One of my friend has SGY and he`s SGY is rooted ...but dont have CWM Recovery (Permanent).
so my question is how to get permanent CWM Recovery...link as well as small guideline is appreciate.....thnx..!

Permanent cmw is only available in merruks kernel.. It's not final yet.. Still has some bugs..
Cmw can be flashed from stock recovery so no need of permanent one.?

Yeah,But it still has some bugs..you cant flash any custom rom after flashing the kernel..a2sd darktremor doesnt fully work etc..
Merruk is now uploading a new kernel so cant wait to get hold of it!!
in that case he/she will stick on the non-built.in CWM but for me better stick on stock rom and downloads ICON PACKS and LAUNCHER and merruk kernel with andrenaline script/tweaks so my mobile wont lag even i reach 200+ Ram

Hi Delano Custom Kernel should work with your stock rooted 2.3.3. You can flash it via CWM recovery. Just make sure you do a backup first. This kernel has a lot great features checkout the thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405139).

Is there any Cyanogen Mod available for Samsung galaxy Y . Presently I am running on Creed ROM V2.0 . I found the Creed ROM V2.1 very buggy . Creed V2.0 is seriously awsome . But is there any CM available for SGY ?
And another thing is it possible to install some ICS widgets and certain features liek the ICS Music player into the Creed ROM or any other custom ROM ?

seem u had planned to creat CM7 for SGY..i was read your post
He is also working on cm but prioritized the kernel and cwm. Cm' would not function great w/o a good custom kernel

You are out of topic in this thread buddy but yes, you need to have the temporary cwm to flash Creed's Rom.

Nooo...during flashing the custom kernel,,faqbly flasher v2.0 made a back up of stock kernel......

my stock kernel which extracted from DXLB stock ROM is only 4,39mb. its slightly different with yours. I'm just wondering where did you get that kernel. thats all.

ddkk...that means this is old kernel with unmount sdcard issue. i suggest to use stock kernel in 2nd post merruk kernel thread instead.
guys yesterday i flashed my sgy with creed2.5 and then with MerrukTechnology Kernel v1 and was stuck at boot screen but Version 0.7.50 RC 20 booted up but the above result was a failure with hybrid 2.1 ????
try with chocodigitals rom...............i tried it worked for me...
i think that rom had touch screen problems
Works on any ROM. The final version's out. Try the final version. Boot loops are LESS likely.

have u tried version 0.7 rc 20 i think it is the most stable version working with custom roms
i think hybrid v3 has latest kerenal support but it still has bugs so it is currently reuploaded .waitng till further developement

Kerenal v0.7rc 20 is working good but not v 1 final (still has some bugss....)
try v0.7 it u can overclock to 900mhz

bro in the thread u give it says "Extract system.zip to root of your sdcard - flash the kernel - wipe - reboot - reboot recovery - install ext4.zip and he we go"
in my red highlight shud i flash it using odin? bcoz i don't even try to flash via odin,hehe..

both ways are good (i used faqbly meathod from the start so had made all bootable kerenals and used them) use the one whose instruction u find easy and best
because i dont want to damage your phone by forcing u to use my way buddy

I just have a epic 4g . It's running 2.3.6 , i don't know this is the stock rom or not cause i just have it . I have read the guide on the forum and i can't find any link to the stock . I have found on the wiki but the link has died . Also , i try to install the cwm 3.1 by odin(i know how to cause i used to used the fascinate before) . When i have done . I boot into the cwm and it's the cwm . But when i reboot my phone and then turn it off and boot again to the recovery , it's the recovery of the phone not cwm . I don't understand this . So i hope you guys can help me . Im VNese so my english is very very bad . Sr
The one clicks do not work and GB overwrites cwm. Either follow qbking77's YouTube video on how to root FC09 or Odin CWM 5.027 with auto reboot unchecked. With a custom ROM or deodexed FC09 on your Sd card , pop battery out and in , 3 finger into cwm and flash the ROM. You will then be rooted and cwm will stick.

But when i'm on the ICS, JB my quadrant is about 1500~1900(OC at 1.2-1.5) which same as the stock . So can you tell me why and does it happen to the Epic 4g ??

Quadrant is one of the most of the most useless apps in my opinion....any little modification can drastically change the outcome.....i know that wasnt your question but just saying....

Jb is fast, but its still in development stage, where ICS is not. ICS is in official release. Its really up to u. U can always go from GB to ICS or jb, but never from ics or jb to GB.

The latest stock should be there... and I don't run quadrants... I care about real world performance, not quadrants...
I see in the root wiki , the lastest stock is eh17 which is the link has died . But on my phone is 2.3.6 stock fc09 and i can't find it on the forum and how to get back to it by odin

Yeah, cause 1% an hour is normal and especially if you have data and sync on.
I don't use the network . My country doesn't have the cdma network . I use the air plane mode . Beside my battery is 1650mah . On that i see "Made in Japan , Finish in Korean" ?????
Then it is a cheap knockoff and probably not even 1200 mAH. Read through the CM10 thread for battery saving tips.
