Devs moving to new novità?

Hello, I don't know if this has been already discussed, but here's the question:
with the arrival of jelly bean and the new hboots, are devs moving to them for their boot.img? I remember seeing a custom boot.img for cyano 10, but at now I haven't seen, unless I've missed something faux kernel or bricked kernel for example for the new hboots, nor roms like cyano 10 providing themselves a version for the new hboots.
are they waiting for jb update to be released widely?

Once the jb kernel source is out itll all be back to normal. That may be a while yet.

Paranoid

Well I've got my Ace II running JB MF1 with 482 of RAM ( Installed directly from GB without PIT) Which version and how many RAM should I have before installing Paranoid?

Why does everyone complain about RAM? There's no difference between 482 and 624MB, as for how Android manages RAM.
Just use some RAM optimization script (or app) and you'll see how little - memory size impacts on performance.
I have never achieved 624MB, and wouldn't mind if I did.
Anyway...
Paranoid is based on CM10 which runs on any release of JB 4.1.2. I tried CM10 on MC8 without major issues, but don't know if it needs a specific release to work.

About kernels...

Hey there, I'm a little confused in here, I've used the search button!
I see in the android development section, a post of all roms and kernels for this device, but I see kernels from 4.2.2 and up, and I'm in custom stock (epsilon) 4.1.2, but I've noticed the volume in earphones is too low, so I'm looking for a good kernel with good tweaks to try, can you recommend? Or tell me which one of those is safe to install in 4.1.2
Thanks in advice
The only kernel(at least at the time i moved on from E975) was kite S3. Unfortunatelly it is no longer supported, but it works without any problems. Since there is no update from LG, there is not much to improve.
About the low volume, you could try some dsp's from playstore, like volume fx+. It's not much, but it's better anyway.
I've actually tried all of the official ways to try to get more volume without success, that's why I'm looking for a kernel, in cm with kernel m1 the volume is about twice as in stock

There are other options for stock ROM, but there isn't a thread open for it.
Search for liberty Kernel or Viper Kernel and you will find them.

[index] KitKat roms for Optimus G

There are other threads regarding this matter that I used as reference for this one , but most of them are abandoned and undated, so I am making a new list that I am going to try to keep updated.
Some of developers use model numbers (e975, e973,..) and some use code names of the phones. Keep in mind that you need the right version compatible with you phone, though some of them might work on all versions.

Also, please inform me if you know some other roms and I will add them to the list
Good.
It's difficult to keep update but at least the available ROM's it's good to know.
I believe that you know the missing ones: OMNI, PSX, Carbon, Slimkat, AOSP...
Would be nice to have a list of current bugs for main roms.I'll update for cyanogen.
Well I don't know if I can open rom specific thread without permission from makers... I would open for BAM and Cyan Fox.
There are threads for rest of the roms on list, though Liquid Smooth is undated, for 2.3.7 ver

What ROM can i flash to a f180 or are there any ROM for f180? Thanks

stock rom and visionarys custom kernal????

has anyone tried using the latest stock rom and custom kernal by visonary is there any improvement ? with and without custom kernal and is there still bugs in latest stock rom
Don't use visionarys kernel with the latest stock.
Elephone changed paths in the new ROM, so blueflame4 has to rebuild the image.
Look at his thread, to keep up to date.
Cheers

The kernel manages the hardware but not the features in the ROM. If Elephone screws the ROM a custom kernel won't help.
