BOOTANIMATION I9100 - Original Standard Stock Animation Galaxy S 2 - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

Some Custom Kernels replace the original Bootanimation because Custom Bootanimation Support. So here is the Original as a Encoded Zip-Version.
THIS IS THE FINAL LAGFREE-VERSION FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY S2.
if you want to make it smoother, just read this . but i have modified the desc.txt and for me it looks smoother than the preview below
perherps it is necessary to rename in sanim.zip or bootanimation.zip
1. look in your folder /system/media for sanim.zip or bootanimation.zip
2. note permissions
3. replace with new zip and set noted permissions
4. be happy.

Slow FPS/animation on Resurrection Remix 2.5.3
Thanks for this.. I really prefer the Samsung Stock Boot animation and i'm glad somebody took the time to put this together.
However, the animation doesn't seem to be smooth enough on my S2.. it frames quite a bit/kinda laggy! I tried changing the FPS in desc.txt to higher than 30.. tried 40 & even 60 and even tried reducing to 24 but doesnt seem to take effect.. i did nor see any noticeable difference in the framerate/smoothness. I did also ensure i was replacing the right file in /system/media.
Any suggestions?
Im running Resurrection Remix 2.5.3 (FLUXI kernel.. if that helps).

Improvement of bootanimation !
Hello,
many many thanks texten !
Since I switched to CM 9 I was annoyed not to have the stock SGS2 animation (which is an .qmg file)
With your boot animation I had the same issue of lagging. I think it's because the zip is 9 MB (too heavy).
So I extracted your zip and I convert every image from .png to .jpg (quality 85), now the zip is 2.5 MB and the boot animation is more fluid !!
Here is the new zip (sorry I can't post links for the moment ) :
Code:
www.multiupload.nl/IH867M2SV1
Hope this will be useful for somebody !
@texten
Feel free to relink this zip in your first post !

Cool Boot Animations ?

Anyone got any cool boot animations for galaxy s2 . Post here !
We can now use boot animation .zip's with CF-ROOT Kernel here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399)
Custom boot animations and binaries
CF-Root also supports custom boot animations:
- /system/media/bootanimation.zip
- /data/local/bootanimation.zip
And custom boot binaries:
- /data/local/bootanimation.bin
these are nice (the droids) :

copied the file into the data/local and system/media folder but its not working, any ideas?
btw using the stock rom
Stock ROM (actually kernel) doesn't support bootanimations.
Will these work on a stock KE7 kernel at all? And if so where do I place them?
Super, thx perfekt work
You need the CF-Root kernel for bootanimation.zips to work I believe.
Maybe someone'll like this...

XDA Developers boot animation I have the 480x800 jpg on mine. Smooth but pixelated. The png version lags but looks better.
Back to the stock S boot animation I like how it says Galaxy S II at the bottom.
Maybe someone can create one with the Galaxy S II text flying in or something? Or maybe a variant of the BIOS boot animation for the S II?
.
I've found the perfect program for boot animations. There are over 200 animations and they are easy to switch. Also there are many for our screen resolution.
It's called: "Absolute System Root Tools" and it can be found on the android market. It works without problems on my cooked and rooted rom.
Android Astronaut Animation can be found on SGS1 themes forum .
Not a zip its done in the original qmg format and just replaces the originals in system/media .Works on stock roms .
Copy here sorry can not find the original post credit to the originator name unknown . Unzip and place the two qmg files in system /media after backing up the originals .This is not a boot-animation zip file .

i wonder y hasent anyone spoken about galaxy s2 not having bootanimation.zip at the first place :S n its a stock rom rooted with a different kenel, not CF-root.
can anyone shed some light on this please
I haven't tried to customize my boot screen yet, which is surprising considering I've created plenty of them. The only downside(upside) is the boot up is really quick.

If you want to use it for your own ROM Release, feel free to use it but give me credits for it!
Thx to CoDdis @ Android-Hilfe.de for making an usable CWM package!
How to for Speedmod: (need to be root!!!)
1: make a nandroid backup (just to be on the safe side)
2: install the CWM file through ClockWorkMod (=CWM )
3: copy my bootanimation.zip in /system/media, make two clones and rename the cloned files to ODEAnim.zip and sanim.zip
4: go to /system/bin, backup and delete the file samsungani
5: rename the file bootanimation in /system/bin to samsungani
Reboot and be happy.

If CM7 uses a kernel with boot animation support then yes!
Hi,
This caused a few problems with my setup and gave me a long black screen before eventually booting. I had already put a custom boot image for my first loading screen which I think is what is causing the conflict. I overwrote bootanimation.zip in system/media with another custom image to get everything working correctly again, but I still have the booting sound from your zip. How do I remove that sound? Is there a wav file or something somewhere that I can delete? Let me know please.
Thanks
*EDIT* Not to worry, I found it in etc/poweron.wav
Nice work, looks awesome!
works great on lite'ning rom
Superb bootanimation. I feel I'll keep rebooting to show it off.

hey dude, any pic or something?
Put the link in the first post..
Unzip and add this Sound Forge processed PowerOn.wav file to System/media for the complete PC Boot experience.
I really find this fun and nice but the distorting effect of Siyah Kernel text is a bit overused i think. and you should use a smaller font for "by Gokhan Moral"
and before i use this, any ways of backuping original one?
Looks nice!
But if you allow, I think that the main text should be Galaxy SII and below the "Siyah kernel" and in small letters "by GohkanMoral".
Those are the only changes that I would make.

You are free to make your own version, this is a homage to Gokhan so I used this fontsize.
Overused? Its just round left and back again... o.o also there are no other effects or animations so i dont see this as overused.. o.o
But you can always open the bootanimation zip and delete the pictures that represent the second distorting if you want ^^
No need to backup original, the kernel looks for bootanimation.zip and if none exists it will play the original, so you just need to delete the bootanimation.zip and the default will play.

Sorry but i haven't read anything for the moment about bootanimation. If you "can" do it, extended sound on the Logo can be Cool also.

Quick question, is it gonna loop until the phone boots? I don't like those bootanimations. I like seeing them once per phone boot xD.
What I mean is, is the little fiery part gonna stay till the end and not the complete animation.

EDIT: I have another question, since you optimized it for the Ace, does it start off slow then speed up for the rest of the animation? I've had those problems with other BA's like the Galaxy Nexus' animation starts off really slow and laggy then after it plays once, it goes full speed.

You don't flash a bootanimation. You always replace it with root explorer. system/media folder. Make sure its named EXACTLY "bootanimation.zip" No Bootanimation or any other name.
Please read instructions next time before doing anything again on your phone. From what I can see, you're one of the kinds that would brick their phone with Rom Manager.

S3 shutdown animation

If someone is interested...
i've placed the Samsung Galaxy S3 shutdown.qmg file in the folder /system/media/video and replaced the new one for the old one and it gave me the S3 shutdown animation . I think it's kinda cool I've tried it with the bootsamsung.qmg and the bootsamsungloop.qmg in /system/media and it gave me an bootanimation that looked cool but it isn't what it should be maby i missed an extra file ore something
But before you replace the files , first copy them( the original ones ) to an place on your SD card !
Here is the file for the shutdown animation :
http://www.multiupload.nl/UPK51NKWRS
Just place it in the folder /system/media/video and replace it for the old one .
You need to have root acces and use an app to do it like Rootexplorer .

And replace it with the old files there .

They're the AOSP demo videos, I usually remove them to save space in /system.

i think slim doesnt have that
try scrolling to the bottom it might be there
I've tried this on ICS333 1.1 but there was no folder called "video".
When I created such folder (without specifying any permissions) and put the file in there, there was still no shutdown animation (also after a reboot)
the link does not work
Nice
Cool, it worked perfect for me i'm keeping it. i'm on Gamers Rom V11 Gingerbread
@davedh, I don't think your bootanimation is wrong. The galaxy S3 bootanimation only animates the Samsung logo, which is different with S2's and S1's.
So could you upload the bootanimation too?
