MAC address is in Settings/About, and Tethering is already set up.
Anyone able to successfully enter the gyroscope test? It crashes every time I try it.
Edit: Never mind, I deleted the Diagnostic app and redid the code and now it works.

It's working on mine. Maybe uninstall, then reinstall, and see if that makes any difference.

I opened the app and set my SSID and Passphrase. When I hit connect I get this force close message every time. Any ideas?
You have to uninstall it and then reinstall it from the google code website. I can't post links but google "wireless tether google code"

Strange, uninstall/reinstall worked for me. I installed the one from the market, I'm sure it's the same as the one from the google code page though.
I'll try it hopefully it works.

I had this issue and I realized that I accidentally forgot to turn off the wifi in settings. It sounds ridiculous, I know, but just in case.
I uninstalled it and re-installed the apk from the google code website and it works now. Thanks.
First let me say i'm sorry that i didn't find information regarding this issue by searching but I cant seem to find information describing the exact problem i'm having.
I have nand unlocked and while i can connect to wimax, i can not load any pages to completion. The browser progress bar moves but will never finish. I'm about ready to do the start over method. I know it worked at some point, but way to many things have changed since i knew it worked. My MAC appears correct when i do the wimax_mtd in terminal emulator. Does anybody have any insight into my particular problem? Thanks for any help...
I am having this same problem on the most recent Fresh. The page loads very quickly but the progress bar never finishes.
This happens only while connected on wimax. FWIW, I'm pulling up to 13mbps downlink.
It's because of the HOSTS file and/or using AdFree, open said program, and switch from use 127.0.0.1 to use BTC IP

Good call... I am using ad free. What is the BTC ip? I don't see the option or another ip listed.

first when i buy evo in september its dont connect at all, after read a bunch of posts here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=726877 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=726877&highlight=connection finally i got connected , but not loading a pages, sprint service wasting time

Most recent versions of AdFree have removed BTC IP (it was slamming their servers).
You can try 0.0.0.0 for a custom IP and see how that goes.

First, do you use the program "AdFree"?
I tried 0.0.0.0 and still seems to be doing the same thing, but not as frequently. Any other ideas?
I'm having the exact same problem and it's driving me crazy. It will get 80% full and just stop. It stops so long that it kicks the browser back to 3g to complete the page since 4g stalls.

I'm using rls5 and adfree host files are built in. I also have the app so I can update host files since they already expired since the rom was built.. I have this problem with any rom.

Same here - on myn and can't load web pages. Tried the 0.0.0.0 and no luck.
I hit revert rebooted and now it works but if I reapply the ad blocking no more web again

Has anyone came up with any solutions to this problem? I see no reply post in months. I don't have adfree..so I don't know what the problem could be. PLEASE HELP!..The one problem I have not seen touched on this forum
+1 i am also having this issue
It says "initializing resource" or something like that, then just does nothing once that window disappears. I'm still on the dialer.
This happened right after I installed Baked Snack. Whats up with that. Anyone heard of this and know the solution? Just figured I'd ask.

Not all ROM's are created equal, that is not part of the Baked Goods in the ROM you are using.
Son of a *****! (not you) I thought I finally found a ROM where everything I wanted worked. The search continues....
I used to have a problem similar to that, try doing that with your wifi turned on and connected.

It worked! You, sir, are - howyousay - the man.
Having your MSL from your provider and not using an emergency dialer would also help if the WiFi thing doesn't work on another ROM
So I recently got this phone and it came with Android 2.3.6
I stand next to my old school and it catches the router TP-LINK### and connects, gathers IP address and the signal bar displays as good.
Finally, when I try to access the web it doesn't seem to work and says I need to check settings. What else would I need to check? Anyone know?

Nope, I've tried that app WiFi Manager but it's still the same. Minutes ago I was next to another building with good signal and again, the same problem.

On top of that now I got another problem with USSD codes when I try to check bandwidth and credit. I get "Connection problem or invalid MMI code" ugh..

check your apps maybe some:are blocking it.or maybe the wifi is portal blocked?

So I just succesfully connected to my current school's router and the web is accessable and downloading is just perfect. That sure is a relief that it's not a problem of my phone.
Gonna try checking the static IP address option later on the other school.
im trying to use wifi tether router on my newly rooting moto g6 play but when i press enable it says wait forever whats wrong with it?
Try changing the interface to wlan1. That's what I had to do on my non-play edition.

ok new problem i tried testing it it goes thru now but other phones cant detect it for some reason it doesnt show up on other wifi devices

Tick the box that keeps WiFi active instead of disabling. See if that works. It's a common fix for the problem you described.

That's all I know to do. At this point my suggestion is to email the developer. I've read he's responsive and very good at getting you up and running with the app.
