HTC ONE X Stylus - HTC One X

Has anyone seen or used any good stylus's? I want to get one for drawing apps on my One X. Ive seen the odd one or two but they have like rubber brushes at the end :S. I just like a traditional pen style stylus, if not then something close as.

You can't use a pen stylus with the one x. For the rubber ones I like the wacom bamboo ipad stylus because it has a finer tip than most.

So, basically, any capacitive stylus would work on One X? Because I've tried to use GNote's spen but it didn't worked

I too want a stylus, but they're all the stupid looking round tipped ones that look like pens for special kids

Thats how it makes me feel when i used it Gunna try the wacom bamboo

I really love the jot pro. I was part of the kickstarter project. It works great.

I found some hidden settings that I think are stylus/pen related.
The tutorial won't open so I ain't so sure.

^^ wow! So the One X has a digitizer?

Download minimalistic text widget from store.
Put the widget on the home screen and then open it.
Scroll down to Start another activity and press below.
Scroll down through activities down to pen settings and select it, it has the Google system robot icon and press OK.
Go back to the home screen widget and there it is.
It seems that its going to be a later feature and I can guess that HTC will only impliment it once they release an expensive accessory.
HTC sense server for pen apps leads nowhere and the tutorial on how to use it won't open.

+1

this came yesterday for my phone. gorgeous case and the stylus as well. i do not use it but the brief little moment i had playing with the stylus pen was really nice and responsive. here is the link to check it out quite cheap as well guys not bad for £3.50
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270963796836?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Just got this nipple stylus from ebay its small and compact fits nice and firm in your 3.5mm so it isnt going to slip out anytime soon also it doesnt protrude too much to worry about , aswel audio out isnt affected so you can still play music out of your loudspeaker
The tips made of soft silicon so its really soft and glides across the screen very easily, the phone registers all the touches and swipes without a hitch
Its small size is convenient but if you have large fingers it can be annoying luckily though if u have a 3.5mm adapter lying around anywhere plug it in and your good to go

[Q] Stylus? Worth it?

I've been looking into getting a stylus? What are your thoughts? Do all of them have round blunt ends? this is the one I was looking at...
http://www.wacom.com/en/Products/BambooStylus.aspx
Yes, they all have round blunt ends. Some are better than others but there's really nothing you can do about it with a capacitive screen.
You are never going to get anywhere near the accuracy you would get with an active digitizer. Also, you'll never have any sort of pressure sensitivity.
so personally, I don't think it's worth it but I'm probably not the best person to give you advice. I am user of windows tablets with active digitizers(wacom and n-trig) so I will never have any respect for capacitive styli. then again, they're pretty cheap and they do work to some extent so I guess you can't really lose.
I'll stick with my fujitsu t5010 for now and I'll probably get a fujitsu q550, motion computing cl900 or asus ep121 soon. If I really wanted to take notes with an android tablet, I'd get the htc flyer(it has an n-trig digitizer) but the note taking software for android is really quite pathetic compared to something like one note for windows.
don't get me wrong here. I'm a huge fan of android. I actually write android tablet apps for a living. there's a lot of things android tablets do well but note taking is not one of those things.
Just make sure you get one with rubber tip and not foam.

That's because the flyer has a n-trig active digitizer. The galaxy tab, however, certainly does not.
I use a Targus stylus from time to time on my XOOM and my Galaxy Tab 7.
The primary advantage for me is fingerprint reduction. Its nice to clean the screen and have it stay clean for a while. Try eating Pizza and poking your tablet's screen with your finger!
Accuracy is better with a stylus, however in terms of speed, fingers are generally faster.

haha... Not a spammer. Don't worry.
All my friends have bought tablets in the last few weeks and I got em all some of these and they all use them. Even when they pinch to zoom they use one finger on the screen and the stylus.
You'll like it. It's very precise and matches the build quality of the targus one.
You can make a good stylus out of an aluminum pen or hollow aluminum tube (from a telescopic mirror or an antenna) and some conductive foam squeezed into the end. there are tutorials on youtube. You should be able to get the foam from a computer supply shop or you can order it for cheap on ebay

I didn't play with it long enough to care to find out. It was that "odd" to handle.
Sadly that doesn't make it a "thin" stylus by any means.
I saw one being advertised on barnes and noble's site for the nook that "looked" thin but I haven't checked it out to see whether it was just the photo that made it look that way.
So I found a stylus that has a smaller surface area. Its the same thickness as a regular pen.

If you want to draw on your E4GT you should really give the Jot Mini a try.
http://www.amazon.com/Adonit-Stylus...LTAU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1338263247&sr=8-1
It is very accurate, much more so than ANY bubble-tip stylus and it registers very well on the E4GT's screen. I use one myself. It is also nice and small which makes it easy to carry around with your phone.

Pen led stylus

I've been looking for a stylus with a ballpoint pen, And a led light, but I hadn't been able to find one, any help? I know they exist because a guy at work has one, but can't remember where he got it...
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
You can't use a stylus with that fine of a tip with the gnex. Because of the type of touch screen it uses, you need a surface roughly the size of a fingertip. I think the closest you will find size-wise is the pogo.

I dont think he wants a pen to double as a stylus. The way I understood the description was that the pen has three settings (like those multi colour pens where you can click for different colours) where one is a stylus and another is the pen and then a led light.
Or I could be completely wrong.
Either way, I havent heard of anything like that before.

S Pen Holder - Nylon tip -OK on GN 10.1?

Hello everyone!
I just received my Samsung S Pen Holder Kit. It arrived with a stylus that looks to be made for the Galaxy note S3.
The seller on ebay stated that it is fine to use on GN 10.1. It has, or what looks to be a nylon tip and the instructions state that it is non-replaceable.
It works and responds great and the Stylus button responds as well.
My question is, will this tip cause problems on the screen in terms of scratching, gouging, etc?
Thanks.
Mine has the same tip as yours and has not caused any problems so far for me, but I just got mine too .

Ok, i have another 7 days to return the GN back to BB if there is an issue. It writes and feels real good...
The barrel pen feels real good so far, what say you?
I say the same. It feels and writes like a real pen. Glides nice and smooth on the screen. I have used it quite a bit tonight without issue, no scratches, gouges, or marks so far. The pen is weighted just right and the right size for me. Now if only i can just get used to the button and quit taking screen shots while I write.

Ditto, ditto and ditto... too funny on the screen shots... welcome to the club on that one!
I was concerned over the differences on the tips.
I recapped 3 meetings notes tonight and cant see any degradation in terms of screen scratches.
The biggest problem is my wife see's the s-pen and picks it up and starts to use it... not good!
I was just wondering this. That pen was actually made for the Note 5.3". The reason why I'm doubting this is because Sammy did change the tip on the 10.1 pen...its a softer tip. Maybe they changed it because it does scratch? 5.3" users did report some scratching. I think im gonna stop using it and get the real 10.1 S pen holder.
Basically I dont trust it, eventhouhg it looks nice.

you do know that the note 10.1 stylus (that was included with your tablet) has white nylon nibs as well, right? They came in a little baggie. The nib alone shouldn't scratch it as it's hardness is much lower. get a piece of grit stuck between the nib and screen though and all bets are off.

My 10.1 came with the white nylon nibs as well as the softer black ones. This is day two of my using of the pen kit on my 10.1 and not a signal mark. l always make sure my screen is clean before putting any s-pen to it. If I ever do get a mark I will make sure to post about it.

that's odd. Mine came with five (5) black with white center ones and two (2) completely white ones.
Just checked mine and it indeed came with the Nylon hard tips so scratching shoulnt be an issue. So question now is: Is the old pen to do 1024 levels of pressure? Or is this done on the screen itself?

The pen does the pressure sensing... you can test out by holding the tip of the pen real.close to the screen and pressing it with your finger.. the tablet registers touchs depending on how hard you press without touching the screen

I find the spring loaded ones work best for me with the input setting set to very sensitive With the spring. It really feels very much like a graphics style pencil with very soft lead..
Anyway my questions . have anyone tried the intuios Nibs or if there might be different ones available

thanks for a reply in advance . i will be picking up the note monday after two failed attempts on getting a good nexus 7 . was not going to get the note because i own the intuos but now i believe this could be awesome for doing on site print/ structural changes.without having to drag out my big notebook and so on...
the intuos/cintiq nibs do not fit the the stock s-pen that comes wit the device. The diameter is too large.

Stylus for HTC One

I've been looking for a stylus for the HTC One because I miss the S-pen on the Note 2. Anyone know which one is close to be as good as the S-pen ? Where can I buy it ?
Your not going to find anything similar to the s-pen because that was an actual stylus and the phone was designed for it. You can get a capacitive stylus but that would be almost the same as just using your finger. Anyway Waco, the company that makes the bamboo pad for Mac, makes some really nice capacitive stylus's. I'd recommend them.
