Whats everyone. Just moved here from an HTC amaze 4g. After 6 amazes, yeah I kept getting hardware problems mostly screen problems. I got sick of it. I decide to move away from HTC because always hardware problems. Dont get me wrong though it was a awesome phone. Anyways, see how my experience is.

I rooted one of them but I unrooted and locked the bootloader again. But when I went to sams club Tmobile the rep told me rooted or not if its a hardware problem like what I had they'll still do the exchange.

I was thinking after the first one to switch already but I really wanted the camera from the amaze. I'm a Photographer so it was hard but after taking a good hard look, the s2 didn't have that much of a difference. Plus when I finally did the switch, this phone was on sale for 88 bucks. I paid 188 for the amaze. So when I did switch I got money back because they had to honor the sale price. So I got a better phone for me and for 100 bucks back

The amaze is a nice phone, but i feel like htc rushed it and could have given it a better screen and battery life. I was a user for 2 months.

It seems all they're doing is vomiting phones to us and rushing these damn incomplete devices. The sensation had an amazing community but nothing to save it's hardware and battery problems. These stupid companies need to slow down and make something great. I'm an HTC fan and just waiting for them to make something nice that I can replace my Galaxy with. Sorry guys.

The only problem that HTC devices have imo is Sense. The G1 was great for the couple years I had it. Look at the G2!! Great phone because it's running vanilla Android.
Sense = Fail
Always syncing in the background, taking up resources, and bogging the phone down. ESPECIALLY on the Mytouch 3G slide (oh what a mess that phone is). Every time someone walks into my store with a MT3G slide i think, "oh boy here we go" lol
Even on the HD2 windows phone!! The solution we gave a lot of customers was to turn Sense off and it solved pretty much everyone's problems with that phone.
Lol couldn't agree more. Sense is definitely eye candy, but i end up removing most of the stuff with titanium backup. I enjoy some things from there but eh. Seems to me like the mt4g was the last quality phone by them. The one with the good display at least. I remember getting 4 hours display time with that bad boy and that was running sense. Glad we have tdj and rk from there lol

I hear ya haha. I used to hate WM6.5 sooo much and was super hyped when I found out android had been ported over. That phone was one of the best over ever had, si many customization option when it came to ROMs. They even have ICS already. I would have kept it had it not been for the catastrophic drop that ruined the display

hey i have an htc one x i want it to change it for an s3 so i got back from where i bought it and told them that i want to change it well they told me why do you want to do that s3 is not good one x way better s3 have lots of trouble they told me that they sold about 5 s3 last week but 3 give them back for an one x or a iphone is that right or do you advise me to change to an s3 or stay with my one x really confused! and thanks

I can comment and say....
Get the GS3. Try it for a week or two then pass it on like I did.
One X in real day usage is a far better experience.

Sod the s3 its just full of gimmicks and crap most of wich don't work most people at my work have a s3 and I just lagh when Thay carnt get something to work the only thing I like on it is USB otg if you really no your phone I would stick with the hox

Its personal preference really, I for one would never have another Samsung device, just for the pure fact I don't like them anymore. I love my HOX, I must be one of the lucky ones that don't have the problems. But I'd keep with the HOX if I was you.

One of the reasons why I don't like Samsung is because they are so plastic. As to the HOX WiFi issues, I've had no issue. Not sure if I have a later phone or what, but all seems fine. Brought mine about 3 months ago.

OK, seeing as I've used both I'll give my views...
1. The screen on the One X is VASTLY superior to the S3 - the viewing angles are better and it just looks more natural.
2. TouchWiz, although I hate it, IS more fluid and suffers from less lag than Sense.
3. A lot of the gimmicks are useless but don't hinder the performance
4. I don't like the buttons are the base of the S3 - too close to the bottom of the unit, they look like an after-thought
5. I like the notification toggles in the S3 - they're handy. Why HTC got rid of 'Quick Settings' in the stock ROM build is beyond me
6. Having a removable battery/SD card IS a benefit and one HTC should have catered for
7. Autobrightness is quite low on the S3 - my Dad has to turn the screen up a lot for him to see it properly (he is getting old tho! )
8. WiFi works fine on both the S3 and One X from my experience, no issues with either
Overall I prefer the One X but the S3 isn't as bad as people think. OK it's a bit platicky but other than that it is a good phone - just not for me
neva had any issues with wifi... this is an excellent device... my colleague has an S3 and never saw him using any of the fancy features that S3 boasts about... he was going gaga over some of the features, but then he's also had some software issues... the touchwiz is the crappiest ones out there... there's nothing premium about the S3... i hate samsung personally...:cyclops:
hey again guys i'm just going to stay with my hox and i'm not having problems with anything i liked the s3 because of the smart features but i rooted my one x and evreything is working fine and actually there is an app called smart stay does the same thing that the feature of the s3 does and there is another called super video that gives you that pop up video thing of the s3 if you have an one x be sure to download those to apps and thanks for your answers everyone and stay high on android don't go with the iphone!
I have a HOX. Awesome phone but I HATE the stock Internet browser on there everyone u scroll up it pulls menus up. And it has a severe lack of multitasking or switching between apps , even the iPhone has a double tap on the home button that brings up recent apps. The screen on HOX is amazing tho and tbh I don't think sense is all that bad I liked it. I have my eyes on the S3 tho, I like it but as I'm hearing all this stuff about problems with it I'm thinking im gonna wait till next wednesday and see what Apple has to offer with the iPhone 5

Secondly, this is the 1500000 effing comparison thread to the effing S3. If you or he want a goddamn s3 yeah. Go to that forum and go for broke. XDA wants you where you fit. That's why there are neat TITLES in each section.

So yesterday I traded my note for the optimus g. MOD EDIT profanity removedThis phone had so much promise but just fall short on every turn. Some things I was looking forward too.
Better screen
Better processor
Cooler look
Smaller
And I wanted to try something new. I've had Samsung for 3 years now. And I haven't tried anything else.
Where I was wrong:
Screen sucks! Yeah it has more ppi.. but the screen on all videos has this grainy look to it. I understand that the superamoled is high contrast, but it wasn't the colors it was the video itself.
Screen= fail
plus this screen is now to small... I can't believe how perfect 5+ inches. Is.
Processor = alright
It might just be LG software but this phone isn't as quick as I thought I should be. I mean come on this s4 pro kid such a badass... not really I have to give it to Samsung for making everything in house.. I feel like they are the gods for now on mobile devices
All in all the phone isn't want the note is.. plus I hate seeing 53% battery in only 4 hours of using my device instead of 14 or 16. Well sorry just wanted to make sure no one ever leaves this place... until the next big thing comes out. But honestly this phone is the best hands down. .

Sorry to here that man. Honestly first world problems is my only draw back in life. Everyone worries to much about big things that we can't control, I worry about ill things like. "Wow my quad core phone doesn't work as good as my other quad core phone." Yeah I get how this could be a dumb problem but w/e.
Honestly tho LG had so much promise buy fell short. Almost tried the HTC one x+ bit one gig of ram... nah not even.

Dont do the one x+!!! I originally switched from note 2 to the one x+a couple months ago. I returned it in like 5 days. It was so laggy I couldn't believe it. I loved the build quality of it but battery and performance was awful. Only phone I have used with better performance than the note 2 is the iphone 5. Back on note 2 now and living it.

Ive been on iPhone my whole life till now. Ive always had to jailbreak to get all of the features I wanted and with android even with out root it is much more customizable. Plus the iPhone 5 is a piece of garbage do not ever consider switching from this big beautiful powerful phone that we all love.
How was the camera on the Optimus G? I've heard bad results. I love how Rogers says its the fastest phone in Canada which is what everyone is using on their Kijiji adds. Yet they are selling for 400 and under lol.
Props to all who contributed to this thread. After driving for an hour in a horrible snow storm in a lowered Honda, this thread is awesome!! So much win. Plus my car is better then the 4x4 trucks that where in the ditch all over the place haha

I've played with both the HOX+ as well as the LG Optimus G. Honestly after having this phone and playing with those others I don't see how you guys were even curious lol. The S4 Pro is a good chip but its not nearly as oower efficient as our Exynos, and while touchwiz isn't the most attractive overlay, it's easily the least resource intensive and most feature filled. I consider myself to be pretty heavy into the mobile scene and I have yet to find an all around better device than the Note 2.

HTC's announcement for their newest phone is today (in a couple minutes, really). A video was posted as a preview, which you can watch here, but it isn't in English. It's a pretty good looking phone with some decent specs but overall I think HTC just makes some weird decisions. Calling this device the HTC One after they've already released HTC One X/S/V etc. Seems backwards to me.
Anybody possibly going to be moving to this phone after the Inc 2, or for those of you on newer phones like the DNA/Inc 4g will you be jumping ship this early? My upgrade is in July so I'll probably give it a shot but ultimately I think I will end up with the Galaxy S IV (a sure-fire for development down the road, and for straight spec-power) or potentially the rumored Motorola X.

Where does it say that? Because as far as I know, only Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T are confirmed to carry the HTC One.

Yes! I got my X on the 1st day of launch on 2nd April 2012 too.
The X has been a solid good phone to me. It has been problem-free and I'm not upgrading to the upcoming HTC One.
The X is still serving me very well especially that it is running on the OrDroid Rom.

Mine stopped ringing. It automatically changes into silent mode when it gets an incoming call... I hope I could fix it soon. Don't wanna go back to my old iPhone

had many fave phones during the last few years...from iphone 4 to my galaxy s2...but i have to say my One X was the best soldier i ever had..served me well..

honestly Goku im having a little more trouble than you did in letting go of it
whenever i look at that smooth perfectly organic black shape with glossy sides and floating screen i fall in love all over again :laugh:
in many ways it looks better than the M7
I love the One X to bits Idk why, there's just something that makes it stand out from the rest. Everyone asked me why I went for it instead of the SIII or Note II or N4...all I could say was "I dunno, just had that badass look to it, the others looked like *******"...it's true this thing just screams badass...the raw power is my kinda thing
I've never been happier with a phone either !
Was so skeptical about the non-removeable battery, but its brilliant !

For me it was like, OK S3s are too mainstream. Let's go with something else. Then my friend recommended the One X. Checked it out, OMG nVidia WANT. Then bought it.
Now is the best buy!!
