Hi, this is a Port of MIUI v4.
I try to port, but I also fault the keyboard. The base was used CM9 MIUI Kang and SGS, but no luck.
I keep trying, if I get something I'll notice.

Hey, I'm trying to make Port in MTD. But it is in the bootanimation ... do not know where to modify the updater.sh, it was easier to KANG, starts but I still get to operate the keyboard. I keep trying ..

I think many of SGS owners who speak in Persian/arabic or urdu would like to have samsung/swype keypad with mentioned languages in their custom rom.I have made 2 files cwm2 and cwm3 compatible which you can download and flash via recovery
It is for Deodexed roms only
What it does:
it will bring samsung/swype keypad with Farsi(persian) ,Arabic and Urdu to your rom (gingerbread or Froyo), the update includes all stock arabic fonts.
What it does not: It has nothing to do with RTL if you want to have right to left support include reshaping characters on your rom you should follow madmack thread over here
Gingerbread 2.3.3 & 2.3.4 (NEW 9/June/2011)
Now you can have both samsung and swype keyboard with farsi/arabic/urdu support on most gingerbread deodexed roms.(No more bug in audible touch tone)

-How to install:
1-go to system/lib and delete libswypecore.so
2-download the cwm2 or cwm3 file (check compability on your rom) and copy to sdcard
3-go to recovery and install the zip file then reboot
4-If you have problems with samsung keypad or you can not see the above mentioned languages in the list go to /system and delete T9DB directory(if there is any) and reboot
5-now you have both keyboards.

Gingerbread and Froyo:
-Include samsung keypad only (no Swype keyboard)
-Tested on:
XXJVO, XWJVH , XWJVb, XXJVK

the file contains .so files it may not be adoptable to cm7/MIUI , it depends if the rom cookers used samsung lib files for cooking or they rebuild all
anyhow you can make a full backup of your rom first and try it, if it doesnt work you can restore.

As I dont have Galaxy s2 I can not test the keyboard,however its not so difficult to try, make a backup and install, you may report here if it will work or not

there's a swype keyboard pre-installed on the device .. and it's mentioned in the first post that it won't wok if i had a swype pre-installed

I did not say it will not work with preinstalled swype. maybe have to read the first post one more time
as far as I know the lib files are quiet different in swype therefore it seems impossible to add at least for me.
the new swype already come for gingerbread I will check it and let you know if it would work on any custom rom

Already checked swype beta, Farsi/arabic/urdu languages not included in the application, available languages at this moment are mostly european.
So I think that means that it doesn't support RTL languages ! .. Too bad, v3.0 is more polished than the previous version. we will have to wait I guess.

it makes the display brighter when viewing pictures and watching movies (of course only applies to the default application), I found it in Indonesia group. but it is very difficult to see the difference before and after using it.
Applied in the rom and I saw no difference! It also works in CM7.2?

I followed this tutorial to create a swap partition and it worked. but, there are some parts that use Indonesian - Link

been testing this rom for few days, so.
1. Battery life - 4 days of light use...2,5 on heavy using
2.UI-really good, fast, launcher pro is the default launcher
3.performance on gaming-well pretty same as in stock froyo 2.2
so i think this rom is a good alternative, if you are tired of CM 7.2 based roms..., its stable enough without serious bugs

why do I get wifi flicker on off when I install yr rom ? It looks great but....tried wipes , dalvik cache wipe and different gapp files but no go. Can u pls help me ? I like the looks of the rom so far and besides I like TW.

i dunno man , i guess its problem with your handset , i have tried twice and i didnt get the flickering wifi , try reflashing clear all cache and factory reset

I assume jw4 would mean gingerbread; the reason is that it's been atleast 5 months since I last saw gingerbread on my phone so I've lost track of what's the lastest GB out there.
If that's the case, there's absolutely no comparison between GB and ICS...they are in absolutely different leagues...GB is like the fashion style of the 1980s....nice to remember about but uncool to wear...ICS is the "now"...ICS beats GB in almost all aspects be it battery life, phone performance, network signal, data connection etc etc....the only disadvantage whatever ICS roms, for the i9000, is that they don't have Samsung's ****wiz framework...albeit some roms claim to have it...At the end of the day, these are just pure ICS with a ****wiz skin on it...
So, the only loss, as I see it, is that you may not be able to get all samsung apps to work as you have it in GB...but who really wants their crap apps...when there are far better alternatives....

Settings keep crashing at the setup. XD Anyway It's no big deal, but I hope it'll get fixed!
This ROM is so smooth guys try it. Sim card is working, the interface is very cool and I hope it will get further releases!

Oops, I forgot to add that the black bar underneath the Drop Down status bar still persists. >.< I hope it gets removed.

I have tried since from V4 of MIUI but still no luck.. It always appears in ported ROM in CM based..
edit : can you give me ss when the settings crash

I'm sorry I can't. It's because it happens when you boot first time and the phone will go into setup where you will enter your google account. I can't enter it because it will say settings crashed. However, I connected to my google account by skipping that part in the setup and just doing it by running the play store. I hope I make sense. >.< I don't know how to phrase it any other way.

You are not the only one... You can skip the accounts stuff and go to settings, accounts and sync and set up the Google Account yourself... :thumbup:

I'm not using any tutorial since there is no tutorial for V5 at the moment
I just compared the source rom with the base (CM10)
Good to see there is someone will continue to port MIUI.
About black bar in status bar, the problem is its cannot draw translucent color, maybe there is something on framework need to diff. Or try to remove drawing routine on systemui.apk. It's not on drawable.xml. But you can seek on folder res/drawable/
Wow!! Can you made a version of language pack? And fix the Black line when you open the notity!!

Take it easy, man it was nice getting their hands on miui work alone, you got to be a question, Will you follow the upcoming versions, a known and very stable miui eats quite a lot of ram is not gonna do any improvement in the rom?
yeah, i think alex's port rom has many error. i face many fc and then bootloops.

And its funny how he puts his name after the ROM name, like he owns it.... no offense. And how is it that only arco is in the credits? He ported it from somewhere so there was probably a ROM that he ported it from, right? So why didn't he give credits to that person? I smell something fishy...

I don't have Galaxy W, then I work for a community which is not important for me, but I work for it. Use my work or don't wait for fix is not cool.
Then, if you want to continue MIUI on Galaxy W, you can do it, but there will be no respect for me ...
I can also give up, it's not my problem. I take my time to make MIUI build for a device I don't have.
I'm in holidays few days, if you can't wait, I don't know why I use my time to help your community.
