Nice work Doom. Any chance you could enlighten us to any news about the boot-loader bug. Jerp said there was an issue with it then FXP stated on there thread there was no boot-loader bug. As this is your department could you tell us anymore? Thanks in advance
PS. cant wait for your doomkernal will be nice to have built-in root and recovery on stock FW.

Does the recovery include flashing kernels ??

i got two question is it possible
first is it possible to connect 2 pendrive via hub
like in galaxy s 2
second usb ethernet
example smc2206usb/eth any thing like that ? not 65mbps via wifi but 100mbps by cable!(that for refrence http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1582250 but is that only for Honeycomb)
wish list that for kernel
Regards
THANKS
P.S in NTFS compatibilty will good and mass storage not media transfer protocol

Would love Overclocking!

Would like IT to have a home screen more in hope the gouverneurs wil be added toen ofcourse the option to flash custom roms with revovery and all the sweetness youre put in youre other kernels.... And don't forget a stable custom rom with ics

he's not talking about the trasparent bar, he´s talking about notification led ( as far as i know the possible colours are red, orange, green, blue and white purple)
and it's a great idea, because the led becomes green at 90% battery charging, if only become green at 100% will be perfect

Exciting!
So now the real mods begin?

I'd like some tun/tap modules included in kernel (easier than loading them + init.d script)
Some overclocking is good, but modifying cpu voltage can be good for battery life too.

I hope the DooMKernel include:
NTFS support
Overclocking
More CPU Governors

[Q] Best Custom Rom For Xperia Arc LT15i

Hi, i have an Xperia LT15i and i'd like to know what is the best custom rom around here for my device. I see this one here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786871 , it is stable?? If i install this rom, i have to install anything else(tweeks,root,etc..)??
My device have the bootloader unlocked.
One more question, how do i install permanently the CWM to enter in the recovery boot menu?
Sorry about the questions, its a noob talking here , and sorry about my english...
Being a noob doesn't mean you can't search or read, otherwise you might have seen this question has been asked many times. Click the first link in my sig too.

i agree with u but i love Jellybean ( original , not combo between Jelly and ICS).
Any ROM with Paranoid settings which allow you to set dpi for single apps is awesome. I have compiled paranoid android 2.55 and put link in thread in dev section of you wanna try. Camps is also pretty awesome but my phone got really sluggish with that so I use regular PA.

If You are looking for GB based Roms then X-Gamer v1.6, this will give you an Internal Mem of 355MB, and RAM of nearly 240MB after installation and its stable too. If ICS based Roms then JelleySandwich 7.4. its stable (by stable i mean after installation everything works).
The above Roms i have tested it on LT15i with LB though.
new rom

that new one is beautiful:good:
Cm10 based ROM: RacingBean v3.0 ! Very very Fast and stable ! :good:
We're not allowed to ask this kind of questions. Every rom is good. But it depends on ones needings.

For interface you must try ics or jb..

@amin
I just read in the Xperia S threat that you are also developing a kernel for Xperia S. Could this be the missing link between S and Acro. Because what I read is that basically S rom should work for Acro as well besides the missing support for external SD Card. Would you kernel bridge this problem e.g. could we flash a S rom with your Acro kernel and getting external SD card working?
When will this kernel be released?

It's the problem caused by the reader, not the phone or Android system. The power supply on OTG mode is restricted so that the battery wouldn't be drained too fast. Use another reader if possible.

This kernel works only on sony firmware**NOT on CM10.1/10.2/11**
Guys is anyone interested in more optimisation (-O3 optimisation) of Doom Kernel. It might increase the performance of the phone
-O0 - Reduce compilation time and make debugging produce the expected results. This is the default.
-O3 - Optimize yet more. -O3 turns on all optimizations specified by -O2 and also turns on the -finline-functions, -funswitch-loops, -fpredictive-commoning, -fgcse-after-reload, -ftree-vectorize, -fvect-cost-model, -ftree-partial-pre and -fipa-cp-clone options.

Thanks . I myself have been learning how things work and also thinking of making my own kernel for cm11 later (as many modifications to kernels like doom or meow would be bad and something Developers didn't want). I'll tell you after I look at the sources. BTW did you compile any kernel before?
If you guys want I can try doing that (DT2W)
Regarding the Kernel sources for 4.3 from Sony's previous releases it looks like they take a lot of time to release sources :/
Edit: Double tap to wake feature is here: https://github.com/DooMLoRD/android...083f9939ef4/include/linux/synaptics_i2c_rmi.h
We need to include that in CM11 sources and do the following changes: https://github.com/DooMLoRD/android...mmit/63edfc06cae1446295846a4197874083f9939ef4

[Q] Little help needed for building tethered TWRP

Hi,
I am about to build a TWRP for our ZenFone2's. It manages to get started by the CWM tethered method by social-design-concepts, but problem is, that the graphics don't fix themselves as in @vampirefo 's CWM.
As this is my first time with an Intel device, I don't exactly know what to enter into my BoardConfig.mk to get the TWRP displayed properly...
I attached a picture so you can see what the problem is...is there any lib to include or just a line in BoardConfig.mk (also attached)? Maybe someone more familiar with intel based devices will know...
Cheers
Try here. https://github.com/TeamWin/android_device_asus_fugu/commit/6a99324c21ba451c7cae23ce75585a4a8d7dba39

Hi,
I already copied some stuff from there, now the phone halts at the TWRP welcome screen while still having the weird graphics
Still, many thanks for pointing me to the fugu git, it should be really similar to our device normally...
Good news! The display errors were quickly fixed after insmodding tngdisp.ko...
Now the recovery doesn't find any mount point

Hi,
well, the same principle/restrictions apply as with the CWM:
1. needs to be triggered via PC
2. doesn't write itself permanently on any partition (which makes testing really nice )
Hopefully we will have working backups/restores with the recovery, as I have it configured to handle Selinux, too..
Tomorrow I will continue the troubleshooting regarding the partitions (need to convert the fstab from version 2 to v1, no big deal but I am tired now).
Cheers!

Rom recommendation please M9 - which are still under development and supported?

Ive just got myself a one M9, a bit late I know.
My trusty one M8 is suffering a failing battery and for the cost of repair vs replacement now seemed a good time.
Ive been a fan of HTC phones from pre Android days and in recent times Ive been a big fan of Android Revolution HD.
However I believe ARHD for the one M9 is no longer under development.
Im looking for any rom recommendations for the one M9 that as well as stable and fully functional are also still under support and development by their authors etc and will continue to be at least in the short term.
I am especially interested in anything in a similar mode to ARHD as in keeping sense etc and improving the battery, performance etc.
I am quite satisfied with Viper, but leedroid's rom or ICE is also nice.
S.Rom S8 7.12 it's also nice.

Thanks, can you be more specific for each?
I believe the viper dev has quit.
I need to know which roms specifically arent abandoned for want of a better word and may have support for some time yet. Thats why i asked for specifics re my first post.
Im dont want the lost time and hassle of repeatedly doing over a phone regularly i rely on for daily use, and which are very much of the ARHD ilk.
If i cant find a reliable rom going forward vs rooting and tweaking the stock rom.
Im not sure about ICE or leedroid from reading so far.

Thanks for responding, ill have a look.
Not sure, about what specifics you need.
Like mentioned above, all sense based are relatively stable.
Some differences between the one I mentioned:
- close to sense and performance: ice
- performance and features: leedroid
- customisation: viper
Other than that, viper have no official announcement on being not developed. The somewhat annoying thing is that they release whenever they want, and most of the times we got not that many support from direct developers. But they do releases.
On the support side, leedroid, and ice better but you are right. Ice has its final already, and leedroid seems like it's gonna follow soon.
S ROM seems most promising in that case.

Yes, this one, but the download link for the S8 ZX2 is in HTC 10 forums, actually this rom works with more than one device.

How does S Rom fare with the security measures like safetynet etc. and things like NFC for google play?
I usually like a rooted setup but these days its getting more difficult, can S rom still deliver full reliable functionality?
OR would I be better going down the route of stock roms and magisk etc?
OR is there some middle ground etc.

The s.rom thread in htc 10 has been deleted?
On Baidu I saw the ROM has been updated to 3.01 version, but the thread is gone.
There are not even any mirrors to download the ROM.
