[Q] Is there any way to root HTC One V using any application like Universal Androot? - HTC One V

Hi, I have a Motorola Milestone, which is currently running Cyanogen mod 9 (ICS). But when it was in official Froyo, I can remember I have used an application "Universal Androot" to root that device.
Recently I have purchased HTC One V. I found no way to root my HTC One V without unlocking the bootloader.
Is there any application like "Universal Androot" which can root HTC one V easily...
Because I do not want to unlock my bootloader...
I only need to root my device so that some applications (like firewall system of avast antivirus) can work properly.

Latest HTC update?

Hi guy's
I'm running sense 3.0 and latest Android version from HTC. My phone is not rooted at all, but I would like to root my phone but still keep the update from HTC can I do that I don't want to put any other Rom's on at the moment but may do so in the future.
So can this be done?
If so what would need to do any help would be greatfull, so many things to look at on xda just don't know where to start.
Thanks again guys

You can root your phone and istall a custom ROM with sense 3.0. You can find plenty of room that are basically stock, just rooted, meaning everything is the same like the one you are running now except superuser and busybox have been added.

You will lose the data in the phone...the sdcard is not touched at all.
When i first rooted mine over a year ago, i used the Ultimate Multi Tool.

For backing up my contacts and sms messages and transferring from one rom to another, I use MyPhoneExplorer (found on the market), so far not had any issues using this.

Hey there, i'm on the same "level" as the topic creator and yes, i've been reading around + reading the AAHK manual a couple of times now and well, i think im ready to use it. There is just one thing that bugs me, and that is the downgrading. I understand the downgrading itself, but im just unsure about the whole; "Was my DHD shipped with Froyo or Gingerbread and what does this mean and how do i check it etc etc" :/
I really hope someone can help me with this
Thanks in advance!

HTC Desire HD Success root using One Click Root
I want to share that if anyone wants to root HTC Desire (DHD) A9191 Gingerbread 2.3.5 ---> One Click Root 3.7 works well.
1. Used Windows 7 32 bit (because HTC drivers did not work in Windows 10)
2. I unlocked the bootloader as intructed in htcdev.com/bootloader/
3. Downloaded one click root from sendspace.com/file/ylqkve

[Q] rooting htc one x 4.1.1

Hi, i've updated my HOX to 4.1.1 but haven't rooted it when it was in 4.0.4, and i want to root it for the first time now, but i haven't found any topic regarding my situation. My question is can i use the root method that is on htc one x root info on this site, or not if not how to root it now ?
my spec:
HTC ONE X
Jellybean 4.1.1
build: 3.14.707.24
Im quite new in this, so any help would be awesome. thanks in advance :fingers-crossed:
Yeah sure, its only an update.use the same way since
1.bootloader isn't related to jellybean update
2.recovery isn't related to the update
3.supersu works on all phones
So go root your phone, I don't know how you can handle it unrooted with stock Rom
thanks man :good::good:
