[Q] Folding smart case with secure closing cover? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Accessories

I'm looking for a thin light attractive folding smart case for mt G10.1
Ive narrowed it down to 2 but I am open to others.
some of the things I am looking for..
Hard case back. and the ability to prop it at a slight angle for typing on a desktop or 45 ish degree for watching movies ect.
well protected edges
also the ability to prop it with the tablet upside down so i can use the Dock connecter for USB/Memory cards
the 2 that fit the bill are the Samsung hard case and the Ebay Smart covers.
I really Like the looks of the official Samsung case & the way it shuts securely though I am not sure how the areas it bends at will hold up over time, especially at the price they go for. It also doesn't seem like its very stable when propped up on a desk at a slight angle ( for typing )

The alternative are the Ebay smart covers with a hard back.
not really fond of the color schemes they come in but they arent bad. the price is good, I like the way it props up but I dont know if Ive seen any with a cover that shuts securely. Does anyone know of any ?

I have this one from Amazon and it has held up fine for the last 4 months...

I don't know if it meets all your criteria, but the price is good, the quality is very good, and it works.

The ebay one doesn't, I have one and the cover just flaps around but at the price it is what would you expect? The covers magnetic for creating a triangle for upright viewing but doesn't hold itself against the screen when covering it.

Thanks. Mine just showed up today. fits nice and snug. all the cut outs are where needed. I like everything other than it not closing securely, but as you said for the $ its still a good deal.
Im sure I can come up with something. I just need to make sure it looks nice and not slopped on

[Q] HTC Elf, Fake Leather Cases and Magnets.. O.o Help?

That subject line sounds almost kinky... Lol. Anyway, before I get off-topic, I just got a cover for my Elf from eBay. Unfortunately, it isn't the best quality, but for what I paid ($9.99 excl postage) it was definitely worth it. With currency conversion and shipping to SA, it came to about R120 where as a local equivalent would be close to R300.....
Anyway, the front flap folds down, hinged at the bottom behind the USB connector, and with a clip that goes over the top of the speaker and over to the back. The clip, however, is not in the right place and so it's very tight. I don't have a camera handy, but here is an image of what the cover looks like:

(please excuse the 'eWWT' name on it, this image is from an eBay listing by Easy World Wide Trading)
I'm thinking about trying to remove the clip that goes over the top in favour of having either two small magnets or two small pieces of velcro to hold the flap shut. Only thing is, either way it would need to go on the front above the screen, one in each corner.
What I'd like to know is this, are those small magnetic pads on the belt pouches (where you must remove the device to use it) strong enough to cause a problem being that close to the device all the time? Another thing to keep in mind is I only have one arm thanks to a motorbike accident, so having a tight clip around the back makes things difficult..
I have a similar Leather case even I would like to know whether the magnet at the back side cause any battery drain or harm the speakers anything..pls Reply
The price is attractive, but the outlook and the design looks outdated

Lol.. Leooooooo, this is a rather old thread... In the end I just cut the flap off and I use it like that. May be considered an 'outdated design', but it's practical and I like it. Still using the same pouch today and I'm happy with it.

I think I found the perfect stand!

http://placewiz.com/Stand.php
Just got it set up with my GT 10.1. The beauty of the stand is the fact that I can have my Samsung Book Cover Case installed on the tab, have the charging cable plugged into the bottom of the tab, and have the tablet on the stand with the volume controls and 3.5 jack on the top. Almost every stand I have found did not have enough room for the connector to be installed while placed on the stand, but this one fixed that for me, at a grand total of $10 on ebay!

Galaxy Tab with stand, charging.
wow that is so awesome!
seems nice... how sturdy is it? did you try any other stands or was this the first one you got?
personally I dont need the ability to charge it while on the stand, so sturdiness is the name of the game for me, so i've been thinking about the Arkon but maybe this is even better... just curious if you tried the Arkon out also?
Regarding how sturdy it is... for me, it's perfectly fine. The problem I found is I keep my desk clean with pledge, which makes the surface too slippery and the stand itself doesn't have any way to grip. I think I will just stop down at the local hobby store and find some sort of rubber strip I can put on the feet of the stand to have it stop sliding. Besides that, I only get a minor wobble when tapping the screen, but only at the top, and only if I press abnormally hard. For $10 you can't beat it.
nice 10char
Just bought one.
That looks really nice.

I have the Arkon, it's very sturdy, very adjustable. It's made of some sort of hard plastic/polymer, with foam cushion layer on the bottom so it doesn't slide and where it touches the tablet. The only issue is the tablet sits too low for the charge connector in landscape mode.
lol, it is a rabbit

Just received my Otterbox Commuter

It's really nice except for one thing, the button covers make them really mushy. There's almost no tactile feedback to pressing the buttons (volume rocker or power) It's not a deal breaker but it's pretty disappointing. Also, if anyone was wondering there's no cut out for the 3 pin connector but it's not like anyone expects docks to work with cases anyway.
I'm debating whether it's worth it for me to go to the VZW store and check out the Defender.

I agree on all the negative points (really hate the buttons) and have to add that the rubber flaps that cover the Micro USB and headphone jack, while a nice gesture, is more trouble than anything. I don't like having to keep plugging the holes and if you leave it unplugged, it just hangs loose and looks weird. It seems like they really didn't want any holes at all on the sides which is why the 3 pin connector is blocked as well.
Noting that, however, it looks slick as a result. Very nice back design and fully black all around -- it's a solid case in it's look and feel.
pictures or you don't have it. ;-)
The only camera I have right now is my Nexus so this is the case obviously without my phone in it. Trying to show the thickness by comparing it to an Xbox 360 game case.

And I have to agree the back is really nice with the brushed finish and it's pretty much fingerprint proof. The plug ports are a little annoying but I'm not sweating it.

Universal Alumium Desk Stand

I was searching for appropriate desk stand/dock for my HTC One, but all I found were mostly generic plactic cheap looking docks and stands, which weren't suitable for gorgeous design HTC have come up with. I finally came across desk stand, which would match perfectly with my silver HTC One. I bought it for inexpensive 11.99 € + 4.49 € (shipping cost) on Mobilefun.co.uk .

The stand itself is made out of aluminum. It looks great with HTC One. The second part is special grippy pad, which is made out of plastic and special grippy material. Because of high coefficient of friction the phone is held still and doesn't move an inch even if you shake the stand. Outstanding .
I was a bit worried if the contact area will be big enough because HTC One features slightly curved back. No problem there - phone is held securely . To prevent scratching your desk or whichever surface you want to use your stand on, there is some sort of foam underneath.
Phone can be used when it is held by the stand (portrait or landscape), there is no danger of flippig over . In the future I plan to buy 38 mm NTAG203 NFC chip (I will stick it to the back of the grippy pad ) so the phone will recognize when it is docked - it will change my sound profile, connect to my home wifi network etc.
There are some pictures for better presentation.
If you have some questions feel free to ask .
Looks like an accident waiting to happen. Dog bumps night stand etc.... and down the stand goes along with the ONE.
Looks to topsy, tipsy, with such a small base on stand.
impressive. might pic this us to have next to my computer. would u mind attaching a charging cable so i can see how it looks?

I am always horrified when it comes to water and phones; the two should never mingle. At the beach one day, I noticed the clear aqua blue water for miles and wanted to capture this breath-taking view from in the water under but I know I would need an expensive underwater camera to do so. I order this product specifically because of the overwhelming response of positive reviews. My experience yet so far this week has been nothing short of awesome. This is perfect for taking pictures underwater, while snorkeling. I was worried that having the screen would mess up the responsiveness of the touch screen but there were no issues at all. I'm just happy I don't have to bring a separate waterproof camera. Great buy!
Materials: High quality construction, everything feels very durable and has a nice weight without feeling cheap or heavy. I was also happy that there was no strong or strange smell on the product as many of the newer things I buy end up needing to be aired out.
Pro's
- I've submerged my phone in the bathroom sink for a few minutes taking pictures and shooting videos.
- I've showered with it and yet to see a single drop of water inside the case when the iPhone was removed.
- The touch screen in the front and the camera in the back were all accessible while in the case.
Con's
- The only thing i wish it had was access to the top and side buttons. They can still be pressed so it doesn't really bother me much.
- It would be great if it came in a completely clear plastic, to allow for more visual support.
I also have found a deal for this waterproof case at http://deals.kinja.com/, now the price is only 6,99 $ with code: NZG26DKJ
Details: http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Waterproof-Case-Motorola-diagonal/dp/B01CSH93UK/
I had intended to buy a waterproof case JOTO, but when i see this post,i change my mind. A waterproof case Turata at 6.99USD and 7.99USD for JOJO, there is no big difference in terms of functionality. So why not choose one more cheaper. @Glaxaymixc, thanks for sharing this good deals.
Yeah, of course. so i choosed the cheaper one, but it is also very good.
