SIM Unlock - HTC One V

What's the cheapest SIM unlock method you have found for this phone?
I have seen one unlocking website offer $25 CND, but there must be cheaper somewhere else.
Is there a free unlock method?

Need Help! Unlocking Tmobile Dash / HTC S620

I am new to unlocking phones and would like to know what is the cheapest and most effective way to unlock a branded Tmobile Dash. I want to use it with full functionality on the Cingular network.
I have seen people mention that if you are a Tmobile subscriber they will give you directions to unlock it, and would like to know if anyone knows the details about this.
If this is not an option what should I do as far as paying to get it unlocked?
Thanks for the help,
Eric
I don't think there is a FREE solution as yet. you may check the spv-developers site Or pay for unlock sites.
What exactly does the "unlocking" enable you to do?

SIM unlock: enables you to use any carrier that uses sim cards. I use my T-mo phone when I go to Asia, buy a pre-paid sim and slap it in.
CID unlock: Install any Rom on the phone. Like a home brew rom.
anyone feel free to add on...
add this skin to your dash and you will love it even more.... if you like that kind of stuff...

Spend the $38 dollars it is definitally worth it rather than being cheap and possibly bricking your phone. I spent the $38 dollars and followed the guide on here and it worked beautifully with no problems.
Here's the link that I used to unlock my phone :

How can i unlock T-Mobile branded TP2?

Can SIM unlock be done with software?
1, you can purchase a unlocking code at the forum.
2, after staying in TMO for 90 days, TMO can give u the unlocking code for free by ur request.
Unlocked mine from ebay for $12 bucks. Do a search on Ebay.
You send them your IMEI code, they email you the unlock code.

[Q] Sim Lock question

Hi
My WFS is locked to T-Mobile in the UK. I understand that this lock can be removed either with a XTC clip or by a code which can be purchased from T-mobile. So how do the companies who advertise online unlock the SIM using the IMEI number do this?
Same ways as tmobile they purchase it from HTC then pass the cost on to you and charge you a bit more.
If you have the choice get it done by xtc clip, especially if you plan on rooting etc.

Seriously!, cant change default provider?

I just wanted to be clear.
I cannot change default provider without buying an unlock code?
I have never had to buy a code before
I have rooted it and "unlocked" it (via htcdev.com) as the word "unlock" has two meanings
You see, I can buy about 10 of these for $85 each (going out of business this weekend) and wanted to be clear what my profits would be to make them network free
I have read this was not possible on other threads but that was before htcdev.com allowed unlocking of bootloader and wondered if that had made a difference
Cheers
Unlocking your bootloader doesn't remove the SIM-LOCK (see FAQ at HTCdev)...........so if your phone is branded, you won't be able to use any other sim unless the Sim-lock is removed.............instead of buying the codes for $85,buy an XTC-Clip it removes all restrictions from your phone
Thanks

Cheers, I just wanted to make sure I hadnt missed anything
BTW the phones were $85 each not the unlock code
It would take about ten phones to make the XTC worth my while considering the AU dollar
Checking it out as I type
Bought Unlock code

I took too long and didnt get those phones, just the one I tried to work out
I succumbed and bought an unlock code although I will say I got it for free as I purchased it through freeunlocks.com
The whole thing seems dodgy but it worked out
I bought 250 business cards for $15 from vista and then they sent me an unlock code after a few hours that worked instantly.
I was wanting to get those business cards from that site anyway that advertises on EBay so they seemed legit
If I went direct they were are "free'' and $9 delivery but I will say I was able to unlock it for free.
Wish I had whatever code generator they are using.
So I now have a totally unlocked wildfire s (the b model here in OZ) for $85 cool and $15 worth of business cards
Wish I had been more ballsy and spent $800. Could made some cash

How to sim unlock HTC One M8 in Android 6.0?

Hi Guys,
I have HTC One M8 AT&T locked and it has android 6.0 (Marshmallow), how can I sim unlock this phone without paying any sites for the unlock code.
Thank you in advance.
If you are a current AT&T customer, and purchased the phone from AT&T, you can request the unlock code from AT&T.
Otherwise, you pretty much out of luck. Only way to unlock the SIM as far as I know is to pay for a code (usually costs less than $10 US) or s-off the phone. Only current working s-off method is sunshine app, which costs $25 US. So you're just better off buying the unlock code, which costs less.

Unfortunately, I tried that and the line still has pending payments. I got this phone from my aunt in the US and I'm here in PH. I guess i needed to pay the unlock code sites.
Thanks a lot
