[Q] x Launcher Users - HTC One X

I have question for Apex Launcher users. Is there any way I can remove the background/curtain behind the icons in or the folder background? Sorry not sure what to call it. Or do I have to contact the app dev?

ADW launcher and paperless theme

hi all,
I am new on Android, so please excuse my stupid question
I installed the ADW launcher and the paperless theme.
The problem is that not all icons have been changed to the paperless icons, e.g. the phone, contact icons still are the standard icons.
Does someone has an idea how to solve this?
(My galaxy is not rooted yet)
Thanks.

Press the menu button when on the home screen, go in to adw setti
ngs, select themes and there is a check box at the top about which icons to use.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
I already tried this. The thing is, that some icons are from the theme, but not all.
Then they are not implemented... write an email to the developers and keep us up to date if you hear anything
Hmmm... As I wrote in my 1st post, the icons for phone and contacts are missing. And these icons are on the screenshots showing the theme,so I assume they are already implemented.
hmm, I don't use ADW anymore, I am on LauncherPro now, but try this:
When I tap the contacts icon for 1 sec I can select a new app to put there... select the contacts app again and then select the right icon.. This is how it works on LauncherPro, maybe there is a similar way on ADW

unfortunately this is not working in ADW

I noticed this too, seems to happen on non standard dialer/contact apps. I think the theme writers need to fix this, not sure ?
Almost made the switch from LP to ADW if it wasn't for this. I <3 BuuF
This is a problem to do with samsung replacing the phone, messaging and related icons. Where do I find the icons once the theme is installed? I can then go about replacing them.
If someone tells me where the icons are I can tell you how to replace them. I have looked everywhere and don't know where the theme is located.. Do they stay inside the apk in /system/app? Anyone know how I extract the apk
I am also creating a few custom backgrounds and icons for this theme. Any requests please let me know, I will be drawing icons for most of the apps.
I've re-packaged the APK with the proper Samsung Galaxy S icons. If there's still interest let me know and I can post it. All credits to the developer, all I did was rename some files.
Fixes:
Calendar
Calculator
Camera
Clock?
Contacts
Dialer (Phone)
I noticed this problem before too. A workaround that I use is to create a custom shortcut to phone and contacts with ADW and then you can choose a custom icon for it. Then you can choose an icon for your phone and contacts.
Hi merrimax,
I would be interested in the theme for Galaxy.
I just updated (today) ADW and the Main Dock center icon (Apps) is no longer in Paperlss style.

the new update to ADW had a large number of UI changes. I think with that he changed the name of the app drawer picture which is why most of the themes lost their app drawer picture. You just have to wait til the themer updates to the latest ADW. A lot have already, but I know some still arent yet (e.g. BuuF )
Hi merrimax, I'm still interested in the renamed icons.
Where can I find them in the Galaxy?

[Q] Remove Text from Icons in App Drawer

I am using an HTC Incredible w/CM6.1 and LauncherPro. I'd like to know if there is a way to hide the text under the icons in the app drawer to leave just the icons. I found a few mods for "Rosie" that do this, but I don't know what Rosie is, much less how to make those work for my setup.
Anyone think they could help?
Rosie is the Sense launcher, so it won't help you with LauncherPro.
I'm not a LP guy, but I do know that ADW can do what you're looking for. I don't see why LP wouldn't have the option too...

Feature request: same app icon in more than one folder

I just bought the prime version of Nova and I like that I can nest folders inside each other in the app drawer but I would really like to also be able to have the same icon in more than one folder at the same time. Sometimes an app fits into more than one category.
Why open new thread if you can ask this in NL thread or PM dev? This is useless
I thought I was posting on the Nova Launcher subforum. I made a mistake.

Using HTC themes with nova launcher?

Hello everyone,
Can we use HTC themes with nova launcher? I mean if i m using nova launcher on my htc one m8, can i change apps icons through htc themes? Because I have successfully changed my apps icons using sense launcher, but can i do the same in nova also?
And one more related question is, if we start using nova launcher, will htc themes app then become useless (if we cant use it with nova)?

You have to make the changes to Sense Themse with the Sense launcher (Sense Homt) active. When you have choosen at theme and acent colors, you can install/activate another launcher.
When you istall another launcher Sense Home gets inactive and you can't choose any Sense thems or make changes to them.

Thank you for your response.
That means we can only use colors in nova launcher , what we have already chosen using sense theme? Cant we use the icons also in nova launcher, which we have already applied in sense launcher? I mean while using sense launcher, if i apply some icon set, they will be applied, but if i then change to nova launcher, can those changed icons stay there?

[Q] guide to hide default app drawer icon in dock on CM11

hoi board
i searched the board but failed to find an answer to my question:
how to hide the default app drawer icon from CM11 trebuchet laucher.
i have a replacement app drawer installed on my S4M and want
to hide the default app drawer of trebuchets without installing
any other launcher!
can i somwhere 'hack' a setting file to hide the default icon?
so i am looking into a ressource-hack or so in particular,
and not an other launcher!
consider that before posting answers
like: yeah, use nova it is the best of all an can do that.
nova or others cant!
they replace the whole launcher and they can be customized
to not show a dock and/or a drawer-icon.
i want to stay on CM11 trebuchet!
...
hello world
