What is sweep2wake?
How to install?
!!!!IMPORTANT!!!!Flash through recovery. But:
Since the htcdev unlock prevents us from flashing the boot partition from recovery, the installer will ONLY INSTALL THE MODULES & disable the HTC screenshot! (needed as a fixup for sweep2wake, use the AOSP screenshot pwr+vol.down instead)
_YOU_ will need to flash the boot.img within the zip (folder: kernel) yourself! (extract it to your desktop so you can use the commands given to you here)
I can't stress enough how important this is. _YOU_ will need to flash it.
How to do that (full guide, if you use the reboot option given to you by the installer you will only need steps 1 & 4-7)
1. Install HTC drivers (how to do that is explained a hundred times all over the web)
2. Reboot
3. in the boot animation, connect your phone to your computer and do:
adb reboot-bootloader
4. You should now see "FASTBOOT USB", if that is the case:
fastboot flash boot %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\boot.img
5. fastboot reboot
6. check with: adb shell uname -a if it says bricked.
7. enjoy
ofc these steps can also be done before the installer is executed from recovery. Just be sure to complete both.

Why only clock with 1.4 Ghz max?
That's not a fix, just a point of opinion. I provide stock or close-to-stock kernel settings in regards to UV/Clocks. Usually I don't take HTC's 'stock' but the manufacturer of the component. In this case the soc, so NVIDIA.
Our stock-phone is clocked with 1.5Ghz single core and 1.4Ghz multicore (as soon as the 2nd core comes up). Usually, whatever you do, you will instantly trigger the second core to come up, if even only for a short time. This would effectively limit the cpu clock speed to 1.4Ghz for that time.
Since I overwrote the clock reduce, our phone will clock with the set max at all times. Which, in this case, is overclocking.
So I just reduced the clock back to it's "stock" setting and please trust me that you won't notice the difference to stock in Benchmarks, UI performance, or anywhere else. Not only because it is only 100Mhz on ONE CORE, but also because that core seldom runs alone and therefore can only use the 1.5Ghz for a very short time.
You are ofc free to clock it back to 1.5Ghz again. Please note that this counts as overclocking and the same rules as undervolting apply to it.

Soon to be tested will post results...

I don't mean to sound rude. But you REALLY don't need to post this everywhere! The devs are aware it's a feature people want, but the reality is that getting things STABLE first is the highest priority.
It's not point getting call recording added if the phone doesn't work properly. Please just be patient and stop spamming every thread with your requests.

+1 for Wifi error (maximus 1.3)
+ Led Notify always ON (red)
I had Flash boot.img + copy modules at CWM.
Sweep2Wake is cool but sorry.

Man, sweep2wake its amazing!
Now with no problems about wifi, its weird :s im using VR 2.

[ROM][Vanilla 2.1]VanillaEclair 3.0 "Sugar Energy" [READ POST]

As some of you know, I have encountered some problems while developing this ROM. Some very bad problems actually. Even though I've managed to fix them, it's not enough for me. The only way we can all enjoy VanillaEclair at the moment is to use 3.0, which has the most stable kernel yet, but unfortunately I haven't got the sources anymore.
I will continue my work on the OTA updater, on the kernel, on the framework and on A2DP. Also, I want to improve the VanillaEclair website, so that it can be a useful tool for us all. As I'm working alone, I can't do many things at a time. So please understand that this little break has a good reason behind.
Below you can find the links to VanillaEclair 3.0. If you want something more functional, I suggest you try MaXo64's aHero 1.0. I really do understand that you need a functional phone, and I am exactly in the same position, since the Hero I'm using for development is my everyday phone.
The ETA of VanillaEclair 3.3 is Sunday the 6th. Please post here for apps suggestions, feature requests and wish me luck! Cheers!
DOWNLOAD VanillaEclair 3.0
VanillaEclair 3.2 "Let me put a smile on that face" is the latest VanillaEclair build. For those of you who didn't flash the previous versions, this is the fastest and most stable vanilla 2.1 out here.
NOTE: From 3.1 I won't be supporting any issues if you're using JIT. If you're using it I assume that you are an experienced user. This ROM gives you enough performance, and you won't feel a performance boost after flashing JIT anywhere else than Linpack.
See posts #2 and #3 for more info related to the ROM. Discussions about 3.2 start from here.
Based on the latest 2.6.29 sources, provided by behnaam. Thanks.
Changelog:
- fixed battery issues
- added a few modules
- fixed auto brightness(it seems that this works only for newer phones)
- added EXT4 support
I would also like to say thanks to all users that have been reporting bugs, creating bootanimations and posting fixes. You have helped me improve this! You are great!
For info regarding overclocking, battery and such read posts #2 and #3.
Features:
- GPS & A-GPS
- 100% working youtube
- 100% working camera
- 100% working gallery
- facebook sync(100%)
- busybox
- root
- a quite large APN list
- VPN
- HUGE performance
Benchmark results * without JIT, [email protected]:
- Linpack: 3.35MFolps
- Neocore with sound: 30.1FPS
- Neocore without sound: 33.3FPS
Issues:
- A2DP(will be fixed soon)
If you're not using A2SD, you might get an insufficient storage error when trying to install apps from market. You can fix that in two ways:
1. wipe again after flashing the ROM
2.
adb shell
chown system.system /data/app
Click to collapse
What's next?
- OTA updater after everything is 100% stable (if you can help me please let me know)
- A2DP, button lights
- backport BFS
- froyo
Because of the bad battery life and some other problems, I've decided to take the link down for the moment. The updated fixed version will be available tomorrow, the 1st of June. Sorry for the inconvenience.

HOW TO OVERCLOCK - noob-friendly tutorial with recommended settings.
Experienced users might use other settings.
1. Download OverclockWidget from Market (it's free)
2. Put the widget on your screen and make sure you allow it when the Super User permission request comes up(also check the remember option).
3. Reboot
4. Tap it once and select Advanced Setting
5. Check Differ Freq Screen off
Recommended settings:
Screen on: min- 691200 max- 691200
Screen off: min- 245760 max- 245760
6. Check auto start on boot and press save.
Notes:
- overclocking gives you a huge performance boost
- overclocking does not break your phone; it doesn't cause overheating
- overclocking will not affect your battery life(i've taken care of that)
Apps 2 SD FAQ:
1. How do I enable it?
It enables automatically is you have an EXT partition on your SDCARD.
2. Can I use EXT4?
No, sorry. Only EXT2/3 are supported at the moment.
3. What about dalvik cache?
Dalvik-cache is automatically moved on your EXT partition.
Battery tip
IF you're using VanillaEclair 3.1, you shouldn't need to recharge for about 3 days. If you can't get that much, follow the steps:
- wait until the battery is 5-10% left
- go to your recovery image and wipe battery status
- recharge your phone using the wall charger for 4-5 hours or so - you can leave it overnight
That's all!
More about Overclocking(for experienced users):
In VanillaEclair 3.1 I've included a wide range of frequencies that you can use. Here it is - Overclocking widget gets it automatically:
122880
160000
245760
352000
400000
480000
576000
595200
614400
652800
691200
768000
806400

I've been able to run at 806MHz, but the phone got VERY hot and sometimes unresponsive. The highest save to run in daily use frequency is 768MHz, but not all phones can go that far!

Woooow! Coming from neo's v7 which is stable, pretty fast and is supposed to have good battery also (as far as I experienced with former versions) .
But I have NEVER seen a HOX kernel that has so many 51mhz cpu times w/o lags.
This kernel is pure awesomeness, really a new feeling how cold a HOX can be and i bet the battery life will be outstanding
Good to have you back mate

TripNDroid kernels for the HTC Endeavoru
Introduction:
The kernel is a original Android kernel based of Linux 3.4.11 kernel sources. The main difference with other kernels is that we now have a Android kernel instead of a Tegra kernel. The included drivers, memory adressing, irq etc. are original according to Linux mainline, they only contain (as little as possible) modifications needed to function on the Tegra chipset. Later more..
Features:
- True Android kernel
- Tegra reference pinmux support
- Compatible with most Linux kernel patches
- ICS / Jelly Bean support
- Modified for Tegra platform
- Fully unlocked speedo, sku, skuid as per Tegra ref.
- GPU OC 520mhz
- New, stock Android, memory addressing
- Much more!
The list above will be updated along the road.
TOPIC WILL BE UPDATED LATER WITH MORE INFO ETC.
Installation:
- Download zip file and place it on youre sdcard
- Extract boot.img from the zip file
- Flash the boot.img manually via "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
- Go into recovery and flash the downloaded zip there
- Reboot
- Enjoy the TripNDroid Mobile Engineering kernel!

Very silky and smooth however "Safe Mode" appears in the bottom left hand corner.
Also if you hit the power button it reboots the handset instead of putting the phone to sleep!
Looking forward to the next one!
great work once again trip!
I have none of the issues described above. Powerbutton works as it should, as ofc a powerbutton cant be broken at a release that would mean i didnt even flash the kernel. Bit strange would that be. And safe mode is just fixed by a reboot, that is just something that can happen after fastboot flash. Search for it on Google and you know.

I received the safe mode at bottom left hand corner too. Not all apps are showing and then when I press power button it reboots.
I managed to fix this issue by long pressing power button till phone was completely off. Then I did a reboot and the safe mode message was off.
Haven't experienced this with any other version.
Great! Thanks Trip, downloading... !

I managed to fix this issue by long pressing power button till phone was completely off. Then I did a reboot and the safe mode message was off.
Haven't experienced this with any other version.

Fresh install with ROM 017. No safe mode here (I did a factory reset before first boot). So far everything is running smooth. Boot-time is super fast.
Thanks again Trip! :good:

Same thing for me. Done a complete wipe etc. rebooted a few times. And still get safe mode. Anyone have any other ideas?
Ok on like 25th reboot it didn't have safe mode?!! Not sure what was different etc.

Very silky and smooth however "Safe Mode" appears in the bottom left hand corner.
Also if you hit the power button it reboots the handset instead of putting the phone to sleep!
Looking forward to the next one!

Exactly the same problem here. What can we do to help find the bug.
Hold the power button 10 seconds.

AngSanley, I'm using your ROM. After flashing this kernel, WiFi driver seems to be missing as the phone is unable to activate it. Can you help?
Moreover, I'm eagerly awaiting an updated version of your Aroma based ROM.
Thanks!

dont keep non working stuff here... i will report the thread... why are u still keeping the non booting links???? only give the working link...
after flashing this the phone doesnt even vibrate after pressing power button....
Hello World
This is a development thread, that is why even non working stuff is sometimes kept here.
If you want your phone to happily live stock life - dont flash custom kernels/recoveries/roms.
After you flash somth and your phone stops working - you are the only one to blame.
People here just share their work and ideas, nobody guaranteed that things would work out of the box ( there is non-moddable Windows Phone for this).
Please use common sense before yelling at people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also changing governors can be achieved with a very handy app called CPU Tuner Google Play link . It can change governor depending on many variables - highly customizable .
//offtopic
boy we need overclocking on X!

Nah, that version you downloaded is stable and working. So blame your Flashify, not me.
Someone on Kaskus also hard bricked his phone after flashing my kernel using Flasify. So DO NOT USE FLASHIFY.
Now go blame Flashify developer

Thanks for clarification. But does that mean we won't have WiFi unless we stick to stock firmware?
Oh, and it was my mistake, it was dhacker's ROM.

yep. but if the kernel is booting on the AOSP that's mean we only need to build the module for WiFi

I will make this clear..
1. The not booting version won't brick your phone, it can be restored by booting into bootloader mode and reflash using Nokia X Flasher
2. I - and the developers of this kernel, do not brick your phone. Flashify done it.
3. If you installing ROM/Kernel/Mods/etc. Be sure to read the how-to section. It will the most safe and is confirmed by the developers himself.
4. Anything I posted here is because I want to share my works, so if you wanna try it, always remember this DWYOR (Do With Your Own Risk)
5. And again, this is not my fault. This is either your fault not following my steps or the Flashify's developer.
6. Reporting this thread is useless as I already put the how to flash section, and you do not follow it.
thanks.
Devs, let's suspend our anger and do want we do best, develop.
Testing day 1, smooth !! Battery life 0%/h for 7 hour of sleep So far so good

Please do not make mirrors! If you need one, please post a reply here, and we'll make it happen. Thanks.
If you apply Interactive in Synapse, ALWAYS enable it for both clusters. Enabling it for only one will cause funny effects, perhaps even a solid chaos, batterydrain and other unpleasant things. You've been warned.

"The leak" - There are more leaks than either of us can count, some little ones here and there, and all of them hidden. Unlikely that there ever will come a time that there are no leaks at all
But I guess that you are reffering to the major leak with 5.0? That is in the Rom and framework afaik, and thus not my department to fix. I'm not even sure if 5.1 has the proper fix merged to be honest :/
Flashed on top of Alliance v3, a T-mobile based ROM. Everything is super smooth, call audio is fine, GPS test can't see any satellites. Will try some more stuff to see if I can get it to work and then report back.
EDIT:
Flashed the GPS fix from mythos in the international thread.
That post is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=60932260
Just flashed and rebooted, didn't even wipe cache / dalvik. Worked like a charm!

My profile pic, isn't it? Usually there are votings held in the english MIUI forum to decide which phone will (first) get an official port. By the amount of development and users on XDA, I'd put my bets rather on the edge-less S6. But since we can run their Roms too that should not be too big of a problem.
Then again the official 3rd party MIUI not always is a shining light at the horizon. I never liked it. If there are bugs, they won't always get fixed, very frustrating, but understandable - MiPhones do have priority. As to unofficial porting.. I have literally no idea, but it would be nice to see some CM12.1 and MIUI over here, altough I somehow doubt the latter..

thx for the kernel, @mythos234 . smooth as butter.
only one thing i've noticed, but it's not isolated to just your kernel. i've had this issue periodically in the past on nexus devices using aosp roms. it always came back to an issue in the kernel... not the rom. this issue is also present in another kernel in the forums for the s6 edge.
the issue is with google play movies not working. the app will open and you can select a movie, but a few seconds after hitting the play button there is a black screen and then it errors out. it doesn't matter if you are streaming the movie or if it's a downloaded one. black screen and then an error.
i've attached a log of the errors.
oh... i'm running simplrom btw.
thx, brosef.
