Working on custom theme

Hello all! im working on some appearance mods at uot kitchen for the wildfire s, this is my first attempt! ill post pics and tell me what you guys think

I no its not perfect at all but its my first attempt, I wanted to post this because im new to this and I want to show and tell people that even a beginner can accomplish things that may seem intimidating or hard. And I want to help people, new people out on this forum as well as the people that helped me out. If you would want to put this on your wildfire s let me no and ill upload the file. (I highly dought people would want this )

How to install a theme like yours? By recovery? I would also change the icon to load an icon with percentages

Would you just take a look at it, just look at it, red wallpaper and cyan quicksettings just take a look at it, all cyan color. all messed up. just ask someone to take a look at it. I hope you might just find a nice color and just take alook at it.

I'm looking at it. Fine to me. If I were you I would keep opinions like that to yourself because they may seem to strong. It's his theme.

It's nice if you just take a look at it, and say it is nice to look at it, and ask for the zip file file and flash it to your phone and take a look at it.

Blue Line Fixed On Button!
Flash over rom without wipe data or cache! If one doesn't work try the other on and make sure your on normal clockwork recovery not soft key! Each rom has a different apk of those two, not the same. Its picky right now!

Can't you just make a keyboard apk so we can switch between stock and the modded one (IE how you switch input method from stock to swipe on past phones)?

I too want the same and I am also running stock root 4.02 LTE. I have never done this type of thing before but I think I am going to start this as my own project since I do program and I have some Android developer friends.
I'll let you know if I get something running. Will take me awhile so if someone else is quick on the draw please go ahead.

Would it be possible to add a 1 or 2 pixel wide blue ring around the space bar, just to give it a little definition? I find that I'm making more typing errors since I can't quite see it.

That sir i dont know. If he has all his gaps included in his rom at once im assuming latiIMe, If you have to flash gapps separate its LatinIMEGoogle

Gsr where have u located the edit to change the colors of the letters in the keyboard? I am building a green theme for gummy.. I have checked all over latinime apk and cannot find it... be help even a direction towards a particular XML folder would be much appreciated

Love they keyboard, using the ICS one!
I changed my dpi to 240 though, at it changed the colour of all of the keys from black to grey though, kinda a strange thing I think.
It still looks really good though!

yes, for me it works with aokp m3.

It's working sort of, the letters have changed color but the keys are still grey instead of darker, also im using the crimson theme that was posted here.

Greetings, I made a simple, quite minimalistic bootanimation, because I really like CM9's new mascot and I think it's time to change the old bootanim to a new one.

For now it's only Holo blue at 320x480 resolution. I will add the Holo orange, purple and green later perhaps with more resolutions as well.

Yep, I don't like the boot loader screen cause it looks like metroid or something. But I think you shouldn't make different colors. I might resize this to fit the nooks screen tomorrow if it looks good I'll post it and tell me which sizes you need and I'll make them for you.

Your probably gonna think i'm stupid too, but I can't get the boot animation to work on my Nook cause I don't know how to change the boot animation in ICS yet but here it is for anyone who wants to try it

You'll need to change the desc.txt to match the new resolution of the image files.

I realize it looks like I abandoned this thread. I've just been really busy lately. The problem with mine isn't the text file its how they are zipped up. I can't zip them like a storage file on my nook but I will try more in the next few days

How to make your own:
Banner
Template:
Font: Continuum Light
Now, when you have to have 2 line text (Recognised contributor for example) you have the font size at 18pt.
When the text is on one line (R.C.) the font size is 32pt
The colour for the text is the same as the XDA part on the left. But if you want the RGB colour numbers, it's 255,210,0.
Then just play around with the location, until you find the one that suits you

The text size for two-lined text is 14pt
For one lined text it's 25pt.
And, like above, play around with the layout a bit, to find the one that you like.

I actually decided to make these when someone posted the font in the previous thread.. I then made the Recognized Contributor one, and read through the topic and I've seen that some people have been looking for some more updated ones

No problem, although if you'll look really close on the brown ones, you might see some...discolouration (I was a bit lazy and didn't want to spend too much time making the color 100% perfect)

I personally used Photoshop, but you can use a good free image editing program called Paint.net
Once you've installed that and loaded the image in, click the small Town in the window on the left.

I made a bootanimation for the HTC One .
Its in 30fps and will show you the HTC One advertised slogan " Everything your phone isn´t" in a nice way !
Its 20mb. Sorry I couldn´t make it smaller but you get a high quality animation.

Download
Its not flashable. You have to move it to /data/local (or to the right directory if your ROM uses a different location + rename it to bootanimation.zip or htc bootup )
and replace the old one. (use adb or ES file explorer on your phone)
Make sure the permissions are set correctly:
rw
rw
r
then reboot.
Enjoy.
There should come a few more sooner or later

The template is in a complete different ratio and yeah it's probably not my best job but I did that just for fun and practice and simply shared it .
And you can be sure that I didn't do that for any tag on my profile.
