by Mistake i have corrupted my HTC One V firmware after applying wrong ROM, i try to restore from backup but now my wifi not working. in this can i need orignal RUU to solve this problem i have tried different RUU Asian and Chines but both are fail to install firmware, even i have Relocked by bootloader but there is not firmware for my phone it is south African firmware having CID HTC_016 so please can anyone have this RUU for south African firmware,
if yes then please give me download link, there is no repairing center in my area to repair this phone.

You need to give more info before someone can help you.
What is your software version no. ? It should say something like 1.xx.xxx.x, so what are the x nos ?
What is your baseband/radio ? You can check this in bootloader

This is what you need:
RUU_PRIMO_U_ICS_40A_HTC_Europe_1.56.401.2_Radio_20.66.30.0831U_3831.15.00.19_M_release_254696_signed.exe
According to the android-info.txt in it's ROM.zip, it's for:
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__E11
cidnum: HTC__203
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__405
cidnum: HTC__Y13
cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__A48
cidnum: HTC__304
cidnum: HTC__M27
cidnum: HTC__032
cidnum: HTC__J15
cidnum: HTC__016

There is a link here, but I never got it to work so I googled it and found another source.

I have this RUU_PRIMO_U_ICS_40A_HTC_Europe_1.56.401.2_Radio_20 .66.30.0831U_3831.15.00.19_M_release_254696_signed .exe

modelid: PG7610000
modelid: PG762****
modelid: PG763****
modelid: PG764****
modelid: PG765****
cidnum: HTC__622cidnum: 11111111
cidnum:T- MOB101cidnum: HTC__044
mainver: 1.35.832.5

but it still tell me cid incorrect, what’s wrong?s-off already
you just need open the txt in PG76IMG.zip and change the cidnum to T-MOB101, it is "change",not "add on"~!
the cidnum "T-MOB101" has no any space in it.

i have stock rom+recovery+kernel , root and S-OFF.
i'm on CID K18. unlocked version. but i didnt recieved the OTA update yet. i would like to get it as soon as possible, because i will not have time to deal with anything going wrong later this week, i need a working phone.
right now i have the time to test it.

will it be compatible with my version?
thanks.
Change your cid to HTC__001 or HTC__044 or so...something which is for WWE or Europe and you should get it then !
Well, i have downloaded the OTA ZIP, and looked inside, there is a "info.txt" file:

cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__E11
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__203
cidnum: HTC__405
cidnum: HTC__Y13

*EDIT*
everything went fine, after the update i flashed TWRP recovery so i could ROOT the device, then i have went back to stock recovery that i took from the "FIRMWARE.ZIP" file located inside the OTA zip.
everything seems to work as it should.

That's the problem.
Only below CID can flash the firmware and you must have a S-Off device.
cidnum: GOOGL001
cidnum: 11111111
cidnum: CWS__001
cidnum: T-MOB010
Is your device S-Off ? If yes, change it to SuperCID 11111111
If S-On ... then forget about flashing customized firmware.

If you're phone isn't s-off then you can't flash zips are they are unsigned. You can only flash ruu.exe's with s-on.

A RUU.exe is nothing more than a RUU.zip combined with HTC_FASTBOOT and a fancy installer. Therefore, you can flash RUU.zip files just fine with S-ON. It's only a different flashing method.
