[Q] Wanting to go back to T-Mobile stock rom. - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I have a DHD, unlocked and rooted with AAHK and I want to go back to the T-Mo branded GB rom.
Do I just use an RUU? And if so, can someone link me to the Froyo/GB T-Mobile RUU?
Thanks!

The only TMO-UK RUU I could find is the last in this list.
Hope it helps!

[Q] RUU Update to 2.3.3

I updated to RUU 2.3.3 on my DINC2 and I have a couple of questions. Will I still be able to get 2.3.3 when Verizon releases it for my phone. I know it's going out now, but I haven't been able to pull it. Is it possible to go back to stock Froyo? Thanks for your help.
Once you are on the leaked or official version of GB from Verizon, you cannot go back to Froyo. The only potential way would be when root is obtained, and who knows when that might be.
But, being that I updated using RUU, will I be able to get the update from Verizon?

Which RUU did you use? If you used the leaked one, no. But there's an RUU out for the OTA version as well.
I used the non-rooted version from ....droid-life.com/2011/06/27/full-gingerbread-ruu-for-the-droid-incredible-2-leaks-rooted-versions-too/ (I couldn't post the full link b\c I'm new). If this is not the RUU for the OTA version, can you send me the link?

Can I flash stock Froyo RUU onto Vodafone Desire?

Desire is currently rooted and S-OFF'ed. Is it possible to "debrand" this way? Also this means I'll get the GB update (as I'm pretty sure VF won't release an update)
Thanks for any potential advice guys

Yes, you can. But you need goldcard to avoid cid error and furthermore, you will loose root access and s-off. So imho it is easier, to flash one of the many custom sense roms with gingerbread you can find here. On this way you won't loose root access and s-off status, but you will have a gingerbread sense rom (which is what you want I guess).
or is there a easy way to unroot? I rooted via unrevoked......

There is no easier way to unroot as flashing a ruu, imho.
Swyped from Oxygen with Transparent XDA App
Ok so I guess if I flash the Voda RUU, the phone will have to do a few updates...... as the RUU is pretty old 2.1 I do believe...
if you instal the Vodafon RUU you will be branded again. And what is the point of unrooting? You can always find a rooted stock Rom, I am sure one will come out as soon as Gingerbread will be released.
And another problem would be if they release the update by IMEI and then if you are not at the original state of your phone you will not get the update even if not rooted.
True, best wait for a stock rooted ROM from here then and flash that via ROM manager

Please do not use rom manager, it is a horrible software which causes many heavy system problems here. Just do it directly from recovery.

returning back to stock rom

hi, i just downloaded RUU_Ace_Sense30_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.13.707.4_R_Radio_12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_234022_signed with no root.
Question is :
0. How to install the RUU? any link to provide for teaching install the RUU?
1. After install the RUU, the phone will be not rooted or rooted?
2. How to do a S-OFF to S-ON ?
Thanks to you all.

Would you know if it's okay to flash the ATT RUU onto a device purchased in Taiwan? I'm guessing it's all the same hardware?
Also I guess I have to change the CID of the device for the RUU to allow the flash. Would you know what the CID of the ATT version is?
Thanks again!

Oh no I am sorry I forgot to upload the nandroid for you! I will have that up for you in about a hour os or, and as far as I know with S-On you can not flash a different RUU but I would assume that if we had S-Off that you could use atts RUU. We would also need S-Off to change the cid but atts is CWS__001
EDIT: its up again!

Can anyone help me return to stock?

Hello, I originally got my M9 from O2, and rooted, flashed a 401.15 custom rom on it.
I need to return to a stock version, I guess it will need to be .401 based as I dont have S-off. Where can I get a stock RUU and will it brick my device?
Can anyone help me?
Cheers
