[Q] ARHD No Sense Version - lockscreen. - HTC One X

I have recently flashed the no sense version of ARHD. Is there a way to be able to answer a phone call directly without having to unlock the lockscreen and enter my pin? I keep missing calls because of it.

This is a common problem with AOSP and occurs also on the Sensation at least that I know of.
Until there is a fix for it for the One X then your only other option is to download something like Full Screen Caller ID from the Play Store. This gives you the option to answer or decline the call before unlocking the device. Only thing is though free version has ads on the caller display so the paid version may be worth considering.

Voicemail Notification

Does anyone know how to disable the Voicemail notification?
I phoned Orange 3 times trying 3 different things like 123# and 2nd time they were doing something on there end which resulted me in turning my phone off and back on, then on the 3rd time, exact same thing.... But it's still there and really getting to me now lol
Any ideas anyone?

Do you mean it's there even though there's no VM waiting? If so, might be a bug in the FroYo ROM you're using...

Could try stock ROM...OR leave yourself a VM and listen to it. Delete it and see if then goes...
Had this problem with other phones on Orange.
Call customer support, and tell them to reset your mailbox. Thats the term they use.
Now its bringing back memories of my winmo Hermes, where I wouldn't get notifications, but when randomly checking my voicemail, would discover messages that had been left days ago without me realising i had a new mesaage, oh joy....
hi, i know this thread is like, welllll old, but im having the same problem, i have tried about 10 different roms (not to try and solve this problem!) and it is always there. my question is, would i need to go back to the stock 3uk rom in order to ring them and get them to reset my mailbox?

[Q] My phone number is Unknown (MIUI)

Hello~ I'm using MIUI rom.
1. setting -> system -> About phone -> 'My phone number' in 'status' -> 'unknown' is seen.
2. *#*#6484#*#* (test mode) -> 'SIM id' in 'Check SIM status' -> 'unknown' is seen and it also appears in 'SIM operator name'
* In cyanogen(mod)7 ROM, I enter 'My phone number' directly and let it recognize it. But is this impossible in MIUI ROM?
(* cynogen(mod)7 ROM
Currency settings -> Additional settings = enter my numbers directly.)
Please help me solve this problem and I would really appreciate it. It makes so much trouble.
bump!
Same issue here. Can't get DeskSMS to work without the phone knowing its number... Has the option just been removed from MIUI?
Bumping again. Asked in the Bulletproof MIUI thread too. Seen others ask and get no response so far.

I had the same problem on my stock G2. I had to call support and they fixed it in a jiffy. Just had to enter in some codes from the dialpad and the number showed up.

Interesting. So just tell them your phone number is showing up as "unknown"?
I just had an online chat with a CS rep. He had me power off my phone a couble times and take the SIM card out while he sent OTA SIM updates. Both texts got sent confirming that the OTA was received, but number is still "Unknown".
CS rep said I'd have to go use another T-mobile phone to get the OTA then move the SIM back. Oh well. Maybe I'll load my stock 2.2 ROM and get the OTA then try again.
Sorry hear your still having probs. Techs fixed my no number instantly.

Its all miui roms. In most roms you have the option to add number in advanced settings(for phone). No such options on miui though.

Still no known fix for it?
My phone number has never been anything but unknown since I got my DZ, regardless if I was on OTA ROMs or customs. I haven't got into any problem that that might cause though. Everything seems to be working fine for me >.<

That's not true, my MIUI shows my number without doing anything.
I think it's related to the SIM card. Did you use the new card that came with the phone or the one from your previous phone? My mom, for example, is using the SIM that she got about 10 years ago when we signed up with T-Mobile and it shows Unknown, but I'm using the new one and it shows my number where it should.

having the same issue with the empty number
has anyone found a fix for this yet? i know this thread is old, but I have been having this issue since I rooted my phone. I do not have the option in settings to change my number manually, or at least can't find it. Is there a sim manager or toolbox app that would allow me to do this? I mainly need the number to show up to use Tikl

Have to ask for help again....Text message bug on HOX

I have a small problem guys....when my phone is in sleep mode i don't get my text messages....as soon as i get the phone awake instantly i receive the texts....what seems to be the problem? need help cz i need to manually wake the phone and look for text messages....
P.S i am on stock with 1.29 latest update.....not rooted or flashed....
I already had a thread but im deleting it and refreshing my question as i have not had any response from anyone except for 1 which is downloading power saver settings but that didn't do anything.....Please help...Thanx....
UPDATE: On some other forum which i was searching for on Google, someone had posted to clear the cache and do a factory reset which i did and still i have the problem...i mean as soon as i manually wake the phone from sleep....i hear the tone and text message light appears....but if there are two texts for example another one coming immediately after the first one, then it notifies for both the texts....
***UPDATE (Possible Fix)*****
After searching thousands of forums i have found the problem to be that of software. Couldn't find a fix for it but found an app on the Play Store that does the trick...The app is call SMSAwake. Write it exactly like this in Play Store and you will find that it works and actually wakes the phone up and text is received. Glad i found something..... Do respond if you find it helpful.....THANKS.....
Yeah I have simmer on my phone if i receive a text phone do not notify me when I get one sometimes it do but loads of times it don't.
I will get the text if i go look in my sms inbox then they show up iv had once where someone sent me a pic and it just disappeared from my messages before I could receive it.
Im on stock untouched this started happening after the ota update from O2 very annoying that this happens think it's a software fault thou.
I had the same with the fb app on other phones never told me of any notification but on my hox it works perfect but texts do what the fb app use to do lol.

It sounds like it's losing access to the network while it's asleep. What's your mobile network state showing? If the signal's strong it should be solid green.

I often had this problem on an HTC Touch Diamond with Windows Mobile. What was happening in that case was the text messages were received, but the interrupt from the radio to the CPU didn't always work, or the phone was waking up, but going to sleep a split second before the alert had time to sound.
To the OP, what have you installed by way of applications? Things like battery savers or shutting down tasks using task killers could be the cause.
Regards
Phil

Assuming you guys are using stock ROMs and radios it has to be something specific to the One X and the carrier you're using. It happens all the time because one universal radio designed to work everywhere is bound to have issues occasionally on specific networks. HTC just pushed an update to the Nordic countries that updated their radio so I'm guessing there must have been some specific issues identified. 2.X when it's released will have a new radio so that might help.
I assume the One X has fast dormancy enabled by default. That can be a problem on certain networks that don't support it correctly. Here's a link to a thread on fast dormancy from the SGS3 forum that might help. Beyond that, I'm not sure what else to tell you. All phones don't work equally well on all networks.

Caller id

All my incoming calls are unknown. I've unbricked and tested this on cm10 and stock att GB. This is really puzzling, I've called my provider to make sure the feature is enabled.. why don't I get caller id?..... scratches head. I have also swapped out basebands v10j, v20e and v10h to see if baseband made a difference ..
I am using an unlocked bell p930 on rogers lte (cm10 running right now)... can anyone help get my caller id back ?
Thanks

Things I'd try:
1) Put your SIM in another phone and see if that phone receives correct Caller ID or not. If it doesn't, it's a network or SIM problem, not the phone.
2) Install the official Bell ICS update. Not HO!NO!'s flashable version -- install the actual update from LG that will revert everything to 100% stock. I don't know if you've already tried this.
If it still doesn't work after that, I don't have any clue what is going on.
This issue is caused by Roger's "name display". Unfortunately no roms (that I've found) for the P930 work with name display..you can either call Rogers and have them disable the name display part of your caller id...or try to code it yourself.. there's a guide available here
See I knew about cnap and actually asked rogers to shut it down. They said it wasn't possible as the value pack I was on included it. So I canceled the value pack and now pay 8 bucks for vanilla caller id and an extra 10 for some txt messages.. that's 3 bucks more than the value pack that also included voice mail, call waiting, forwarding and name display. But even with the name display removed I'm still getting unknown ..
I'm actually pretty pissed.. as a business man I need to know who is calling. At least a number so I can triage my calls.
Seriously annoyed at this. Thanks for the link, looks like ill be spending a weekend figuring this garbage out. Wtf, why is this even an issue.

For those that care, after restoring to stock GB and still having no caller id I decided it was time to try something else. Working S-Voice from GSIII

Before selling off my Galaxy s3 i took this s-voice apk and installed it on my ONE. I am on cognition 0.6. I just clicked on the apk and installed it.

Proof:
What doesn't work:
. Setting alarm
What Work's:
. Navigation
. Weather
. Opening applications
. Dialing contacts by name
Note: I am not an application developer/modifier. Just wanted to share what i found with my buddies here. Please feel free to modify the apk if you intended to. Install at your own risk.
Awesome can anyone else confirm this working with out any negatives?

Working on my HTC One internationnal with french language system.
Crashing when I want enter in settings and don't work with screen is off, but that apk is appreciate. :good:
I can confirm it works on my At&t HTC One running the Viper 2.1 ROM.....
I used it to:
Place a call
Send a text
Turn on Wi-fi
Turn off Wi-fi
Turn on Bluetooth
Turn off Bluetooth
The animation doesn't work well (that shows it's picking up your voice when requesting something), but it does register your voice pretty well.
Gonna try it later with my BT ear piece to see if I can get it to be the default "voice" app when I push the button on my ear piece, because the stock HTC One voice dialer stinks.
Just going to ask if anyone has had any issues with S-Voice causing Wifi not to work?
I really like S-Voice and have used it on every custom HTC One ROM I've had. I mainly use it with my bluetooth headset to make calls.... But after using it, I have issues connecting to my home Wifi. I can't say for sure it's S-Voice, but I've tried about 5 different ROMS in the past 3 months and have had wifi issues on every ROM after a short time, and this is the only app that has been consistent on all 5 ROMs, so I was wondering if anyone else has had wifi issues?
By issues, what I mean: It shows I'm connected, but doesn't work. The only way I've found to fix the issues is to dirty flash the ROM or wipe and fresh install.
I cannot get this to recognize my voice? Any more instructions? Thanks
