Galaxy S3 Battery Case

Does anyone know if there are any battery cases available? I emailed power-skin they have some pretty nice ones for the S2

really? maybe its just me but it barely last me 8 hours.... even with usually 70% deep sleep

not yet, becareful because i think the nfc chip is in the battery

I've been getting really good battery life unlike with my old photon 4g I would be under 15% by now, but I would still like to get a battery case for the really long days

How long have you had it?

I wouldn't like a power skin had them before and there not all the good and the materiel just sucks, I wish they would be a case like the iPhone 4/4s(incipio or mophie juice pack) , is a little more expensive but actually protects the phone too

I am going to get a battery case for the phone but I am currently getting almost 2 days on moderate use. 3hr screen time, 2 hours in calls, but very little navigation...

Has anyone had any luck finding one? Now that I've had the phone for a while and I'm getting 14 hours of heavy use but leaves me in the red by the time I'm off work

Agree, I had a powerskin for my Skyrocket and it was garbage... took it back after a few days. Turned out the Nexus extended battery worked for the Skyrocket which has useful. Unfortunatly it doesn't work for the S3.

I'm really wanting a battery with higher mah because no matter what I try my battery is almost dead after a 10 hr day at work.

Yeah but with a case I can use up the power supply and leave it charging without the phone that way I'm not stuck sitting by the charger all day

Hrmm...that looks interesting. Has anyone here tried it yet?
Also, how exactly do those work as far as charging? Do you just leave the phone in it, hook up the charger, and it charges both the phone's battery and the external battery at the same time?

There are some "Class A" china batteries which are sold cheap. I bought one. It CAN last up to 1 day, but on texting only. No connections, no games, no mmusic.
There is this MSM HK brand thats almost as good as the original though, at half the price. You can try looking for those.

have you tried tweaks for ur phone?? bacem tweak?? custom kernel?? mine lasts for 3days average
i dont think u need another battery

Don't use any other brands battery.....may be ur phone will damage....

You must calibrate it once a month at less than 20% but not less to 1% of your battery life. It is recomended by some users. Dont let your phone die, it may affect the battery life.

I don't have any current screen shots of my battery life, I'll take a couple once I run it down today. I easily get over a day with 4+ hrs of screen time.

Damn I can hardly get 3h with stock battery and 12h on battery.

I have the QCell 4200mah. Got it on Amazon for 22 bucks or something. Easily get around 5 hours of screen time and a whole days use. Adds some bulk, but feels nice. Cases are offered by QCell also.

I have the official extended 3000 from Samsung. The phone is bit thicker but I'm finding I like it more like this and no longer has the tendency to slip from my hand. Getting 3 hour screen time with max brightness and LTE. Stock Kernel but running Wicked v9.1.

I chose to go for the mophie case for battery quality and the fact that all the big battery's don't have cases that cover the screen edge of the gs3. I found mophie only does. If your looking for protection too.

I bought a 3250 mAh from ebay..... same size as the standard battery, I get min 2 days with normal use..... that includes calls, games, email, web browsing. Not the gold battery it's a kipps but still from China... oh and delivered price..... just under $14.......

4500ma from gorilla gadgets got about 45 hours of use. Heavy usage at 30 hours.

None that I am aware of, I have never owned a gold one but there are posts around both for and against them... some say they are just a 2100 mAh with a new sticker....

I have Seidio's extended battery, along with the case for it. Outrageously expensive, but worth every penny if only because the case has saved my phone from destruction at least 6-8 times when I've dropped it onto hard floors.
It (or my phone) definitely has "moods", though... I've managed to burn through the entire extended battery in as few as 3-4 hours (!!!) a few times. If I don't semi-charge it on my desk at work, it'll usually be down to 15-30% by the time I go home, and dangerously low if it gets another 30-60 minutes of constant use somewhere while eating dinner. I wish somebody besides Seidio made a battery with the compatible dimensions... I wouldn't use a second one often enough to justify throwing down another $70, but I'd love to pick up a second one that's good enough to go for another 3-4 hours.
In case anybody's wondering, my awful battery life is mostly because I use Graffiti, and have to lock the CPU to 100% whenever the screen is on to get acceptable accuracy. It seems like every new generation of Android phones has a worse sample rate than the last, and gets more and more aggressive about trying to slow down the CPU whenever there's a soft keyboard open. (Seriously... my creaky, ancient Sprint Hero OC'ed to 712MHz had a butter-smooth high sample rate, and I could get almost 100% accuracy writing blind with my thumb. My S3 seems to have MAYBE half the sample rate, and Graffiti input when the CPU is allowed to scale down freely and some ***** app is doing realtime Ajax character-by-character queries is almost impossible.

Just picked up the Mophie Juice Pack myself and like it so far. Nice grip, sits snugly in the palm of my hand, and seems to offer good protection.

[Q] Battery problem. Please help

Hello! I have problem with my phone. When battery is on ~ 50% it is turning off. What i can do to stop it? Sorry for my bad english...

You should let us know more about your setup, like which ROM you are using, what kind of tweaks / scripts you have.
Check if you have some kind of software etc. with which you can setup a battery level threshold that makes the phone shutdown when crossed. I think I saw some Roms with that kind of setting but I maybe wrong.
The worst case is unfortunately that your battery is nearing its end of lifetime. What you describe is pointing to that possibility. How old is your battery? These batteries usually have 1000 charge/discharge cycles as their lifetime.
Note: there are so many threads about battery issues. Maybe the moderators can combine them and make it a sticky. So people will know where yo go....

Well you can buy an original samsung battery if you can. Because there are some cheap knock offs and it is very difficult to tell whether they are as good as they say they are. However, there is one battery ( extended 2900 mAh) in the accessories section that is tested by many here and I heard good things about and almost doubles the usage time.
But it comes with its own battery door as it adds some bulge. Here you can find some info in this thread

Bigger battery leading to bigger problems.

So i got the 10,000 mAh Zero Lemon attery and i LOVE it... i am currently at 4% battery and my phone has been off the charger for 5 days and 1 hour. its amazing.
but now i ran into a moderate issues.
when the phone stock battery hit 5% it was roughly at 160mAh and stops allowing the phone to do certain things like update my dropbox use the camera.. ect.
now when the phone is at 5% it is actually at 500mAh which is almost 16% on the stock battery and i should be able to use the camera.
technically if the battery low warning is to help protect the pgone in some way then i should be able to use my camera up untill the remaning battery on teh 10,000 mah battery reaches 1.6% battery.
i would like to just disable all battery limitations completely if that is possible.
any help would be awesome

It's gonna look like a h2 hummer anyways because of the case it comes with is an otterbox knockoff. It does a great job at protecting the phone though:thumbup:
