HTC One X - AMAZING phone - HTC One X

Was lucky enough to have a go with a One X at an HTC event on Friday and it's just as good as you'd expect it.
It's super light, screen is amazing and clear (perhaps not as bright as the AMOLED on the One S, mind). Sense 4 runs with NO issues at all, and the new camera features are spot on.
If you're due an upgrade then definitely see if you can have a go with one before hand - you won't be disappointed!

can you tell us how it felt in hand, did you miss the metal construction?

Congratulations! How about battery life and video quality?

Felt nice and smooth, light as hell (think Samsung lightness). Didn't miss the metal at all, the polycarbonate was lush
Think the One S was lighter though, but then again it is smaller
Battery life, can't comment as I don't have one and the demo unit wasn't running on a mobile network (no SIM card in it) but seemed to handle most things without any issues. Video seemed OK, wasn't something I particularly looked at, but it's nice to be able to take stills whilst still recording the video

How did it compare to the two phones in your signature? Did it convince you to purchase one?
Was the product still a beta / pre-production model or was it now the final release version?
Did you see a white and grey version of the one X any opinion on the looks? How about how it felt in hand with the matt back and the gloss sides?
7 days and counting...

Thanks for the infos!
Did you felt any overheating after using it?

your comments remind me of the Sensation XL
on paper its not so convincing but everyone who lays his hands on it falls in love

1. Heat up? Hell no!
2. Final release - non-beta units
3. White only
4. I only had my Sensation with me when I went but I'd buy the One S or the One X as a replacement. As a replacement to my Nexus, I'd get either as well. The One S is awesome, the AMOLED screen pops as you'd expect and it's SUPER light weight but I'd have to go for the One X
Seriously considering getting a One X

excellent, can't wait for this Titan!

OMG cant wait!!
Did you take any pictures? how was picture quality?

Didn't take any pictures of the units, no - didn't see the point as there are loads online already - but picture quality on the phone seems to be good. I don't use my phone for pictures so wasn't something I was particularly bothered about looking at

Eddy, what was the screen like in daylight/sunlight?
This old Desire is ready for an upgrade

Dunno, it was indoors on Friday evening (8pm) so no day light to speak of!

You had enough time on it to know the battery life was just short of the Maxx..?

HTC have said in their press conference in Barcelona that battery life is high on their list for this device - so, we just have to trust them

I love this freagin Phone Gawt Damn it.

I don't care about the little freaky glitches or that the battery only lasts a day with moderate usage(typical android and pretty good for htc). The phone is damn sexy, HTC sense for once works for me and I like it. The screen is out of this world, and it takes a second for my eyes to accept the low resolution, and clarity of the real world when I take my eyes of the screen. I love the quality of pictures it takes and really expected far worse from an HTC camera. The design and feel is sexy. Not to heavy and not to light, 4.7 inches and it feels like a much smaller phone. Little cute LED to let me know what I am missing(not the strobe light that upsets my wife at night on the galaxy nexus). Its the first phone that makes me want to whisper love poems to it.
Now where are the damn screen protectors and cases worthy of her beauty?
There is a white one x sitting in my amazon cart right now, taunting me. I bought the GNote at launch and I love it but its not a bad idea to have a smaller phone for other situations. The one x seems pretty damn impressive. I have a feeling that with it not being sold in the US in quad core form, it will hold its value pretty well. At least until the inevitable sgs3 drops damnit Im addicted to phones

Thats true the value in the states will stay high. I loved my note but this phone just feels special.
In love
I'm definitely in love with the One X too! I have the Gnex and it's getting pretty jealous right now, lol. Screen is so much better and it's so fast. Also real pleased with all the dev going on, makes me feel better about my purchase. I've had a few screen glitches but only since I rooted and went with custom roms. Although I unlocked the bootloader in less then 24 hours so not much chance to give stock a good run. My employer offset the cost and put in $300 towards my new baby so it was a bargain!!! Very pleased overall.
Pulled the trigger on a white one. One day shipping should put it in my hands before I leave for vacation weds afternoon

I love the phone too just wished the battery was a little better but the camera is pretty good and the best i have seen on a phone. It's light feels great. Really good screen over saturates on some colours however the quad core is a power house.
I noticed you on AT&T do you have the snap dragon version? Or did you get the unlocked global version?

Oh, and I completely echo the sentiment of the OP: This phone is the ****.
Yep, I got the grey one since I dont rly like the white color. White is timeless, agreed, and can look pretty elegant (and expensive), but I am more the dark type of person (color preference, not personality or style ) like more the decent, non attention colors. Grey just fits me quite well, and yes, its one damn beauty.
Sense 4.0 still got its issues, like pretty borked memory management (Rosie Reloads anyone? Drives me crazy sometimes) and bugged Tegra 3 drivers. Tegra 2 Games and Apps mostly run horrible, and the Tegra 3 enabled Games start to lag quite abit when alot interaction is going on.
Software-wise, and performance-wise, this phone is capable of so much more. Just look that the Transformer Prime with Tegra 3. It has a similar screen resolution, but almost EVERYTHING runs effin smooth on this baby. That is just ONE proof that HTC ****ed up the rushed release with its buggy software. Cant wait for a new, optimized and more ironed out firmware upgrade!
Camera Performance isn't final as well. I guess the bad performance is due to some missing optimizations, the hardware is great.
Overall, I dont regret switching from my Galaxy S2 i9100 to the One X, knowing it can do even better than it already does.

Got my HOX a week ago and I like it!

Hi all,
I just want to share my thoughts on the HOX. Having seen all those threads with supposed issues and defects I was almost turned away from the device but now I'm glad I bought it. Why? Because none of them exist with my phone. Comming from a Desire HD, my biggest concern was the plastic body but let me tell you it has nothing to do with the plastic toy-phone feel of the phones produced by the largest vacuum cleaner manufacturer in the world. Build quality is amazing. Easily one of the best HTC has ever achieved. The screen is gorgeous and the extra size compared to the DHD is negligible. Battery life is on par with the DHD, which means that with moderate use it can last a day. You can hook a car battery to a phone and there will still be people that complain it's not enough. If you actually earn your money to buy the HOX I doubt you have all the spare time to constantly play with it. And you probably won't be working in a corn field, so there will be an electric socket where you can plug your charger.
I have the black HOX made in Taiwan (I specifically looked at that before buying it) and of all the issues mentioned I only have the quiet rattling noise when I shake the phone like crazy near my ear. Well I don't intend to do it on a daily basis so it doesn't bother me at all. No gray flicker (at least not at the extend all those people posting here about how they have to return their phone 10-15 times make you believe), no yellow edges, etc. Camera is what you expect from a HTC device. Not the best in the business, but for an occasional shot here and there, and it will do. For everything else there are DSLRs.
The only complaint I have is that I can't watch episodes on southparhstudios.com for some weird reason. The commercials start but then there is no video. Not a deal breaker though.
My advice is to actually try the phone before buying and see if you like it. Don't let others (including me), to tell you what to think of the device, and you can wait for the S3 if messed up AMOLED colors are your thing (actually the only color they got right is the black). Oh and btw I got urBeats headphones with my phone as a gift for being one of the early adopters, and those make a difference when you turn the enhancer on.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Yeah, good review. I love it as well and truly is a phone that set a new mark in design and build quality. I would much rather have polycarbonate than the iPhone's metal which adds weight and interferes with call quality. I did have the screen flicker which was a little dissapointing, but ever since I flashed the latest arhd rom it went away. That's the only issue that I've had with this phone and its fixed .
A couple things that people have complained about this phone which I disagree with is: solid unibody and no beats headphones. I much prefer a solid phone; the feel and look is way better than removable parts. Plus I'm getting 18-20 hours of moderate usage on battery life. The beats headphones is something that's kind of funny. For one they are overpriced and just because the audio equalizer is on the phone doesn't mean that the headphones are coming with the package. I'm perfectly fine with a company focusing on the phone rather than a package deal to buy.
This phone has definitely lived up to its expectations for me and sounds like for you. Definitely agree that people should try it out as opposed to getting turned off and saying they are going to the sg3. Also, there is lots of community attraction to a flagship device packing a quad core.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
I also think the beats headphones are overpriced. I'd never pay 90 euros for a set of headphones that won't last a minute if either my three years old daughter or my one and a half year old son get their hand on them. That said, the quality of the sound is really better than my phillips headphones, so I'm glad I had them as a gift.

good review
same as me apart from shadowgun crashing - but that will be fixed 1.28. I am delighted with my phone.
God isn't the plug just rubbish on this phone. It's awkward with the USB socket not on the "normal" side, and the cable is too short. Now the kindle cable, that's the right size.

Congrats on your HOX!
If everything goes well I should get mine today.
The flickering issues concerns 1/3 of XDA Q&A section,80% of these users are here for problems reports so it's normal.
If I was in their shoes of course I would get mad,but I hate when some of them are saying that ''sooner or later all the HOX will have flickering'' for exemple...
It's like if they are sort of witches throwing bad mojo

The problem is that I'm comparing with a DSLR. And HOX camera can never be that good. It's definitely better than the DHD and iphone4 but nowhere near a real camera. Probably the best HTC has ever done but still it's tiny lenses, tiny sensor and no full manual control point and shoot camera.

also for those with some OCD among us, not ending up with flawless build One X is really irritating for now the One X is like a hand made product, samples differ

install a custom rom that focuses on battery life

So, I went to try a Galaxy S III earlier...

I have a few annoyances with my One X so I went to try out an S3 with high hopes seeing as it's been getting a lot of praise.
Thoughts -
Looks & design: The S3 is so ugly it's criminal. Samsung must have the worst designers in the world. It felt like a cheap, plastic toy, too. Awful.
The camera: The software seemed worse for the camera and the pictures didn't seem as good as my X.
The video: Again, virtually no different to the X here.
The screen: Well, what can one say. The X screen blows the GS3 screen out of the water. The AMOLED really looks dated now, aside from the black levels which are rarely seen anyway by most people. The colours are better on the LCD and it's noticeably sharper.
The software: TouchWiz is just plain horrible. It's possibly the worst designed software in the world, despite feeling snappy.
Performance: Virtually no differences here, both fast and smooth.
Audio quality: It looks like they've used the lowest end Wolfson DAC in the S3, the audio didn't sound good at all. I thought this would be a stand out point, but it wasn't.
The battery life reports only seem to be marginally better than the X from what I can see... so no real benefit here.
Have I missed something or have the Samsung fanboys just convinced themselves the S3 is good to try and cover up their disappointments? HTC have done a far better job in my opinion and they got here months in advance.
Lmao. You're definitely a fanboy.

LOL!
having seen an S3 in real life, I've got to admit its not that bad, but nothing inspiring and nothing new.
What I really wonder about is samsung's cohesion between the departments, their marketing is going on about this made for humans thing, and stuff about nature, so the phone is more rounded like a pebble and even the live wallpapers are nature themed. Why then did they put this chrome edge all around the phone and why does the blue one have this faux brushed metal look? just doesn't look like it was all properly thought through.

Good point. When I looked at the phone, it just didn't seem nature-like to me... Or looking like a pebble. It would have been better to take on a spaceship thing. Haven't taken it for a spin yet so can't comment on the software... Except that from what I see on blogs and videos... Well, I hate Touchwiz.
Designwise... The One X blows it overthe edge.

I think if they had given it a matte finish like the one x it would be more pebble like.
audio is made using Wolfson Micro WM1811 which is
Like WM8994 in Galaxy S / Nexus S, except:
1x stereo DAC instead of 2x.
2x 2W Speaker amp instead of 2x 1W
Smaller and probably cheaper, same sound quality expected.
analysis by François SIMOND aka supercurio
I do personally think (i had i9000) that HTC One X makes better sound when pushed volume to the limit
You are definitely wrong. I managed to play around a demo unit of GS3 for about an hour and compare it with my brother HOX.
GS3 feels better on hand because of the round shape.
The back cover feels like cheap plastic but luckily front face looks extremely good and high quality.
Unlike GS3, HOX screen's glass pops out above the bezel which looks a bit awkward. HOX screen is just 4.7inc but feel very big because the whole front face is cover by glass.
SAmoled HD screen is very good and comparable to HOX screen.
Sound quality on GS3 is definitely better and louder than HOX.
GS3 camera though not as sharp as HOX, it has better contrast. To be honest, looking pictures on GS3 is more enjoyable than HOX.
Touchwiz improve a lot and feel lighter. Sense 4 on the hand, still laggy and feels like a downgrade from Sense 3.5
Removable battery and sd slot is a big plus for GS3.
Playing just an hour with GS3 but it makes me feel enjoyable and feel like there a lot of surprised in this device that I yet to find out. HOX is a bit boring. I just play HOX for less than half an hour and feel nothing new.
Just my opinion. Don't take it seriously

Designed from a pebble WTF Does the owner of Samsung got a collection of pet rocks That phone is freakin UGLY, I hope they enjoy their pebble phone while my super smooth HOX looks AMAZING and runs AMAZING! No defects so don't come in here and start that sh^t like you are talking in your thread on ur forum, those were early batches, they fixed that issue. Actually my ONE X is an early version SH23 defect free made in China, looks great.
They got a thread over there at there rock nest about 100 pages comparing the S3 and One X.

It's been 10 day with my first android mobile gotta say its blown me away, my 4s is packed away eBay soon. Didn't choose the s3 because all Samsung phones feel way to cheap and doesn't look as good as the X. So what if the s3 has better benchmarks its not like the X isnt a beast

Quoted for truth.
Been using the One X and SIII parallel for a week now. There is no way the SIII can match One X's screen, camera and design.
But apart of that, the SIII takes it all. From the extendable memory over the heat problem while gaming and especially in battery life. That even on stock battery and I'll get an extended one soon. Did I mention, there is no locked or halfassed unlockable bootloader?
After a week of using both, if I had to stick with only one of them, I'd go with the SIII for sure.

i neither love nor hate the design of galaxy s3 its okey dokey. Samsung is very good for hardware but they sucks when it comes to software. So this time i got HTC One x (my first htc phone). Previously i had a smasung device (samsung wave - its a bada pone) and what the hell i have to wait for whole year for official upgrade Thats kinda sucks.
Sigh wish people would stop trying to justify their buy by attacking the other phone, its like two friends dating sisters.

I'm a HTC fanboy arguably, however I disagree and agree with you. Here's my thoughts on the GSIII versus HOX:
Software: Sense 4.0 is certainly better than TouchWiz and there really is no arguing about it. It's things like the ability to set Scene's and Theme's and get a real personalization of your phone. On the other hand TouchWiz feels snappier, but it's starting to feel dates. It's extremely lightweight and barebones and the killer for me is that it doesn't offer much more functionality than Vanilla ICS, therefore why bother. The Keyboard and Messaging application on the One X is much more useable and better looking than the GSIII and the Mail application is bliss compares to the GSIII too.
Design: The GSIII design is really dates in the respect that you could erase all branding of 'Samsung' from the GSI AND GSIII, but if you put then alongside you would still be able to guess one was the others successor. With the One X and Sensation, there's not much that looks the same. The buttons have changed, the Camera location etc, which brings me to a flaming. Who the hell at HTC was allowed go design a raised camera lens? Put the thing down on a table and it scratches SO easy!
Camera: I don't think there's much in here for either of them, both phones use 8 MP sensors and I must say myself, I'm not really into camera's. If anything I'm slightly disappointed that both companies failed to improve either camera. The One X uses an 8 MP like the Sensation (despite being a different camera) and the GSIII uses the exact same Camera as the GSII, which in my experience wasn't actually that good. When it comes to the camera at least HTC have made a slight improvement by bumping the camera to 1.3 MP, however for some reason Samsung downgraded theirs, the GSII used a 2.0 MP sensor where as the GSIII uses a 1.x MP sensor.
The whole 'designed by nature' thing just goes right over me. I'm sorry but it looks like a bus run over a clay mould of a GSII and the GSIII is the stretched & curved result. The hardware buttons (as in the Menu button specifically and Hone) are well out of date in the respect that the One X no longer uses a Menu button, however the GSIII has that physical Hone button and the Menu button, basically a 2011 phone design.
Overall I think the Samsung GSIII is an extremely over hyped phone. It is ugly, but then it's old looks. I think the only thing to shout about is the processor, which is arguable better than the HOX's, however where are you really going ti ever see that improved speed? This may seem biased, but it's just my personal opinion.

Screen is probably the biggest reason. The slcd2 on thr one x is probably one of the best screens I've used.
Battery life is around the same, but it should improve with later updates.
Most of the quality control issue are sorted out if not all of them. Just make sure you get a recent one. Granted I have a first batch one x made on China and it's perfect

make the jump... i came from the s2 and loved that phone to bits and still say it was the best phone i ever had but my One X is hands down ten times better and love it...You will not regret it my friend and once you get to grips with flashing roms and kernels you are in for a winner

How do i know if the htc one x is recent one ?
And my friend got htc one x yestrday i saw it
But there is a weird thing when he opened it the sticker on the screen (is htc one x ) and as i know and seen on videos that it comes with sticky on it says(im the one you have been waiting for)
Does this mean new ones comes with only htc one x sticky on it ?
And can u please be kind and tell me what the first things i need to check when i get my htc one x like check screen and what else ?

How is the gaming preformance is it better than sgs2 ' and does it over heat more than the sgs2, when playing games?
And is it less laggy or more laggy than the galaxy s2, when it comes for multi tasking ?

hey...find it better to be honest with you gaming wise. and no heat or anything like that. and no it is buttery smooth for me my friend..plus there are threads in general were it guides you on how to get the best gaming experience..
in general anything you need to know you will find a guide here
and this phone like i said is fast, smooth, good performance wise and gaming could not ask for a better phone
If you don't care for removable battery and additional storage space then it's a fine phone. If the two fore mentioned are of any significance then I suggest to skip the phone.
The screen on the one x is fantastic, it's sharp, clear and bright. Better than amoled for whites and colours are closer to natural. However blacks are not as deep and contrast not as high.
The performance is fine for a tegra 3 device. The heat is not much of an issue it does heat up but it won't burn you or explode type of heat. My sgs2 use to heat up as well when playing games.
Give it a hands on and if you like it you'll be pleased with it. I adore mine and wouldn't swap it for anything at the present moment.

I had the Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S) then the international version of the Galaxy S2 (i9100) and now the Tegra 3 HOX. I used to be a Samsung fanboi so it was a gamble for me, plus my wife has an iphone 4S so I can compare agaianst that one too. Hi, here are my comments. Keep in mind that you are not switching from an old Motorola to a One X you are switching from one of the best smartphones ever made (Galaxy S2). Here are my comments.
1. First week: complete culture shock. I missed the deep blacks and punchy colors of my Galaxy S2. HOX looked ok more natural but kind of washed out colors, I missed those saturated colors of SAMOLED. Speed wise I did not see what the fuzz was about. Speedwise I did not see any differences. SGS2 felt more fluid, tiny lag on the HOX. I did like Sense though. Rooting the HOX was scary compared to the SGS2 but I got through it. Missed the SGS2 XDA community a lot. Dissapointed with HOX, wanted to return it, but I remember having the same feelings with the Captivate so I decided to give it a try.
2. Second week: either my eyes got used to the blacks and colors on the One X or my display adjusted itself. Now I am seeing what the fuzz is about, now the blacks seem fine on the HOX and oh my those colors and resolution!!!! I compared it side to side with the SGS2 (already sold to a friend) and it was a relief, even my friend seems jealous of the HOX screen. Facebook, ebay and Kindle look like CRAP om the SGS2 compared to the One X, those whites!!! Side to side with my wife iphone 4S, on par cant see much difference which is a good thing as the iphone display is superb. Looking at kindle with white background the One X looks better. Speed is fine its fast but still that annoying lag when turning homescreens. Camera is great if you fiddle with the settings as sometimes it chooses a high ISO and look grainy but look sharp with ISO100. Lowlight shots are great way better than SGS2.
3. Third week: Installed Charmeleon ROM, added transparent notification pulldown, great notification settings menu (EQS) and slide status bar to adjust brightness, things I missed on my SGS2!!!! Solved phone lag, it was just a matter of installing APEX Launcher and volia! My phone now feels faster and looks better than what I had on my SGS2!!!!! I made it!!!! I am in ecstasy! Only 2 problems!!!! MY WIFI IS BROKEN (known design flaw) and my battery still sucks when compared with my SGS2!!! SGS2 18 hrs use/4 hrs display time. HOX: 12 hrs use/2 hrs display time. Yuck!
4. Fourth week : The only 2 problems I had with my HOX (battery life and wifi dropping out) are now solved!!!! Solved the lousy battery life by decreasing brightness . I found out that if you decrease it at around 30% it still looks great you dont need it at top brightness and now I am getting 22 hrs/4 hrs battery life on average but for instance I am doing a movie test and it has been running for 5 hours and still has 37% left! The wifi issue, this one was tricky: I opened my HOX and adjusted the wifi contacts myself. Not that difficult but I was lucky I didnt damage anything. Now wifi works perfectly!
5. Ultimate test : SGS3 vs HOX encounter. So my friend went to a meeting and I borrowed his SGS3 for 2 hours and made comparisons like crazy. Let me tell you the SGS3 is a great phone I declare it a tie vs the HOX. The HOX screen still looks better specially the whites and it is more defined and clear. Design and materials on the HOX are better however the SGS3 also is a nice phone it is not the piece of crap some reviewers want you to believe. Plus there is the removable battery thing.
In summary I am delighted with my HOX, best phone I ever had. However, as you can see I had to make the following tuning:
1. Root
2. Installed Charmeleon / Faux Kernel
3. Waited some battery cycles (charge at 10%). It does improve over time!
4. Lower brightness
5. Installed APEX Launcher for turbo fast transitions!
6. Fixed wifi myself (as I am out of warranty anyways)
7. Definetely not having SGS3 envy!
I say go for it IF you are able to return it easily in case you have any out of the box issues. It seems you have better chance of getting a perfect SGS3 vs a perfect HOX.

Hi man thanks for ur replay wow u did a great review thanks alot !
Now my only fear is about the wifi( because if it had any problems i cant return it there is no warranty for devices where i live......)
I talked with a friend of mine who just bought the htc one x today
He told me that he tried the wifi and its working fine with no dc
And with long range
If i got my htc one x does this mean that 100/100 i will get a problem with wifi ? Or not ?

No Issues
I have had my HOX for almost 3 months now.
I have had no issues till now.
I always get great wifi signal strength and speed.
This was a great review! Just came from the Skyrocket (great phone by the way) to the HOX....tried waiting out the SGS3 but needed a phone ASAP. Initially thought I'd just swap when the SGS3 hits stores but this one is growing on me. It has such beautiful hardware! Thanks for this info.

Going from HTC One to the Note 3

So I'm thinking about migrating from the One to the Note 3. Has anybody done this and enjoyed the experience and would you all recommend it?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I went from the Htc one dev edition to the note 3. First thing i noticed was the difference in screen, i prefer the display quality of the htc one (SLCD) rather than the amoled screen of the GN3. Other than the screen and premium feel the GN3 bests the htc one with battery life, speed and camera quality.I'm most likely going to sell the note 3 and get the new htc one (m8) when it arrives.
I just to have the HTC one . But the Note 3 is a Beast. I won't go back to HTC one.
The only thing that I like from the HTC one, was the sound quality and the aluminum body, but, I don't miss it at all.

I do miss the HTC One because I could easily manipulate it with one hand. After switching to the Note 3, I noticed it is much more difficult to use the device with one hand, and trust me I have relatively large hands. The speakers on the one were awesome and the sense ui is far superior in terms of appearance. However I don't regret having the Note 3 at all since it compensates by being a beast of a device.
If it was me, I would get away from HTC devices. The company has been hurting badly and it is only a matter of time until your device has no support anymore. They are constantly losing money, reinventing the wheel, and just flying pretty low.
The naked eye cannot discern the difference between tiny little 4.8" SUPER LCD screen and the one on the Note 3. Look closely at an edge, a graphic on a widget, a web page... if you tell me you can see a difference, even while squinting up close, you are suffering massively from a bad case of placebo.
I would go with the Note 3. Better software, better support, more likely it will remain supported for a few years, and you really can't beat the way they integrated the pen into the UI. Unbelievable, the places Samsung has taken Android.
And the Note 3 camera makes the One's camera look like a polaroid.
That is just my opinion - and despite what you or others may think - it is unbiased. Just calling a spade a spade. I used to love HTC products.
Do what you want.

I had a One for about 3 months until the Note came out and changed straight away simply for the screen size.

Only real thing I noticed was the size and how the Note seemed brighter, but the HTC had a crisper screen IMO -- I'm also waiting to see what the M8 throws at us, but I doubt I will switch unless it's something totally different.
I came from the One as well and I cannot go back. I enjoy the screen size and features such as the multi window and pen window... root enables so much more.
The issues I couldn't stand anymore on the One were:
Purple haze making low light photos horrible on the camera
Bad battery life (easily 2x the battery with the Note)
GD bezels... HTC really didn't make efficient use of the size of the device
Bad USB ports (went through 2 with this issue, they wiggle loose)
Things I miss:
The front camera was better then the rear and all over just a good camera
Speakers.. Stupid catch name or not, they were great
Feel (although the Note isn't far from it. Feels solid and we'll built with no slimy plastic)
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
I had 2 HTC Ones and I traded one of them for the LG Optimus G Pro. It was a wrap after that. The screen was bright and sharp but it was the way I could use slide for multi tasks. My wife has the note 2 and I absolutely hated Tw, but the use of the stylus and how great it was with its multitasking was perfect for me as I have TBI and my memory sucks. I do miss the zoe feature, perfect for a huge family like mine, and the speakers were awesome. But when my wife surprised me with the N3 it was all over. Everything I need and then some. Development is better in the note3. Tw even grew on me lol.
The camera on the N3 sucks at low light shots but other than that, it's pretty banging. Probably not going back to HTC. If they hadn't mucked up the HTC one max then I would most likely still be with them. But I'm gonna ride out with my N3.
