The ROM is using a modified Kernel commandline to change the partitioning, to be exact, it changes the sizes so you get more space on /data.
A custom recovery is needed, because a normal recovery would flash to wrong sectors in the NAND, so the flashed boot.img, which contains initialization scripts, wouldn't be able to recognize and read the system files.
Revert Recovery Guide:
1) Download ROM Manager from the Android Market
2) Flash the recovery via the first option in the app
3) Put another ROM on your SDcard
4) Reboot into recovery MANUALLY
5) Format all partitions except the SDCARD in the partitions menu
6) Flash the other ROM

good choice on kernel, when other devs switch to that kernel (such as robomix) their performance jumps to the top of the list LoL.

maxisma, thank you for including United States English. I'm tired of sense roms giving me a british accent in google nav and british news sources in google news+weather widget.

JIT patch not available in the link?
nice rom, running terrific!
only (super low priority) suggestion I have is that maybe you could consider making the lockscreen semi-transparent rather than 100% transparent? it's really confusing to anyone other than me. coworked picked it up and tried tapping things and thought it was broken, I told them to drag it down. voila, but it's a little misleading.
it's really not important though - and definitely a matter of taste.

Hi Maxisma,
Just wanted to say that this rom is really great.
Super smooth and friggin' fast ( even without OC )...
Only thing not working for me is the JIT patch but since JIT doesn't work on any 2.1 rom for me that's not an issue
*yeay flippin' flipclock is back
A question about the ROM, when you specify "- Battery percentage indicator" does that mean CyanogenMOD-like indicator or a widget or so?

First impressions: this rom is blazing fast, no over clock , supercharger or swap.
This link 509s (bandwidth limit exceeded). Can anyone upload it to, say, Mediafire? I'd really like to try this.
Edit: nevermind, link updated by OP.
I am very positively surprised by the speed of this ROM.
Rom of Sense does not require swap to normal operation.
Can anyone report the free/used RAM after installing ? Very interested in running a smooth Sense 3.5 ROM

I'm not sure of the numbers, but this thing is so smooth I can almost swear it's not Sense running here. It's just surreal - and I haven't even supercharged it yet.
Developers: thank you so much. This is the only Sense 3.5 ROM that doesn't make me want to restore ILWT right away.

So does this need ghostly sms, or swap? I really want to try a 3.5 sense rom
Amazed! Been running it for a few hours and LiveView hasn't disconnected! That's a feat no other Sense 3.0/3.5 ROM has managed to do without tweaking!
Cool rom but keyboard backlight not working for me ...
Gonna try this tomorrow morning... Seems good review about this!!

good to see a new sense rom. downloading now. DO u still need ghostly sms or is messaging fine on this? Also, the keyboard and sensitive buttons backlights are not working?
i dont have any problems with sms or keyboard and sensitive buttons backlights. Fo me its the best sense 3.5 rom.
OK, returning to post some coherent feedback.
I have 177MB RAM used and 124 free right now, monitoring via the built-in "task manager" (Settings > Applications > Running - it eats up 21MB of RAM itself). The RAM levels move around while inactive a bit, but nothing drastic. I have a few things running, so this isn't the "vanilla" RAM usage:
Volume+ (2.3 MB)
Baconreader (6.4 MB - running in the background)
JuiceDefender (4.2 MB)
imo beta (13MB - always-on)
AutomateIt (2.9 MB)
Swype (18MB - this thing is huge)
I've supercharged it with option 5 and bulletproofed Sense, and it runs butter smooth - almost no freaking lag. Note that I haven't done any other tweaks but supercharging it - no swap, no tweaking OC settings, no tweaking Sense...
(If it makes any difference, I have 5 home screens, 3 widgets and 37 icons.)
So yeah, it's pretty awesome. Developers, thank you a million times. Bye, ILWT.
Oh, and...

It does work, but the light sensor levels are tweaked so that it only lights up when it's really dark. Unlike ILWT, which either turned the screen too dark or flickered like crazy, this ROM actually has sane light sensor settings.

I just fired two SMSes to my phone, one while idle and one while running AnTuTu. Both were received properly. Is that a good enough test case?
And as said above, this doesn't seem to need swap.
I'm curious how you managed to implement full hardware rendering for the GPU. If this is indeed true GPU rendering, I'm curious if you have any plans to tackle ICS. I'm sure that your expertise in figuring out how to make that happen on an older Gingerbread based rom would be invaluable to the community at large since that seems to be one of the major hangups right now in both Andramadeaus and Virtuous Quattro.
Any insight you can give into your implementation of hardware rendering would be great. I can't guarantee that I'll understand a word of it, but I am very curious.

I humbly present to you the final chapter of the WildChild ROM trilogy.
WildChild 3 is here, and it's pretty cool, if I may say so myself.
Why is it cool?
Well, first of all, it's based on the native Sense 2.1 GUI and runs on Android "Gingerbread" 2.3.5. That means all the features of your phone are actually gonna work under this ROM (e.g. camera, proximity sensor, WiFi, etc.). I don't mean to slag CM7/CM9/ICS/JB, but when it comes to ROMs, I want one that fully exploits my phone, thank you very much.
That being said, this is very much a Sense-less ROM, so don't bother asking if your HTC Clock or <insert favourite Sense widget here> will work with WildChild 3. Chances are, it won't. Sense is stripped out in favour of speed and customization. I hope you find the trade-off as agreeable as I do. In typical WildChild fashion, this ROM is themed right down to the APK level and looks quite nice in both a black cocktail dress as well as ripped blue jeans. It blazes through benchmark tests; and is extremely stable - making WildChild 3 the perfect ROM for you and your loved ones. No animals were harmed (too badly) in the making of WildChild 3.
WildChild is dedicated to my two WildChilds: Joshua and Matteo.
HTC Sense 2.1-based, with the Sense launcher+widgets removed.
OS = Android "Gingerbread" 2.3.5.
Based on latest European RUU - 2.26.401.3.
Rooted, in case your mother asks.
Latest BusyBox (v1.19.4)
All APKs are ZipAligned. Your RAM says, "Thank you".
Einstein Frat's "Dust v9.0" overclocked kernel.
(Please see the note about overclocked kernels in my FAQ Post #3, below.)
Adreno200 libs integrated.
Lots of build.prop tweaks for speed and battery optimization.
Removed A2SD (ROM is solely Link2SD now).
Running the latest Nemus launcher (themed by me). This launcher has a task manager; the ability to organize your apps into folders; lock the layout of your home-screen icons; use any combination of [3|4|5] x [3|4|5] app drawer grid; and other wacky crap.)
Some stock HTC APKs replaced with newer/more-efficient/prettier versions.
Older, faster, Google Market (though you can easily flash the newer version).
Old SMS text messaging (See above. Your precious screen space isn't wasted by those annoying text bubbles!).
aCalendar replaces the stock HTC calendar. (supports repeating entries)
All installed APK's are at the latest version (at the time this post was published).
Wake the phone (from sleep mode) by using the volume rocker switch.
WildChild 3.0 is fully modular and highly configurable. Just check the Add-On's section (Post #2, below) regularly.
Stock keyboard & browser replaced (with TouchPal swype and Dolphin Mini, respectively).
Rock Solid. Lots of stability improvements were made from WC2 to WC3. Hopefully, you will encounter NO force-closes and NO reboots when installing apps. I mean, you shouldn't have encountered those at all with WC2, but now even Chuck Norris can't break WC3.
Features unique to WildChild:
Beautifully and painstakingly themed, down to the app-level (hope ya like blue!)
Modified SMS notification icon for task bar (the stock looked too much like the Email icon... not anymore!)
Funky volume up/down indicator sounds.
Font tweaks (the lockscreen clock is actually READABLE now).
Almost 1MB of notification sounds (one can never have enough!)
Better boot-up and boot-down animations than WildChild 2 (according to my wife, and she says she's never wrong... about anything.)
Unique lockscreen created by Tigger31337: a ring of (Wild)fire against the setting moon.
Well, I think this is unique to WildChild 3, 'cuz the actual read_ahead_kb buffer size is actually hard-coded to a value other than 128kB! (I haven't seen this done properly on ANY other ROM so far.) Lots of folks say to set it to 1 or 2 MB. I found 512kB worked nicely for our phone (and poorly at 1MB), but I'm all ears if you want this changed.
Tested (and works flawlessly!) on Wildfire S GSM (Marvel a510e). Might work on CDMA; might not. Who the hell knows.
Just like his lazy, out-of-work brother, WildChild 2, WildChild 3 comes in 2 flavours: Odex and DeOdex.
I used to make a LITE and FULL version of WC2, but I'm not sure if I can deal with people asking me why Google accounts aren't synching with their LITE versions anymore, so I think I'll eliminate that hassle (or at least postpone it sufficiently).
For now, I'll stick with two flavours: Odex vs. DeOdex.
XDA Forums does a fantastic job of explaining the difference, so I won't do that here.
If in doubt (or extremely lazy and want to avoid reading) go for the Odex and enjoy the extra storage space.
WC3 DeOdex ROM = 41.11 MB /data space available (easily more, once you start deleting apps) and 92 MB free on /system.
WC3 Odex ROM = 88.11 MB /data space available and 67 MB free on /system.
WildChild 3 comes with the following applications already built-in:
aCalendar
Adobe Flash Player v11
CalendarSnooze
CPUSpy
Dolphin Mini Browser
DoodleDroid
Flashlight
GPSStatus
Link2SD
Nemus Launcher
NoFrills CPU
Notepad
ROM Toolbox Lite
Root Browser
Scan (QR/Barcode)
ScreenFilter
Startup Manager
SuperSU
Terminal Emulator
Titanium Backup Root
TouchPal keyboard
WiFi Analyzer (and libs)

PRE-INSTALLATION TASKS:
Before flashing WildChild 3.0, BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP.
There. I've said it three times, now. Any data you lose is, therefore, your own problem.
That being said, I've exhaustively tested the install of WildChild 3 under various test scenarios over the course of weeks -- haven't had a single glitch yet. You're in good hands.
Once you've got your stuff backed up, here's a tip to make your life easier. Assuming you are currently running a previous version of WildChild, hop into your Nemus launcher and take a BACKUP of your Homescreen setup. (Launcher Settings --> Other --> Backup & Restore). If you do this, you can then RESTORE your launcher settings after flashing WC3 and save time that could be better spent surfing for pornography.
INSTALLATION TASKS:
(You really should know these steps by now, but for tradition's sake...)
Prepare and partition your SDCard. (Folks seem to enjoy a FAT32; a 1 or 2 GB ext4 (I use ext2); and a 512MB Linux Swap... in that order. And all partitions are Primary).
Copy the WildChild ROM .zip file to your SDCard.
Reboot into Recovery mode.
Wipe data/factory reset. (Do this twice, especially if on CWM)
Wipe Dalvik cache. (Twice, as above)
"Install zip from SDCard".
(You might have to toggle Signature Verification until it is Disabled)
Read the ROM's splash screen and wait about 1 minute while it pollutes your phone.
Reboot phone; wait another 2-3 mins while WC3 does its thang.
When the lockscreen FiRE RiNG appears, yank it (uhmm, the ring, that is) and start using your phone!
Enjoy! ...and throw a "Thanks" my way! ...a donation of buck or two for the WildChild Fund wouldn't hurt, either. (Please note: There is no such thing as the WildChild Fund. I will probably spend the cash on beer.)
So, you've bought into all the hype and finally threw WildChild 3 on your phone. Now what?
Well, for starters...
If you took a Nemus backup prior to flashing WC 3.0, then now's a good time to restore it. It'll save you from recreating all your folders, shortcuts, and launcher preferences again.
Launch SuperSU and update the binary (one-time task)
Pick 'n Choose your apps! If there's something on this phone you don't like, it's easy to remove it. For USER apps, simply remove the app using your launcher. For SYSTEM apps, you can remove them using the built-in Link2SD app. If you're feeling especially adventurous, you may even try converting USER apps to SYSTEM apps (and vice versa), also by using Link2SD.
Play with the Startup Manager. ROMs are not customized to YOUR personal usage habits, and WildChild is no exception. So spend a couple of minutes in the Startup Manager app and disable things you don't need from starting up automatically. (e.g. For me, it's ROM Toolbox, Titanium Backup, Market, Maps, and FM Radio.) This does not mean that you are deleting or disabling these apps... it just means you're preventing their receiver from launching automatically after bootup. In essence, you'll save RAM by disabling 'em.
Move your apps with Link2SD! For the uninitiated, I highly recommend creating an extra partition on your SD card (say 1 or 2 GB) and then LINKING your large (or rarely used) apps over to the SD card. There are plenty of good articles written about this on XDA forums, so do yourself a favour and start using Link2SD regularly. (Although, I do not recommend using their "Auto Link" function, as this eats up about 10 MB RAM.)
Some tweaks to help with performance/battery-life:
OS Settings: Sounds: disable vibration feedback.
OS Settings: Display: Disable Auto-rotate and then Disable All Animations (I disabled the CRT animation for WC3, anyway)
OS Settings: Connect to PC: Disable "Ask me"
OS Settings: Power: Disable Power Saver and Disable Fast Boot
OS Settings: Language & Keyboard: (TouchPal) Disable Vibration on Type
OS Settings: About Phone: Software Updates: Disable the Scheduled Check
CPU Settings: Max = 768Mhz, Min = 122Mhz. Gov = Scary. You know I'm a fan of Scary. Nobody else even mentioned this governor for WFS until WildChild 2.0. Scary gives you a decent balance between performance and battery life (with priority on the latter). Set the scheduler to sio and you can't go wrong.
Launcher Settings: Tweak these as you see fit. Most changes here are cosmetic, but some are performance-related. Take the time go go through each setting; you'll get more out of your phone.
p.s. You should know, Nemus laucher has a left/right-swipeable dock (the bottom "bar" where app shortcuts are held). That same dock is also up/down swipeable (for Lock settings). Just sayin'.

The Add-Ons got too big to share Post #1.
You can find them, sitting all smugly, in Post #2, below.
Also, be sure to check out the News & FAQ, regularly, over at Post #3.
Too much pressure to get this ROM uploaded... so screenshots have been neglected for now.
Check back soon. All I can offer is that, "it's pretty fuqn similar to WildChild 2.0, except a lot sexier". Enjoy.
[UPDATE]
KelvinWild has graciously supplied some in Post #19.
Thank you, sir.
The WildChild series of ROMs is known around the galaxy for being very modular. Basically, I try to make it easy for you to rip sh1t out and put stuff in. What kind of stuff? I dunno... mostly it's the stuff you guys request, and sometimes it's stuff I think would be neat.
Each of these Add-Ons comes in a flashable zip format. You pick one from the list below, throw it on your SD card, and then install it the way you would a custom ROM (i.e. choose the "install zip from SD card" option, if you were using CWM). Once it's done, you reboot. Typically, you don't install Add-Ons back-to-back (unless specified otherwise). You should reboot in between each Add-On you flash.
Check here often; latest Add-Ons are placed at the bottom of the list.
###### AVAILABLE ADD-ONS FOR WILDCHILD 3: ######
stock HTC keyboard
stock browser, WildChild themed
Link2SD v2.1.2. This is straight from the Market and is a critical flash to keep on your SD card. In case your current Link2SD config goes belly-up, you can always re-install and re-link your apps (hopefully) using this.
stock Lockscreen
stock Google Market (aka Play Store)
stock Calendar
stock ("bubble-style") MMS text-messaging
stock Gmail
Rosie (Sense) Launcher - WildChild themed. Install this to customize your lockscreen shortcuts.
Rosie scrape. Remove the Sense Launcher (above) and revert to Nemus.
KERNELS:
I take no credit for these kernels, but they are all fantastic (in my opinion) and created by the same author: Einstein Frat.
Give 'em a whirl and see where you end up.
In chronological order of kernel build date, they are:
Dust 8.8
Dust 8.9 (default kern. for WildChild 1.1)
Dust 9 (default kern. for WildChild 3.3)
Cake 0.9 (default kern. for WildChild 1.5)
Cake 1.4 (default kern. for WildChild 2.0)
DCPLX1 v1.1 (default kern. for WildChild 3.0)
The following stock kernel is provided by baluuu (Post #68). It runs at a max. of 600 Mhz, uses only userspace/ondemand/performance governors, and noop/deadline/cfq schedulers.
For anyone still experiencing installation issues with overclocked ROMs, this is the kernel for you. Flash your ROM and then flash this kernel immediately afterwards (no reboot after flashing ROM, but reboot after flashing stock kernel.)
stock HTC kernel (April 17, 2011) 600 Mhz Max.
###### ADD-ONS FROM PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF WILDCHILD ######
(Confirmed working on WildChild v3)
BeRo File Manager. (All WildChild ROMs come with a file manager built-in, but some lesser ROMs do not. Keep this handy on your SD card and you can always flash it into your crappy ROM to access your files/apps on SD.)

FAQ and NEWS

####################################
[Aug 24] Critical Updates.
Nemus Launcher has an update which fixes a "badge crash" on the version I supplied with WildChild 3 (which was the latest and greatest at the time of release).
Also, SuperSU has an update as well.
Please apply BOTH the SuperSU and Nemus updates as they are critical and may address any issues you're having with the ROM. I'll try to roll both of them up into a flashable zip. Check Post #2.
[Aug 21] WildChild 3.3 uploaded. This version supersedes all previous versions. If you come to me for support or with questions/comments/requests, I will assume it is in regards to this version.
WC 3.3 addresses the (unfortunate) owners of WFS hardware with "gimpy" CPU chips. WC33 runs the Dust 9.0 kernel at values that are "gentler" on your weak CPU. Those who have problems with overclocked ROMs in general (mine being no exception) should have better luck with this setup. If you're still struggling, even after WC 3.3, then please check the Add-Ons Section for a flashable stock kernel that defaults to 245 Mhz.
[Aug 21] Author Request. Is there anyone here who's good at graphic arts (i.e. not me) that can whip together a really quick icon/logo thingy for WildChild 3? The one in my signature (WC2) is looking a little stale. Hopefully it's something that incorporates some graphic element of the WC3 ROM (i.e. the fire ring, wallpaper colours, etc.)
I'd be forever in your debt, and you'd get all kinds of mad props and recognition from me over in Post #1. Thanks, in advance!
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. "Will my <insert Sense app/widget here> work with your ROM?"
A. Probably not. Please read the original Post #1 and you'll see that Sense has been purposefully stripped from this ROM. You're free to put it back, although I suspect that if it's a Sense ROM you're after, you'd probably enjoy my WildChild Sense ROM better. Ask for it, by name, at finer retailers near you. (Or click here.)
Q. "Weird sh1t is happening with my phone. It locks/freezes/recites bad Vogon poetry at 3:00am. What's wrong?!"
A. I'm going to give my standard answers to 99% of the problems I receive. Here they are, in no particular order:
1) Please confirm you are using a GSM (a510e) phone. CDMA is cool, but not officially supported by this ROM.
2) Please confirm you aren't trying to boot straight into an 820 Mhz + performance governor scenario, and then complaining of all kinds of reboots and force closes (especially if this happened to you with other ROMs in the past). If this is your problem, chances are you are the proud owner of a "gimpy CPU" Wildfire. Find a better, slower kernel (see my Add-Ons Post #2) and then scale upwards from there.
I love getting email and reply to it all. (Yes, all... eventually). If you promise me that you've ruled out #1 and #2, above, then I promise you help to the best of my ability.
love you bro.. ...am waiting

Well screw this ****, Im downloading it.
I was always a ICS fan but I will give it a go.
Hello , I`m excited about this new ROM of yours, this will be the first tima I`m using WC at all. Just wanderring where is the ODEX download link . Thanks in advance for the job you`ve done. If i had a debit card I`d buy you a beer
Geting stuck on splash screen did you test it ? From my previous experience with DcplX kernel doesnt realy agree with the newes RUU. Dust seems much more stable overall. Or maybe just freq too high for my poor wfs whats the default clock ?
Edit: Nvm just flashed dust So far so smooth.
Stuck on HTC screen :'(
Update: Well after 2-3 trys it booted up. First boot got stuck at htc screen for about 3-4 minutes.
Me too, wiped data 3 times, wiped dalcik 2 times.
Installed. It doesnt stop rebooting
Well I got a question.
I need friendstream. I pulled out apk from disciple 1's 1.1 ROM and pushed it. Its opening but it says no account logged in. I can't find add account setting for friendstream in Accounts and sync. Am i missing any apk? Please let me know ASAP.
Well, that's too bad some of you are unable to run the DCPL kernel. It's really quite stable (and has the Conservative governor, which I'm actually growing quite fond of).
For the sake of compatibility, I have removed WC3.0 and will re-pack it with the Cake v0.9 kernel (I'll offer the DCPL kernel as an Add-On, for those folks whose hardware can actually support it!)
Please check Post #1 again for the WC 3.1 download link.

Thank you sir.. right now i'm downloading deodex version... I don't know but the previously version, sometimes makes my ws shut off itself and forces me to take off the battery and put it again to make it back to normal.... Hope it will never happen again with this rom. Thank you Tiger!
EDIT: Wifi is not working... or "Wifi Error"
Anyways I solved that friendstream problem.
BTW Trigger, how do I change lockscreen shortcuts? Whenever I open personalise menu it just goes to home screen, As far i know we need original sense launcher to change it right?
So if i flash original rosie from WC2 will it work?
Help me please.

Wifis not working for me
mod: now I restarted (got scared with that shotdown logo xD ), and the phone frozed at the red/white ring animation
mod2: now it booted, could be the problem that no frills cpu max was 787, my phone frozes above 768.
..wifi still not working, cant even switch on, it says: problem

[ROM] Mi-Roid {PORT} MiuiAndroid v2.11.30 w/ Control Panel

I proudly present to you...... Mi-Roid
Mi-Roid is my port of the crespo MIUIAndroid weekly build with many additions, tweaks and mods added together for a great user experience. If there’s something you'd like added in feel free to post or pm me
For those of you wondering what Miui is.... that is a hard thing to describe but in a genreality it is a complete rebuild of android based on AOSP from the ground up. It has a build in theme manager that makes Cyanogen's look like childs play, you can change almost any little thing instead of applying an entire theme or you can apply an entire theme. It has build in virus scanning, autostart app control, flashlight app and all the goodies of cyanogen or other AOSP roms but in a whole new fashion. It is sort of IPhoneish but still feels like android not some apple product. If you dislike the launcher feel free to download any of your standard favourite launchers and use them, it'll free up some memory too.
Check out this video showing what Miui is
A few of my favorite features are listed below:
**While on the lockscreen if you press and hold home the flashlight will turn on for 30sec
**While on the homescren if you long press home the memory manager comes up to clear/free up memory
I plan on updating by Sunday night or Monday morning following the friday release of each weeks build. This will give me a few days to make sure the basics are working and to try and add features as i work a lot during the week and weekend gotta survive this cruel world somehow
If you have issues or questions please post them up here as someone may be able to help you on the forum before i check my PM's or get online to read/post.
Please Read the rest of this post and the ones below it for all info regarding issues and install before asking a question, i know it's pointless to ask this but maybe it'll save me one headache and at least one noob a thrasing from the senior members.

Previous Builds - will be posted soon
Install and Setup Directions Below in 2nd Post
Common Issues, Solutions and FAQ in 3rd Post
I advise doing a complete wipe for each build and not "dirty" flashing each weeks new build as this could cause issues.
If you are already running Miui you can also use the included backup tool to backup your apps and data, beware that this app does not backup paid for apps, so for example it will backup Titanium Backup but not the Pro Key so you'll have to download some apps via the market again
**Install Instructions***
1) Use Titanium Backup to backup your apps and data
2) Download the latest Mi-Roid version and place at the "Root" of your SD Card
3) Boot into Clockwork or whatever recovery you use and make a backup
4) Do a complete wipe, this would be your dalvik cache, cache, data, system, & boot.
5) Select the Install zip from SD option
6) Select the latest Mi-Roid version you just downloaded
6a) ***Optional*** Install Kernel Of Choice
7) Once install is completed reboot the system and let it boot up
8) After the system has booted up you can reboot into Clockwork and restore your data
***** BEWARE THERE IS A 30 SECOND TO 1 MINUTE LONG BLACK SCREEN BEFORE THE MIUI.US BOOT IMAGE COMES ON. THIS IS NORMAL, JUST WAIT A MINUTE AND YOU'RE BOOT UP WILL START****
***Things to do Upon 1st boot***
-Open MiuiStats from the pulldown and save the preferance to enable reporting, this lets Miui know we're using their ROM and to keep making it for us
-Open the Download Manager and go into the Settings and set the warning limit to 50mb and then turn off the Data download prompt to stop the market not letting you download huge apps. it will only give you a warning to use wifi on files over 50MB, but if uncheck the download on wifi only button and click proceed it'll download even those.
-Open the Play Store and sign into your Google Account
-While everything is Syncing open up Settings and select your google account. Select the option "Location &Settings" and turn it on. This will allow Google Maps and all other Google Services to use GPS for location locks, if you don't do this then GPS will work for all other apps but Google ones
-Open the Permission Manager, this is Superuser for Miui, and click on Manager root apps and turn it on or else your apps won't get superuser permissions. there is a series of 4 or 5 questions it asks before you click accept to root access on apps, so beware.
-Download the following apps
- Voodoo Sound
- Script Manager - this is for supercharging
-Open the Camera as the 1st start up takes a few seconds to a minute to initialize and sometimes it will fc and you'll need to open it again and wait
-Reboot into Clockwork, fix permissions, and Enjoy MI-Roid
****Optional**** Open Script Manager and supercharge your phone - see the FAQ for some important info on supercharging do's and don'ts
-Reboot and Enjoy MI-Roid
I'll post more as i think about it and get to the FAQS section below later tonight and i have screen shots too, just very tired from porting the toolbox and work this weekend
*****FAQS******
Q) What Kernel Is Included with this Rom?
A) Matrix CFS v24
Q) Do I need to flash gapps over this?
A) Nope, the google account framework is included as well as the latest PlayStore.apk, just download whatever apps you want from the Play Store. However here is a link the latest GAPPS working on Miui
Q) When I Send A Text Over 160 characters the reciepient gets a garbled message
A) This won't happen anymore because i modified the app to convert a sms to an MMS as soon as you hit the 160 character limit
Q) How Do I Supercharge My Phone
A) Go here to and download the latest version from zeppelinrox's thread, be sure to thank him too. Once you have downloaded the latest v6 script place it at the "Root" of your SD card. Open up script manager, be sure to give it root access. Select the v6 supercharger scipt and mark the little su icon to run it as su. Click on run, and follow the on screen instructions.
*****This is very important, when setting up your drivers options, do not, i repeat DO NOT select to apply the "Miscellaneous Tweaks & 3G Enhancements", a better version of these are in my init.d scripts!!!!! You also don't need to apply the wheel alignment either as that is another script already provided****
Q) I see lots of apps running when i first start my phone and don't want some of them running
A) Go into the Security Center folder and open the App Manager app, you can use it to select what apps and their services start and run in the background at boot
Q) The stock lockscreen is laggy
A) Yes it is, this is widely known in the Miui community, but it has a plethora of options built into it. If you want a faster one download any v4 theme and go into the theme manager under the mix section and apply it. The same goes for just about any thing or apperance you don't like about stock Miui, you can apply whole themes or just select parts
Nice work. gonna have to try this

Do you need Miui gapps from the site or any gapps will do?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
you don't need gapps, the google framework for google accounts and playstore are included, any other gapps can be downloaded from the market. do not flash gapps from CM or other AOSP roms as you'll get a few apps that shouldn't be there
if for some reason someone needs a certain gapp let me know, but this is the NS4G a CDMA phone only available in the US so we shouldn't have any restrictions on apps
Great work. Thanks for the port.. I've been waiting to try out a JB build of MIUI. You just made my weekend.

No problem, the JB version of Miui is quite nice. if you are going to flash a custom kernel i had the least amount of issues with Mathkids Matrix v23, it has voodoo sound and blinking BLN built in. I just updated my FAQ post but i have had severe issues with several of the other kernels in terms of bluetooth and battery drain so beware
Wow.. finally someone port jb miui for nexus s 4G, thank you

Awesome... I love MIUI...
Can anyone post some screenshots?
Not bad! Going to give a run through.. Seems fine so far.
Screenshots attached as requested. This is right after first boot.
This looks AWESOME! I went back to stock jellybean, but I'm going to root and install this later! How does battery life seem so far? Yeah, yeah, I know, give it a couple of days for the kernel to settle, but still... xD
Can anyone trying this confirm if 4g works?

haven't used miui in awhile does it still show high usage when u kill apps going to try when i get home wat kernel is everybody using thanks
sick. thanks for the confirmation.. on rasbean now but may have to give this a go....i miss miui and the ics version was crap, but the gb version didnt have 4g.
It's a little "heavy" feeling but MIUI isn't exactly a lightweight ROM so I expected that.. I had tried the ICS version and it was unbearable slow.. So far this is pretty damn good all things considering (feature filled custom JB ROM on 2 year old phone)
Nice ROM at lease jellybean miui is fast & smooth when compared to miui ICS which was way to laggy but miui is not my cup of tea I'm rocking Rasbean
