3D - precompiled
CAMERA - precompiled
means it works?
FM is in both "FIXED" and "WORK IN PROGRESS" and says precompiled as well, so I'm bit confused.
And what about BRAVIA Sync (HDMI-CEC) support? Will it be included in HDMI support?
Anyway, good to hear that it's finally happening.
PS. Any way to revert to stock? PC Companion will do it?

One more thing. Can you add {S} into thread name?
XDA app does not show forum tree for subscribed threads, so it's gonna be more clear.

1) Yes precompiled listings are working if not stated otherwise.
2) Bravia engine wont be included as is Sony software. This is pure custom rom except for a few supported hardware add-on's (live view for example)
3) Flashtool will get you back to stock Sony FW. If you unlock your bootloader you will have to flash stock FW with flashtool if want no issues.
4) Have added Xperia S to title to make easier for people
5)

There's a CM9 already?! Sold as my next phone!

For Bravia he meant the HDMI launcher thing, as far as I got it.
And it's possible to add Bravia Engine as a add on or something like that?

Yeah there will be a few add-on's. I have already got a Playstation update zip ready to try out as that too will not be included in the main release's. If he is talking about that TV launcher would love to see a Cyanogen version if they had time.

I meant Bravia Sync, which is Sony's name for HDMI-CEC. It let's you control phone with Sony TV remote via HDMI connection. It works in stock ROM on Xperia S (as well as it works for most of Sony products). Other companies use different names for that. Check wiki page if you want more details. I'm not sure if it's standardised and works for between equipment of different producers.

It won't be included as will be based on Sony framework not cyanogen I expect to see only basic HDMI functionality included in there roms if they get it working. So for this you will have to wait for a talented dev. Or stick with stock

Ok. I got it. And, BTW, Samsung (which is my TV Brand (in my house there is a brand for each tipe of device)) calls it Anynet+.

It's nothing that important to resign from cyanogen.
It's just very nice feature, that let's you connect phone to TV with HDMI, sit back in your couch with TV remote, and... do actually everything with your phone that doesn't involve keyboard use (like browsing photos, playing music and videos, etc).
What about Sony support? Maybe it's not that hard to implement with their help, and someday it will appear in FXP.

If you're still on stock ROM, you may check if it works between different brands.
I'm just curious. Connect phone to TV via HDMI, and try arrow buttons on your TV remote. It should let you move between icons (with highlight), and OK button (or whichever is in the middle between arrows on your remote) will work as pressing highlighted icon.
It's nice that it works also with universal remotes like Logitech Harmony One.

My phone is coming on early May. My TV is a Samsung 32' LED Serie 5. I'm pretty sure it will work, because it have those 4 colored buttons, and my Home Theater is Samsung too, and when both are on, one can control the other. I wish someone with a Samsung TV could tell me if worked, but I only see Bravia owners (Sony products in Brazil are very expensive).

I understand it works with Sony phone connected to Toshiba TV? That's very good information. It means there is standard for that. If it depends on CM framework, and it's common for all manufacturers, there is a chance that CM devs will include it someday. I just wonder how much it's hardware dependent (how much HDMI chip has to support it, and hiw common is HDMI-CMC support in phones). More phones will be able to do that - faster it will appear in CM. All in all CM is for other brands, like samsung, too.

This is an Android Jellybean 4.2.2 ROM, based on the sources of CyanogenMod10!
I used this ROM on my old Captivate and LOVED it. But I recently got an SGS2 and no Hellybean. So I had to port it for my device.
I then ported it for my friend to use on his d2tmo, and I decided to share it with you all.
All Credits and any Thanks or Donations go to DerTeufel1980 as Hellybean is his baby. (And not the only one, congrats on becoming a daddy.) Allot of this OP is copied direct from his page. And Cyanogen as well, I used his Excellent nightly as base.
Please do not ask in their respective threads for support.
Differences to cm10.1:
- facebook sync integrated
- option to enable high end gfx effects, on lower end devices
- possibility to disable high end gfx effects, on higher end devices
- possibility to activate and customize navigation bar (color of background, glow effect, transparency)
- possibility to customize statusbar (color of background, transparency)
- transparent lockscreen (taken from paranoid android, coded by jesus david)
- edge swipe navigation (ported from sgt7)
- ability to enable tablet_ui (ported from aokp)
- kill-all button at recents panel (ported from aokp)
- task manger button at recents panel (this needs os monitor to be installed, otherwise nothing happens...still wip)
- customizable long-press-back-kill timeout (from 500ms to 3000ms)
- option to use sense4 recents panel --- May be removed?
- pdroid patched, if app installed, reachable at: settings --> system --> security
- added the possibility to search for contacts by nick or company name (with dialpad T9, has to be activated at dialpad settings), cherry-picked from AOKP
- and much more.
BUGS
- None.
- You tell me?

Hell YEAH.
Nice work mate
Thanks for all the fast input. Camera fix is in OP.
I am trying to keep it as stock Hellybean as possible, and I don't have this device. Which makes this all that much easier. Was porting it for a friend because I love the ROM so much. I added my wallpaper to the 0404 build hope you don't hate it to much
Here screenies of Quicktiles he added today/yesturday.
Next release I'll compile CM10.1 base from source. I already compile Toro, and Hercules, whats one more. Hellybean usually updates every week to 10 days, sometimes more sometimes less. I hope you all like this Port and we can fix any glitches together as I do not own a SGS3. The Bluetooth has me stumped. It's is broken in my Hercules port as well. In base CM10.1 Bluetooth is fine...I don't use BT but I know allot of people do, so hopefully someone here will have an idea for a fix.

I noticed that BT is borked for all CM10.1 (4.2.2) roms in one fashion or another (either BT media doesn't work right or I've had BT Calls just hang up the entire ROM until you shut the handsfree device off). I've seen this behavior in multiple CM10.1 ports for the T999, sadly. You mention this (BT) works fine in CM10.1 base? Are there any known ports of the same that carry this working functionality over?
Great ROM, btw!

Well CM10.1 Nightly BT is fine for hercules, and toro. Well at least for what little I have used it. ADB connect to laptop etc. And thanks glad you like it. Going to try a fix for BT later will post it and need a Guinea Pig try. But thats hours away.

Means I messed something up lol. I think I know what I did. I need to get myself an SGS3 would make this allot more fun and easier. I will look into it and post a fixed one tomorrow. The idea I had to fix BT was a bad one. Running on too little sleep ATM but I am off and will deal with it when I wake up today.
I woke up and noticed Hellybean had another new release. I ported it over left camera fix in, That popup message should be gone. I do not have the ability to test so please someone let me know.
I just put a d2spr port in OP maybe it will fix BT. Again, please let me know. Any feedback is helpful, good, bad, ugly...
Thank you
I removed the older ports. I was told newest port has working Bluetooth. Let me know if anything else is wrong please and thank you.
I guess no news is good news??
Well more than a few have download it, some must have flashed. What are your thoughts? How is it running on the d2tmo? Speed, smoothness, any problems so far? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Not sure what I did wrong maybe used a base that was a bit older or newer than the ports, never seen it with my sgs2 port that I run as a DD. I believe the 4/6 doesn't have that issue. Not 100% sure on that since I don't own a SGS3 to try it.

Is that happening on the port I posted 4/6? If so, is everyone having this issue? You 2 are the only real feedback I have seen here.
Curious to those running it how is the speed and smoothness in comparison to other 4.2.2 ROM's/Ports? It just fly's on my SGS2.
3+ days: zero pop up, no single FC, stable, excellent GPS lock, getting Google voice MMS via Gmail,
Nice work!
Ok, I have a couple questions.. This SGS3 forum is not at all like the SGS2 which can be a little crazy at times. I can see how many have downloaded my port, which is quite a few, but I really haven't gotten much input. Do you all like it? Are enough of you using this to make it worth my time to port a Hellybean update? I mean porting is not hard to do, and does not take that much time. But its hard to judge if I am just wasting my time here.
Thanks
No I dont think your wasting your time you have me right. Jk but either of the case thanks for your work bud its greatly appreacated so dont worry no news is good news look at baked its hardly got any thing in it so dont fret k

I just sat and listen to a couple tunes using the stock player and through my headphones that came with my S2 and it sounds pretty good to me.
One thing I have always noticed about MP3's is that they do not sound as good as a original.
What player and headphones are you using?

Hey, amazing ROM!! However I just have one issue though..
Some of my apps keep freezing for some reason. For example, my contacts app. If i quickly scroll down my list of contacts.. the app freezes on me. Also, the game 'Blitz Brigade' doesn't work either.. wondering if this is happening to anyone else..

Ah, car stereo. Are you using bluetooth or 3.5mm cable?, check and make sure the cable isnt faulty if you are using one. Somtimes if you use a cheap 3.5mm cables they tend to crap out after awhile.

Hey no problem, Maybe a reflash will help. I am just not experiencing any issues with apps
freezing up.
Yeah I thought that might be the issue. I replaced my belkin flat cable with another, still Meh quality (poor bass and volume). Any cables you prefer or recommend?
I don't think it's the rom, but different roms had different audio results on my S3 so I figured I'd ask.

I usually use the usb input on my deck in my jeep to listen to music, If you have time try another music app from the store and see if you get the same results. The rom has two music effects: musicFX and dsp manager, try flipping back and forth between the two and see if sound quality inproves.

Can this be flashed over DarthStalker X2?
Galaxy S3, DarthStalker ROM & Kinetic Pulse Kernel.. Perfection.
Just flashed to my T999 running the T999L system and its working fine. So it should work on the actual T999L too.
Things definitely appear brighter. Very vivid colors. Bordering too vivid imo, but it does seem to make for a sharper image which is nice. Ill try it for a while to give it a fair chance though.
Also it may just be the placebo effect but the screen brightness seems higher too. At lowest level it seems brighter than before, not positive though. You know how it can be!
I do have a couple of questions if I may.
First, why the super extensive fix permissions script? It took twice as long to "fix permissions" than it does to flash a full rom. I would think you'd only need to set perms for files flashed and maybe some that are used by the mod. Assuming this, it should only take a second or two.
Second, I see in the zip there are several apps such as Facebook, twitter and picassa plugins, and clock, weather and contacts widgets, as well as others. I am just curious why those i just listed are included? In particular, contacts, Facebook and Twitter, but also some others. I just don't see what contacts has to do with Bravia. Or some of the others.
Personally, I don't use most of them and they are not even on my phone. (I ddont use or have Facebook, Twitter or Picasa, so now there are useless plugins that I've just flashed onto my phone) Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to imply anything, just to understand the reasoning. Wouldnt it have been sufficient to just have BE and that's it? (I can understand the Album and media player, and to a lesser extent the launcher, but the stock S3 ones seem just as good).
I don't want to ask too much, but maybe it'd be good to offer the engine separately, and everything else as an optional add-on?
For example, I would personally flash BE, the video player, and maybe the album and that would be all. Just a thought.
Sorry for hitting you with all that at once! All in all it is great work and I do appreciate you bringing it here and sharing it with us.
I think this is something people should try, as they will each have to decide if they like it better for themselves. I do think it could be helpful to some though if you'd consider a BE w/album and player only option.
And for those like me, more information as to what is actually included and why is a big plus! I just really want to know exactly what is being flashed, that goes for every thing I flash!
Thanks for your work man! It is a pretty cool mod! Good job btw!

I set permissions to help insure that everything will run correctly. It does take a while but im willing to let the flashing take longer than for some things not work upon first boot. All the add ons apps are included because of numerous request. Also the screen brightness do appear brighter at low levels and have heard of people complaining about it. The bravia is sum what universal You will see that video quality is much better in the xperia videos and how pictures are sharper in the xperia album and the TW stuff is not as sharp. The bravia also make youtube videos sharper. I will keep this thread updated to improve the overall preformance

Hello fellow MIUIers. This is my take on a Miui port for us Toro owners from the GSM Maguro. This rom is ported straight from the official Xiaomi MIUI V5 build and it's based on android 4.2.2. It has only been modified in ways to make it fully functional. So that means no mods and no apps added or taken away. It also comes odexed. I will continue to update this rom weekly as long as time and life allows. I've been getting up early every Friday morning and porting this for myself for the past few months and I think its time to share it. So let's get to it....
3.12.6 Update Highlights:
Changelog:
MIUI ROM 3.12.6 Full Changelog
[System] (Mi 3)
Fix - When MX Player was playing, zooming would cause screen to flicker (12-3)
Fix - Sometimes China Mobile devices couldn't open Wallet feature (12-3)
[Phone] (Mi 3)
Fix - Some special SIM cards (e.g. cards associated with multiple phone numbers) could not connect to the network (12-3)
[Lock screen, Status bar, and Notification shade] (Mi 3)
Fix - Toggle to connect to the Internet will appear in the Notification shade when user connects to a computer with an Internet connection using Xiaomi Assistant (12-3)
Fix - If phone (with SIM card) was powered off in Airplane mode, when user powered on again "No SIM card" would be displayed in the Status bar (12-5)
[Home screen] (Mi Red TD version)
Fix - User could only view one SIM card (12-3)
[Messaging]
Optimization - When a notification message is "pinned", it will appear at the top of the main list in Notes (12-3)
Fix - When user chose to respond to an incoming call with a Quick response and touched "Compose", app would FC (12-3)
[Downloads]
Optimization - Two items can be downloaded at once (12-5)
Fix - When user changed system language, app would FC (12-4)
[Notes]
Fix - Sometimes the horizontal line shading and images in notes would not be aligned properly (12-3)
[FM Radio]
Optimization - Canceled requirement to connect headphones before user could use Radio (connecting headphones improves performance) (12-3)
[Recorder]
Fix - Fixed a problem that led to app quitting unexpectedly (12-3)
[Security]
Fix - Sometimes virus scan details would display incorrectly (12-4)
[Themes]
New - "My account" tab added on the "My themes" page (12-4)
Fix - Sometimes when user applied a theme immediately after purchasing, app would FC (12-4)
Optimization - Faster discovery for DLNA equipment (12-4)
Optimization - "My videos" list is displayed with the most recent videos at the top (12-4)
Fix - Videos that were hidden, were still displayed in player history (12-2)
Fix - When editing files, user couldn't select the first file in the folder (12-2)
Fix - User couldn't take screen shots when watching some locally stored videos (12-2)
Fix - Sometimes the player history would be saved incorrectly (12-2)
Fix - Sometimes videos couldn't play in full-screen (12-4)
Fix - Sometimes after user quit video app, it would keep running in the background (12-5)
[Weather]
New - New version of weather data module (12-3)
Whats Works:
Everything from my testings
Doesn't Work:
You tell me!
BUGS:
Fonts don't apply when applied through theme chooser. You have to apply fonts using zips in recovery.
3g/1x double bar if out of 4g area. Minor cosmetic issue that would require more work than I feel it's worth.
After reboot you will get 2 notifications:
1. Failed to activate: This is for activating cloud messaging if you choose to. Select cancel if not
2. Reactivate sync: This is for MiCloud syncing. This backs up contacts, sms, pictures, call log, notes and wifi passwords for you.
Extra Info:
Mi market and other chinese apps are still present in rom. I decided to leave them in so that everyone could enjoy MIUI. I'm sure they could be removed using a file explorer if they cause any problems but, for the port they will stay in the rom.
Warning:
You're flashing this at your own risk. I cannot and will not be held responsible for what you do to your phone.
I will provide as much help as I can but please remember, I have a life and a family outside of XDA.
I may have left something out so if I think of anything I will update the thread.
Flashing Instructions:
Flash and set-up MIUI-x.x.x-Xiaomi-toro.zip like you would any other rom. Reboot and flash small gapps.
No need to wipe phone after every release. Just dirty flash rom and gapps again.

It won't install in TWRP, you have to flash it in CWM.
It will install install in twrp. I'm using an older version and my tester is using the latest. This is what he said ....

Mimarket and Gamecenter are considered warez and should be removed from the rom.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't realize that they were warez. I didn't add those in myself because all I do is download the rom and port it for us. I never use those 2 apps to begin with but I will remove them from the next release.
I can't justify putting my users at risk for a couple of apps and it was a honest mistake.
As a matter of fact, it's bothering me now so I'm gonna take them and a couple more chinese apps out and reupload the rom.
I apologize for any problems that came from this.
How's it running for you guys? Nobody is giving any feedback

Ok as much as I didn't want to do it, I'm uploading a version with all of the apps that are considered warez by xda and the apps that we can't use anyway. So the rom is slimmed down quite a bit. I'll post link in op as soon as update is finished. Sorry if this caused issues for anyone.
Removing the thread
I've made the decision to remove the rom from xda. Since I can't please everybody and its not going in the direction I had planned, I'm gonna continue to port the rom the way that I have been and leave it up to everyone whether they choose to run it or not. In order to comply with xda rules and to continue on with the way that I had planned for it to go, I will be posting the links to the weekly updates on g+. If you're still interested, here's the link to the g+ community and you can add me from there.

S5 themed Android L Keyboard by @kevin_1351: (soon to be fully working)
So, what's all this about?:
After more than 3 weeks of hard work we're finally ready to present you the brand new v17 version. Now with an amazing Aroma installer that, based on your device model, installs the right fixes to make it fully working with your particular Note 3. You can also, if you're using the international Note 3, select from many of the leading kernels out there and much much more. We've also managed to get it even a little bit ram friendlier and have removed many UI errors and annoyances.
But no, we aren't finished yet my friends. We have also included a fully integrated OTA update system that will notify you in case there are some updates (to be found in Settings). Also in Settings there is now - assuming you've installed Xposed Framework- an Xposed button integrated into settings. And right now you're about to ask: "Well, what about Appops?". Well that's there too!
We've tested it for a long time now but if you manage to find some bugs don't even bother to post them here before you have:
A.Used the provided logcat app to gather the log.
B. Searched if someone else already has mentioned it.
ALSO:Please state if you have performed a full-wipe aswell every time you report a problem. And for ota flashing issues use TWRP.
What variants does this rom work on?
N9005, N900T and N900W8
What's missing/Not working?
Bluetooth tethering (?)
Video calling (probably will get fixed, can't promise it)
Display mirroring (update: Well it seems that out provided fix didn't fix it... We'll work on it)
Direct pen input/Writingbuddy (needs major smali editing, would be easier once a new note device comes out)
Wifi-timer(coming soon with ota)
Multilanguage (will also be available as a separate post-installer really soon)
Fully functional S5 themed google keyboard (coming soon)
Download booster/Wificalling toggle (coming soon)
Private mode (won't work because it's deodexed)
ART (same)
Important notes:
Regarding gps problems when returning to normal rom:

Regarding the THEMED Google Keyboard:
This is a problem due to apktool. After being recompiled it ceases to function at 100%. @kevin_1351 is trying to fix it once and for all. For now you will have to either use the stock one. Or try to tap on a textfield somewhere until the forceclose messages don't come up anymore. Once they aren't showing up anymore, they will NEVER come back and the keyboard will be fully working. This WILL be fixed via an OTA update.
Before we provide our existing fix for wifi. Please update the bootloader to the newest NF4 one. (Of course I'm talking about the one for note 3, NOT the S5)
About Xposed Framework:
Please DO NOT recover Xposed from a backup OR install it in any other way! It's already included in Aroma. IF you install it you will end up with two apks! This is because the provided Xposed apk is modded to not show it's icon. The icon as stated above, is now integrated in Settings.
Regarding the time sync delay:
This isn't our fault. To fix it, go to Settings>Lockscreen and set Dual-clock to OFF. That will "fix" it. For any further complaints about this. Go to Samsung.com
Regarding "wifi is not working" issues:
Update your bootloader to NF4 via ODIN. Google it if you don't know how to perform this task.
Regarding the themes app forceclosing:
If you HAVE NOT selected any themes at all in aroma. It will forceclose. In the new aroma I will make sure that "themes" doesn't even get installed if don't select any.
Regarding random reboots:
This isn't really our fault either. It's a kernel issue. Flash the stock kernel. Most people like @kevin_1351 doesn't have this issue at all with any kernel whatsoever. But some may have them. Now you know.
OTA updates:
Yes, this ROM provides you with OTA updates, you'll find it in Settings. We initially had problems with this because we were using DropBox. Now @cdmvirt has provided dedicated servers to fix it once and for all. He has payed for this out of his own pocket's (for the most part) so please show him some appreciation.
For all issues regarding flashing OTA updates, be sure that you're using the TWRP recovery (v2.7.2.1 or newer). We will not provide support for the other recoveries (although in the most cases you can manually flash it by navigating to OTA folder).
For N900T and N900W8 owners, TWRP has not update their recovery to 2.7.2.1 yet so we are stuck with 2.7.2.0 and 2.7.1.2 respectively, please flash OTA manual until they upgrade for our devices. It's not our fault and no way around it.
For issues regarding the OTA download: please delete the OTA folder first and try again.
Live-support:
Sadly XDA doesn't provide us with any chat system, which we really would love to see in the future btw. Therefore @cdmvirt has integrated a chat system in order for you to get live support from either us or other users. Follow the download link to get there.
Possible future additions:
Optional battery themes
Autocallrecording
Aroma installer that remembers your last choices
More air-command themes
Android L apps (LPV81C) the newest released versions of the Google apps.
So with that being said, here we proudly present:

Questions and concerns: All Q&A can be posted HERE. If you want your questions answered post on the Q&A. Also DO NOT post your questions and concerns on this thread PLEASE USE THE Q&A THREAD.
Please take an extra note: Although this IS STATED in the aroma installer. Some users simply do not want to follow it. You have so perform a fullwipe (included in aroma) to make this ROM fully work. Please do not, as some users already have, waste our time with errors that could have been avoided by following our instructions. A fullwipe is only needed once, and won't be needed with the coming OTA updates.

Donations:
None of us are into this for the money. But we've got server costs (for the OTA dedicated server) to pay for and we really have spent countless hours on this. This simply is a fact. It's not a simple task to do what Samsung should have done at our place. It requires weeks of studying, trial and error and lots of coffee. We do this for fun and for the challenge that comes with it. But it goes without saying that we also would like some appreciation for our work. Either by just a thanks or by a small donation. As for everyone saying that they're too poor and/or are students. Well 1$ is nothing and if you own a Note in the first place you should be able to spend 1$ more dollar on this aswell. Some of us are students too, so we know what we're talking about. But hey, this is XDA. You're free to use it without paying a cent, but at least try to show some appreciation for it.
EDIT: As of now more than 600 people using our ROM.
