-fastboot package: http://www.multiupload.com/BMJ24IL6XY
-32/64bit drivers: http://www.multiupload.com/0XZV1LXRVA

Download the drivers from the post above. When installed, plug your phone cable into the computer (don't plug in the phone yet!). Hold the search key, and now plug the cable into your phone. The notification light should be blue. When it is, you can release the search key.

[Q] Ubuntu USB Fastboot help

so i typed this in...
./fastboot flash recovery ~/recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.2-vision.img
and i get a message saying "< waiting for device >" and nothing happens..... any ideas???
your command is correct, however you need the drivers for ubuntu, you will need to do some googleing to find the right setup, but i believe you will need a file called 50-android-rules.d or something like that(don't hold me to it) and it will need to proper stuff inside and be placed in the right spot. can you do a "./fastboot devices" and see if the terminal can see the phone? does adb work properly? and is the phone booted in fastboot mode(you would have had to select fastboot from the bootloader)?

yes, there might be another driver needed for fastboot, but i know my other androids all worked in fastboot on my ubuntu box once i had adb working. a little later i will boot into my box and see if i can get fastboot to see my phone. in the mean time look around in the other android forums here on xda and see what they have to say, do some searches for fastboot ubuntu driver(probably want to include your version as well)

[Q] About system update

Hi all... I am from India. I bought htc one x from ebay. It is not Indian version. They are saying it is from middle east or something type that...
And also they opened box for carrier unlock and advised to not upgrade(syatem update). But one first day I got system update for 4.1.1 and I did. Phone goes in bootloop untill battery dead. Each time I apply charger I went in bootloop. I return it to seller and he solve the issue. Now today(after 4 months) I again check and there is again system update for 4.2.2. Please suggest that should I update. OR it will surely goes in bootloop since is not from my country. Or last system update was just a bad luck and should update.
Or should I first root it.
Is there any way for system backup. If i face some problem in update.
Also I dont know whether it is international or bounded with some carrier.
60 views but no help?????????
Hi HOX users/developers. Please give some suggestions. Have any one faced some problem when updated via OTA.

Should I suggest you, ask to seller as it was been advised you not upgrade system and seller known about the advice what he sold.
Is S-off harmful
I think this s-off (link given below) may make problem OR it is fine. Because I read somewhere that root and s-off make error in update.

[Q] Emm... brik! White kindle logo no adb, no fastboot...

Hi,
I've wrote some days ago this post
Hi there!! First of all thanks for the explanation! I've try to understand in wich position is my KF.... but nothing...
A little bit of history:
KF HXD 8,9
I've rooted the KF, after that I've install Safestrap Recovery APK and successfully flash/install 2 different rom into 2 different rom slot not in the stock rom(backed up in the device).
Great! I've tested both and chose one running well. I've chose to delete one and give to the one more space... 7GB.
Well after the installation I've reboot the device........ white fix logo (all white) on screen.... after some reboot pushing the power button (I don't how) it show a screen where I can chose restore device or reboot. I've restored the device to the default factory...
Well now I really don't know what can I do. The command adb devices doesn't recognize any device. Fastboot: ./fastboot getvar product is waiting for the device...
p.s. Only one positive thing is when I plug the KF with the usb in my MAC start Android Transfer Tool.
Any help or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks.
sorry for the bad english

Well now I really don't know what I have to do. And in wich state is my kf... brick/no brick
Plase can you suggest me the right way?
Now I'm using an ubuntu 12.04 as pc, there are some tool or script that can I run into ubuntu?
Thanks.
You should be able to get it into fastboot.
Make sure the tablet is off then run the command.
fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product
Then turn it back on

I've run the fastboot command from the platform-tools folder into the Android sdk and...
still < waiting for device >
I think it might be a driver issue. If you open the driver manager does something flash on the screen when the tablet turns on?

And always blackscreen. Nothing show or display
Have you enabled USB debugging?
To enable USB debugging you need to enable Developer Options in your phone first. To do this: Go to Settings > About phone > Software info > and then tap the build number about 7 times.
Edit: I can see you have downloaded the Android SDK Platform-Tools on the desktop. Try to run the command under the correct path ( C:\Users\XXXX\Desktop\platform-tools_r33.0.2-windows\platform-tools>

Indeed. I have definitely lost my mind.
Use android flashtool. You can't downgrade on official a13 and I think you have to flash it to both slots or use flashtool

If ADB and Fastboot still work (and since your bootloader is unlocked), then @fil3s suggestion to use the Android Flash Tool is the best option to try.
