Deodexing - HTC Wildfire S

Hi folks, I want to install something on my cm7 by alquez. It says the rom is not deodexed. There's no odex files in the rom. I think framework - Res isn't deodexed. Could someone help me with the process? Or has someone successfully deodexed the rom? I have android kitchen installed. Can I deodexed it in that?
Thanks.

I am just curious why you want this? The reason I ask... does this remove the AIO Lockmod? I am wanting to install the Starburst ROM, but DO NOT want the lockmod installed. I browsed over the midnight rom and it says included framwork to remove lockmod should you not want it.

You pull your SystemUI.apk from the device and then decompile it with apk tool. After youve done that replace the .png files in the res folder with the ICS ones or the ones you like and then recompile the apk and push it back. You will need root to do this and enabled USB debugging. Also note that you might have to rename a large number of files so you should do this when you have free time

[Q] deodexed mods on odexed rom?

Can I use Deodexed mods on a rom that is odexed? ... this one (✰10.11.12✰ ≡ROM≡ D.I.R.T//DigitalKarma v8 REINCARNATION) to be specific.
I don't think so. It would be missing the .odex file

[Q] Can we make themes for ur Nexus 4 now?

Can we make themes yes or no? I try to flash a themed mms and when I reboot, it isn't there, why? I'm assuming it will happen the same thing if I theme the systemui.apk and framework-res.apk and flash them, correct? Do we have to wait for custom roms to be able to theme?

I suggest wiping /system when going from odexed to deodexed to avoid possible conflicts. If the OS sees a .odex version of a system apk, it will use that code instead of the newer deodexed one.
Or the deodexed rom install script needs to delete the *.odex files in /system/app.
