Actually this is not the same as my issue, the link you referring was someone that has an unlocked bootloader, that is how they were able to revive their tablet. My bootloader somehow became locked again, that is why mine is sitting at the same prompts as in the OP.

Boot Loop stuck in Animation help.

Hey everyone. I know there are already a few threads with boot loop animations, and am having difficulties finding the same situation as what I'm going through. Here is what the phone used to have before it randomly started looping:
Rooted - with Stock rom, using ClockwordMod Recovery 5.5.0.2
Used Go Launcher Theme ( if that even matters )
No additional roms installed or anything, the phone is 3 months old.
Ok here is where I'm stuck. I understand I should reflash somethings like recovery image or something, but I'm stuck with one big problem. My computer and phone don't recognize using the USB mount.
The message I get is called "Unable to open lunfile ( no such file or directory)
Here's what screens I can get to:
1. Hold vol up/down while holding power ( the little android with its belly open, and the options Start - Restart Bootloader - Recovery mode - Power Off )
2. Hold vol down - ODIN mode, with the START option only
I can access WMD recovery and factory reset, Try to install my old backup, nothing works at all in that area, no matter what I do.
Can someone advise me a step by step way of getting my computer to recognize my phone, so that I am able to do fastboot, or reflash, or anything to get my phone working again. I can't access my internal memory at all.
It's even possible that I've read too much, and my frustration is getting in the way, if so I apologize! Some guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance of course! I need my phone for business!
Cheers,
Install the drivers on a computer then use fastboot oem unlock. Or just factory reset it from within recovery.

Try my siggy.
I'm not sure about the exact error:
But the link there will get you the correct drivers.
Also, as stated...try to factory reset.
You'll lose your apps/data that way though =/
Hopefully you can get the driver installed and get your computer to recognize.
If so, follow this to back up your apps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420351
Have exactly the same setup as you (rooted/stock/CWM) and had the animation bootloop - animation would just loop until a battery pull.
Only thing that solved it was a factory reset from recovery. Been working fine for the 4 weeks since. No need for any reflashing etc. Titanium recoveries have all worked fine as well. Didn't try my Nandroid backup as I thought that may still have the 'fault' built in.
I had a boot loop for every from I tried to flash...wat fixed it was before flashing u need to wipe system data and wipe the cache in the recovery...ie a clean install...then every rom I tried worked...so I think ur missing that crucial step coz it worked for me
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Hey guys, as stated above I've done numerous factory resets, it still seems to boot. I will for sure try to get the drivers installed so my phone is recongised by the computer, but would need step-by-step assistance when doing fastboot, or whatever the next step is.
Looking for more help though! Keep em coming!
?
Any other ideas?
Thanks!
Ok guys, so here's where I'm at now. I've used Jubakuba's sticky link, located here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1529058
Everything is able to be recognized up to the point where it says "Put the su.zip on your phone."
Since I cannot access my phone contents, since I keep getting this "Unable to open lunfile ( no such file or directory), it does not allow me to add anything to my phone.
I re-installed CWD as stated in the list of things to do, and all that went well. But I have the same issue, I tried factory resetting all that. erase cache, and still stuck with the same issue.
What's my next step now peeps? Looking for a quick answer as I have time to do it tonight!
Edit***
Just tried this trick: but it says it does not recognize the device?? what is going on! Please help someone! Thanks!

Q: My phone won't boot!
A: The easiest option is to get into recovery and restore a nandroid using the above guide (pull battery to put phone in an off-state if needed).
However, more advanced options are available if you don't have a nandroid available (You're naughty).
Do you have another rom .zip available on your SD card? If so, simply use the above guide for installing a rom to get you booting again.
If not, you can download one on your PC. Boot into fastboot (the green Android with open chest menu).
Move the .zip to the C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools folder.
Open ADB.
Change the NAMEOFZIP.zip below to the correct file name...and perform the action.
Surely your computer recognizes your phone. Otherwise how were you able to unlock the bootloader and flash the recovery?
And I've never seen that error message before. It doesn't even make any sense to me. Where are you seeing it? On your phone or on your computer? And in what context? What are you trying to do when it shows up?
If your phone isn't booting I'm not sure that you can copy any files to it yet. (Maybe you can use adb in clockworkmod? I'm not sure) What I do know you can do is flash the stock ROM and start over.
Download the image from Google here:
http://code.google.com/android/nexus/images.html
Here's a instructions for the GSM version:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1366806
For the Verizon version, I can't find the thread at the moment but you just replace the filenames and also there's 2 radios to flash so:
fastboot flash radio *filename*
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio-cmda *filename*
"Unable to open lunfile ( no such file or directory) appears on the phone, in CWD mode, when trying to attempt "mount Usb" to be able to access my internal storage .
I am attempting your thoughts right now.
I will post with results
Ok I tried to do this step. This is the outcome I received on the computer after even typing the first step:
'fastboot-windows' is not recognized as aninternal or external command, operable program or batch file.
A thing to stress, I'm not sure how to do step 1: 1) Take a Nandroid Backup if you have CWM installed.
EDIT***
GREAT NEWS!
used this setup!
http://android.modaco.com/topic/348161-01-feb-r4-superboot-rooting-the-gsm-lte-galaxy-nexus/
and it worked!
Thank you everyone! Going to play with my phone and make sure it all works!

[Q] Help rooting Wildfire S please

Hi All
Spent most of today trying to root the good lady's phone, using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195275Much more difficult than I thought! I have got as far as having unlocked the bootloader but when I try Flashing the Custom Recovery UI, I get "CID incorrect" Could someone please explain what this means. I have tried searching for help but not found anything i understand sufficiently to proceed. What is a goldcard and what does it do please?
It has just stuck me that I have the PG76IMG.zip file and the root.zip on the sd card at the same time, should it just be PG76IMG.zip until the CWM recovery UI is installed? Many thanks for your help it is much appreciated.

There is already a post on this search around a bit more...wrong section too.
Don't forget to smash that thanks button down since its being a big meanie!
Harsh Response
Thanks for the response even if it was a tad harsh. I only posted as I could not find the answers i need so you sent me off searching again? I have been reading around and still do not know why the CID error occurred and still do not know if I am doing something wrong by having the PG76IMG.zip file and the root.zip on the sd card at the same time. I found a better way of obtaining the SD card CID using an android app called Gold Card helper and I now have a page http://psas.revskills.de/?q=goldcardwhere I can input the cid to get an image downloaded to me. What I still fail to see is why this has become necessary. Can you tell me if this card created during this process then has to be in the phone when I attempt to flash the clockwork mod recovery image, as that is on another sd card. Please enlighten me and I shall give deserved thanks.

Bro can you at least text format your posts?? You write everything in a single line without pressing enter.
It becomes creepy to read.
Anyways, Where is the prob?
Prob is in rooting or in flashing CWM(clockwork mod recover) ?
For CWM ,
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
find the device , and click on the version number to start downloading.. (its 5.0.8 as of now)
then paste it to desktop. And then with the fastboot command flash it to your mobile in fastboot mode.. you will be done. Then the root.zip that you have , flash it from recovery .
Hi Mihir
Thanks for your help, I had no idea there was a specific recovery image for each model of phone.
Now that I have downloaded the image can I substitute the image for the one I currently have and then I guess run
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.8-marvel.image
would that be correct as i guess the image need to be in the same directory as fastboot?

ya that would be correct
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.8-marvel.img
should be .img rather than .image...
Thanks Mihir I will try that when my battery has recovered!
Please help
Hi
I have just managed to download the correct Recovery image as suggested and it appears to have installed correctly.
Code:
c:\WFS>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
sending 'recovery' (4494 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.700s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 2.200s]
finished. total time: 3.900s
I have then removed the battery for a couple of minutes, restarted while holding down the volume minus.
I get the white screen showing hboot at the top highlighted in blue and fastboot highlighted in blue further down.
The sd card is then checked? and I can then select recovery and press the power button.
I then wait for the recovery options but all I am seeing is a white screen saying HTC followed by a black screen with all the four screen button lights on?
There is no mention of any recovery options at all.
Has something gone horribly wrong?
Delete the old download, download the recovery again, and flash it using a GOOD USB-cable. preferably the shortest and sturdiet you have. The image file has probably been corrupted somewhere from the interwebs to your computer, or from your computer to your phone.
Success at last
I finally got Recovery to work with the help of the Recovery provided by Operator3 at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1997465&page=3
I used Recovery to install the root.zip and I now finally have a rooted phone, woo hoo!!
Now all I need to do is free up some space at last.

Can't enter in fastboot mode

The only way" i can enter" is in what we can see in the attached picture, so the phone is bricked i dont know why because i didn't do anything with it, just normal use, no roms, no root etc..
I can't enter in fastboot so i can't use miphone/miflash to flash a new rom.
If i try to change the recovery with the recovery "3e"( the one it has) everytime it appears "error invalid OTA packaged, missing scatter, installation aborted"
Could anybody help me?
thanks in advanced
Any updates?
Hi, I'm stuck in the same problem. Did you ever figure out a solution to your problem?

Can't find anything like it anywhere else (bootloop)

So I made a post in the general help thread and nobody has replied (although I've only waited a few days so I could probably wait a bit longer) but still I feel like my phone's issues are "unique" compared to other bootloops, I can't find anyone else having the same symptoms on their phone. I'll repost what I said in the general help thread and then give a brief overview of everything because I simply cannot comprehend why I'm unable to get out of bootloop with this damn phone.
So I just recently picked up an old Zenfone 2 (ZE500CL) off of my father who didn't really need it anymore and it was an upgrade from my old ****ty phone, so of course I wanted to root it and after using it for a few hours I wanted to install a custom rom by unlocking the bootloader. Well, I tried that, and something must have gone wrong because I got a bootloop and was only really able to boot into recovery mode.
Now, I didn't backup because I'm dumb for one and two I generally have a good idea of where to start if something does go wrong. The thing is, the methods I've looked up and tried have all failed. First, reflashing the stock rom of my ZE500CL (I've tried four different firmwares from the official website, and I know it's ZE500CL because that's what recovery mode is telling me) does not work. Adb hits 47% in the command prompt, the phone stays at 25% until then, and it goes:
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted
Not sure why it doesn't work, I looked it up and tried various things and it just isn't resolving itself.
So I tried simply running commands like the following:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Using files from the stock firmwares themselves, and that gives me a flash_cmds error. I've tried deleting all of the userdata, the system, the cache, and a factory reset through recovery mode but none of that works. I'd really appreciate any help anyone could offer, this is a pickle and I'd really like to get this phone back up so that I can just run it as a rooted phone.
Click to collapse
Now, I'll go over the issues quickly:
I'm stuck in bootloop but I can get into recovery mode
Trying to flash any rom, including multiple stock roms from the asus website, results in an installation aborted message at 47% in either ADB or microSD attempt at flashing the rom.
Attempting to run commands like fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ends up giving me a flash_cmds error which I cannot find anywhere else for the Zenfone 2e
Deleting the cache, userdata, system, or factory resetting the phone does not remove the bootloop
Unlocking and relocking the bootloader does nothing
I would really appreciate any help, feels like my phone is a lost cause even when it's not hard bricked.

Thanks, I haven't seen this. I've got the Intel and xFSTK drivers all up and running but my phone isn't being recognized constantly by my computer under Intel Soc in my Driver Manager, and it's not being recognized as MOOREFIELD but rather as CLOVERVIEW PLUS, and only for a second in-between boots on my phone. Can't get the files to be downloaded through xFSTK, so I've hit a snag here unless someone knows the solution to this.
I'll try just running the flash tool and using a raw firmware, then, since I can't do any of the other stuff.
EDIT: Looks like the issue I was having before is stopping me from running the tool, seems that the computer needs to recognize my phone through the Intel drivers at all time (which it doesn't) in order to run the tool. Also I can't get the tool to view the raw file, it only seems to read zip files (so I put the raw into an empty zip, thinking that could maybe work but I don't know for sure). Damnit, I don't know why this is so difficult.
EDIT 2: All right! Looks like I got it working. The process was relatively simple, actually. It involved booting into TWRP but I wasn't able to most of the time for some reason, it would just never do it. But, I was able to using the CWM Zenfone 2 bat file located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/ze500cl-rooting-related-stuff-t3163528/
Then, I needed the stock rom for my ZE550CL placed onto an external sd card which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/ze550cl-factory-reset-return-to-stock-t3141513
So I would download the CWM Zenfone 2, replace the recovery file as the post states, then run the file. After that, I would run T4 since T1 and T2 didn't work (never tried T3), only T4 would seem to boot me into TWRP. From there, I went to Install, left Zip Verification unchecked, and let the damn thing run. It was the only thing that would run for me, even when doing it with ADB it wouldn't work with the stock rom. Then, I just rebooted and now I'm back on my phone. Hopefully this helps anyone else having this troubling issue, it was terrible!

HTC One M8s propably bricked HELP GUYS

Hi,
i just got an HTC One M8s and i think its propably bricked. I don't know whats owner of that phone done here. Its Software status : Modified, Bootloader: Locked, and S-ON.
I can't turn on the phone, i just can go to bootloader option and cant access recovery bc its popably didn't exist anymore.
I was trying to flash RUU for my CID T-MOB009 but htc_fastboot says "data length is too large" and sometimes "remote:signature verify fail", and i was trying to unlock this bootloader with HTCDev, but when i clicked yes it looks like that(means 1st photo) and just reboot to fastboot in bootloader and it's still locked
Is there's a way to unbrick this phone ? I just spend like 4 hours of trying some tips but it doesn't work for it.
Some screens (remove spaces cause i can't post link before 10posts):

Yeah maybe there's a problem with the "Security warning" it shouldn't be there. What you can do is to reflash the RUU. But not with fastboot but from your sdcard.
Probably this is the firmware that you should use. I'm not sure though you can go one directory back and search for another one if that doesn't suit to you.
Now to flash it follow the steps
1) Download it and if you can check the md5sum so as to ensure it has downloaded correctly.
2) Rename it to 0PKVIMG.zip (note the first character is a zero and not a O
3) Take out the sdcard of your phone.
4) Insert it on your pc and format it to Fat32 or exfat.
5) Copy the above file into your sdcard.
6) Power off your phone and insert the sdcard
7) Go into the bootloader mode. It should automatically detect the firmware
8) When it asks you if you want to install choose "Yes"
9) Wait until it is done. It will flash multiple times the system partion. WAIT patiently
10) Hope that fixed it!
PS: When you enter fastboot you probably see some green letters. This means the hboot is searching for the software file i said above. If it finds it's ok. I had problems copying the file with windows though.

If you haven't installed any linux then create a live cd and boot it up.

Okay so now its the trick. I have done copied that properly, bc it start to loading when i put sd card. I click yes for update, and its start to flashing. Some of first steps failed so it wasn't look good. It called ROM failed to flashed click POWER to restart, and when i clicked it phone goes off and now its propably close to hardbricked cause i cant turn on bootloader. When i take it to charger there is no battery on screen informating its already charging. Only LED is working when charging and sound on windows when plug it on and off. Any suggestions guys? I'am scared now
Similar situation
Hi,
I appear to be in a similar situation with my M8 that I tried to convert to GPE. Something went wrong and although the ROM booted, I kept getting told my data was corrupt or encrypted... Tried a few reboots, and refreshed but still got the same...
A thread on here suggested formatting one of the partitions from TWRP which just returned an error, since then the phone appears to be 'hard bricked'.
No display, no charging indication, not recognised in ADB, and I can't force boot into recovery or fast boot.
However, I do still get the notification sound when I plug it into my PC...
It appears in the Device Manager as Qualcomm Mass Storage Device, and Windows shows ~20 drives most of which are unformatted, a few of which seem to contain system info...
I was wondering, would it be possible to re-image the Device? Given that the PC recognises the partitions, would anyway know what -should- be on them?
Alternatively, can anyone provide an image of a stock drive, partitions etc which I could apply?
Apologies if this is nonsense, but I'd imagine the reason it can't boot is the Bootloader partition is 'missing' or corrupted.
The same may be true for your device Mikkal.
Thanks in advance,
