[Theme] RED SCAPE RC33_V1.42 4/709

Here is my second attempt at this theme gig...
Hats off to the rest of themers like Manup Stericson a RandumAccess to name a few. And thanks a MILLION to the guys that posted various Tutorials.

I dont have JF Firmware, I use Themes from Open Home. But this them makes me want it!

one problem i found is that the developer doesnt make enough icons for apps

[Theme] Muse for CM 4.1.9999 [10-18]

First off, I would like to thank the following people
Stericson, JesusFreke, BrandenK, Sir*Mez, david1171, citizen-erased and anyone else who has inspired me (either explicitly or implicitly).
This theme came about from a personal request that was made to me by citizen-erased, I would have released this sooner, but haven't felt well for a while, but that is over for the most part now.
This theme is mainly a mash up of blur and pulse. I liked the red from blur and the pink from pulse, so well, i made them go together. There isn't really much that will change with this theme (except I will make some changes to reflect the band that it for some more, but this is the best that I got to right now.) unless some people have good ideas that either citizen-erased or I like (since this is really his theme, but he said I could release it if I felt like it, so that others could enjoy it.)
For the most part, the images in here were borrowed or from the blur and pulse ROMs. So its not exactly like I made a masterpiece for my first theme, but eh, here it is.

Yea I agree, the pink throws it off. Those parts should be red to match the rest of the theme. (Then I'd use it) Other than that I love it! Good job!

then download a blur rom or a blur theme, extract all of the red images that correspond to pressed from launcher.apk and framework-res.apk replace them in this theme, sign the file. flash it. there you go.

there is a link in the sticky to how to make a theme, then the second post has an autosign tool, that is all you need.

reading of the to-do log fail.
the 4.1.999 version of this works with 4.1.9999.

This theme is awesome! If I decided to switch back to 4.1.9999999999999 then I'm using this for sure. hah

I'm digging this for the most part. I'm not too fond of the pink, but I could get over it. I started work on a Muse theme a long time ago at the request of citizen-erased, but I got lost in the chaos of life and kinda dropped it. I'd be willing to send you some of my work, if you wanted.

wow. i actually like this theme. i understand why you'd like it ported over. i could possibly do it. i don't know much about the lockscreen settings that is incorporated into the theme, but i could prob port everything else. let me get with the dev and see if he wouldn't mind and/or could help me out if i ran into some issues
edit: alright i've sent original dev a PM so just waiting to hear back

i agree. since i'm porting, i was going to ask if i could get the original image from dev. if not, i know how to get around it anyways with Photoshop.

haha funny because the other day when i was really trying hardcore to figure it out i found that thread. it didn't help me though since they never changed the background color from what i could tell. it stayed black i do believe

I agree its a pretty nice looking theme... Quite subtle, not too over the top...

as an update, i still haven't heard from the original dev. i have already started on the framework, though. almost done, in fact
edit: framework completed
edit: SystemUI.apk is now done as well guys. i need to go back to framework and tweak the status bar color, but that's it. then moving on to the separate apks! will post a screen here of progress thus far. it really looks good so far though heh

For now I rushed things and simply made most images greyscale , that's why this resesmbles your theme so much. I will redraw most images soon making both our themes unique .
Can you please tell me how to theme the statusbar ongoing notifications 'pressed' color (it's blue by default)? It must be hidden in a xml.

It is indeed hidden in an XML and took me a while to find it
-Decompile your SystemUI.apk go to values\drawables.xml and its under notification_item_colour_background_pressed change it to the relevant html color code and your done Well, after compiling the APK.

Do you know how to get rid of the slanted lines from the dialer background?
Have you tried the dialer transparency mod from gingerbread yet?

The dialer background is in 2 parts. 1 is in the framework-res (Drawable-nodpi) and the other part is in the contacts.apk drawable nodpi folder, which is the one with the slanted lines. Change that and your done. I haven't tried the dialer transparency mod yet. Unfortunately I'm not talented enough to even try

They are awful lines. Don't know what Google were thinking when making this "Holo" theme. Most of it is alright, but its better in a white style, not blue Hence my theme !

I am desperatly looking for a texture for more than 4 weeks now and I cant find it, so maybe some of you more experienced Themers might be able to help me.

The texture I am looking for is the greyisch one you can see being used there in multiple areas for example camera and menu. Since its used in many spots I thought it has to be in the frameworks. I changed many images and none of them worked. Maybe I overlooked some which I had to change.

The Rom is Paranoid Android 0.9b
I already asked some people in the tablet theming section, but well...the pointed me to files which dont exist for me or told me its a colour code in values, which I didnt find either.
BTW the power menu is completely black with the dialog one in the xhdpi folder. Most of the other menus too, but not the camera menu
Help is much appreciated^^

If its a texture, like a gradient or a pattern, find it in systemUI.apk. If its a single color, then its somewhere hidden in the codes!
Edit: oops! Just looked at your images closely. Looks like its just a signle color. Probably hidden in the codes

I think its the "dialog_middle_holo_dark.9.png, dialog_top_holo_dark.9.png, dialog_bottom_holo_dark.9.png and dialog_full_holo_dark.9.png" in the framework-res.apk.

the greyisch texture you can see on the right column of the settings menu. I want it to be black^^

no the black holo is already black and is responsible for the left column of the settings menu going dark. But the right one is the nasty one I cant find

U have to theme all dialogue and pop up windows there r I think like 13 or 15 some are dialogue and some are menu item also theme the dark toast pop up

Yes and I think I got them all.
I uploaded my xhdpi folder and I would much appreciate it if you guys would take a look and tell me which I overlooked -.-

I think I got all of the dark dialogs and pop up menus or the toast frame thingy, but none did the job.
What lets me think , that it is not hidden in the code is the fact, that the border is grey black grey. If it were hidden in the code that would be too much text if you would ask me, but I cant find a corresponding image -.-

Here's the theme i made for the transformer that had that image changed. I don't know where it is anymore, but feel free to decompile and look around.

ok the title_bar_portrait.9.png 's werent the ones either-.-
this background is even used in some 3rd party apps in their settings....
