Hi
I would like to use the stock keyboard that goes with CM9
The problem is that I need a polish dictionary and I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Does anyone know where can I get it ?
also , tips on how to install it are welcomed.
(I found User Dictionary Manager - but It's no good...)

Just few days ago new JB keyboard popped up on Play Store, there's a downloadable dictionary for polish language and many others too.

[Q] Trouble with CM7.3

Correct me if I'm wrong , but since Cyanogenmod is based on the stock android os, shouldn't it have the normal ,fully functioning , keyboard of gingerbread on this version? It seems to me that although you can choose any input language , there is no auto correct at all or prediction for any foreign language. I need prediction and auto correct for greek because it's really hard to type fast without it.
Is there any way to fix this (maybe dictionaries where kept out because of space and can be found somewhere?)
Edit: Suuure , 2 days and noone has any idea about it ... I worked out that I need a main.dict file to place in the proper folder , but can't find that file anywhere ...
If anyone has a greek gingerbread(AOSP) rom with a working keyboard or even only the dictionary file for 2.3's keyboard Pleeease post a link ?
It doesn't matter that it's build on a stock rom... they might have modified the keyboard to look better and also removed other languages dictionaries to save space and reduce the size of their rom...
you can use better soft keyboards or either download the appropriate dictionary for your phone and inject it into your phone!!!

Gladly mate... But I didn't find any decent dictionaries (or even half-decent)...
I am looking for a source but to no avail.. The keyboard is so annoying to use without any prediction at all , and I've found other problems with it lately... It was the thing that made me just go back to my own 2.29 and just keep the upgraded radio which actually did wonders for both battery and signal...

How to get rid of original keyboard.

Hi guys,
I'm new here and have just loaded up the "Android_Freedom_Wildfire_By_MONI69_A2sd.zip" and it comes with some Arabic keyboard with a **** dictionary with a horrible auto-correction feature. I have installed another keyboard and set it so I can use it, but it still doesn't work!
How can I delete it or disable it?
Also I can't find a working download link for the Froyo WildPuzzle ROM. Could anybody head me in the direction where I can find this.
P.S - Yes I have used the search button, and no, I can't find either of these. Have also searched google for hours.
Thanks guys!
Try rempuzzle rom, it's a remake of wildpuzzle and it should be better
Ah okay cheers mate.

[REQUEST] Swype .apk

Hi there,
Recently I updated my foxhound rom but for once I actually wiped my entire phone, it was cluttered with old system files etc.
I did however lose my Samsung Swype. I downloaded the Swype beta but it only has a English dictionary so far, or at least I can't find any.
So I was hoping there is anyone who could provide me with an .apk for the SGS2 version of Swype

If you really do have the latest version of swype from the "swype beta". Under settings go to input and keyboard and change the settings of swype, you should see an option at languages where you can download a language pack, as I downloaded a NL pack for my swype.

Tried that but it only has UK an US for me =S
Edit:
Reinstalled it for the 5th time or so and the packs are all there. Guess there's been an update. Thanks ><

[Q] How to add language to a ROM

Hey there,
Today I went from CM9 to Liquidsmooth v1.5
It's so fast!
But there is a problem, Liquid devs deleted other languages from ROM and I need Arabic/Persian language.
So I got the fonts from CM9 and pushed them to Liquidsmooth ROM and fixed the permissions so now fonts are working in web browsing I can read Persian fonts in webs. (Before it was squares!)
Then I installed Smart Keyboard Pro and downloaded persian language for it from Google Play.
Then I noticed that Persian font doesn't work in the OS itself. I mean, when I switch to persian keyboard, all the letters are "squares" and I can't type.
I just need Persian language for web browsing (that I fixed this part) and typing.
I don't want to translate everything. I want my phone to be in English language only I want to fix typing. and I have a keyboard app that supports Persian language. Just it doesn't show the letters (it shows squares)
So, what should I do? I hope someone help me.
Thanks in advance.
PS: I'm still a newbie in android because I got my phone 2 weeks ago, I didn't have time to learn Android programming and other things but I will do it in near future.
I think I have to edit fallback_fonts.xml and push it to the phone too. Right?
Anyone?
For adding languages you need a Rom with the language you want. In ur case Arabic.
So you download AOSP Rom and then you need to get the "values-ar" and "raw-ar" from every apk you want to translate. Its kinda mayn work. Specially if you never done it before and if you do it just like me ;-)
You need some tools like apktool and zipalign and winrar.
I cant really explain how to do it. Iam not in that.

Thanks for your answer mate. But do I really need to do these? Because I don't want to translate anything. I only want it for typing. Fonts work great in web browsing I got them from CM9 ROM.
Liquidsmooth doesn't show the letters in the keyboard but it works in web browsing.
even the keyboard is not the android keyboard I use another keyboard from Google Play that supports Persian language.
Devs really should not delete languages from roms :crying:

[Q] Anyway to copy a keyboard dictionary from CM to stock 4.2 Rom?

Hey guys,
I just reverted back to stock 4.2 deodexed, and what can I say I love this Rom, its just the little things that don't work that get me.
I was wondering if anybody knows a way that I can add a custom dictionary from CM to this Rom. Their is no dictionary for the keyboard that I am using and therefor i get no text prediction. I was wondering if anyone could help me with that.
Thanks.
Edit:
In adb shell I was able to locate what I think is the location of the English Dictionary at "/system/usr/srec/en-US", I tried to download another dictionary but it wasn't placed if the same spot. I was thinking if I was to place the Hebrew Dictionary in the same location is it possible that it would work?
Edit2:
I was also able to locate the downloaded Russian dictionary located at "/data/data/com.google.android.inputmethod.latin.dictionarypack/files" with the name "ru___-1419599099.dict".
Based on the name I'm assuming that it cannot be done, there is probably a unique code for each of the available language dictionaries. Maybe some knows something that I don't.
