greets doneyhtc

Did u flash the ColdFusion Gapps.
Did u set up a Google account?

download rom and google apps
then go to recovery and wipe system (not data/factory) and cache
install rom and reboot wait for 2 min.
enter recovery install google apps and reboot. Everything should work (if it doesnt be sure you have partitioned the sd card)

U do NOT need a SD partition

i installed the gapps already.
after install of the rom i first let it boot up. en then i installed the gapps.
but the google play icon is no where to find. sorry for the bad english. i hate to use google translate so i did my best to translate it myself

thanks for the help so far but its not useful for me. it has the newest version of cm9. i installed the rom again and now the bt is working fine but again no google play. and the bt pairs with my pc but i cant connect to my pc using the rc bt app.

Try these google apps, it worked for me

remove the (_)

still a no go. the google play icon isnt even in my apps menu

Are you using a small /system partition? For a full-working system you need a 185mb partition (with mini-gapps) or a 200+mb partition with full gapps. A 20mb cache is recomanded by tilal itself (the dev of CFX). If you came from CM7/MPH/GSF or any other 2.3.x rom, the small /system partition might be the cause of your problems.
Open Terminal Emulator and type df . Then check the "size" of /system, if it's less than 185mb use a TPT in order to resize your partition layout

thanks i am gonna try it soon. because its indeed to small. i let u know this evening greets

wich tpt
wich tpt is needed to do this? because the one on this forum (gen 1 to gen 2) only gives me a space of 160 mb.

Use that only if u are gen 1 but as u can use ics it seems u are gen 2 so use tpt helper from the market and make your own tpt.
How to use it is written in the app or in its respective thread

Reflash your previous rom in order to have a full working system. Download TPT helper from the market, choose your gen (1,2,3, Updated from 1 to 2 with another TPT etc... there are many choice, just choose the right one that fits to your phone.), choose your bootscreen, CWM version, 196 or more mb (i've got ~20 mb free on a 196 mb partition after flashing CFX and mini gapps, so 196 mb is enough for ICS) for system, 20mb off cache and the program will self calculate the size of /data. After that, reboot, do the TPT and flash ICS.

Just backup your data and do complete factory reset/wipe data, cache & Dalvik cache, now flash the most common or latest gapps , reboot & wait few minutes. And you're done. for your info, the mini gapps worked for me without any problem.

thanks. i can now acces the market. greets

*SOLVED*[Market crashing constantly]-The app Market(process com.android.vending)

I just installed cyanogen mod 7.2 stable(It's a clean install and i have wiped every thing) following that installed the latest gapps package(gapps-gb-20110828-signed).
The market would not even load and crash constantly.
I have tried these tips:
1.Cleared data and cache (settings-> applications-> market -> Then clearing cache)
2.Wiped Dalvik cache
3.Fixed permissions.
4.Changed "language"
5.Re-installed gapps package.
All this was to no avail.
Downloaded "jelly bean" market and installed it.
Now the market would load ok but it crashes when i try to download some application. It sucks.
Any suggestion ?
Try Increase your MTD Partition if you have any... It should fix it... If not, delete your account from the settings (Accounts) and log on while opening PlayStore. Hope it helps.
Have you flashed the right Gapps? Some of the latest ones are for ICS Users and i have found they dont work.
Just google "Gapps" and then find the one without ICS
Hope this helps

Deleting the account and factory reset is not working....even installing the CM 7.2 again and again is not working.
What does it have to do with MTD partition ?I have got sufficient internal memoery as i told you that it's a clean install and I don't have any app installed on my device except custom CM apps.
What about going to Setting > Manage applications > Market > Force close
I know you may have tried it and seems silly but i had a problem updating my apps and i did this and everything seems to work. What about a reboot?
Edit: I found this temporary workaround so see if this helps!
Here is what I did:
1- go to app manager from settings,
2- uninstall the latest version of google play store
3- clear data and cache of google play store
4- install version Google Play Store v3.5.19
5- when you open the market, google will still prompt you to update to the latest version (dont continue, leave it as it is)
6- if you want to update/install the apps do it thru the browser in your phone/computer (it will straight away update in your phone)

If you have Custom MTD partition, the issue may be, you have a low space reserved for System (Where GAPPS are installed) and more for Data.
Try using 175, 15... It is sufficent enough to run smoothly.
Cheers.

Ah hell, why the hell didn't I ever think of this ?
Thanks for the life saving tip ,still not sure though if it was market version related or the system partition related.
Increased the partitons to [mtd 175 15].Market took a while, got updated to version 3.7.13 and it's working now.Really appreciate your help.
BTW,How did you figure out that [mtd 175 15] will work on "CM 7.2 Stable"?Just wondering can’t we take some more space from “system”.I have had [mtd 140 5] working well with "CM Nightly”.
Not sure how much we can take from system to flash CM 7.2 Stable but I guess we can still reduce "cache" to 5MB.

Are you sure you are running "CM 7.2 Stable" on HTC Buzz(Wildfire).
I tried [mtd 140 5] and it was causing "The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. (FORCE CLOSE)".

And search a lil' before posting... I've had the same problem not so long ago:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1689239
I found out the partition size because I also wanted more space for Data as I don't like installing apps on SD (It can easily get corrupted as you use the SD with your PC during File Transfer, etc and or malfunction as some SD cards aren't that strong and I don't trust any!). That partition made it run.
Another way you can increase your partion size is simply by taking out pre-installed apps and or ringtones/notifications, etc you feel you don't need (My style). Anyway, I run Erwin P's ICS on Wildy now while having a backup of my CM7 incase I need to use the Camera/Video app again... LOL (I haven't tried using the dual booting thing... Always speculating, say I am lazy... Will try that out someday soon).
Anyways... Glad you have your phone working now.

I kind of agree with most of your post,I only ever use ext for sense roms.
You say " Another way you can increase your partion size is simply by taking out pre-installed apps and or ringtones/notifications, etc you feel you don't need" I now what you mean but this doesn't increase your partition size, removing files etc from system only frees up space in the partition not increase it. Custom mtd is the only method I know to increase system partition. Regards slym.

Sorry... I guess that ain't clear enough... What I meant is this... Remove some stuffs from the ROM and Increase your Custom MTD partition... For example, if 100, 10 makes it run smoothly without edit, after edit, 90, 10 might run it good giving you extra 10MB for data... Hope I am clear here.
Cheers.

TBH I had done enough research to fix the issue.I did what one usually would have considered good research else it shouldn't have taken more than 5 endless days and nights
Even on CM forums,Android forums and several blogs.Don't know why couldn't find your post.
Anyway,"olu.danNY's" advice helped me else i was going to ditch CM7 for some other ROM .In my opinoin there should be a thread where users can update their working MTD partitions regarding their ROMs.
Right now I am running CM 7.2 Stable with [mtd 140 15] and some other users are running it even with [mtd 130 15]. i.e cache partiton was the root of the trouble.

I also prefer removing pre-installed apps using TB but that doesn't really help you that much.
Custom MTD partition does the real rescue and you can also use "S2E" to gain more space by moving apps to Ext partition e.g games, maps.Just make sure you don't move app data to Ext.
SOLVED
P.S. Don't attempt to shrink the cache partition "too much".
Keep it(Cache) ≥ 15

YMMV - especially with CM7. It has been mentioned a few times over the forum that CM7 has a bind script which makes your whole /data partition used as cache - as long as it's activated (default) and not corrupted there shouldn't be any problems with the play store. No idea regarding other situations but I know of people running a 5MB cache partition on CM7...

Yep,I know CM7 has some sort of script that automatically moves cache to data partition if it overflows(larger than the cache size).
I have had [mtd 140 5] working well with "CM Nightly”.
No idea why it is causing trouble with CM7.2-Stable. Maybe it's lacking that script which makes it sufficent enough to run smoothly if cahce partition is <15.

[Q] Help a noob choose a ROM

Hello, I have a GT-S5660 and last week I loaded this ROM -
Jellybean 4.2.2 (CyanogenMod 10.1) 20130908 from maclaw.
But I am running out of space on the internal storage, I have tried the App2SD app but there are some apps that cannot be moved and after loading up 3-4 apps I am running out of space already.
Can someone point me to a ROM that allows me to install ALL my apps to the SD card? I dont mind going backwards in Android versions - I just want to run apps off the sd card. I mainly use the phone as a phone but am a heavy user of whatsapp - footmob - dropbox - music and ebooks.
I have a 2gig SDCard installed in the phone and I made a partion on it using CWM. I hope everything is setup to be able to a new ROM and allow apps install to the SD.
I dont need - FM radio - email (I use gmail) - exchange - only English language - voice search - voice dialler or talk.
Can anyone help me make a good choice for a new ROM ?
Thanks a lot in advance!
You should install JellyBread.
It's the best rom for Gio, it's fast and stable.
And it already has a script in it to move apps to sd-ext.
So create a ext-2, ext-3 or ext-4 partition on your sd-card.
Then go to terminal emulator (pre-installed) and type
su
Then it will ask for root, accept, then
int2ext
reboot
Then check in Settings>Apps>Mangage applications and if you see your storage is huuuuge then it worked.

[Q] LG Optimus One P500 GAPPS

PA 4.4.3 from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2789356
Can't install even micro GAPPS, so need help with that. There is a post in that thread
1. Installed ROM as instructed in OP, rebooted the system and system works as it should be. Since user apps have not yet been installed, system running fast and smooth as usual.
2. Tweaked build.prop: dalvik2cache script (dalvik.vm.dexopt-data-only=0), in order to move [email protected]*.dex files from /data/dalvik-cache to /cache/dalvik-cache and enable soft keys in navigation bar (qemu.hw.mainkeys=0). Rebooted the system and it works just fine. However, dexes still occupy /data/dalvik-cache. Need to be removed manually and gained plenty of free space (ca. 180 MB) in internal memory (/data) afterward.
3. Link2SD works, no headache, since it's fresh installed . However, restoring apps using TB, even a single app took minutes or failed. Will explore further.
4. No need to flash GappsLight. Google services files are already included in /system/app-priv. Simply installed the latest gmscore.apk, login into G server and all G services (incl. Playstore) works as it should be.
5. Will try PA features and report it later. At least floating window works like a charm. Hover? looking how to enable it.

Can you please translate it into normal, simple English and additionally provide info how to install GAPPS? PA itself is looking great, I really want to use it, but I need GAPPS. Thank you in advance!

[Q] cyanogenmod 11 works for 48hrs then fails

hiya,
i recently upgraded to cyanogenmod 11 RC9 marvel, flashed cronmod int2ext_signed and gapps4.4 tocache 20140605, it works fine for about 48hrs then i get trebucket failure that wont clear, try to reboot and it just hangs at the loading screen. i have to pull the batteyr and re flash it all from clockwork, any ideas anyone?
*update*
This happened again this morning, restarting the phone in recovery then wipe data/factory reset allows me to reboot the phone without having to reinstall the rom, but lose gapps and cronmod. The version of Rom i'm using is Olivers page marked as stable.
I used that build (more then 7 days) without any issue and I think also that build is STABLE.
Question: If you are using "CronMod" then why you flash "GApps to cache"?
Advice: If you are interested with CronMod then flash INT2EXT4+ or INT2EXTV2+ and GApps light with fresh install/flash. Also do not install unsupported (with this ROM) APPs on your device.

thanks for the reply,
i'm pretty new to all this so i flashed the Gapps to cache from just following advice on the pages and pages of posts on Olivers thread.
from what i've read, the CronMod INT2EXTV2+ and INT2EST4+ both still use the internal memory(partially) to speed the phone up, is this correct? memory is a valuable commodity on the WFS!
can you define unsupported apps please?
i've just flashed the latest nightly version from olivers link
thanks again

PA Gapps FAQ #3 My install of Google Stock (or Full Modular) GApps failed with the message 'Insufficient storage space available in System partition'. What does this mean?
It has nothing to do with your music, that's on a different partition. It needs space in the system partition. If you are using something like F2FS then you have less space in system and will have to use a smaller gapps package. Also its a GNex, so the "older device" portion of the FAQ comes into play as well.
I would use PA Gapps in either Mini or Micro flavors, they have Google Now included. They released an updated package today, I would check to see if they helps. If you are switching Gapps please see #6 in the FAQ as well. I had issues too before I realized I had to wipe System and reflash my ROM when switching to different gapps.
