Am i mad? - HTC One X

I took out a contract for the htc Desire in August 2010 £30 p/m.
In October 2011, i took out a really cheap contract out on the htc Sensation £21.50 p/m for another 2 years but am using my original sim in my sensation so have not used the second sim at all!
Yesterday, i ordered the One X on another 2 year contract (great deal £26 p/m, 300 mins, unlimited texts and 750 mb of data) so, when i recieve it i will have 3 contracts on the go! Am i mad??
Edit. Not as bad as it sounds as i will sell my sensation which will pay off the first contract with £110 to spare and i have managed to lower my second contract to £15.50 p/m for the remaining 16 months by knocking off a £6 data package so may pay that off as well.
Couldn't resist this beauty. I hope it doesn't disappoint as the Sensation did in many ways even though i still love it!

Where's the best place to buy XDA IIs from UK?

Cheapest so far:
£169.99
+ £30.99 per mnth for 200mins
http://www.e2save.com/mobile/phones/disphandset.php?network=O2&handset=XDA2S
I doubt you'll find it much cheaper than that. I got mine for £9.99 on an O2 Max plan, but now the lowest price for the handset on that tariff is about £50.
I've also heard through the rumour mill that stock of the XDA IIs is about to become a bit thin on the ground soon owing to supply/demand issues; HTC can't seem to make these devices fast enough to satisfy the carriers... just look at the debacle that is happening with Orange and the M2000.
Besides - do you want to spend all your time trawling for a slightly better deal, or do you want to actually be using and XDA IIs in the near future?
From T-mobile as an MDA III
£295 + £15 a month
If it's the MDA III, then the best price ATM seems to be via the following
http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk/ourdeals.php?PROV=121&OFF=1MDA3&TAR=RELAX22
Assuming 'Guest' doesn't want to spend much more than £30/month on his tariff, the best deal is for Relax 200 on a 12-month contract, being £32/month (with half-price line rental for the first 3 months)
Selecting this, the cost of the MDA III is only £59.99. If 'Guest' opted for an 18-month contract, the handset would be £24.99, and if they don't mind paying £51/month for 400 x-net minutes, they wouldn't have to pay a penny for the handset at all.
Naturally, all this is assuming that 'Guest' would be happy on T-Mobile as opposed to O2
A bit late... but I picked up my MDA III for £140 plus £13p/m (for 12 months) rising to £26 (for the last 6 of the contract) yesterday. Shame that there doesn't seem to be any way with T-Mobile of buying bundled GPRS on contract.
Considering that the O2 shop next door wanted £249 for the XDA IIs and £30p/m for 12 months, it seemed a pretty good deal frankly.
I should make the purchase cost back selling my Nokia 6600 on once it's unlocked, fingers crossed.
Fwiw, I got mine from Uplands a couple of months ago at £125 & £35/mth, but I do use a fair few minutes each month and this worked out the most cost effective.
Not wanting to sound like a ringer, I got great customer service (next day delivery after faxing some docs) and friendly, personal attention.
</plug!>
Got mine from Uplands as well; I tried to place an order with The Link early in the new year (seeing as the handset was going for nowt on O2 Max) but they were out of stock. Uplands was the next best thing at £9.99 and I got the handest early the next day; no complaints there so I'll no doubt go back to them come August when I can port across my other Orange number...
I told O2 I was moving to Orange (on £25 a month O2 100 online contract) as Orange had offered me an MPV2000 for free and O2 said they would matchit!!! XDAIIs FOC - Result
I got mine from The Link - they knocked 200 quid off the price of the handset, so it ended up cost £40 for the handset, plus £30 a month on the o2 200 package.
I don't know why they knocked so much off - no-one else had stock, and now they can't get stock themselves.
I got mine from the Link just before Xmas. 150 pounds plus 30 pounds a month for 300 any minutes (double mins for first 3 months)
Got mine last sat 29th in the link on o2 max, it cost me nothing but the line rental is £75 per month.
(hope to have cheaper bills now as i was having £150 bills on xnet 400 through singlepoint!)
www.buymobilephones.net has it quite cheap
My M2000 was £0.00 with £0.00 line rental!
Gotta have some perks of working for the company!
Just got mine for £180 on £16/month line. Prices gone down to £99 on £25 line rental and above from 02 shop
I paid £180 with £20 line rental from 02 shop not too long ago...
By far the best deal I could find.
Bought one from O2 Shop. Since I've already monthly contract somewhere else, I opted for the Data only package. It was £9 a month, and the Handset costed £200-ish.

Price Guesstimates

Hi All,
Finally gonna leave my hermes for a new machine.
What quotes have you guys been finding online or at shops for the Rhodium?
Online, I saw a US site pre ordering at $749.99 and a UK site preorder at £517.95
http://www.inkino.co.uk/zen/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2753
Also http://www.expansys.com/ is quoting the t-diamond 2 for £411, so maybe its going to be just below £500?
hopefully the recession will help htc to price it lower
no one wanna play guesstimate?
ok att version $500 when it comes out and then $300 with several discounts and contract ****. wait wait $499.99 and $299.99 us loves to think that makes it less LOL

I second that one. But I must know. What's a verzzzion?
Here's my 2 pence worth
I have been searching and from a UK perspective mobile phones direct have the Pro2 and Diamond2 listed for pre-order.
Their picture of the phone has a free label in the corner.
Judging from what I have seen I am hoping the pricing will be very similar to the HD. If it is then I am going to be as happy as a pig in s***. As soon as the Pro2 is released i'm having one (it also ties in quite nicely to when my contract is up also )

High-end phones seem to be more expensive at the moment with the N97 on Play at a SIM free price of £600.
$299 for Rhodium
$199 for Diamond2
After rebates with 2year contract
When it comes to Sprint in Q3 of this year!
Since the Fuze for ATT was around $350 on release im guessing about the same for the Fuze 2 or TP2 w.e you wanna say lol

I have had my HD for about 2 months and will sell it right now and keep my old Kaiser until this phone comes out. Maybe get it from the UK in May when it is due to drop over there.
I think price will be similar to HD when was launched (Hope is less!!)
Price, well it's bad thing. More than 500 euro, less than 750 euro e.g 600-650 euro unlocked, without contract, nobrand....
I read your post quick, the 500 and 300 but then wait wait 499.99 and 299.99 I dunno what it is but it seems..cheaper, its a mental thing or something...LOL..after looking at it I was like its a 1cent difference but mentally that 299.99 seems cheaper than 300, man they have programmed us stores do it too alot of crap is 19.99 never $20

i'm hoping $299.00 with a 2yr. contract existing customer. it will probably be more like $399.00 though

I gues it will be free in Holland with a 2 year 40 euro a month contract by T-Mobile and will come down to a 30/35 euro a month contract in a few months.
It is already showing at expansys.co.uk for £524 estimated to be in on the 5th of june

I'm plannin on gettin it with Vodafone.
1 year contract. 27.50 a month + Data-plan = 37.50 a month, and the first 6 months 20% discount so that would be:
First 6 months 32 euro a month, and last 6 six months 37.50 a month.
And then I need to pay something like 295 euro for the TP2

HTC One X Tariff's - What Did You Get?

I just pre-ordered the One X from Phones 4U and got a fab deal:
Phone Cost: £109.99
£28.50 per month, 600 mins, 3000 texts, 1GB data
Free HTC Media Link HD adapter (bonus!!).
I then phoned up Phones4U and told them I was thinking of cancelling the contract and just buying the phone outright. They then offered me the phone for free so I got £109.99 refunded!
Just thought I would share in case anything was thinking of buying one
Also the Media Link HD adapter is only free whilst on Pre Order.

hmmmm...
i've ordered from Amazon (£500 for the phone), and am planning to use a £10 monthly giffgaff contract (unlimited data), which works out at £620 over a year.
the phones4u deal is incredibly tempting, but i'd only want a 12 month contract, which limits me to vodafone, 500mb only, and £150 for the phone, £36 per month.
just not 100% sure i'll like the phone and stick with it when the iphone 5 / sg 3 announcements are out.

Good deal, I didn't see the last bit! Was just about to point out the phone is free with cashback from dialaphone. Good stuff
It still works out cheaper going for the 12 month Dial A Phone deal why:
£109.99 for the phone,
£432.00 for year contract,
£541.99 total cost.
Minus Quidco -£65 (4 more days to go still)
£476.99.
Assuming Quidco pays out 99.9% it does.
You get the HD link thrown in for free. You could potentially sell this if you don't use it otherwise if purchased separately will cost up to £80.
What's more if you don't like it, just cancel the contract obviously you'd have to pay off X remaining months if your few months into it but works to be few quid cheaper than buying from Amazon with the benefit of the free media link.
Long winded but ya know!
This way it works out slightly cheaper buying from Amazon but can also have GG as main sim, think of it spreading your costs instead of one hit.

It seems all new Vodafone 12 month contracts include a free 3 month test drive for data. So for 3 months you can use as much data as you want.
http://www.vodafone.co.uk/personal/mobile-internet/on-your-phone/data-test-drive/?cid=rdr-4870-01
Then you have an option to add additional data which works out £5 per 500mb or decline and stick with the standard 500mb.
That is a bloody good deal!!! I'm definitely interested in that. 12 month contract is perfect, that's such a cheap deal! Gonna have to speak to Orange and see if they can match that as I've been with them for 10 years. Was looking at £36 a month for 750mb but 18 month contract (phone upgradeable after 15) and free phone or so. Hmmmm. Thanks for your help!

just called Phones4u asking about doing an upgrade pre-order for the one X.

I have the same deal from Dial a Phone... Free phone with Quidco cash back, but only paying 28.50 a month, and a free Medialink HD. Just a heads up if you wanna better your deal?
Definately getting insurance when the phone arrives!

How much did you pay for your One X?

I'm pretty happy with the deal I got. Over here, the lowest sim free price was €610 and the lowest prepay price was €519 from Three.
So... I decided to shop around and managed to get the phone for €269 on a 12 month (€20 per month) contract. So that's a round total of €509 with 12 months worth of phone service.
579 euro in Germany on 4 days before launch date (april 2nd)

Got mine for 36000 INR
I know conversions don't work like this, but still:
36000 INR (India) == 704 US$ == 443 British Pounds == 537 Euros
And yeah, that's a sim free phone.
I got my phone from O2 UK I paid £179.99 on a 24 month £10.50 contract so it works out....
£179.99 + £252 (full contract) - £60 cashback (Via Top CashBack) - £50.40 VAT (for paying full contract early) = £321.59 for the phone.
I did the same when i bought my GS2 last year, i got that for less than £300.

Neither could I. I phoned up ready to fight to keep my old 18month contract when they offered me that. Was gobsmacked and took them up on the offer as fast as I could lol

Grey HOX for 560€ without contract.
Insanely expensive, but it is a pretty cool gadget to own.
Bought mine on a £21.50 pm contract with O2 through Tesco and £50 TopCashback. Removed the £6 data bolt on which leaves me paying £15.50pm. Using a Three sim I ordered through Quidco £10pm 300mins Unlimited texts and 1gb data plus £100 cashback if it works. So £25.50 a month altogether plus a possible £150 cashback.
I paid $595 for my one
