Press power and home to take a screenshot.

If u got the new Bricket-Kernel, you must use Volume Down + Power Button to make a Screenshot!

I tried but can't see the printed screen in gallery

How to turn off the phone when bootloop/system lag/ etc.

Just hold power button and volume-up button until the phone turns off after flashing with touch buttons.

Isn't it a case of simply holding the power button, without touching the volume button?

U have to push power button and volume up button at the same time to work. And think: If an app lags and u can't get the screen working? U can't put out the battery. This is the only exit if u don't have any PC and USB cable.

You can simply hold the power button. I've done it loads of times.
It doesn't work in lockscreen.

Just did it and works fine. Simply hold the power button.
Although the ROM you are on possibly does not have it.

I've tried it only on Sense ROMs, but it also works with AOKP/CM9 I think.

Is it possible for someone to remap the desires home button function to the trackpad?

Im currently running Miui Au v4/ICS by Marange and my Home button is wearing out, not recognising input too well, so i was wondering wether someone could remap the desires home button function to the trackpad since someone has already remapped the recent tasks function to the search key which i believe to be a breath of fresh air compared to having to press and hold the home button and wait till the recent apps menu appears...
with this app you can remap home to menu, back or search button.

[Q] Power Button

Does anyone else' power button on their one m8 click more towards the left side when facing the screen? the button goes down slanted towards the left side when I press it like the switch inside isn't centered with the power button. Is this normal for the M8?
Exactly the same problem !
