Ignore button in incoming call WHITE - Solved - Windows Phone 7 General

I don't know what caused this but when a call is incoming, the ignore button is totally white while the answer button is normal as it should be.
Any idea what might have caused this?

Have you applied a custom theme? Try changing your theme to the default theme.

the theme is default.
Can the installation of root tools have something to do with that?

This also happened to me, affecting lockscreen numbers too. I'm going to look look into the registry later as I think it's probably just caused by root tools or a custom theme accidentally changing one of the button color codes to #000000. I'll post my findings later.
Sent from my LG-C900B using XDA Windows Phone 7 App

it is happened to me too some time ago (before install root tools 0.9)
when i managed custom themes with metro themes or other homebrew registry hack (ie advanced config or mods for black mails layout) for theming the accent colors
reinstall metrothemes and try to apply default theme to black background and white background also and restart phone (remember to apply black layout to black themes and white to whote themes)
hope you fix, i have fixed my white ignore button with this method

it is due to changing the registry entries of theme/0 or theme/1 folder, chromecolor or an another entry, i have the same issue and get it back with all the stock settings. or you have copied some xaml files to the windows/ folder of your device that changed the registry edits for you, if they are still in the windows folder you must delete them, but you also must delete the custom accent of that xaml that you delete.

I was using the app Metro theme or something like that, homebrew. Reverting to the stock worked.

Thanks.. I reset to default and it works again. Strange as I swear I've done that many times already. Cheers

metro sytle or something? i know, it changes the background but also some other parts and if only one xaml file dont work like it should then some thing mess up the phone icon in call history as example, or the call ending button during call, or the status bar, or the icons of each letter in the people hub. and so on, if you want to change some things you must know which registry entry is for what, and you must know before you change it how it is gonna look use photoshop or some similar program that lets you compare colors, you can paste there your color code from the xaml files, and look if it is the right choice, then simply switch in registry, but only if you are sure what you change

Modified Icons for Kaiser Home Plugin

Hello all,
You may have seen my earlier thread with the modified color clock digits for the HTC Home Plugin. Well, I just can't leave well enough alone! This started off as JUVS color version of the Kaiser Home Plugin. I took some of the icons from JUVS version and some from Schaps. Then I made the 'unselected' ones dark and lit up the selected one with a bright spotlight. I also changed the house colors a bit and turned it to face the other side. Just didn't seem right with a blue roof . I like it better now and I hope you do too, see screenshots attached.
To install:
First install JUVS Kaiser Home Plugin, color version, see the CAB file later in this thread. Then go in and make sure the plugin is unchecked in Settings, Today, Items. Make a backup of the HH_FW*.* and HH_HOME*.* files in your Windows folder for safe keeping. Then copy the contents of the ZIP file attached to the Windows folder on your device (not the zip itself, extract the contents) replacing the same-named files. Reselect the plugin and take it for a spin. Love it? Good! Hate it? Restore the original set of icons and associated files or reinstall.
By the way, the colored clock digits I made for the original HTC plugin work perfectly here too. Copy them over the same way if you like. You can find them in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=314510
And, that reminds me, I figured out the bezel issue affecting some of the icons in the files I put out for the original HTC Home Plugin. For those who were bugged by that issue I am attaching a bezel fix ZIP file that will correct the issue and leave a nice transparent icon background in keeping with the them of that set of files. You could use this fix on this Kaiser version as well and it will remove the spotlight from the selected item without affecting the colors and brightness/darkness differentiating selected and unselected. You just have to see it to see if you like it.
Is this for Hermes or Kaiser? This is posted in the Hermes WM6 forum.
Yes!
This applies for both actually, but I'm using it on a HERMES, running the Kaiser HTC Home Plugin. See the 5 tabs instead of 3? If you want it, look for JUVS version in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316107
gmgonzal, great work again! Thanks!!!
i'm trying to copy over the files in vista but i can't seem to... do i need to do this via the phone?
nevermind, stupid vista won't let you extract from an explorer view of a zip file
so the spotlight for each tab seems to show the old black/white icon when it is selected... going to try to recopy the files again.
That's because...

This is meant as a mod for the JUVS color version of the Kaiser Home Plugin. It brings the color icons that you are missing. You should install that first, then copy these icons over. I'm including the CAB file here in case others need it also...
do you know if this has the fixes included in the version posted on pg 6 of the original thread? thanks!
works well now. was wondering if you could do the spotlight with a transparent backgd instead of the gray? looks better with the default ATT them. thanks!
Here you go

I guess I could , I wanted to do that next myself, it takes more effort to clean up the graphics for that. Check back...
This is great, thanks! Removing the bevel was part of the things I wnated to change about this plugin. What I would really love to be able to do now is completely remove the useless highlight that appears over the icons when they are selected - is this possible?
edit: just to be clear from the post above ... the highlight I mean is not contained in the images, I mean the OS highlight that appears over the images themselves when selected.
Also, for me personally, it would be great to be able to change the colour of the font used - if I change the colour of the clock images, then the font stay white which looks inconsistent to my fussy brain!
Thanks for any help with the highlight thing though.
good work, works well ! thank you!
I know what you mean

That highlight pi$$es me off too, what I always wanted to do was have the icons in greyscale and then make them bright color when selected, with no highlight around them. But that highlight seems to be built into the code. As far as the text color, Zoharbl said in my previous thread that you can change the text color for each Today screen item with a program called Today Agenda, but I haven't tried it to see if it works on the text on the top of the HTC Plugin. Here's a link if you want to try it:

How to get HTC's official WM6 but *without* the HTC green theme

Hi folks,
My device is off being repaired to cure the screen alignment issue but while I am waiting for it to return I was wondering if there was a way to stop the HTC green theme being applied to the device after I do a hard reset?
I would like just the plain WM6 default theme.
I have read about this thing called ExtROM, which is where the operator install files are hidden? So this is where the evil green theme lives until it gets installed?
Can anyone tell me if this is possible?
FYI I have a generic HTC, sim-unlocked TyTN.
Thanks,
gambcl
Um well you can do a search on google and find millions of PPC themes the green theme is just the default one set by the Preconfig.txt WM6 also comes installed with a blue theme and a red theme BTW they are called .tsk files
Umm, yes I know about .tsk files, but they do not get rid of the HTC green skin on the dialer, pin screen, etc. do they?
I was thinking the cleanest solution was to just stop the HTC green from ever being applied in the first place by maybe deleting the relevant install files from the ExtRom and then doing a hard reset.
Does anyone know if this is possible? I've never touched the ExtRom before, I know I have to unlock it and I can read about that, but what exactly would I do after I have unlocked it?
Thanks,
gambcl.

For the screen commmanager try disable this file in extended: Green_Commger.CAB.
For the dialer take a look at ZombieNexus dialpad. I use one 3G dialer to subst the green one in HTC.
For the pin pad, try one of the CABs in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321733 Youll have a black touch pinpad after install one of them, and of course the battery icon with detailed info
Hopes this helps.
This is exactly what I would like to know too. How to disable the green theme to load after hard reset.
I like the base blue theme, but that green theme changes the dialers etc.
Don't want other themes to replace them. Just to disable it not to load after hardreset.
I see that it loads a xml file that was named based on the theme, I just don't remember it atm. maybe I'll just have to fiddle with the extrom.
If anyone already has a working solution, please post it

Sorry, but the gree colors in pinpad is caused by a DLL in the ROM, not by some CAB installed after the HR. So you can only chage this changing this DLL.
About the DialPad, well, seemed as before, but with a lot of graphics files. You need a theme to change the green color and bottons (graphics files). Can't disable after HR. Only you can disable the default skin in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin making Enabled parameter to "0"
but you loos the 3G dial and SmartDialing. If you have 0 by default in this parameter, then you can't do more.
The only one i could disable is Green Commanager in the extended.
The other way to customize all this is, of course, cooking your own ROM
Regards.

Homescreen Questions

Using sliding panels NRG Topbar on 6.5 NRG. I want to customize a couple of things if someone could help me that would be great...
1) Carrier text
I have tmobile and it says "Get More..." for the carrier at the top of the clock. Can I change this to custom text?
2) I'd like to change the panels to a blue color instead of transparent; I've seen screenshots with this.
3) I'd like to change the font of the clock.
I've done 1 and 2 before on 6.1 but I did not back it up and I can't remember how I did it... I think it used MortScript but I'm not sure....
I did my best to search the forums but I couldn't find a solution to my problem! Sorry if this is a repeat!
Thanks.

Hey...all of it looks DO-ABLE, not necessarily Easy, but DO-ABLE.
For #1, I believe that the Carrier text is located in a res.dll or other dll file...so that is a toughie, but I dont know how to change the carrier names exactly. If you really want to, go into the CPR file and COMMENT OUT (using <-- and -->) the part that deals with the text for the carrier name...then replace it with a new piece of XML, practcally the EXACT SAME except, name it a different ID (like Text2) or something. Then go into the registry (HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Chome/CClock) and add a string there...make its name the same as in the CPR, and make its Value TMOBILE....THAT SHOULD WORK, but I am no expert at that, so MAKE SURE TO BACKUP!!!!
For #2 TO make the panels Blue, you are going to have to get BronzeRes.dll from the Windows Directory, open it with PE Explorer or similar DLL resource editing tool. Then replace the resource that is the transparent panel background with one of your liking...there may be premade ones out there already, I am not sure...but searching may help (although you have already searched)...
For #3 I think..EMPHASIS ON I THINK... you need to take your own font that you want, put it along with the other fonts (in the Windows Directory)...somehow you have to sign it for the Device (that I don't know) so that it will recognize its existance, then you have to edit the CPR file...so that where it has the TEXT data for the TIME, you edit the name of the Font Class corresponding to your font, and how it is registered to the phone....
For all of these solutions, i am pretty sure they SHOULD work, but then again, i am no expert with this phone (yet)...but good luck...remember to modify with SAFETY (backup backup backup!!!)
everything that your asking can be done right from your .cpr. lots of people have asked the same thing be for, it's just the matter of typing just the right words into the search engine. try looking at this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=529838
as for the carrier name, that's a little odd that it won't display the right one. maybe try "connection setup" to see if that helps.

Black Color Coding for Theme Accent and App Issues

All:
Now having Interop Unlock on my phone and messing with making Black Accent Colors for my Theme, I found an interesting issue that may be of help to others. I have not seen this mentioned elsewhere but have seen people mention weird things when making accent changes.
I am using Schapman's Advanced Configuration Tool to make accent color changes and the first one I chose was black (FF000000). Looked great! Went about doing things and found some apps working weird (hmm, maybe the ACT screwed something up). One big issue was email; I could no longer reply, forward, nothing (weird and NOT good!!!)
So I changed to any other existing theme color; works...well, the ACT must be doing something wrong. So went back to a backup without ACT and did a straight Reg edit to make Black for accent color (again, FF000000). Okay, worked. Now tried email again - does NOT work!
Now I'm thinking; maybe some apps have an issue with an all 0's coded Black due to logic coding errors in the program, so I entered FF010101. Everything works!
I reinstalled Schapman's ACT and instead of using his Black (FF000000) I entered FF010101 and all is good.
So, if anyone is using a program or doing a reg edit that sets a pure Black for an accent color and then sees their apps or something not working try making it FF010101. Hopefully this info maybe of use to someone. Took me awhile to find this...

[REQ] White settings theme

Hello all, you may be familiar with how the GS4 has a white background in Settings and other options with black/dark grey font. I've been trying to find a GS3 theme that'll work on our sprint phones but had no luck. Would it be hard to make a theme like this for our Sprint S3s?
The color seems pretty simple. But the text, I have no experience with so Idk. As for the settings background, just gotta find the apk (don't remember which it is. But just find the background, invert, place it back In the apk and then put it into the location and rename the original with a . Bak and then place the new one there and set correct permissions then restart.

Well actually, Touchwiz by default pulls a black background if there's no universal background image in the framework-res's nodpi folder. You can simply add a white background and name it correctly to have it enabled. The problem is, enabling the inverted text here. I'm sure there's values all over the TW framework that overlap (for example, Touchwiz may have a TW_Color_001, TW_Color_002, etc. with each hex value used to determine text values. In settings, it may be TW_Color_002 for headers/sub headers, but it may also call upon that value in for example, the messaging app. If we were to invert the TW_Color_002 from #FFFFFFFF to #FF000000, then it will fix the Settings, but then the Messaging app will have black on black. The solution is to make the Settings app completely indepedent of TWFramework values by individually setting it's own values across the system. This is what would make doing such a task tedious and time consuming. If you're willing to try it, you can decompile SecSettings.apk from your ROM of choice, manually adjust all of the text HEX values from #FFFFFFFF to #FF000000. We'd also have to call upon it's own background image so it doesn't affect all apps.

Its more simple than you think... all those codes, are just colors lol.. open an image editing program.. #000000 if black #FFFFFF is white, 00FF00 is bright lime green, etc.
