Hi, I bought a new One X today. I'm going to unlock my phone via HTCDev but first, I want to update my phone to 1.28. But when I clicked Check now button, it says Your phone is up to date. How can I update my phone? I'm using 1.26 and I'm living in Turkey.
I think you have to wait for your carrier to push out the update...

Hi, I recently had to unlock, root and install the t mobile 1.26 stock rom because I updated my phone whilst being charged which destroyed my phone. All went fine however when I manually search for the update it's saying my phone is up to date although it 1.26
Can anyone provide any suggestions how I can receive the updates?

I bought an htc x one already modded because I found re-locked in bootloader menu.
This phone comes from Germany and it is brand vodafone.
My question is,I can receive updates via ota or not?
locks the phone if i upgrade?

You can receive the update as long as you are on the stock rom and have stock recovery. The phone will still say Re-Locked after you get the OTA update.

Yes you can receive the OTA
The previous owner must have relocked it , so I assume it's already locked (?)
I had trouble on relocked and stock. Had to flash the ruu before :/
But you will see if it doesn't work, you can always ruu

i bought a htc one x, and i saw the update 4.2.2 and i downloaded it from update from menu on cellphone, but when i started the update the phone restarded, and entered in "bootloader" after a search on web i saw the phone i bought used as bootloader unlock, my question is how i install the update now? i just see this (http://www.bing.com/images/search?q...3D93655F20F44E103EC361C7B7464&selectedIndex=0)

Hi guys, I own the international unlocked version of the One M8, but I still didn't get the Lollipop update OTA, and I decided to update my M8 manually by downloading the ROM from HTC USA website.. but I had a conversation with HTC's customers service, and they told me not to update manually cause it may brick your phone which is weird cuz many other OEM provide a manual update that works with all versions especially international unlocked version..
So is there any way to upgrade my M8 to lollipop?? cuz I can't wait for the OTA update any longer.
It's a chance that you have to take with every manual update or changing of ROM.
Not that it will brick it, but there's a chance.

I have a 3 Mobile UK contract HTC Desire eye. The phone is already unlocked and I can use any SIM in it. I was successfully able to install generic Europe recovery and root the device to remove any 3 Mobile UK app's. Now the problem is if I try to get OTA updates, I get a message saying my phone software is modified and I can install updates. Is there way to completely install Generic Europe ROM and remove any boot loader unlock or the root access so that I can get the OTA security updates ?

its possible, if you are on complete stock. you are soff, you can change cid and mid of phones.. till yet i dont see any guide to change mid of it.. some developer need to do it, dig it.
